Started from a coffee-induced friendship and the deep-rooted belief that each one of us is called to greatness, the Worthy Living podcast is here to push you to take hold of your life. We believe that a life of greatness is one that is holy, and a holy life is one where we can make a sincere gift of ourselves in the present. We wish to invite you into friendship with us as we discuss how to strive for discipline, freedom, purpose, and integration in every aspect of our lives so that we can grow into the person we are created to be. Grab a cup of coffee, plug in your headphones, and get ready to build a life you are worthy of living.

It's feeling a little Lenty in here, and I am not so sure that I enjoy that. If you are anything like me, I never know what to give up for Lent. I usually overpromise or underpromise and then end up feel frustrated the whole time. So what's a girl to do?
Well the first ten minutes of this episode have absolutely everything to do with Mother Angelica, priest being direct to you in the confessional, and our thoughts on the superbowl. Pretty entertaining to say the least. After, we finally start talking about ambition in the corporate world, finding work that is challenging and life giving, and answering what God calls us too.
Here it is - the M word. oops. Most of us have heard modesty talks before - usually ones that leave us feeling discouraged, confused on what it actually means to dress modestly, and pretty sure that we are going to have to give up all of our pants in favor of long, prairie-girl skirts (not that there is anything wrong with this because trust me I have a fair amount of skirts in my closet that Laura Ingals Wilder would approve of). But modesty is so not about covering ourselves up. It's not about treating our bodies as something that is inherently bad and needs to be hidden. Modesty is about reverencing the good and the beauty that our bodies are. Listen now on Apple and Spotify!

Today we get to chat with my best friend Jahanna! Jahanna currently serves in the military, is a mother of a sweet baby boy, and a wife to her wonderful husband Noah. J and I met at military school six years ago where we quickly developed a friendship over alot of laughs, tears, and adventures.
Today we sat down and discussed J’s faith journey from college to beginning her conversion into the Catholic Church. We discuss her decision to get off birth control and the immense pressure of seeing femininity as a burden in college.
This was such a fresh, funny, and uplifting conversation! Take a listen!

We are back and better than ever! We have a surprise…we built a website! We spent the last month coming up with a mission for the Worthy Living Collective, and dreaming of where we want the podcast to head this year!
Follow us @theworthylivingpodcast to check out our new website!

Goals are important, but having systems to maintain your goals is even MORE important. Today, Trina and Kendyl share their five biggest goals for the next couple months, and how they are trying to maintain these goals.
1) Track How Often You Do Your Habits
2) Have an Accountability Partner
3) Tell People About Your Goals
4) Study How to Improve Your Habits
5) Persevere
Book Recommendations about building better habits:

Resilience by Eric Grietens
This week we talk about how perfectionism is not an ideal. Often, the want to do something perfectly can turn into a hyper-focus of ONLY wanting to do things perfectly or not at all. We are not meant to be perfectionist, and often God wants us to step out of our comfort zones, stretch us, and allow us to trust in Him.
Trina and Kenny share their own stories on how perfectionism started to creep into their own lives, and how they started to learn how to let go of trying to control every moment.

Part 2 we get nitty and gritty about virtuous friendship. We open up about how we started our own friendship. Kenny and Trina are complete opposites, like COMPLETE opposites. Over the last four years it has taken alot of work, perseverance, and sacrifice to grow together and learn to love eachother better. And we are still learning!
We cover how sacrifice, exclusivity, vulnerability, tenderness, and compromise are all parts of learning how to love our friends better. Virtuous friendship takes work. Like ALOT. But its so so worth it. Take a listen!

Are you trying to grow in your spiritual life, but aren't sure where to start? Today, we are talking about the basics. These four areas of your life are foundational to be able to grow in body, mind, and soul.
Have you ever looked at the Saints and wondered how they got there? Do you ever wonder if you might become a Saint one day? Today we are talking about Magnanimity. Magnanimity is sometimes called the "greatest virtue". It is our calling to greatness. We were designed for glory, not because of our own merit, but because of God's love. He has created us for greatness.
