Here's my current version of my identity confirmation statements. I listen to this every morning 3 times and hone myself in on who I am working towards being. This helps a lot in the decisions I make throughout the day.

There's nothing more important than being in alignment with ourselves, but we can only do that if we know who we are working towards.

In this episode we explore the difference between active and passive identity. Bet you didn't think that there was even such a thing. And because of such unawareness, we easily fall into a victim mentality.

Along with this episode is an exercise for you to come up with identity confirmation statements in the areas of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. To give you an idea of what that could look like, I've published a separate episode of my current version of my identity statements.

I'd love to hear your experience of putting together your identity confirmation statements, so please reach out to me!

Enjoy this poem by masculinity coach, Alan Howard. Music is extended intentionally afterwards for you to sit into refection and meditation on who this new person is and what king energy looks like for you.

The essence of masculinity is simply having the courage to express yourself in full authenticity. It's the hardest thing to do, but if you choose to have the courage, it's an exciting person you'll meet on the other side.

I hope you've enjoyed this two part episode. It's an episode that's close to my heart because I've had to challenge a lot of norms from the environments that I grew up in and build a whole new future for myself.

Diana gave 3 great steps to challenging norms:

  1. Identify how the norm is impacting us
  2. Generate a lot of self compassion, patience and self love
  3. Visualize what you want your future to look like and move toward it.

If you're looking to learn more about Diana, you can find her IG @toocoolforscooling or her podcast Too Cool for Schooling.

After seeing in episode 1, that we are ultimately the reason why we get stuck, it also allows us to see that we are also ultimately capable of getting ourselves unstuck.

A lot of the reasons why we feel stuck is from outside of us, so this week we look at how we let others get us stuck. In this episode, we discuss:

  1. How we let others influence our decisions
  2. How we let others dictate our worth
  3. How we let others decide our happiness.

My hope is that once we see the tendencies and the realities of how we let others get us stuck, we can also make arrangements to change that.
