In the first chapter of Jen’s podcast series about beer culture, she explores the science behind beer as well as the art. She wants to know which aspect reigns supreme in its creation, so she asks a few local brewers to weigh in with their opinions about it.
Jen and her partner Aaron go to rural North Carolina to try and purchase some local honey from an apiary to be used in making mead. Later, they sample mead from some homebrewers in town.
Summary: So you want to open your own nanobrewery? It isn’t a simple process, but the rewards make it well worth it. Don’t believe me? Follow my journey, then, as I reflect back to when I first had the idea to where I am now. From designing the logo, to marketing, to filling out paperwork, hiring lawyers and architects, getting approval to work on your building, and negotiating with investors to making the actual beer for the brewery, you will be on your feet constantly. The highs are awesome. The lows are devastating. The end? We’re hoping exciting.
