Shirley Talk delves into personal experiences of battling cancer and raising awareness of the efforts of Shirley's Way. Shirley's Way was created to help those who are fighting cancer with everyday living expenses, as cancer doesn't just affect people physically and emotionally, but financially as well. The founder of Shirley's Way heard stories of people losing everything because they were too sick to work, being burdened with piling bills while fighting for their lives; all the while losing his mother to her own battle. He made a promise to his mom, Shirley, that he would do something different in offering support to those experiencing financial hardships brought on by cancer. This was the beginning of Shirley's Way.

Mike asks them about their experience in helping people in the local community. They pull back the curtain on some of the unknown questions regarding end-of-life care. They detail a local, tight-nit group of doctors and nurses that focus not just on helping their patients, but their patient's families as well. Each guest recounts their experiences through school and what led them to choosing to help people and their families in the most difficult of times. From planning for death, to forming a living will — they give excellent advice on planning for end-of-life care and what to start planning for living wills.
