You are the sun off the 5 people you hang out with most. Your inner circle mirrors your behaviors and beliefs. If you are trying to do something different or improve something you need to assess who you give time to. Who bends your ear? Who do you go to for advice? Does your married friend always vent about her husband? Taking an honest look at who influences your cup will tell you who pours into it and who doesn’t. It can have a positive effect on many things, well-being being one of them.
Appreciate is defined: to recognize the full worth of, to understand (a situation) fully; recognize the full implications of. This is especially important in a moment of anxiousness or frustration. We get so hyper focused on one negative or scary aspect of a situation that we fail to see the situation for what it truly is. Practicing appreciation dumps helps to remove the tunnel vision and release the weight of the situation so you can approach it in a better mental place.
After bouncing on my rebounder thinking about the lymphatic system I realized that I wasn’t just getting my lymph fluid flowing. I am a mom of two and am not alone in the area of weak bladder control after baby; but did you know that babies aren’t the only cause and over half of us women will suffer symptoms of a weak pelvic floor?

Your-On-Your-Own. yo-yo. I used to think this was just code for “Moms too busy to cook, fend for yourself”. It is not, it’s unhealthy, it’s a conscious decision to lose weight (usually quickly) and it is not sustainable. As a former Yo-Yo-er I can attest to the fad diets and the reading on the scale sucking you into quick weight loss hype and hot girl summer stress! But the negative impact overall is not worth it, let’s talk about why.

We operate from a place of Love or a place of Fear. Today, this week, let’s focus on saying and doing everything in love. It’s tough man, it takes a self awareness that is hard to be conscious of consistently. When we are able to be more aware of this little by little we make some big shifts in our energy, physiology and mood. See what happens and let me know!
When momma is alone in the car and random things come to mind. You never know what you’re going to get!
What goal do you have? It could be a health goal, a financial goal, a reading goal, or a goal to eat more veggies. No matter the goal during the holiday season we all find ourselves on autopilot from time to time. Autopilot distracts us from our goals and confuses us to be stagnant when we otherwise want to move the needle in a more positive direction! Doing ONE thing each day can move that needle. It doesn’t need to be a big thing, it can be small. So what is one thing today that can help you achieve your goal and finish 2021 in a better place?
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 share the comfort you have been given with others. This time of year it is wonderful to feel the energy in the air, it is easy to take things for granted with all the excitement but I love that is also acceptable to be grateful for everything. We all have things to be grateful for and I believe that it is our duty to share the comfort we have with others through compassion. However that looks for you do not forget to practice daily gratitude this week and beyond.
Fiber is something my grandparents used to worry about. I never thought much of it but in this episode we explore the benefits of being mindful to fiber and why it is incredible.
Color has a huge impact on our mood, our vibe and our energy. There is some cool science behind it, in this episode I’m going to share how changing up one thing can impact your day, shift your energy and help you feel more in charge of the day. Doing this helps me when I feel the funk of the shoulder seasons. Change is good! And this is a manageable bite!
Time management is important. My mom preached it to me as well as saying “Hurry!” So as an adult and a mom I have had to learn how managing my time works for me. If disease cannot live in a ph balanced state wouldn’t it make sense that self destructive thoughts couldn’t live in a mind that was balanced? Achieving that balance starts with your spiritual fitness. Taking the time to do intentional breathing is a wonderful practice but can easily get thrown off because our days get ahead of us and we go on auto pilot. Get present by being present. Intentional breathes and a cognitive check in can give you enough of a mental break that some divine intervention can sneak in and help. God wants to help! We need to be quiet and still for a few intentional moments though if we want to hear the guidance.
Making your bed is a chore that your mom used to make you do right? Well after hearing it over and over again as an entrepreneur I see the benefits of it as a stage for your day. It causes a ripple effect, one that helps snowball into other completed tasks or one that carries mediocre results with you everywhere. Follow the amazing and super inspiring Debbie Neal and her Level Up podcast for more amazing nuggets.
Seasons bring inevitable change. Much like the 4 seasons we have seasons in our life. Change is going to happen, learn what this season has to offer and check in with yourself. Are you living your seasons on autopilot? If so jolt yourself out of that and into the present. We may not know how long fall will last but we can be sure winter is around the corner. Prepare for the change and to do that you have to take off autopilot. Let me know how you do this: a rubber band on your wrist or mini meditations, or word play. I’d love to hear other ways you prepare and learn from your seasons in life.
The way we speak to ourselves does more than just add fun commentary to our day. There is a physical response that happens as a result of our mental state. Water is a basic need for survival. We all know that, our moms have all harped on us to drink more water. But do you know how vital it is? In today’s episode we touch on the tip of the iceberg of why water is crucial for our everyday mood, happiness and functionality as a being.
Hiking with Faith is a continuous practice. Much like hiking with two kiddos. He has more patience than I do, He will wait with you as long as you need.
“In the case of everything perfect we are accustomed to abstain from asking how it became.” -Friedrich Nietzsche “We prefer our excellence fully formed,” “ Mythologizing natural talent lets us all off the hook.” -Angela Duckworth. “It’s practice, it’s training and it’s experimenting, while pushing through the pain to be the best I can be.” -David Blaine. Perfection was taken away from humankind when Eve ate from the tree of wisdom. Now we have shame, second thoughts, embarrassment, and conflict. Why strive for an ideal that doesn’t exist when the only thing we are asked to do is to do the absolute best we can in what we are called to do.
Gratitude is the foundation for abundance. If you aren’t happy now you won’t be happy with more. You’ll always be searching for happiness if you aren’t grounded in gratitude. Gratitude helps you stay present in the positive. This has helped with my anxiety because it takes my focus from the future what-ifs and forces my focus on the goodness around me currently. Gratitude shifts your perspective. What you talk to yourself about on the inside is what you see on the outside. Where your focus goes your energy goes, make sure you focus on the good!
