In this Episode, Chris explains the concept of "cutting of the authority that establishes chaos" in a discussion about coming out from under the burden of legalism in the church and the community of faith.
According to Chris, "The authority to which your submit or to which you appeal will determine whether you experience chaos or peace in your life. It is all about establishing the right authority. If you want peace, you have to cut off the authority that establishes chaos and legalism in the church is just that…chaos."
Chris explains how to come out from under the authority of legalism by drawing from the illustration of the ancient Hebrew word, Shalom.
The question at the beginning and at the end of the episode is, "Do you ever feel like being a member of a church or the Christian community is more of a burden than it is a source of peace, encouragement, and strength?"
