THIEpodcast: Recent Episodes

Jonathan Matthie

THIEpodcast (short for Photogra-thie) is hosted by Jonathan Keith Matthie: Photography & Broadcast Journalism student and creator of Photograthie.com — I photo walk, and talk with my community and anyone who listens, seeking out our inner creative through art, journalism, music, photography, etc. — Photography in particular, is a great form of self-therapy.

Listen along as I invite special guests to the show and discuss all the things; most importantly, how creativity can improve our social connections, help us overcome mental health obstacles, and create positive change overall.

This is a selection of music liners, talk and weather breaks from my Loyalist College Hot Hits radio station audio production logs. Just uploading them for posterity, so in the future, I can look back and see how I’ve improved. I’m also sharing because it includes my live eulogy to local Belleville nurse and city council lady, Pat Culhane, who was a dear friend and mentor to me, and to many in the Quinte Region.

A radio commercial I took part in, directing, editing, and sharing my voice in, about local business, Midtown Bowling. This was a production assignment made for my college Radio Broadcasting program. Thanks to my special guests Melissa and Dylan, for their vocal contributions.

My first (post-enrollment to Loyalist Radio Broadcast Journalism) sound-byte/quote, what-have-you. When I heard it, I couldn't help myself... lol. 🤣 From now on, this is how I will remind myself to ALWAYS fact check when doing any type of news story. "No, but you're not reporting it correctly, Jonathan." Uh, yes, Mr. Trump, actually, I think I am. Audio clipped from the "Axios on HBO" presentation of an interview with President Trump, via YouTube. It was conducted by national political correspondent Jonathan Swan. I recorded the clip using the RODE Podcaster Pro, connected to my laptop, trimmed in Audacity, then tran back for play as n sound effect in future podcasts.
