Scott Thomson affectionately known as Scotty T was an ironman from North Bondi who trained hard and got rewarded.
Scott Thomson was part of the Uncle Tobys Super Series from the very start, winning in Southport in 1994 was a highlight for Scott. Scott also placed in the 1991 Australian ironman championships gaining a bronze medal.
Scott is a wonderful coach doing great things in Sydney, NSW and his home club North Bondi.

Courtney Hancock is an impressive athlete competing at the highest level for 15 years.
Courtney Hancock is the only athlete to win the triple crown of elite iron person racing in one year, the Nutri Grain iron women series, National iron women championships and the Coolangatta Gold.
Courtney Hancock has won 3 x Nutri Grain iron women series, 3 x Coolangatta Golds, 2 x National iron women championships plus multiple national surf life saving championships.
Courtney Hancock is a wonderful person and athlete is has her ups and downs and her story is one that is an inspiring and educational.
Michael King iron man who competed in the Uncle Toby's Super Series was a professional Australian Iron Man circuit that ran from 1989 to 2001. It was considered by many to be the pinnacle of Surf Lifesaving and inspired many young kids to become involved in the sport. It also made the sport professional and gave the opportunity for contracted competitors to make a full-time living from the sport.
Televised on Network 10, The Uncle Toby's Super Series became a major event on the Australian Sporting Calendar each summer. Michael was the series winner in 1994-95 also a winner of the Coolangatta Gold in 1991.
Michael is also a multiple Australian surf Life saving champion.

Oscar Chalupsky (born 1 March 1963) is a South African paddler. He was South Africa's team captain at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona where he competed in K-4 1000 m event, reaching the semi-finals. He is also a 12 time World Surfski Champion - his latest win (2012) coming at the age of 49, 29 years after his first win.
He attended Westville Boys' High School in Durban, South Africa. In 1979 he became the youngest ever South African to represent his country in life-saving. In his final year at school, 1980, he represented Natal at Craven Week Rugby, received South African colours for water polo and life-saving, and became the first person ever to win both the junior and senior men's Iron Man titles at the South African Surf Lifesaving Championships.
He co-founded Epic Kayaks with Greg Barton and was Vice President until 2015 when he joined Nelo Kayaks as CEO of the Surfski division. He is currently based in Portugal.
He remains extremely active in the sport of surfski worldwide and is one of the sport's most prominent athletes and advocates, attending events and hosting coaching clinics.
Danielle Mackenzie if fast becoming one of the worlds best water people excelling in both surf ski and iron women. Winner of the most New Zealand surf life saving gold meals and 2019 world ocean ski champion, Danielle is a true champion.
Her fight to learn the art of her sports is what makes her the champion she is. A valuable member of the BMD Northcliffe surf life saving club.
Lachlan Tame is an Australian canoe sprinter. He won the bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics at Rio de Janeiro in the K2 1000m alongside Olympic champion Ken Wallace.
Based at the Avoca surf club, Tame had a $5000 bet with a mate that he could not make the London Olympics.
Tame was inducted into the Surf Life Saving Australia Hall of Fame in 2015. Widely considered as the most dominant ski paddler of his generation, Tame won four consecutive single ski, two lifesaver relays a double ski and a ski relay titles at the Australian Surf-Lifesaving Championships.
He is a two time member of the Australian Surf Life Saving Team and a three time member of the Australian Men's Kayak Team.

Naomi Flood (born 7 April 1986) is an Australian kayaker. She was the 2009 overall winner for the Nutri Grain Ironwoman Series. She represented Australia at 2012 Summer Olympics in the K-2 500 m event, with teammate Lyndsie Fogarty. Naomi also represented Australia at the Rio Olympics 2016 in the K1 500m.Naomi started canoeing in 2009[5] with friends from surf life saving in order to improve her surf ski skills. The winner of multiple Australian Surf Life Saving Titles Naomi is a true inspiration to all athletes.

MyKayakCoach Jim Walker chats with Multiple former World and Australian Champion Ironman, Nathan Smith. In 2005 Nathan won the Open Ironman Race at the Australian Championships just after his sister Kristyl, won the corresponding Ironwoman event. Nathan and Kristyl were the first to achieve such a feat and remain the only brother/sister pairing to do so to this day. At just 32 Nathan was inducted into the Hall of Champions, joining the ranks of Australian sporting heroes such as Dawn Fraser, Sir Don Bradman and Evonne Goolagong.

Grant Kenny OAM is an Australian former Ironman, surf lifesaver, canoeist and is an Australian household name as Kellogs Nutri-Grain Ironman. Kenny made headlines at 16 years old in 1980 when he won both the Australian Junior and Open Iron Man Championship on the same day. Grant went on to win the Australian Open Ironman Title the next three years in a row.
