The American Medical Spa Association (AmSpa) recently held the The Medical Spa Show 2021 at the Wynn Las Vegas last April 7 to April 10, 2021 after having been rescheduled for late January in preparation for the show’s compliance to COVID-19 safety measures.
One of the most revered gatherings for those who are in the Med Spa industry, The Medical Spa Show is a national trade show dedicated for non-invasive medical aesthetic practices that brings together owners, physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants and other practitioners of all titles, as well as influencers and thought-leaders. The four - day show features educational classes complete with awarded CME points, Exhibit Halls that showcase the latest technologies, and a great pool of networking from amongst those that are interested and to those that are already involved in the med spa industry.

Mitra Silva is the Founder and CEO of Simour Design, a medical interior design firm that specializes in creating medical offices and spaces as a physical manifestation of the practice’s noble purpose. The firm’s focus goes beyond beauty to provide comfort, functionality, and flow - all while representing their practice’s brand story.
Mitra spent years gaining experience and knowledge during her tenure with HLW, an Award-Winning design company, where she got involved in projects for design development for major companies such as Walt Disney, ESPN, HBO, Intuit Corporate and Equinox. She then pursued an independent career afterwards and worked with upscale hospitality, commercial and residential projects in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, Brentwood, West Los Angeles and Calabasas.

Susan Wos is the founder and owner of Salonspa Connection, a Kansas based company dedicated in the salon, spa and barber industry that serves to connect licensed professionals and owners to resources such as jobs, education and business for sale.
Susan has over 20 years of experience in the industry that started to blossom back in 1995 after graduating from a cosmetology school. Her first official position as a hair stylist at the Jones Store in Overland Park gave her the immediate opportunity to grow her clientele, becoming a top stylist in one of the largest salons in the city. She then opened up her own salon at 25 and her success continued for 5 more years where she sold her salon and moved overseas to expand her expertise in a completely different environment. There she worked as a senior stylist for a high-end corporate salon group. After gaining the much needed experience she ventured out for, she moved back home to manage the salon she sold and thrived further in her career as an independent stylist.
Even with the constant success, Susan recalls the struggles that came with her endeavors after having experienced the roles of being an employed stylist and an owner of a salon. This allowed her to develop an eye for what works best in employment within the salon and spa industry and launched a one-of-a-kind employment matching system.

Dr. Cristyn Watkins is from Kansas City, MO, attended The University of Kansas for her Human Biology Bachelor degree and completed her medical training in New York City and New Jersey. Becky Hughes, RN - CAC is Owner and Director of Medical Services of Advanced Aesthetics Center. She brings over 30 years of nursing experience, including over a decade in Aesthetics, to her practice.

Mackinze Tabor is the Owner of Laser, No Razor. Mackenzie used to work as a server four nights a week, in addition to Laser, No Razor, six days a week to get her business off the ground and thriving.
