The Clarity of Self podcast is geared towards showing individuals, especially high achieving ones, of all ages that many people like them struggle with various forms of mental health issues: depression, anxiety, stress, and more.

The host Clinton Washington III is a student at Furman University pursuing a B.M. in Music Performance Percussion and Information Technology. In each episode, he will interview successful individuals from various fields and showcase how he and the interviewee overcame hardships to improve their future and health.

The following episode is with the late Michael Morgan. Maestro Morgan was the conductor of the Oakland Symphony for over 30 years. Starting at the age of 12, he started conducting orchestras. In 1986 he was selected as the assistant conductor of the Chicago symphony at the age of 29 and 4 years later he started conducting in Oakland. 

Through this episode, we talk about his life journey as a conductor, how to diversify orchestra concerts and programs, and his ability to stay focused and determined as a black gay man.
