NFT TALK is for NFT fanatics trying to dive deeper into the world of non-fungible tokens. We take a look into NFT projects, news, and drops!
Remember just last year when we use to check OpenSea every day to which projects were mooning? That and going on Twitter to see what new crazy news, roadmaps, or any alpha was being shared for the next big gain.
Although those days are not entirely over, it might be fair to see that it is not as common in 2020 and 2021.
In this episode, we go back on OpenSea to explore cool new NFT projects based on art, brand plays, and popularity.
Most educational (college) textbooks are resold multiple times over because they are no longer used by students after a semester or two. In addition, textbooks are very expensive so buying second-grade editions are money savers.
When an NFT is resold in a marketplace like OpenSea, the creator of the project will receive a royalty of up to 10%. Pearson is looking into tapping into this areas to make additional profit by NFT-ing digital textbooks.
Bored Apes are being owned by all types of people and now sports organizations. Just recently, the MLS spent 100 ETH to buy a Bored Ape to feature in the MLS All-Star Game.
The MLS has named the Bored Ape as a striker and will be displayed somehow on the 10th of August.
This is why we need NFT ticketing for sports!
During the UEFA champions league final where Liverpool faced Real Madrid in Paris, there were claims of fraudulent tickets causing mass delays and bottlenecks at security checkpoints. And as a result, clashes between the fans and authorities sprung up.
The final has since put a spotlight on conventional ticketing issues with many pushing for blockchain-powered NFT ticketing as the solution.
Not only will this stamp down on fake tickets by use of blockchain tech aka smart contracts in this case, but will also open up more opportunities for fans to redeem benefits including airdrops, utilities, and exclusive access to NFT tickets holders.

VeeFriends has a huge task at hand in making it VeeFriend Series 1 and Series 2 holders happy for the next 45 years. We know that this project is going to be built to last and recognized globally. This is Gary Vaynerchuk's dream and destiny to see his NFT project grow into something monumental.
Like building a giant intellectual property like Marvel or DC, great things take time. A lot of marketing efforts, brand building, and collectibles, have to be done in order to engrain this brand into the minds of young people.
In order for that to happen, VeeFriends is going to have to spend big on top of its initial sales back in 2021 when VeeFriends Series 1 was sold out. The same goes for the Series 2 NFTs which are almost like an extension of Series 1.
With the undisclosed amount of seed fund given from A16Z crypto, Veefriends plans to "support building the future intellectual property of the 283 VeeFriends characters. The investment will be used to fuel expansion plans for its creative, technical, and experiential operations," according to the VeeFriends blog.

Barcelona has made its first NFT ever celebrating Johan Cruyff, which was sold for $693,000 at an auction at Sotheby’s.

Today we're going to break down 7 NFT scams that are always lurking in the social media, Discords, and NFT marketplaces trying to steal all your valuable assets. Nobody wants to check their crypto wallet to only see all their assets gone because of a costly mistake so let's dive into what those scams might be. With that, we will be more aware if any malicious activities happen.
The number one rule is to never ever give away your key or recovery phrase for your crypto wallet. Think of it as giving away your social security number. You do not want to do that!
Here are 7 NFT scams to avoid at all costs:
Businesses can find it hard to get more and more customers. Through marketing tactics, this is very plausible but all of that can be thrown out the window if they end up leaving. Nowadays, people are not super loyal to brands but only want things that benefit themselves which is understandable. So how can a business incentive customers keep buying from them?
Enter customer loyalty programs. These programs are business tactics used to reward those customers who are frequent buyers. As a result, customer retention is high as these customers continue to rack up points or benefits.
One of the most basic examples of this is Starbucks. If you download the Starbucks app and purchase a coffee from it then you will earn points. After a certain amount of points are accumulated, those points can be used to get a free cup of coffee or a pastry. At the end of the day who doesn't like free?
YOU CAN FIND OTHER EXAMPLES OF CUSTOMER LOYALTY PROGRAMS HERE
Is there a way to turn this loyalty program into something greater? A startup, Hang, is turning these loyalty programs into NFTs that can be resold on marketplaces. In other words, these loyalty programs that people are using for their favorite brands can be turned into assets.
From Hang's website, "customers can now own their membership and loyalty status - the more they interact with your brand, the more perks and benefits they accrue, the more desired their NFT becomes."Brands like Budweiser, Bleacher Report, Pinkberry, and more. Is this something that you think will benefit customers and businesses? Not to mention that businesses can earn a royalty each time a customer or owner sells the NFT.
Did you know that you can literally start generating unique pieces of art through the help of artificial intelligence? Reid Hoffman, tech billionaire and co-founder of LinkedIn, is using DALL-E artificial intelligence software to create NFTs. This is how it works in a nutshell.
You write a written prompt such as cookie monster eating bananas and in a matter of minutes, unique pieces of art will be outputted. Through these pieces of art, Reid Hoffman is making his NFT project called Untranslatable Words, which will span 11 pieces of tokenized images originally created via DALL-E 2.
Right now you currently have to be granted access to DALL-E as they are enrolling 1 million people on the waitlist. However, you don't have to wait as there are alternatives such as craiyon.com.
Craiyon is directly related to DALL-E. See where your creativity takes you with your written prompts. The applications are limitless!
Minecraft is the most popular game ever with nearly 240 million copies sold since its release in 2011. A blog post on the Minecraft website declared that, in order to maintain its egalitarian goals for the game, it was banning the sale of NFTs, from the servers it owns or controls.
This is a very interesting debate whether or not developers or gaming studios should allow NFT capabilities for the betterment of the game. There are arguments for both sides especially if the world's biggest game thinks that it will go against its vision.
The video game company Epic Games thinks otherwise as the founder and CEO, Tim Sweeney, said he won't follow that action.
Continuing from the previous episode, we finish detailing the extra utilities for Series 2 holders owning a Competitive Clown or those holding pickleball backgrounds.
For the second time, these NFT holders will have VIP access to Major League Pickleball Newport Beach held from August 5th through August 7th at The Tennis Club in Newport Beach, CA. Apart from this unique experience you also get some merch.
If you're into collecting cards and/or memorabilia then this event might be for you! Especially if you'd like to meet Gary Vee. From July 27-29, at "The National" Sports Collectors Convention in Atlantic City, NJ.
According to the VeeFriends blog, "Gary will have two vendor booths numbered 1060 and 961! You will be able to buy or trade for some sports and VeeFriends cards from Gary’s personal collection."So far 2 two sets of zerocool x VeeFriends cards came out and an Uno set. These packs and individual cards alone have been sold for some crazy prices on eBay!
VeeFriends is surprising us with another cool utility for the Mint Mink holders. Whether you own a Series 1 or Series 2 VeeFriend, unique opportunities will come about for that specific NFT character.
According to the VeeFriends blog, all Mint Mink holders will now be eligible for airdrops, free mints, and allow lists from new and emerging NFT projects or companies.
These opportunities include:
Main Story:The Simpsons animator Erick Tran and his team at Chavvo studios, an animation studio and NFT creator, have tagged up. The grand plan is to make a Hollywood cartoon series based around 1,923 NFTs inspired by Hollywood characters and personalities (secretly hoping Rick from Casablanca is there).
Together they've worked with the biggest brands in the world such as The Simpsons, The Avengers, Sony, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and many more.
Second Story:Going back to the GameStop NFT marketplace story, it is been indicated that they've already surpassed Coinbase's NFT sales in almost a single day. GameStop made $2.7 million on launch day whereas Coinbase $2.8 million since its launch on May 4th.
There are many NFT marketplaces coming out. Just recently GameStop and Coinbase (still in beta) have stepped into the scene. To our surprise, LimeWire has made a comeback to get back into the business (legally this time) by becoming an NFT marketplace with a focus on music,
Take a look at LimeWire's ad featuring Soulja Boy's throwback song Crank ThatLimeWire's marketplacewill allow its users to buy and own original music produced by artists. Users will also have access to event tickets, and album cover art amongst other things.
Main Headline: Kevin Hart has created a new NFT project, Confessions From The Hart, that includes 10,000 NFTs of his alter-ego. The current floor price as of July 16, 2022 on OpenSea is 0.03ETH (~$41). Many athletes and celebrities have experimented with NFTs with little to no attraction but that can change at any moment with its smart contract on the backend. Who knows but maybe with this NFT collectible, one may have lifetime access to Kevin Hart's shows, movies, events, and more!
Sub Headline: Speaking about celebrities getting into NFTs, Bill Murray has launched his own collection which will be featured on Coinbase. There are many NFT marketplaces such as GameStop, Coinbase, Rarible, Super Rare, OpenSea, and many more. In order to attract more traffic to Coinbase's NFT marketplace, the Bill Murray NFT project can help.
Sub Headline: The NFT market is projected to hit $231B by 2031 according to Verified Market Research (VMR). Industries that will help this growth are the gaming, music, film, and sporting industries.

VeeFriends is coming out with more collectibles and merch such as the Flex'n Fox Gold Figurine. This 8" 2lb collectible has a limited supply of 500 units but if you're a Series 1 holder you will get either a free figurine or early access!
Who remembers the Empathy Elephant wine? This time VeeFriends is going to come out with another set featuring "To The Moon Meekat Muscat". Depending on your purchase, you'll be able to get a T-shirt and/or a white tank top.
For the Flex'n Fox Figurine, Gary Vee himself will be in LA to attend the Coolkicks x VeeFriends event where you can go and potentially get yourself this awesome collectible or just kick it with Gary.
Main Headline: If you are a Millennial and grew up watching Nickelodeon then you must know about both Rugrats and Hey Arnold! Not that these NFTs are game-changers or provide the craziest utilities but from a collectors standpoint it is monumental. Recur is a Web3 company making NFTs for the biggest brands such as Star Trek, Paramount, Nickelodeon, Care Bears, and many more.
Sub Headline: OpenSea has laid off about 20% of its workforce. Because of the lower demands for NFTs and cryptocurrencies admist the poor economy, the company is not driving as much revenue. One of the primary factors of revenue comes from its 2.5% commission from NFTs sold on the OpenSea site.
Sub Headline:Let's talk about how TIME has thrived for the past 99 years. Recently it has adopted NFTs that allow people to both collect them, get unlimited access to TIME content, and access to both virtual and in-person events.
GameStop has launched an NFT marketplace and according to sources has only made $44,500 from their 2.5% commission. Is this acceptable for a company like GameStop or is this a clear indicator that they should steer away from Web3?
Stranger Things just got better after Netflix and Candy Digital teamed up to create a Stranger Things NFT collection comprising 11,111 NFTs around the characters Eleven, Dustin, and Max.
Revuto announced that it will grant lifetime access to Netflix and Spotify to its 10,000 NFT owners. NFTs are not just about art bought about giving utilities to its owners and digital ownership.
The VeeFriends Series 1 Access NFTs are something very special. Getting 5-minute FaceTime calls with Gary Vee or getting on a Q&A with him via Hangout Hawk are some great to own.
Let's take a look at the top NFTs in the past 7 days on OpenSea. Cryptopunks and BAYC will always be in the top 10 list. Doodles are making waves with increases in total volume with its success in NFT.NYC. It has also made announcements of naming Pharrell Williams as Chief Brand Officer of the brand, partnership with Shopify, and release of Doodles 2. Sheesh!
Note: time of recording is June 24th at 7pm PSTAfter looking at other NFT projects on OpenSea to observe which ones look cool, we came across Sneaker Heads. The art pieces are 3D renderings of heads that are made of sneakers, hence Sneaker Heads, and it looks dope. One of the things that's most exciting is the potential of creating a stronger community with big brands and airdropping NFTs that come with limited-edition sneakers by the likes of Nike, Adidas, and others (just speculation).
The sneaker community is massive and integrating that with Web3 can be a perfect blend for better serving the community base. Let's see what happens!
Who would have thought that the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) project was going to have two rap giants, Snoop Dogg and Eminem, make such an iconic music video around it? This really is a blue-chip NFT project based on the people backing it, the developers, utility, and brand equity.
Click here to watch the music video From the D 2 The LBCTwo former Playstation veterans made their own studio where they plan to execute an NFT game on the PC called AshFall. The game will run on the Hadera network while utilizing its cryptocurrency HBAR.
Out of the four major league sports in the USA (NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL), the NHL has the lowest amount of revenue at $5.1B. In order to make the fans have a better experience, engage in the league, and obtain more revenue, getting into Web3 can be a big business opportunity to turn that figure around.
The NHL is planning to create its own NFT collections and experiences through the partnership with Sweet.
China's WeChat to ban crypto and NFT-related accounts. This is a big deal considering the fact that WeChat is essentially the "everything app" so if one were to get banned then that would impact daily living.
FUN FACT: WeChat has 1.1 billion daily active users.
Ebay acquired the NFT marketplace KnownOrigin for an undisclosed amount. KnownOrigin is currently the 12th highest trading NFT marketplace for ETH backed NFTs
Cristiano Ronaldo has partnered up with Binance in a multi-year deal. He is set to release a historic NFT collection with the $90 billion crpyto and NFT marketplace.
Doodles is a roll with the amount of announcements it has made lately:
In other news, Gucci Invests $25K in DAO of NFT Marketplace SuperRare. Lots of luxury brands and retailers are getting on that Web3 flow, This isn't Gucci's first rodeo either as they have already released NFTs before.
This 18-year-old entrepreneur started IsmToys which makes BAYC toys and cleared $700k. People love collectibles either it's digital assets or physical goods.
VeeFriends is really out here collaborating with the coolest and biggest brands across different industries!

Look like Bill Gates is not a fan of crypto and NFTs as he is more accustomed to asset classes like farms and companies.
Takashi Murakami has apologized on Twitter to his crypto holders amidst the crash but it really is not his fault. Nobody has control of the market.
There has already been utility in real estate when it comes to NFT. Sound cool until the price of your listing drops from $29M to $16.8M due to the 40% drop in ETH. Chris Okaka, who listed this building, plans to relist it due to this drop.
The Clay Paper V3 is finally out and is more like a live document as there are more updates to be made. Nevertheless, there are some really cool and interesting things discussed in this paper such as:
In other news, Snoop Dogg released his Death Row Summer 2022 album where he gives a shout-out to Clay Nation.
Did you know that VeeFriends is also going to have cool experiences in NYC during NFT week? Experiences include:
More and more music artists are using the metaverse to release music. Jim Jones and Migos have presented a Decentraland music video of their hit song.
Axie Infinity has been arguably the biggest and most revolutionizing Play-To-Earn (P2E) game. The price of AXIS went up dramatically but has crashed down alongside the number of daily active users. A lot of people were trying to make this game their full-time income but that is looking slow for now.
Seth Green paid a $260,000 ransom to get his Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT back. Everyone's apes are being taken left and right nowadays.
According to Finder.com's survey, these are the countries that participated the most in P2E games:
What is P2E gaming?
Play to Earn (P2E) games are games in which users are paid in the form of cryptocurrencies and NFTs. More tokens in the game can be collected as challenges are completed, fighting battles, and breeding creatures. Assets in games can also be sold in marketplaces.
Kanye West (aka Yeezus) has a super creative mind and business acumen. Excited to see where the trademarks will go and how his vision is played out.
Short episode sharing what Clay Nation has come up with, with their $Clay Token. It will be the official utility token!
In other news, on June 14th, there will be another Clay Paper going over the token. Stay tuned for the next week's episode on that.
A lot has been going on in the VeeFriends world, especially during VeeCon. You might be asking yourself when the next big piece of news is going to come? We need to remember that this is a 45-year project in the making and we cannot expect major alpha every day.
That being said, there are still a lot of things to look forward to and a lot of topics to discuss!

Welcome to the first segment of the NFT Talk show briefing we quickly go over the following stories:
Snoop Dogg really has been involved in the NFT community and he is at it again. In Los Angeles, Snoop Dogg is going to help launch a Bored Ape NFT-themed dessert restaurant.
If you're into e-commerce or looking for ways to obtain more customers or revenue avenues then NFTs can be a possible way. Many clothing brands are getting into NFTs and in this case, Prada is releasing its own that comes with merch!
Lots of cool NFT marketplaces and startups are popping up but makes one better than the other. Ayoken is a startup that will feature digital collectibles from musicians, sports brands, and influencers from all over the world.
One of their unique selling propositions is that they offer all the marketing services in order to make an NFT drop or campaign maximize its potential.
Let's explore the top NFTs on Opencnft (like the OpenSea of Cardano-based NFT projects) and alpha news on Clay Nation.
Yay! There's hope for NFTs during this crazy bear market. Goblintown is an NFT project consisting of 9,999 goblins where apparently there is no roadmap, no discord, and no utility. But, hey, at least you could have minted this for free plus gas fees.
As of this recording, the floor price is 2.45ETH and the total volume traded in ETH is 13.1k.
Additional Sources:
Sports teams and leagues need to stay relevant by building brand, bringing in awesome talent, and interacting with the fans. One of the newest plans to do all this is by creating a new NFT game called NFL Rivals.
Moving on with sports, music has a lot of potential with NFTs. Pharrell Williams is a massive persona in the music industry and will look to push the envelope with his new NFT platform GODA.
Raise your hands if you have a VeeFriends Series 2 character? There weren't many utility or surprise perks other than the free trading cards you could have gotten during the initial mint until now (kind of).
If you own the Competitive Clown VF2 or the pickleball court background within the VF2 collection then you will get exclusive access to the first Major League Pickleball event in Texas!
Things overall are not looking good for NFTs, especially for the smaller projects. The bluechip NFTs are still holding amid the drop in floor prices and of course the drop in ETH.
Sources:
NFTs are not just about art but about real utility. One example of real-world utility is having exclusive access to watching Floyd Mayweather fight against Don Moore in an exhibition match.
Do you know who Beeple is? If you've been in the NFT game for a better part of a year then you must have heard that this NFT artist sold his work for $69M! Unfortunately, his Twitter account was hacked and a phishing scam was implemented where people lost over $72k in Ethereum.
Still feeling optimistic about the NFTs depending on which ones you have in your wallet. I'm happy that I have VF2 because I believe in VeeFriends and its founder.
My name is Andres and check out my wallet here!
Robinhood has plans to let people explore more crypto investment opportunities with NFTs, yield farming, staking, and lending. This is a major move and exciting as this will push crypto more into the mainstream.
More celebrities and athletes are getting into NFTs as Dwayne Wade enters the picture. Dwayne Wade is a former NBA player and 3-time champion with the Miami Heat who also has a talent in the business realm.
Emirates Airline hopes to use blockchain technology in tracing aircraft records. This is a great utility and not just another art collection.
There is another final step that you have to make prior to getting into VEECON (besides owning a VEECON ticket of course). There is a VEECON app on iOS and Android where you must register prior to the experience.

If you're into business or already have a business then marketing is super essential, right? It might get difficult over time when platforms get too saturated or the cost-per-impressions get too high. However, when marketing on a new platform that is relatively new or new altogether can prove a lot.
The only real risk of advertising on a new platform is a loss of time and some money. But if you win you will win big due to the fact that you'll have that first mover's advantage. Right now there are less than 500,000 monthly active users on metaverses such as Decentraland and The Sandbox. That's pretty darn low.
Don't feel pessimistic about that because that number can certainly grow as more users come and more metaverse projects like Meta (aka Facebook) are going in on it. Yes, we might be too early in the game to even be talking about this but it's important to keep an eye on it at least.
Note: you can read the article from where I got this information here
NFT news of today
The Source of information can be found in the CoinTelegraph article
NFTs are not just about art. There are many applications that can be used with blockchain technology and smart contracts.
In 2017, Ice Cube launched BIG3 league. Teams aren’t tied to cities, and games are 3-on-3, not 5-on-5 (source). Even though this is a new league there is serious talent with former NBA players such as Nate Robinson, Joe Johnson, and Nick Young.
The reason why you and I can now invest in these teams is that Ice Cube announced that he was using Ethereum to fractionalize ownership of the league’s franchises. The NFTs comes in two editions. GOLD and FIRE. Mints for these NFTs were on May 8th so you can only get these in the secondary marketplace such as OpenSea.
Notable investors in the BIG3 league include Snoop Dogg, Gary Vee, Kevin Rose, and other big-time entrepreneurs!
I know yet another celebrity NFT project, right? Well, this one by Logan Paul is something that is very authentic and something that can be meaningful for hardcore fans.
That's because there isn't a 10,000 PFP or anything like that. In Logan Paul's 99 Originals, he used his polaroid camera to capture the wildest, most entertaining, curious, and eye-opening pictures for his collection.
There will be utilities and a DAO for 99 members so this is something very exclusive. I think that with NFTs that come from influencers and celebrities, it is important to like and trust the person. Why make a chunky investment on a project that is being run by someone you may not trust or dislike? One of the NFTs from the Originals collection already got sold for over 13 ETH!
Let's dive into this project but before we do please watch Logan Paul's trailer on this project so you can get a better insight.
Have you seen the teaser trailer for the BAYC metaverse? If you haven't take a look at that first before you listen to this podcast episode!
View the Otherside trailerThe Otherside metaverse is like The Sandbox or Decentraland where you can buy plots of land. Now, these could have been minted but if you didn't get that opportunity then the only way to get them now is through the secondary market such as OpenSea.
In the Otherside metaverse some plots of land are actually more valuable than others due to the resources, maybe the location, and most certainly if they include special characters such as the Kodas.
These Kodas are like deities and are still a little mysterious as we don't have the whole story behind them but we do have some alpha on them (leaked segment of pitch deck shown here).
A plot of land with a Koda on it was sold for as high as 333ETH!
Twitter at the start of 2022 allowed users to have their NFTs as profile pictures. The profile pictures that were verifiable were given a hexagonal shape which basically indicated that the NFT that the owner used for their PFP was legit. The only real caveat to that was that one had to pay for a $2.99 Twitter Blue subscription and are using an iOS device.
Read this article by The Verge breaking down the Twitter NFT featureNow, Meta's Instagram is getting into the mix by doing the same thing Twitter with the addition of:
Even though NFTs are just getting started there is still young history. Before your gigantic projects like BAYC, CryptoPunks, and even the grand marketplace OpenSea there already existed NFTs such as Coloured Coins, meme NFTs, and more.
Take a look at this NFT timelineOlder NFTs are looked at as relics and quite expensive. The more OG or old the NFT project the more perceived value it holds. If that's the case then why are Bored Apes so darn expensive? Is it really an OG project?
Let's explore!
VeeFriends Series 2 is all about building the necessary IP and building up the brand. Series 1's art and format were inadequate due to the artwork (but it is still the best set of NFTs to own within the VeeFriends umbrella).
The way Gary Vee is planning to build the brand is by doing many brand partnerships, content, merch, toys, and collectibles. With Series 2 initial mint, you were able to get a free set of the collectible trading card game. The plan is to have these sent out sometime in May/June and they're already being sold for $349 on eBay!
Read the VeeFriends Roundup in the blogHow to play the trading game featuring VF2 art
Everybody was FOMOing into NFTs last year but ever since last September (at the height of NFT sales) the market has gone down 92%. Does that mean that NFTs are officially done? I don't think so. This just means that there was too much supply, many bad projects, and the blue-chip NFTs are going to take a bigger lead.
When NFTs became a thing it was and still is all about building intellectual property and building brands. There will be more real-world uses besides trying to build the new DC Universe such as using NFTs to make real-world transactions (think of real estate or certificates).
NFTs are going down yes but the overarching technology will still play a major role in our lives.
In other news, Coinbase has launched its beta NFT marketplace for everyone. Go check it out and make a profile. It's like OpenSea having a kid with Instagram as there is a social aspect to it.
You can see what the Clayverse looks like and all the key points such as hubs, stations, tents, and the After Dark Disco to name a few things. The whole world is split into 3 sections:
Depending on which NFTs you owned you could have minted from a specific plot of land. For example, if you had a Clay Nation then you would have had the opportunity to mint a Sonic World Village plot of land.
Right now you cannot mint the plot of land as that phase was over. The only way to acquire the land is to buy them off a marketplace such as the JPEG Store.
Imagine creating a piece of physical artwork or any physical good and earning a commission by using NFT technology? That is something that Americana is trying to do. If this conception materializes at a wide scale then the creator economy is really going to boom. Things will really get interesting.
Looks like every large company wants to be in the metaverse in some shape or form. We've already seen Nike and Sephora get involved in the Roblox metaverse. Atari, Gucci, and Adidas are all part of the Sandbox metaverse too. And guess what? Gatorade has filed a trademark to enter the metaverse. Maybe one day when your avatar is playing a game in someone's plot of land, you can pay a certain amount of tokens to get a boost with that refreshing taste of Gatorade. This will grow the company's brand vision while earning sales through this "boost" example.
Here are the top NFTs on OpenSea based on the 7-day volume. Side note, we are seeing a boost for Doodles (in terms of floor price) and a drop in the metaverse plots of land Otherdeed for Otherside.
As you may recall, Nike has acquired RTFT, which is a brand that is creating the next generation of collectibles that merges culture and gaming.
RTFT already has an impressive NFT portfolio with the likes of:
The project we're talking about today is the RTFT x Nike Dunk Genesis CRYPTOKICKS. The floor price at the time of this recording was around 1.6ETH. From this same collection, some of the sneakers were sold for over $100,000.
You can take a look at the highest sale prices on OpenSea here.
Have you watched the trailer of the BAYC/MAYC metaverse called the Otherside? At the time of the trailer, there were a lot more questions than answers but now we have more details!
The Otherside is a gamified, interoperable metaverse currently under development by Yuga Labs. There is a massive opportunity here for people who own BAYC/MAYC or even Ape Coin. For developers or people who are very ambitious when it comes to technology and web3, you should also be excited because you get to develop in this metaverse that includes incentives.
It's not just about the incentives but the fact that one gets the chance to influence the trajectory of this grand IP through this metaverse project via the SDK (Software Development Kit) that the team will provide.
In terms of the floor price, there are already so astronomical sales going on via OpenSea. The highest sale thus far has been 300ETH and 200ETH as some plots of land are much rarer than others.
Both BAYC and MAYC got free plots of land, some of the allocations of the land will be for Yugalabs, developers, and 55% will on sale through ApeCoin.
A lot of action going with VF2 has the floor price going down. The total trade volume however is over 20,000 ETH and that's possibly due to the fact of these low more affordable prices.
Gary Vee has indicated that there is no roadmap and no utility off the bat but he never said never. The point of the VF2 collectibles is to build IP and give more opportunities to the soaring demand (because VF1 is too expensive).
This VeeFriends Series 2 was sold for 42 ETH and Emerald Auction NFTs have been going off!
A hacker was able to hack into the BAYC's official Instagram account and "duped users into believing that if they clicked the link, they would be able to mint a new feature for their NFTs. Instead, it allowed the hacker to access and steal their Ethereum assets."
Note: This information is from Artnet News
Nobody is 100% safe in this NFT market as hackers are lurking to steal your assets. The cardinal rule is to never share your seed phrase. Right now this space is unregulated and hundreds of millions of dollars (even billions) are being stolen (both NFTs and crypto).
So again...please be careful and mindful of your assets.
VeeFriends Series 2 is lit with the characters being revealed. The next stop is now burning Book Game Tokens to get the new characters!
The record labels are going to be obsolete with artists getting 100% of the value of their music and redistributing that to their true fans in the form of NFTs.
This would mean that the holders of the NFT of that particular musician would own the album, for example, get revenue from the streams, and possibly get more utilities that come with the NFT itself!
Note: Here's 3LAU explaining how NFTs can transform the music industry
Instead of the regular public mint where the NFTs are sold out in seconds and money is lost, The VeeFriends team is making an executive decision. To prepare for high demand for VeeFriends Series 2 (meaning that it will be sold out in less than a minute) and high gas fees, there will be a raffle instead.
If you enter and win the raffle, you'll get a 24-hour window to mint a single VeeFriends Series 2. In order for you to participate, you need to do or have the following:
In order to find that link you can either find it:
The NFT project EightBit Me is starting to go off. The mint dates were on March 30th and the 31st for 0.05 and the floor price is hovering around 0.85ETH at the time of the recording (4/23/22).
This project claims to be an "OG project" as back in 2010, EightBit Me launched the original 8-bit avatar creator, an app that lets you make a virtual 8-bit version of yourself.
Check out EightBit Me video here. My gut feeling is telling me that this project is going to behave somewhat similar to CryptoSkulls which was another older project that did not receive the love and attention like CrpytoPunks but it did many many months after.
People are always on the hunt for OG NFT projects and find value in them. The short story of CryptoSkulls was that the floor price went from 0.2 ETH to 5 ETH in a matter of days to eventually dwindle down to the current floor price of 0.5ETH. Was the hype of projects that are older real? Is it just a fad or is there actual value we can obtain from having them in our collection?
Did you know that almost 30,000 people joined forces to buy an NFT worth $91.8M making it the most valuable NFT ever? Or did you know that 23% of millennials in US collect NFTs?
These NFT stats are crazy!
Better late than never right? Coinbase finally launches its own NFT marketplace but it is still in beta. As of this moment, only the nig NFT projects have made the sellers list. There is a waiting list so if you run a noticeable or popular NFT project then you'll have a good chance!
In this podcast episode, we also explore how NFTs are a sign of new IP building with the examples of Boss Beauties raising $4M in capital and Deadfellaz partnering up with United Talent Agency
I think one should only buy an NFT if you genuinely like the art and want to keep a collectible, believe in the founder, or the utility is a massive push for the value of the overall project amongst other things. When people talk about, "it's all about the community," I think that's a little BS because I think 95%-98% of the people are looking for a quick flip.
There's nothing wrong with a quick flip (heck I've been part of that crew as well) but it's nice to be more authentic about it. Nevertheless, here are the NFTs that I think were cool in terms of the art, founder/team, and utility on OpenSea:
VeeFriends Series 2 is now being minted pretty smoothly now. There were a couple of delays due to technical difficulties but it looks like Gary Vee and the team are back on track! Remember, if you are on the Friends List, you still have ample time to mint your VF2, there is no rush.
The public mint went crazy for the plots of land that Clay Nation has set out for its metaverse project. If you haven't gotten around to what the Clayverse is, I highly encourage you to read it here.
The mint prices for the plots of land were:
As of now, the floor price is sitting at 370 ADA (that's for the Underworld Pitch). In other news, Clay Nation has finally hit 50k followers on Twitter! Still surprised how they are still not verified.
These auctions for the NFT collections are going to drop soon but it's such an interesting dynamic how these auctions are being held through DraftKings!
Check out the stories from which we shared this information on the podcast:
Here are the links from where we got the sources to the stories:
VeeFriends 2 is out on OpenSea for anyone who did not get the opportunity to mint one (note: you had to be on the Friends List in order to have the opportunity to mint). There have been technical difficulties and a lot of people have been frustrated or upset but we ought to be patient especially if you believe in Gary Vee.
Note: read the latest VeeFriends blog on the free collectible card game around VF2Gary Vee has told his Discord community to zig when everyone is zagging. In other words, walk left and everyone is walking on the right. This makes sense because as everyone is of course (and rightly so) focusing on VeeFriends Series 2, there are massive buying opportunities on:
With OpenSea and LookRare charging 2% in fees (does not include any royalties to the project creators) Meta is looking to charge nearly 50%. This is a crazy amount that has a lot of people questioning and becoming upset.
Here are the stories from where the stories were taken in this episode of NFT Talk:
Let's dive into why Azuki is so popular!

Looks like everything is going to be NFT'ed in the near future including marriage certificates. This is something that will be possible by the end of April in Decentrland. However, this is not a legal certificate in any sort of way (at least at the moment).
The fashion industry's worth is shy of half a trillion dollars. It can certainly be the full trillion as more revenue streams come into play with the advent of NFTs and AR fashion. For both VR and AR, this can happen with the purchases of clothing in the form of NFTs. In AR specifically, one can take a selfie (using an AR feature) and you'll see yourself wearing a brand's clothing line.
Influencers can make this a field day with potential airdrops of clothes to "wear" and advertise online. As result, they will be participating in the "wear to earn" economy. The possibilities are endless with NFT and the fashion industry.
Note: to get more details on these ideas I highly encourage you to read this article on NFTs and AR fashion.
Jim Carrey somewhat announced his retirement as an actor but as an artist, he will continue to devote time to it. Like any ambitious and curious artist, Jim Carrey created his own artwork as an NFT collection called the Magic Hour. The release of it is yet to be determined.
In this episode, we go over three stories. We talked about how Solana has surpassed $1.6B in NFT sales, how Tom Brady is creating his own NFT platform called Autograph, and is Starbucks really planning to draw their own NFT.
Starbucks has a massive brand in the United States but also globally. It is one of the most important brands in the US and with its ideas of creating an NFT project it can really expand into different realms.
Check out the articles we got the sources from:
The floor price once the VeeCon tickets were airdropped to VF1 holders( and the folks who acquired them by burning them but that was a GOO) was around 2 ETH. After a period of a couple of weeks, the floor price went down to 1.6-1.8 ETH. Right now (4/9/2022) the floor price is 1.11 ETH.
I personally thought that the art piece was going to be made from Doodles or Yuga Labs but it was instead made by Snowfro, the founder of Art Blocks. Nevertheless, is this a loss (maybe in the super short-term), but in the long-term, this can be a major play!
To read the article on the VeeCon NFT art reveal, read the VeeFriends blog.
Here are two NFT success stories that can help you as a young artist to push the boundaries and make a name for yourself:
Clay Nation is getting real out here. If you are a holder, fan, or just flipping then check out the Clay Nation paper that was just released!
The alpha on how to get the new VeeFriends Series 2 characters has been revealed. That alpha a while back on having 5 matching frames was real!
Who is going to be the artist behind this VeeCon ticket? And remember the artist reveal can be today, tomorrow, or next week! Gary Vee has been hinting for all of us in his community to essentially buy one if we can afford it. The artwork must be something else if he has been hyping it up for this long now.

VeVe has provided an update on their payout feature for converting gems into a fiat currency (i.e. USD). A lot of people in the Twitter Spaces have been quite disappointed with this feature taking so long.
VeVe blog post on the beta Pay Feature for converting gems to fiat
Now, this feature is only in the beta version and limited to 47 countries so there is still a lot of work to be done. Progress is progress and a lot of people are waiting for this feature to come into maturity. The flow of gems to fiat will make the VeVe NFT marketplace a lot more attractive and bullish.
Nevertheless, VeVe to me is still an awesome project. They've also released a Daredevil collectible and a new set of Disney Golden Moments NFTs!
GameStop is a company routed into gaming culture and with its struggle to keep afloat, it has pivoted to web 3 by partnering up with ImmutableX.
ImmutableX is a Layer-2 scalability protocol for NFTs on Ethereum. This means it enables transactions at a much faster rate compared to Ethereum, requires low computing power, and has a lower environmental impact (source: Reuters).
NFTs are here to stay not just for the art but for the utility it can add. Yes, it can be collected and traded as an art piece but it becomes a different story with the smart contract attached to it.
There is so much NFT news going on on Twitter and it's so much fun seeing what is being bought and sold in the marketplace. One of the best accounts to get real-time action on craxy NFT sales is from @nftwhalealert. Cool stuff!
Bored Ape Yacht club has a massive NFT project that has generated $1.5 billion in all-time sales. It's arguably the biggest NFT blockchain with tremendous growth opportunities. A new DAO has been made off the back of BAYC, called ApeCoin currently trading at $11.82 on CoinBase.
If you don't know what a DAO is here it is for you:
A DAO is a way of organizing people and their interests on the internet using the blockchain. The blockchain is a public ledger system that exists only on the internet (source: Fast Company).
The BAYC/MAYC owners were airdropped ApeCoins which represents 15% of the total APECOIN distribution. Another 47% is issued to the public.
The price of these VeeFriends x Zerocool boxes and cards on eBay is going crazy. The clearing price or "mint" was $2,150 and now these boxes are being sold for over $10,000!
The crazy thing is that a lot of these cards are actually paying for the initial cost of the clearing price. I mean, take a look at this Diamond card on eBay.
Guess which two NFT projects got the most volume traded in the last 7-days?
Hint: these two project's IP was acquired by Yuga Labs
If you grew up watching Pixar movies like The Incredibles, Cars, Up!, or Monster Inc then you've got to check out these Pixar VeVe NFTs. Nothing beats nostalgia and for us NFT fans that grew up with these characters, there's nothing that makes you smile quite like this!
We've got news for ya! I was on the most recent Clay Nation Twitter spaces and I overheard some cool and exciting stuff:
Besides that alpha from the Twitter spaces, Clay Nation with the help of the community and team was able to donate 6,405 ADA to CARE's emergency Ukraine appeal. It's awesome to see how through community and tech the world can become a better place :)
The latest floor prices for the project ecosystems are at:
Welcome to the NFT news segment where the biggest NFT news will be uncovered. Yes, the NFT space moves really fast so these updates will give you everything major you need to know.
The sources from which I got my information can be found here:
The floor price of Meebits has gone up significantly as the total volume in the past 7-days increased by over 1500% on OpenSea.
There really is a lot of ALPHA coming in this week. So much to cover such as:
Who remembers the UNO x VeeFriends UNO drop back in December 2021? Now in March of 2022, there is a new card collection coming. That is the VeeFriends x zerocool drop!
There is a 2-day action that ends on March 10th. Only 800 trading card boxes will be released to the public and the other 200 for circulation and promotional purposes. Each box is of high quality with only one deck with a set of 10 cards of different rarities. If you're lucky to get one of these in the first place, via the blind Dutch auction, you will have the chance to get one of the Gary Vee hand-drawn cards.
Today is going to be a big day in terms of this drop and of course the VeeCon ticket NFTs. There has been alpha about the 5 wooden frames that you can use to potentially burn to obtain a VeeCon ticket. More details coming soon!
Here are must-reads from the VeeFriends blog:
The latest updates of Clay Nation are here. The Twitter spaces of the ClayMA provided tons of information back on the 21st of February. The highlights are shared below:
The current floor price according to the JPEG marketplace at the time of this recording (March 6, 2022 11:30ish PST) is 1400 ADA!
In this episode, we also went over the overall Cardano-based NFTs and it's crazy but Pavia has officially flipped SpaceBudz and Clay Nation. Pavia has a total trade volume of 25M ADA compared to the 24M that SpaceBudz has so so far.
If there's ever a time to pay attention to the VeeFriends project ecosystem (including VF2 and Book Games) it is now!
There was so much ALPHA that was shared last weekend via Twitter spaces and Discord.
Here are the news highlights:
This week and the upcoming weeks are going to be massive. Good luck to all of those who are participating in all of this!
In this new experiential episode of NFT Talk, we go over the NFT stats on:

It's another week of the VeeFriends Weekly Update where we talk about VF1, VF2, and Book Games. There has been some major alpha on VF2 which is expected to launch in April 2022. If you're trying to get one of the 15 new VF2 characters then listen up!
In order to get one of the new characters we need to burn a certain combination of Book Game Tokens, As of this moment, that information is not available yet but there are hints floating around in the VeeFriends Discord.
For example, there is was one alpha post on Discord where Gary Vee said, "5 of the same frames matter." This most likely implies that a certain set of 5 frames (i.e. Golden frame, Wood, Neon, etc) will grant you access to one of the new characters if you decided to burn them. Again, we do not know which frames they're but I guess you can start collecting them all in sets of 5!
A lot of the highlighted Discord alpha can be seen here from the VeeFriends blog. To get more information about the 15 new characters, VF2, and how to get one then there is a sweet Twitter thread from VeeFriends here.
It's time to prepare!
Today we will briefly go over these 3 NFT projects that are trending on OpenSea:
1. The Doggies (Snoop Dogg)
2. Invisible Friends
3. Wrapped Ether Rock
Snoop Dogg is such an iconic figure in today's world. He is in every corner and has been doing amazing things as a businessman apart from his music. His influence and hype on NFTs are real and he has finally made his own NFT project.
Not too many celebrities can probably pull something off as big as this as he has collaborated with the Sandbox. Owning one of these NFTs grants you access to Snoop Dogg's world in The Sandbox.
Invisible Friends has been such a joy to watch from afar in how they've executed their launch. Their branding and content strategy leading up to the mint, which was on the 23rd of February, was so long waited. The final reveal to the collection was on the 27th so there was even more hyped built up.
I think creating a foundation with a major focus on community and brand presence months ahead of time before a mint is vital for the success of a project both short-term and long-term. For Invisible Friends, the mint went for 0.25 ETH and before the reveal, the floor price on OpenSea was at 10 ETH. It has dropped to around 5-6 ETH. Invisible Friends has set itself up for long-term success for being patient in its launch!
Now Wrapped Ether Rock is an NFT project that was launched back in 2017 (the same year as CryptoPunks. There are on 9 of them and on February 28, 2022, a Wrapped Ether Rock was sold for 289 ETH ($838,926)!! That's some serious volume.
To take a look back at a timeline for the oldest NFT projects, we can see that Wrapped Ether Rock was one of the first. Nowadays, there is a new project every single day.
Welcome to the first segment of rapid NFT news where we explore the following stories:
The only way to get one of the new VF2 characters would be to burn certain Book Game tokens. What are those book game tokens to be exact? Well, welcome aboard because nobody knows yet but there are clues.
Sticking your head into the Discord chat will be the perfect way to find out. There can be a lot of noise but here's so alpha for you to save a bunch of time. If you want to get the rapid alpha from Gary Vee directly on Discord without having to scroll in the sea of messages you can do the following:
Go to the channels of the VeeFriends Discord and click on the #garyvee-msg-tracker to see all of his messages. This will make your life much easier.
In this series of the VeeFriends weekly update, I review the VeeFriends blog, Discord alpha, floor prices, and all news around VF1/VF2/Book Games. Enjoy!
As always please be very careful with all the scams going on. People have been getting their information compromised and as a result, losing thousands of dollars worth of NFTs. Sometimes even worth millions!
Even though one can be in the center of an attack by a malicious hacker you can still be relatively safe if you do not click on any suspicious links. However, even with these cautions, OpenSea users are claiming that they still had their NFTs stolen.
People's BAYC and MAYC have been compromised last weekend and users are very upset with OpenSea.
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index is at a 20/100 with 100 indicating extreme greed. If there was ever a time to buy that one NFT you always wanted then buying some crypto can potentially help get you closer to that realization.
In this episode, we explore the top NFTs in the past 24 hours, 7 days, and all-time on OpenSea.
Snoop Dogg has been on top of his game lately and on top of the NFT world. He has done great things and with his ambitions, he aims to release the first major label in the metaverse through Death Row Records.

In this NFT Alert we explore how the following NFTs are behaving in strange manners by just looking at their floor prices and average sales prices on OpenSea:
This is just my little rant and feeling about this cool and community drive NFT project Mfers! Please read Sartoshi (the creator of Mfers) post on what are mfers.
I didn't want to elaborate too much on the floor price analysis and why it has pumped so quickly. Instead, I wanted to explore the idea of planting a seed or an idea and keep working on it. Sometimes we don't need to overthink things in order to create a successful project.
Analysis paralysis is a very real thing. Passion alone can be a major driver for starting a wonderful piece of innovation or creating a community. Curiosity will be the initial spark to set that path.
With Sartoshi's story on mfers I think you'll get a better idea of what I'm trying to say here.
To get more information on this week's update on VeeFriends and Book Games I highly recommend reading these articles from the VeeFriends Blog:
Remember that the only way to buy a VF2 is to buy Book Games from Token Trove. Now a lot of VF1 holders were a little upset that you need this to be to get the chance to mint VF2 but there will be big news for them soon!
Gary Vee has something up his sleeve for VF1 holders to be excited about for VF2. I think that they will get some sort of pass or free NFT but that's just my assumption. Nevertheless, I think VF1 will come out with something big!
The utility of NFTs is very exciting. Yes, it's cool to own JPEGs that have a roadmap but the smart contract and utility capability that projects are doing is the real deal-breaker! For example, there's a home by Tampa that was sold as an NFT for 210 ETH ($653,000 at the time).
This isn't a one-time thing by the way as Propy, a company supported by Silicon Valley leaders and the National Association of Realtors, is using web3.0 technology to make the dealing of real estate much more efficient (to speak in general terms).
StockX is a major marketplace for reselling collectibles, bags, merch, and mostly sneakers. Nike sneakers are one of if not the biggest products that are sold on StockX. In January of 2022, StockX launched Vault NFTs, where the customers can invest in NFTs tied to physical products and trade them instantly with lower fees.
According to StockX, the buyer of a StockX Vault NFT will also own the corresponding physical item including the opportunity to take possession of it at any time. The physical products tied to the Vault NFTs are stored in a secure, climate-controlled facility. Each Vault NFT edition is uniquely serialized to an authenticated product in the Vault, as a title of ownership.
Nike alleges that the resulting crypto assets constitute trademark infringement, false designation of origin, and trademark dilution, among other violations when these Vault NFTs are sold (talking about the Nike NFT Vault collection).
This might have some serious implications in the entire NFT market if Nike is to successfully sue StockX.
There are 10 crazy NFTs that grant people access to a lifetime pass to Coachella with some cool perks. The Coachella NFT collection was sold for nearly $1.5 million! This is another prime example of integrating real-world utilities into an NFT.
This episode is something new where I comment on some crazy NFT sales that this Twitter page @nftwhalealert shares every day! NFT Whale Alert is sharing some cool stuff and had to comment on the art plus the prices people paid for it.
For some reason, this project Karafuru kept coming up with multiple sales of 30-40 ETH!
Alien Frens is an NFT project that was born on December 20th, 2021 as the minting price of only 0.02 ETH. As of this recording, the floor price is 1.83 ETH and it was at 3.3 ETH at some point!
In a matter of months, Alien Frens climbed up in the charts to the top 100 projects on OpenSea in terms of total sales volume. If you're asking how or why this project got the crazy amount of recognition and surge in floor price then we're on the same boat. If we can intrinsically pinpoint why things like this happen then we would all be much better off.
There are always press releases, celebrity promotions, or even manipulation that can dictate the prices of NFT projects. But looking at Alien Frens, we can see that this project and the team are in it for the long haul. The Discord community, engagement, artwork, content, and collaboration make this project stand out.
For example, this project is collaborating with Full Send and will have an in-person event! The fact that the project is centered around sunny LA where tech, culture, and, entrepreneurship thrive can be one factor in the success of this project.
One of the best ways to get a bird's eye view of an NFT project in terms of popularity, floor price, wallet holders is by checking out Dune Analytics. To be honest, there isn't much data to make better-informed decisions long-term considering the fact that NFT is so new (more specifically Alien Frens). However, you can make extrpolations based on the current data and project it may be to another wildly popular projects like Cool Cats and Doodles.
The Super Bowl is one of the largest events in the United States that we have every year. This year's playoffs have been amazing and we're all hoping to see a great game between the LA Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals.
During the Super Bowl, there are hundreds of millions of dollars are made through TV advertisements. Nobody really watches TV let alone commercials nowadays except during the Super Bowl. Why do I bring this up? Well, this year we are rumored to see Bored Ape Yacht Clubs NFTs from Eminem and Snoop Dogg during the halftime show, Budlight and Budweiser NFT imagery during its commercials, and FTC and Crypto.com have confirmed commercial slots!
Gamestop has been a hallmark for a lot of us when we went to buy video games. Nowadays, they are past their glory days but they can make a major comeback as a brand in the NFT space. In fact, Gamestop has partnered with Immutable X. By building on Immutable X, GameStop aims to draw in NFT enthusiasts with low gas fees.
“GameStop, in partnership with Immutable, has the potential to cement itself as the ultimate destination for the next paradigm of gaming; true in-game economies that enable permissionless ownership of in-game items and value players for their time,” Immutable cofounder Robbie Ferguson said in a statement." Immutable cofounder Robbie Ferguson said in a statement.
Back in November of 2021, AMC had a press release of the 86,000 Spider-Man NFTs in promotion of the Spider-Man: No Way Home movie. The same thing will be possible for the new Batman movie that will come out on March 6th. In order to be eligible for the NFT, you need to reserve your ticket by February 14th.

VeVe has amassed over 1.9 million active monthly users. With more competition comes less of a chance of getting the opportunity of getting the drops you really want. It sucks when drops get sold out in less than a minute leaving you in the dust.
But if you're wondering how the heck some accounts were able to get dozens if not hundreds of that one drop then there's only one word for that...bots. For the most part, bots are able to get multiple NFTs within a very short period of time. As the number of complaints began to pile up VeVe had its ears open.
On February 4, VeVe dropped an article, Bots and Account Restrictions — What You Need To Know, which describes the actions they will take to bots amongst other cool updates for giving everyone a fair shot of getting a drop.
For example, they are set to establish a 'Waiting Room' drop model. The waiting room "will open a certain amount of time before a drop, at which point you can put your name in the ring for your chance to secure a reservation. Collectors will be randomly selected from those in the waiting room, which will also help to level the playing field across different devices."
This might disappoint some fans who were able to get some drops the fairway by not using bots and instead of using cool tricks to land highly anticipated NFTs.
In other news, some cool recent VeVe drops include:
If you want to learn more about VeVe and Ecomi the best sources are:
There is so much going on with VF1, VF2, and Book Games tokes. Gary Vee has been drawing his VeeFriends 2 characters as he shared 11/15 drawings that you can see here!
In order to mint the new VF2 characters you need to burn Book Game NFTs but we don't know which ones exactly. The project is expected to launch on April 2022 so start getting your ETH and Book Games ready!
These are the articles you must read to get the most VeeFriends alpha:
Here is some alpha that Gary Vee has posted on his Discord:
When we think about NFTs for the most part we think about cool stick figures, apes, pop-art, doodling, and anime sort of characters based around a collection of 10,000 pieces. Now what if I were to tell you that there is another realm of art that maybe we haven't paid too much attention to?
In this podcast episode, we will go over two photographers that are making a major impact, both in terms of monetary gain and exposure to their art, in the NFT space:
On OpenSea they are in the top 4 in the photography category. Isaac Wright created a collection called "Where My Vans Go" with a current floor price of 40 ETH with a total of 118 items created.
Isaac's photography is him going to extreme height (literally) and taking bird-eye view pictures of his bottom half wearing Vans. He should be sponsored by Vans if he has not already. His story and photography are, I think, the main driving factors for his popularity.
With Justin Aversano, he was super early in the NFT space as one of the first, if not the first, photographers to publish his photographs on the Ethereum blockchain. He has two collections:
These two collections have a floor price of 130 and 120 ETH respectively! Like Isaac, his photography tells a story and contains a deeper meaning that regular NFTs cannot offer. Maybe this is why these pieces of art are worth a lot more.
Nevertheless, this episode was to inspire photographers to look into the NFT world, become curious about it, and experiment. Maybe your work will get a lot more exposure and maybe generate sales that can become life-changing.
If you're new to NFTs then you might be confused about how to find projects. There are two main platforms that come to mind when discovering NFT projects. That is Twitter and Discord.
These platforms will be your best friend when it comes down to learning about NFTs and all the valuable information about that one particular project that initially caught your attention. You will soon go down a rabbit hole in discovering more and more projects and your mind will be bombarded with all this noise about the different projects you cannot miss out on. This is when FOMO or the fear of missing outcomes into play.
I think one of the toughest things is not discovering projects but just keeping your mind sane while getting all this information. Learning about Web 3.0, in general, is very exciting but at some point, it can be very stressful if we're thinking about flipping NFTs in the short term. If you are a long-term investor or just a collector then you won't get a big headache compared to people who are trying to look for daily profits.
Twitter and Discord are the main platforms to find projects and get information about what to get into immediately so you can flip at a later date and got some bags.
Again all this is not financial advice. If you're in it for flipping NFTs, investing long-term, collecting for fun, or just learning about the space then you need to be active on these platforms. Also joining Twitter spaces is very important to learn about this new movement in web 3.0 technology and about the projects themselves in this NFT world.
So the Superbowl is coming up we have the Bengals against the LA Rams. Now, what does this have to do with NFTs? Well the Bengals and the NFL are releasing a Super Bowl 56 NFT called The Road To The Super Bowl. Each NFT is going to be $249 a pop.
Museums are one of the best ways to learn about history art music and humans in general. When we think about art museums we think about canvases and physical sculptures that we can see and touch with our hands. But guess what there's going to be an NFT Museum in Seattle where people can kind of learn about the technology behind NFTs and the different art collections. I've been made throughout the time in this early history of NFTs.
Lil Yachty is suing an NFT seller was that raised $6.5 million in funds by using his name without his consent or any compensation. He is accusing Opulous of trademark infringement, unfair competition, and right of publicity violations.
Want to become the next Disney NFT manager. Well, you can. All you need is a minimum of five years of licensing or business development experience, knowledge and passion for the digital and NFT categories and a strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Keynote.
There are actually 20,000 NFTs in the CrpytoPunks collection splt as v1 and v2. Some people claim that there are only 10,000 but there is actually double due to a bug back in 2017 where buyers were able to buy a CryptoPunk and get their ETH back. As a result, a v2 CrpytoPunks collection was made.
There isn't much big news on claymation but there are some key updates that you should kind of look into. For example, did you know that Clay Nation is not the top two anymore for cNFTs. As a matter of fact, Pavia has taken its slot at number two.
But no worries everyone claymations here to stay it's strong and it's working out some really cool stuff such as the clay burst as we already know from the clay paper. In recent news on Twitter and Discord, they've been showing us some really cool 3D renderings of the Clay Nation characters.
Check out the rendering here:
The floor price (date of recording is 2/2/2022) is currently sitting at 1,200 ADA which is about $1,200 USD. The highest sales in the past days were:
Some resources to check the Clay Nation project and cNFT project rankings:
Whenever you go on Twitter or YouTube you always find people making dumb money on the NFTs. You'll see someone turning $100 into $5,000 and $5,000 to $10000 to $100,000 and so on and so forth. But nobody really talks about their losses via NFTs.
Today I want to share my experience of an NFT that I invested in and a full seven-eighth of my ETH investment was gone in a matter of days. So I'm currently seeing that a lot of anime and Asian NFTs are becoming extremely popular. Some include Azuki, Killer GF, Zipcy's SuperNormal, Life of Asuna, and Capsule House.
So there's this new product that just came off with a collection of 3,500 NFTs. I bought when the floor price was 0.23 or 0.24 Ethereum and in a matter of days, 7/8th of its value went down.
Now, of course, I will only lose the investment if I actually sell as of this moment. This is why I'm waiting for the long-term to see if I can recuperate or even make a huge game but I can see why FOMO'ing can be very very dangerous.
So just because I've seen Asian NFTs and Anime NFTs popping off did not guarantee that other ones are going to as well. This was pure speculation on my part. It feels different actually experiencing it. The project was Meta Joseon and I'm not talking about how bad it is. I'm just talking about how the floor price just went down in a matter of days. It could have happened for a number of reasons.
I have not done enough research to indicate or tell me that this project is not good at all or does not have an outlook. I'm pretty sure that there are tons of NFT projects that went down in floor price and in a matter of weeks or months the floor price went up and I got massive media attention.
As they say, great things take time and of course. I was looking for short-term profits now I have to wait long term to maybe make something back in return.
I spoke about this because not many people talk about their losses and it's important to share one's experiences.
Here are the most recent and upcoming VeVe drops to keep an eye on:
We also spoke about the ECOMI x Immutable migration. If you're interested in the ECOMI token or a holder then it is important to read what is going on. I don't want to put a direct link to the actual blog where I got the information. Instead, you can go to their Twitter page and find the information there (just want to be safe)!
There is some big, big news around the NFT and metaverse. The biggest news comes with Microsoft making the move of acquiring Activision for $69 billion!
Ubisoft is still getting hated but has stated that people still don't get the concept of NFTs in the gaming sector. The reason for the backlash of the NFT initiative of allowing users to own in-game items is mainly is that the community believes that Ubisoft is not looking out for them. Instead, they are trying to make passive income off the royalties of selling the NFT in-game items. Tezos will be the blockchain technology to make this possible but Ubisoft indicated that it won't be involved if stuff went down during the actional transactions. Basically not be held accountable for the NFT sales themselves.
A Minecraft NFT game called "Blockverse" look like to have rug pulled people out of $1 million in a matter of 8 hours. The Discord was cut off and the community was left panicing. However, after some time the founding team released a statement about the harrasement and problems they were facing and promised to ensure that their operation is not indeed a rug pull. Nevertheless, this still raises a giant red flag!
Coinbase really about to make its own NFT platform and directly compete with OpeanSea. They already showed a preview of their page. Do you think we will be all transitioning to Coinbase to buy NFTs are is OpenSea still going to be number one?
There really is a lot of alpha across the board in the entire VeeFriends ecosystem! Most of the news came from VeeFriends 2 and Book Games but VeeFriends 1 holders should be super excited.
Here are key highlights of this episode and the main alpha from the VeeFriends blog:
I was saying on the podcast that the biggest IP on VeeFriends are characters like Patient Panda and Empathy Elephant but the Gift Goat is something that has tremendous utility and strong IP as well. The first two are like the Iron Mans and Captain Americas of Marvel but the Gift Goat has so much utility.
Remember that Book Games are played forever as you can burn your tokens to get other assets on the exchange. I honestly thought that a lot more people were going to start burning but maybe they're saving up for basic frames to be able to mint the new VF2 characters.
The main burns were done during the first couple of days for the Just The Art Bundle which had a market value of over $250k at the time. These were exchanged almost immediately because the bundle included a GOO and a PSA-authenticated original drawing. So much value!
Pablo Picasso, the famous Spanish painter, who passed away in 1973 is going to have his artwork live in the blockchain forever. That's because his granddaughter and her son are creating a collection of 1,010 NFTs of a painted ceramic bowl previously unseen by the public.
Wen lambo? If you were asking when Lamborghini was going to create an official NFT then we have good news for you. Lamborgini announced that it would auction off a series of NFTs that is produced in collaboration with Swiss artist Fabian Oefner, as well as NFT Pro and Sotheby’s.
Bud Light is getting ready to enter the NFT world. Beginning February 6th, Bud Light Next NFTs will be available for consumers, ages 21 years and older, for $399 per token. The collection will feature 12,722 unique tokens.
NFTs and crypto are still so new. That means that there are going to be inefficiencies and bugs as the technology matures over time. If one can take advantage of these crazy moments in time, then massive gains can be made. That's what happened when a user make $800k in a matter of hours on OpenSea because of a bug.
Social media platforms tend to copy each other's features nowadays. Now that Twitter launched its own NFT feature allowing users to show off their NFTs own in a hex-shaped profile picture on your Twitter account, Reddit is planning its NFT move as well.
Brands and social media platforms are getting in at scale. It's fair to say that NFTs are starting to become commercial!
I was stumbling across OpenSea and couldn't help but see the Azuki NFT in the trends yet again. About a week ago the NFT was just a collection of a spinning red bean with lightning coming out of it. From my perspective, it wasn't anything impressive in terms of the art but when the floor price go from 2ETH to 7ETH I had to look it up for a second.
Why did this crazy surge in prize happen? Why is it so popular? After doing a little research I wanted to dive in and share its possible reasons and about the project itself.
Adzuki is a small red bean that's cultivated in East Asia. For the NFT I guess they just renamed it Azuki without the letter 'd'. When looking at Google Trends there was no real interest until the November dates.
Most of the interest came from South Korea which was something different in terms of the market. I checked Discord and Twitter where they had a large fanbase and community, so this meant that they were not just an overnight success.
Not sure how they got such a massive following except for the fact that they were in some minor press releases or in blogs. Maybe they had an awesome pre-launch strategy or had major marketing plays in Asia that we're unaware of in North America.
Nevertheless, we at least know that the Azuki team had been brewing up content and hype leading up to the mint and showcase of the gallery. This project seems to have a lot of potentials but my research only scratched the surface of its ideas and marketing strategies. Only time will tell!
Cardano NFTs haven't gotten as much attention as ETH NFTs but it is definitely on the rise with projects like:
With conferences like cNFTcon Cardano NFTs can continue to expand their reach. Last year the conference was down virtually but this time will it be a physical one in Las Vegas, Nevada from October 8-9 of this year!
The floor price of Clay Nation has gone up to 1,400 ADA compared to the 1,000 ADA in the last couple of months. This probably has to do with the price action of ADA as it is sitting around 1 dollar.
Even though the value of ADA has been going down since its all-time high of about $3.10 back in September, it is a great idea to stake your ADA. That's because with staking you're able to get about 4-5% return. Use this calculator to see how much you can possibly earn by staking your ADA.
If you love Clay Nation you can stake with their Clay Stake Pool. For one, you'll support your favorite Cardano NFT project and you get the chance of winning prizes!
Welcome to another episode of VeeFriends Weekly where we cover everything VeeFriends (series 1 and 2) alongside Book Games.
There hasn't been too much Discord alpha in regards to VF2 but you have to keep this in mind:
VeeFriends 1 (VF1) has a floor price of 11.5ETH. It hasn't moved too much in terms of the floor price but since the price of ETH has gone down over 20% in the past 7 days, the actual USD floor price has gone down. This might be the single greatest opportunity, after the initial mint, to buy one right now!
Get more information regarding VeeFriends and Book Games on the VeeFriends Roundup here.
As of this recording, the price of ETH is $2,423 and it was sitting around $4,000 30 days ago! I think that as the price of ETH goes down people start to panic and sell their sets assets including NFTs.
There is a direct link between NFTs and ETH so it's natural for the USD price of the NFT projects to go down. Looking at OpenSea for popular projects including:
we see that the prices (in terms of USD) look like they're going through a firesale! If there was ever a time to buy ETH to buy that one NFT you really wanted then this is the time to do it I think.
The price of ETH went down 26% in the past week so maybe that's why we're also seeing a lot of panic selling. So both the floor prices and the price of ETH are making these NFTs super attractive.
There are some cases where the floor price has been going up like DeadFellaz. Not sure why this is happening but this can be a cool topic to cover if it continues to go up during this carnage.
Welcome to another segment of NFT news where we get the latest and hottest news around the NFT landscape and present it to you in under 20 minutes.
Twitter is launching a feature (only for payers of the Twitter subscription service) where you can double flex your NFT pfp. Of course, you can screenshot your NFT and put it on Twitter but you can be the 'verified' owner through its new feature believe it or not. The "flex" of owning a sought-after NFT is hot so showing that off will definitely make you look cool and possibly more attention.
UNICEF, a United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide, has created its own NFT collection. The following proceeds are to support internet connectivity at schools. So far $740,000 has been raised! As UNICEF makes more re-sales of its NFTs it will continue to donate to the cause of internet connectivity for schools. This is a great application for NFTs that non-profits, businesses, and personal brands can model.
After talking about Ozzy Osbourne's NFT project, CrpytoBatz, there has been a breach on Discord. People have lost hundreds if not thousands of dollars by a scammer on Discord. The wallet that all the stolen ETH was sent to a wallet that had $150,000 worth of ETH.
Tom Brady is putting in work on and off the field. In the NFT world, he is the co-founder of Autograph. A company that just received a Series B funding of $170 million. The company will help A-list athletes curate ways to impose NFTs for their personal brand. Autograph's roster of athletes includes Tom Brady himself, Tiger Woods, Tony Hawk, Derek Jeter, Naomi Osaka, Usain Bolt, and Wayne Gretzky. Sheesh!
We covered the FlyFish Club NFT mint a couple of weeks where the mint prices were 2.5 ETH and 4.25 ETH respectively. The regular FlyFish Club (FFC) had the lower floor price but it has doubled to 5 ETH!
There was a very slow start compared to what other popular projects experience but now it has been gaining traction on OpenSea (maybe it has to do with the Miami yacht event it is going to have in February).
Even though the restaurant at which FFC members will have to will open in 2023 (assuming no delays), there is still a lot of anticipation and interesting things to look forward to this year. One is the Miami yacht event and virtual events around cooking. There might be other things not mentioned in the "roadmap" but as the VCR team gets more revenue through the royalty sales, they might be able to do more things throughout the year.
Only time will tell with how the project will progress but I see this project being at least 10 ETH for an FFC because it is the first NFT project centered around the luxurious food industry in NYC!
I don't know if World of Women is "the first women-led NFT project" but I can say with conviction that it is probably the most recognized. With a current floor price of 7.83 ETH, I think it has been a catalyst for the movement of women-led projects.
World of Women's brand is really becoming something else and ever since it has gotten a lot of attention I've been seeing a lot of other great projects such as:
These projects have much lower floor prices but the attention they're getting is great and can be a smart alternative to WoW.
I hope all these projects do very well during the highs and lows. There might be an NFT winter coming but I believe that these projects have massive potential. Not only that but they also symbolize the idea of anyone getting into NFTs and entrepreneurship and creating a beautiful community.
Note: this content is for entertainment purposes only and not financial advice
Today we give you the update on the top 10 NFTs of all time and in the past 24 hours on OpenSea.
There are two projects that have caught my attention because of the community and fan bases that have been built before the launch. A good pre-launch strategy can help excite the prospects for a healthy floor which means more royalties for the project which results in more benefits for the holders if things hold.
The two projects are:
These two projects already have an established platform based on the personalities behind them so there will be an expectation to execute for the long-term I hope. Many celebrities have made a quick bag by selling NFTs with no unique selling proposition or utility.
I think the FULL SEND by Metacard NFTs will do well as a long-term project based on the excitement, ambition, and due diligence of the team. All you have to do is listen to this podcast episode of the Full Send crew with Gary Vee to get that same feeling.
Note: none of this is financial advice and only for entertainment purposes
Moving from project to project by making sweet flips is a nice feeling. To know (or at least have a gut feeling) that a new project is going to pop off and make you a healthy gain is pretty darn cool.
Doing this on a frequent basis is hard to do as you're trying to catch one wave after the other but by doing so you may lose out on potential gains for the long term. Of course, we all win some and lose some but catching the wave of hype can be something else. Discord and Twitter will of course be your friends for information but will there be a time where there is too much hype?
How many cool new projects are there going to be before we fall flat on our faces? I guess what I'm trying to say is that making NFT flips is fun as heck but also dangerous. At one point does this NFT frenzy go south? Maybe profit shaving will be the thing to do but again this is not financial advice y'all!
There are updates on the development of the 10,000 unique Clay Nation characters with its 3D renderings and Clayverse. This segment of the project has been explained in the white paper and is coming to fruition by the developer(s) of the Clay Nation team,
The 3-day rolling floor is still sitting around the 1,000 ADA mark so not much has changed there. However, the coolest piece of news is that there is an opportunity for a Good Charlotte x Clay Nation holder to win a raffle that will grant them an NFT clay guitar on January 31st and physical guitar chosen by Joel Madden. This guitar will be signed by the Clay Nation team and the band itself! Sheesh!!
If you are a Millennial like me (25 year-old male) then you probably grew up with shows and movies like the Power Puff Girls, Spider-Man, Bat Man, Disney, The Simpsons, etc.
Right now the "cool" IP is centered around Etheriu, based NFT projects such as BAYC, Doodles, Alien Frens, and many others. A lot of people are making nice flips out of it but how much fun would it be to do the same with the cartoon and IPs we've watched as kids? Not only that but it would be twice as fun if you can make bags doing it too (not financial advice to start flipping NFTs on VeVe).
Imagine buying a Superman Series One Rare NFT on VeVe for 500 Gems ($500) and flipping that to get 2-3X? This is happening right now on VeVe and it's so cool to see these things play out with cartoons and shows from back in the day.
I still believe that ETH and Solana probably have the upper hand in popularity but this might be something to look into for fun!
In the past 72 hours, there has been major attention on the NFT project CryptoSkulls. In only a matter of days, the floor price went from 0.05ETH to 4ETH!! Not only that but NFT OGs are selling their CryptoPunks for these CryptoSkulls!
In this podcast episode we go over the idea of how the first NFT projects hold a historic intrinsic value that can make any investor get massive gains (potentially and not financial advice).
Here's a quick little explanation on what Gary Vee's recent project Book Games is all about, the gaming aspect on it, predictions, and some of the alpha news he shared on Discord.
The best source ok key information is on Gary Vee's Twitter and the VeeFriend's blog but I think there are diamond-vibranium nuggets on Discord.
Here are some quotes from Gary Vee on Discord:
*"my next plan is to not speak about book games for 4 weeks and watch paper hands fold like chairs!"
"and MORE coming, the value will always hold unless I die, I am the game maker !!!"
"mistake row"*(Gary Vee showing the special tokens being sold for 4.7-5.5 ETH)
"*I think ponies and koala is in the same place right now that series 1 was on day two, many will speak about this moment in 9 months"
"there will be moment when I share a link and it will say .. first 50 people that burn 5 wood/gold/optimism get X"*
The FlyFish Club NFT is the "World's First NFT Restaurant" that will be open sometime in early 2023 in NYC. There will be a total of 1,151 tokens for the mint for 2.5 ETH plus on January 7th at 11 am EST. However, there has been a presale in December where the floor price is currently sitting at 5ETH at this time.
This project is one of the few projects in the entire NFT space where there is actual utility. Only a handful of projects have had a real-world to some degree such as physical events, meetups, and conferences.
Most of the NFT space is traded around intellectual property. There are many projects that have gained a lot of attention and can turn into something great like Yu-gi-oh and Pokemon!
The NFT world is here and invest in your project wisely :)
VeeFriends is about to launch the Book Game NFTs on January 10th (or even earlier)! Gary Vee in the past couple of weeks has been retweeting about NFT projects such as Smol Brains and Wolf Game.
The dynamic of these two examples is more complex than your regular NFTs as this includes a gamification aspect with real tokenomics. I think this is where the Book Game NFTs are heading!
Happy New Year's Eve! 2021 is coming to a close but the NFT craze is still going on as we explore the five best-selling NFT Collections over the past week:

If you've read the Clay Paper then you must know that the Clay Nation team is currently building a fully compatible AR/VR world with an approximate delivery of February 2022!
Your Clay Nation will have legs to explore the world and to give you an idea take a look at this tweet from the team! This is another image of the environment that your Clay can be running in.
According to the team, things are on track but we still should not expect things to meet the approximate deadline. That's because in tech there are so many unaccounted things that can delay the project.
In regards to Clay Nation and its pricing, here are the recent updates (December 27th, 2021):
To follow more on the Clay Nation project you can follow up with them here:
Happy Holidays VeVe fans and NFT holders!
This was an exciting week during the holidays as we got new updates from the Master Collector Program (MCP) and drops including:
The cool thing about VeVe and Ecomi is that there is a lot of content around the different social media platforms to share the latest drops, news, and updates. I think the more transparent a project is, the more trust the community will have.
There was a scare the last couple of weeks with the Discord scam where people lost up to $20,000. It's a new and exciting space but also a cautious one where scammers try to take advantage.
It's important to have fun while diving into NFTs but to also sleep with one eye open. Scammers are everywhere so please be careful!
Art is very subjective and the projects that we go over today are pretty darn cool from my perspective. Here are the NFT projects we go over today:
Little Lemons remind me of the music brand Lyrical Lemonade which resonates with me. Apart from that, the art itself is very simple, cute, and pop-artish!
The Weekend is a world-class music artist producing hits. His limited NFT collection of his top 100 hit is pretty cool. It's like a gold chrome card swirling as a short video in a way.
My Pet Hooligan is the best piece of art because of the 3D art and gaming feature!
Welcome to the VeeFriends Weekly show where we go over all the latest news in the week regarding the latest sales, collaborations, drops, news, and more!
VeeFriends has been doing so much either through its UNO collaboration, the merch drop with Anwar Carrots, or new updates of the Book Games NFTs on Immutable X.
Gary Vee also released a list of the speakers and entertainers for VeeCon in 2022. Some of these massive personalities include the likes of:

In today's NFT news segment we will go over the following stories:
To get a deeper insight into these stories, definitely click on the links above which are the original articles (source of information).
Every week we make an update on the top NFT projects of all time (by volume) on OpenSea and it's always the same ranking. Number one is Crypto Punks and two is BAYC. Now when it comes down to floor price there was a "flippening" where the lowest floor prices of the two projects were compared.
Note: It was the BAYC #3041(floor price) that was the NFT to have the higher floor price compared to the lowest Crypto Punk floor than Crypto Punk #1254.
I think BAYC has more of a brand play than Crypto Punks but when you have first movers advantage it can be hard to dethrone that.
Nevertheless, these are two great NFT projects to own and follow!
What’s up NFT fam?
In this episode we will go over:
👉🏼 The top 10 projects of all-time on OpenSea (in terms of total volume).
👉🏼The top 10 projects in the past 7-days on OpenSea (in terms of the total volume)
👉🏼Shaq and Stephen Curry NFT drops🏀
What’s cool about Shaq’s and Curry’s projects is that they’re donating the proceeds to people in need. The application of using NFTs as an instrument to raise money for a charitable cause is awesome.
These guys are of course legends of the game and providing tons of value through entertainment and charity👏🏼
What's up Clay Nation holders, family, and fanatics!?
In Clay Nation weekly we go over
To be more specific we will explore the new merch drop where you can buy Clay Nation t-shirts and hats with either your credit card or with ADA, BTC, or ETH through NFT Link!
If you read the Clay Nation paper, you would have gotten a really good idea of the direction of this wonderful project. The team is trying to add VR and AR functionality by February 2022!
On Twitter, they've been teasing us with how the tents will potentially look like? 3D rendering of our Clay Nations will be made as avatars for us to explore the world. This is looking exciting!!
To follow more on the Clay Nation project you can follow up with them here:
As a VeVe holder and fanatic, this is sad to hear, especially since the holidays are coming up. This will be a basic overview of what just happened on the Discord on the 17th of December but you can definitely get a better insight from Cavell Anderson (OG VeVe collector) on his Youtube channel.
So on the 17th of December, the whole Veve Discord chat "was compromised overnight" in the US. There was a post of a person with the alias of NoahSanta claiming to VeVe was launching $VeVe "their ERC-20 token". The scam claimed that you can stake your token to get exclusive NFT drops and stake your token to get 8% APY.
We are still very new in the NFT world so scams are at an all-time high. So even if you're not a VeVe holder, please be careful.
On the other side of things, however, there are two really cool drops coming to the VeVe platform:
These are two very iconic brands joining the list of awesome VeVe brands in the NFT space. Very cool stuff!!
We go over 4 very interesting and lucrative stories from popular brands such as Dr. Suess, Shopify, BAYC, and Universal Music Group,
Here are the actual articles that cover these stories if you'd like to take a read:
It's incredible what BAYC is doing with their brand. They have amassed "nearly $1 billion in secondary sales volume since release, Yuga Labs — the developers behind BAYC — have continued to conceive new ways to both reward BAYC collectors and onboard new community members."*This is what an NFT project and popular brand ought to do in order to grow and have serious longevity. For each sale, they make on secondary market places they get a 2.5% royalty! So let's say that without any additional nuances or fees on the BAYC end, it is fair to say that they've generated $25 million. And that may not even include the additional drops they've made with the mutant apes too.
With that budget after potential salaries or taxes, they have enough rough to reinvest into very interesting projects as we're seeing here.
BAYC is setting the precedent for NFTs projects.*Source: https://nftnow.com/news/bored-ape-yacht-club-play-to-earn-nft-game/
In short...I believe that the NFT market will experience something similar to the Dotcom Bubble in 2001-2002. I do not have any facts to support this opinion and more of a gut feeling.
With that out of the way, I believe that there are so many NFT projects being launched with no real-world utility. Now, I think it's true that real artists utilizing NFTs can make a name for themselves and provide massive value with their pieces.
Other projects have been strung together for a quick sell and never to be heard from again. Take a look at this example of a rug pull. This is not to scare you about such projects, but it must be noted that these things are out there.
Besides the scams, I think there is too much supply of NFT collections vs actual demand and utility. This is why I believe most of them will fail and the ones to survive are the projects that either:
VeeFriends ain't no joke. This brand collaboration with UNO just took this project up 5 notches of coolness! The pre-sale of the VeeFriends x UNO deck of cards was on December 17, 2021, for $25 + shipping and was sold out within an hour!
Going on eBay, you can see the pre-sale UNO packs being resold for $150 and over. These UNO cards are extra special because they can contain rare cards that can be submitted to PSA to get graded as shown here.
Each deck of cards will include a "highly collectible special foil card randomly inserted in each deck; some foil cards are rarer than others with the “Gary Bee” foil card being the rarest of them all." So imagine getting one of these rare cards in a UNO pack and possibly getting a 9-10 PSA-rated car which can be resold for a lot more in the future?
Of course, VeeFriends 1 is super expensive to buy off OpenSea, but we're still able to invest in this project in some shape or form. Either that was through the Book Games (NFT book pre-sale), the Empathy Elephant Wine collection, the UNO cards, and also merch!
Yup, VeeFriends also collaborated with Carrots where you can get yourself some VeeFriends merch. Take a look at this Instagram post to get a better idea of what I'm talking about.
The VeeFriends brand really is out here!
Nike has acquired RTFT (pronounced "artifact") which adds to their portfolio of companies including the likes of Air Jordan, Converse, and now RTFKT.
RTFKT is a company founded in 2019/2020 by Steve Vasilev, Benoit Pagotto, and Chris Le. This is a company that spawned overnight even though it might seem like it.
In today's episode, we go over the NFTs of RTFKT amongst other cool projects in the top 10 list in the last 7-day as well as the all-time list on OpenSea.
What's up VeVe fans and collectors? In today's segment we go over:
Besides Deadpool and another James Bond NFT, we also have a Voltron collection!
If you want to keep up-to-date with VeVe news, drops, and community check out their social media platforms here:

So what's going on with VeeFriends in the past week?
To get more information on VeeFriends check out these channels:
Clay Nation has been selling a commemorative animation for 12 ADA to fund its next Time Square advert in January and for community meetups!
The community is so strong on Twitter and Discord but having physical meetups will make things much cooler. Other great NFT projects are doing the same such as BAYC, Cryptoon Goonz, and others. It's time for Clay Nation holders and fanatics to get together!
The current floor price (during this recording) is 1,000 ADA according to TokenRef Clay Nation. For the Clay Nation x Good Charlotte NFT collection, the floor price is 198 ADA. It's pretty low right now compared to what it was before during the Halloween hype. But imagine what is going to happen next Halloween?
To follow more on the Clay Nation project you can follow up with them here:
The stories we will cover today are:
Imagine selling someone that's worth $300k for only $3k? That must be very sad for the fellow who committed this error. This ought to make anyone selling NFTs quadruple-check their listings. That is life-changing money that cannot be recovered.
In this episode, we are exploring NFT-Stats.com, which is an NFT tool to get the latest insights about which NFTs are selling and which are not. This site will help you get informed before your next big NFT purchase, or find out which are the latest record NFT sales.
It's always fun looking at which NFT projects are trending or how much volume is being pushed. These sort of stats is mind-boggling and yet we're still so early in this space.
What are the top 10 projects on OpenSea by volume? I'm glad you asked!
Top NFT projects by volume (per OpenSea):
Note: data recorded on December 8, 2021
NFTs is no longer becoming a niche thing where artist sells digital art. Last week we spoke about the partnership of Sony, AMC, and WAX creating 86,000 Spider-Man NFTs for the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home movie.
In this episode, we talk about Ubisoft getting into the NFT game by introducing it to its new Tom Clancy game Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.
In sports, the NFL team, Vikings, is introducing its first commemorative NFT for the Steelers game.
The NFT frenzy is only getting bigger. How many big brands need to be involved in this revolutionary technology for you to be convinced of its innovative applications? It's important to understand it to some degree.
If you're a Clay Nation fan living in London then I'm really sore. It is unfortunate that Clay Nation will not be able to run the bus campaign in London.
The pivot will be to share a special Christmas Clay Nation animation in Times Square. This will be on December 10th but from January 3rd to the 9th another animation will be shown as part of a commercial reel.
Clay Nation never fails to disappoint. They realized that they couldn't see the London bus campaign play out but at least they made a tremendous effort to pivot.
Now in terms of the floor price at the time of this recording (December 7, 2021), it is sitting at 1,019 ADA according to TokenRef. This can also be verified by looking at the cheapest Clay Nation prices on CNFT.io.
Is it time to sweep the floors?
This is the VeeFriends Weekly show where we go over the recent activity around VeeFriends such as:
In this episode, Gift Goats have the most eye-balls have the top sales have come from them. There was also a really cool brand collaboration between VeeFriends and Creature World for the VeeFriends Mini Drops.
The Gift Goat token holders were given these tokens and some were actually sold on OpenSea for over 6 ETH! That's literally more than the original minting price of the Gift Goat itself. How crazy is that!?
We also go over what Gary Vaynerchuk is doing with Twitter Spaces as well. Gary is talking with the emerging artists in the NFT space and one of the coolest projects he went over was CryptoonGoonz. We didn't go over the utility but just the sick art itself!
Recur is a new platform that plans to mint the biggest and baddest NFTs with serious intellectual property
It reminds me of the VEVE platform where a lot of strong brands such as Marvel, Disney, Cartoon Network, and a lot more are being shown (for NFTs). At the moment Recur has Hello Kitty, Rugrats, The Godfather, and many more!
Gotta love Spiderman even more now that people are given the opportunity to get a free Spiderman NFT as the new “Spider-Man: No Way Home” approaches.
There will be a total of 86,000 Spiderman NFTs and to participate you needed to:
Even if you participated or not, this shows how widespread NFTs are getting. This is getting mainstream as the massive brands such as AMC and Sony are getting in on NFTs (with the help of the WAX blockchain)
VeeFriends weekly news update + more:
Recap of the Clay Nation Weekly:
VEVE is an NFT platform that houses so many strong brands such as Disney, Marvel, DC, James Bond, Cartoon Network, and the list really goes on.
A lot of cool NFTs are being created on different blockchains and their IPs are very promising. But what about the already established IPs just mentioned?
Veve has crazy partnerships and created a VEVE Verse with all of its holdings. They are an exciting project that will make anyone happy.
Not in terms of money but the nostalgia that it brings to the everyday person (in my opinion).
We review the most expensive NFTs on OpenSea that were ever sold!
Here is the list in order:
1. CrpytoPunk #9998 (there is speculation that this NFT was bought and sold by the same seller as this was not covered in the actual podcast episode itself). It was "bought and sold for 124,457.0675 ETH
Dujana Abrar is an NFT fanatic and Cardano fan. His enthusiasm and tech background helped him create his Cardano NFT project Stiks.
He breaks down his story on how and why he created his Stiks project, the reality of working solo, the finances, and the future of NFTs.
We also spoke about the idea of how there are so many projects popping out of existence so becoming relevant in the NFT space is getting increasingly more competitive. So besides having cool art, your project needs to have a lot more value and initiatives.
The space of NFTs is still so young and there are so many opportunities to jump in the party!

The blue-chip NFT project, built on the Cardano platform, Clay Nation, has been officially released. A lot of the questions that Clay Nation holders have been asking the past couple of months have been answered.
We all knew that the Clay Nation team was working on an "exclusive members zone" but didn't know approximately when or how this was going to happen.
The plan according to the team is to add legs to the Clay Nation characters which the holder will be able to see and download. They will be "fully compatible with AR and VR functionality".
There is so much to understand and I think the Clay Nation community should be excited about the ideas and concepts discussed in the white paper.

What makes NFT projects like Doodles so popular? Is it just the number of Twitter and Discord followers that constitute the actual floor price or value of an NFT project?\
We're still super early in the NFT space in my opinion but for now, I think there are only a fixed amount of variables that drive the value of a project.
The following drivers are:
Here are the following resources and social media links regarding the Doodles NFT project:
Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies are going through a dip and that probably results in a lot of panic selling.
Are things going to keep dipping? We don't know but we do know that there is still a lot of demand for NFTs has there has been an increase in volume for the top 10 NFT projects on NFT.
One of the projects we took a deeper dive into was Deadfellaz which has a current floor of 1 ETH. VeeFriends is also doing a brand collaboration with Empathy Wines, which Gary Vee found as well.
If you own his Empathy Elephant or two other specific VeeFriends then you'll get free cases of wine. If you don't own these VeeFriends you will be able to participate in his limited series of Empathy Elephant x VeeFriends collaboration!
OpenSea is an NFT platform where you can mint, buy, and sell NFTs. Now, OpenSea isn't the one and only platform that can do this but it might be fair to say that it is the best one by default.
In this episode, we explore the top 6 NFTs (of all time by volume) and why that may be the case. In the time of this recording here are the top 10 NFTs on OpenSea:
In this episode, I go over the Brain Vomit Garden project that has gotten the attention of Gary Vee.
Brain Vomits is an NFT project that is made by Steven Rea and the lead developer of the project G.John Turnbull. At the time of this recording, each NFT had a floor price of (0.15-0.19 ETH).
The community is growing strong both on Discord and Twitter but we need to see in the next couple of years and beyond to see if it's a success.
You know when Gary Vee expresses himself about a certain topic or subject we should all keep our ears open. With the NFT craze, there are thousands and many more to come. It's hard to keep up with the different projects and to get updated on any big news.
This is the first episode of NFT Talk with my special guest and best friend Oliver Dominguez. He will go over the story of how he first discovered and invested in Cardano in 2017 when it was less than pennies on the dollar!
Right now there are over 2,500 staking pools and Oliver was one of the first 300 until he retired his account.
This is of course an NFT podcast as we dive into the state of NFT and the different projects that we've discovered throughout the recent months in 2021.
There are many NFTs being built on Etherium, Polygon, Cardano, Solana, and more. And in each of these platforms, there are hundreds if not thousands of NFTs.
With so many NFT projects being launched every day, how can we know for sure what is going to withstand the test of time? Is the artwork itself enough? Or the utility the most important factor?
Clay Nation is a cNFT, an NFT built on the Cardano platform, that has a unique set of art, rock hard community (Discord, Twitter), and no utility just yet.
There is speculation of making major moves in terms of a community like that of Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) but nothing confirmed.
Nevertheless, Cardano has a massive community across Reddit, Twitter, Instagram, and Charles Hoskinson is the face of it who also has a massive community. Clay Nation is a community within a community and a blue-chip NFT project.
Let's dive in!
NFTs have been around since like 2014 but have become very mainstream in 2020/2021. So many projects are spawning left, right, and center.
It seems like everyone is making a boat-load of money but why? What makes one project more valuable than another? Is there something besides the artwork itself that makes NFTs a good investment or collectible?
Let's dive in!
