Freedom Rhythm actually comes from scripture.
In fact, Matthew 11:28-30, (words spoken by Jesus) and He says to you, "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me- watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly."

Welcome back to Peace After Combat! Today Tiffany and the Colonel sit down with guest Scott DeLuzio. He is an Army veteran, having served six years with the Army National Guard, including a deployment to Afghanistan in 2010. Scott’s brother, Steven, was also deployed to Afghanistan in 2010. Unfortunately, Steven was killed in action on August 22, 2010. After returning home, Scott struggled with coping with the stresses of combat, the loss of his younger brother, and adjusting back to civilian life. In the years following Scott’s deployment, he noticed other veterans dealing with their struggles in unhealthy ways. Scott started his podcast, Drive On Podcast, to connect with current and prior service members. He interviews veterans and civilians to discuss personal triumphs, life experiences, and emotional hardships to give hope and strength to the military community.
Scott lives in Surprise, Arizona, with his wife, Vicki DeLuzio, and their three children.

Welcome back to another episode of Peace After Combat with your hosts, Dr Tiffany Tajiri and Dr Kristina Seymour. Today the docs talk about how emotions are energy in motion. They can be positive energy or negative energy. The law of conservation of energy states that energy cannot be created nor destroyed. Only transformed from one form of energy to another.
1 John 4:18 18 "There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love".

Welcome back to another episode of Peace After Combat with your hosts, Dr Tiffany Tajiri and Dr Kristina Seymour. Today the docs discuss the harsh reality of failure. We want to talk about how we can turn our setbacks into comebacks. "There is no such thing as failure. Either you win or you learn". Here's the thing, if you fail, you have to choose to learn. If you remain stuck in a vicious cycle of not thinking you're good enough, that failure can manifest at that point, and we don't want to ever get there. We want you to continue to move, continue to grow, because in stuck-ness is where failure manifests. So as long as you're moving, shaking, and growing, you're never ever going to fail.

In today's episode, we're going to discuss the topic of suicide. We want to focus on extremes and specifically how to use extremes for your good, not your demise but we're going to give you a reframe and that reframe is going to come from the perspective of extreme thinking.

Welcome to this episode of Peace After Combat with licensed clinical psychologists, Dr. Tiffany Tajiri and Dr Kristina Seymour. Today we're going to be discussing Rhythm Restoration which is a therapy created by Dr. Tiffany.
Rhythm Restoration is a spiritual protocol aimed at bringing peace and restoration to painful life experiences, and to begin the journey of living the abundant life God has called us to.
It has been less than a decade since our culture began to unravel the stigma associated with mental illness. In that time, few have combined God’s Word and psychology to offer a faith- and science-based protocol to help the mind heal.
Simply put, God created us – body and spirit together! Our bodies function through a complex series of biochemical and electrical reactions that we can learn about and understand through science! Doctors and scientists endeavor to physically understand what it means to be human. Theologians, clergy, and philosophers may try to understand the human condition through the lens of God’s revelation, and/or the study of the mind. We see a complex, yet ordered universe and God’s hand sustaining it. Separating creation from the Creator, or visible from invisible realities is impossible.
Rhythm Restoration is about disconnecting from our preconceptions and letting the Holy Spirit speak to us. It is about accepting God’s wisdom and knowledge; then taking control of our thoughts to shift our focus from what hurts us, to Who can heal us.
With Jesus Christ at the center of our life, we can confront emotional hurt by using a combination of RHYTHM for soothing, BILATERAL STIMULATION for psychological digestion, and positive VISUALIZATION for the re-scripting of painful experiences to, in essence, rewire our minds to live abundantly!

Welcome back to another episode of Peace After Combat with your hosts, Dr Tiffany Tajiri and Dr Kristina Seymour.
In today's episode we're going to talk about phantom limb and chronic pain. There's a perfect divine order to things: the spirit, the soul and the flesh. All these factors come into play when we address Phantom limb, because we're looking at the mind versus the brain and how it impacts the entire body. We're also looking at the power of visualization and trauma on the body, the mind, the spirit and the soul.

Welcome back to another episode of Peace After Combat with your hosts, Dr Tiffany Tajiri and Dr Kristina Seymour. In today's episode, we are going to talk about the brain and how it can flip its lid, what we can do about it and even how when the brain flips its lid and the fight flight or freeze kicks in the havoc it can raise on the body and what we can do about it to reverse that to more healthy states.

Welcome to this episode of Peace After Combat with licensed clinical psychologists, Dr. Tiffany Tajiri and Dr Kristina Seymour. In our last discussion we talked about, where is God in the midst of suffering? And we said," God is love. Whoever lives in love, lives in God and God in them, that no weapon formed against us in the spiritual world would ever prosper and that the thief comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but God has come to give us an abundant life".
We learned that God is truly on our side is not the author of the bad things, but we ended that discussion talking about our path forward and that path forward being that we got to talk about trauma. We got to talk about those painful life experiences. And we now need to look at it from a psychological perspective. Last week we talked about it from a spiritual one because we have to believe first and foremost that we have a God who is on our side, who wants us to heal, who is not punishing us, who is for us and not against us. Tune in for more insights on PTSD triggers, effects of PTSD on your life, and where God is in all of it.

Welcome to this episode of Peace After Combat with licensed clinical psychologists, Dr. Tiffany Tajiri and Dr Kristina Seymour.
"Today, we're going to talk about where God is in the midst of our hurting. We know Jesus, wasn't immune to the suffering and pain of the world. No way are we! I always say that he carried the cross so that we can endure whatever comes our way. With that being said, the most common theme that I have heard sitting in front of my service members, whether I was active-duty air force at the time or now working with our soldiers in the army is, "Doc, where is God in war"?
We know that faith is the greatest protective factor when it comes to suicide prevention. And I can tell you firsthand that the most powerful healing that I've ever seen comes from faith".

Welcome to Peace After Combat with your hosts: clinical psychologists, Air Force Veterans, AUTHORS, and spouses to veterans, Dr Tiffany Tajiri and Dr. Kristina Seymour. Learn about the connection between faith, spirituality and psychology and how to find peace after painful LIFE experiences. Real Truths, through Real Talk about Real Life. Now here are your hosts, Dr. Tiffany Tajiri and Dr. Kristina Seymour.
In the first episode of Peace After Combat, Libby Bates over at Behind the Service sits down with Dr Tiffany to speak to her about her book, Peace After Combat, Healing the Spiritual & Psychological Wounds of War.
Dr. Tiffany Tajiri takes a hard look at the psychological trauma experienced by veterans and their loved ones and offers insight and hope for better lives.
It could be your neighbor, your coworker, your son, or the woman sitting next to you in church. When combat veterans return from war, they’re often confused. They struggle to reconnect with their families; the cheering crowds and smothering hugs make them want to jump out of their skin, and sometimes they even long to return to the hell of deployment.
What they’ve experienced in combat can radically change how they view themselves, others, and the world at large. They may have never seen so much hurt, suffering, death, and destruction, which leaves them questioning, “Where is God?”
