This is the last episode of 2022! It is dedicated to my late husband Harold. He transitioned on the date of this episode being published-12.28.2020. This after show is me reflecting on my 2022. It has been summed up in a spoken word/poem written by the anointed, gifted, & talented A'kasha Jenkins. A'kasha was a guest along with her husband Anthony on the "Saved Married Millennials" episode. She summed up my year so eloquently and she captured it perfectly. I'm grateful to her for allowing the Lord to use her for me in this way. I pray I did it justice in reading it
My prayer is God will continue to show you that you are not alone in what you may have endured or encountered in 2022. Prayerfully you were inspired this year to know that your situation is just part of the Stops Along the Journey of your life.

God always has other plans! I had recorded the after show and was in the midst of editing, however, I really was not feeling it. So, I have a meeting with a friend about something totally different and once we finished, we began talking about the goodness of God and being grateful and thankful. At that point, I was like let's talk about it on my podcast. My special guest is Tashika Pope. She is sharing a bit about the goodness of God and how thankful and grateful she is.
Let's remember although there is a date on the calendar every year to celebrate Thanksgiving, we should be living a daily lifestyle of Thanksgiving for everything God has done, doing, and will do.

The special guest on this month's episodes is ME😊 yours truly. The month of November is synonymous with the Thanksgiving holiday. Thanksgiving is defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary as the act of giving thanks; a prayer expressing gratitude; and a public acknowledgement or celebration of divine goodness. This is my public acknowledgement of giving thanks to God. Even when I felt as though life was not so great, the Bible states in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 KJV "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." I was not always in the mind space to give thanks but when I truly look back on my life, I can see how God has always been there for me. Romans 8:28 KJV states "And we know that all things work together for good to them that LOVE God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

This month's Stops Along the Journey, we are sharing when God makes you promise, it will happen. Our special guest is Dr. Cherié Graham. She is the Director of Academics of Lake Norman Charter and an Elder & Minister of Music at Bethel Temple Faith Church in Concord, NC. Biblically, seven is the number of completion. She shares her story through her three sevens on her journey that ends with a double blessing. She shares how she was dealing with uterine fibroids, which are non-cancerous tumors in the uterus. However, after going through surgery & having a reconstructed uterus, Cherié shares of a prophecy she received about having children. Although it didn't happen when expected or even when her doctor told her to get pregnant, it happened in God's time. God gave her double for trouble.
If God has made you a promise and it has not been fulfilled yet, just keep holding on and trusting the process because it will happen. Numbers 23:19 in the KJV states "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? " In the NLT version "God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?" Trust the process and know at completion God is fulfilling His promise He made to you.

This month's stop along the journey of life is about my comfort zone. Are you a person who is ok where you are and don't see the need to move out of that which is familiar? I am that person who is comfortable being in the back, behind the scenes, and definitely not seen. But things & situations happen & some unexpectedly forces you out of that which is familiar to you. This is the case with me. I was one who desired to be an entrepreneur but was not sure what that really looked like. As well as whatever it would be, I would do it behind closed doors-in my comfort zone. I don't need to be out front or the face of it. I don't like the attention as well as I don't want to be an imposter. Well God is saying different. Hence why I have a podcast. I share being forced out of my comfort zone on this month's episodes. PCOS (Polycystic ovary syndrome) is a condition in which a woman has increased levels of male hormones (androgens). Many problems occur as a result of this increase of hormones, including:
- Menstrual irregularities
- Infertility
- Skin problems such as acne and increased hair growth

God has given us free will to choose in life, but sometimes when He has a plan and purpose in our lives, He will intervene. In my life, I have done things I am not proud of and ashamed of doing and in this episode, I am getting unmasked and naked. My prayer is it will encourage you to either don't go down the same path I have or if you have, know that God is a forgiving God. I am thankful and grateful for the mercy God shows me every day. It is so underserved, but He still shows it.
I have shared this story with people on an individual level when lead to do so. Now it is time to for me to unmask, be naked, and unashamed in front of everyone. I have feelings and thoughts of what people may think but if it helps someone it is worth sharing. I have overcome my guilt, lack of responsibility, depression, and suicidal actions associated with it. If I can overcome, YOU can too! Relationship with God and having great people in your life that do not judge you and prays with and for you is key.
