The AllOtsego Report is a weekly podcast that summarizes the previous week's news in Otsego County, New York.
In episode 20 of The AllOtsego Report, The mental health edition, Greg and Kevin go off script and speak about mental health as Greg shares the grief and trauma of the unexpected death of a 17-year-old relative Sunday.
Trigger warning: Suicide and mental health are discussed in this episode and tears are shed.

This episode is dedicated to the memory of Noah Matthew Daigle, 2004 to 2021, and his family. In episode 19 of The AllOtsego Report, The 2019 Kenneth Robinson murder in Worcester, New York, Greg and Kevin discuss the resolution of the case with the sentencing of Robinson's son Dylan, who was 15 when he shot his father to death.
We discuss covering the trials and sentencings of the main defendants in the case and the theory that the murder victim was abusive of his children and spouses.

In episode 18 of The AllOtsego Report, Temporary Service Disruptions, Greg and Kevin react to the "temporary" changes at Bassett Healthcare, as a result of worker shortages in the aftermath of a vaccine mandate. We discuss how anti-vaxxers break down by group and Greg discusses a recent column by a Pastor in Kentucky about religious exemptions.

We debate if giving protests coverage is a good thing, weight in on mask and vax mandates and question if people working in the health care industry should be refusing to get vaccinated.

In a very special episode of The AllOtsego Report, Greg and Kevin break format to discuss last week's 20th anniversary of 9/11 memorials and their feelings about the event. Both men were living in the New York City suburbs at the time and both know people who were in the towers, who had/have PTSD from the experience or have gotten sick and/or died from 9/11 syndrome. Several people in Kevin's world also died that day or soon after from the attack or the aftermath.
Trigger warning: We talk about our memories and traumas from that day in a way that could bring up the same issues for other people who were in lower Manhattan that day or who know people affected by the attack. And some of our opinions may offend people, too, although we make no apologies for our feelings about the attack or the aftermath. We both lived through this and our feelings and opinions are genuine and well-earned.

The AllOtsego Report turns the spotlight to the Tuesday, Nov. 2, election with an interview with Republican candidate for mayor, Leonard Carson. Carson represents the Fifth Ward of Oneonta and is a former fire captain for the city as well as a former Otsego County Representative for District 13. He is also the co-owner of DC Marketing. The murder trial of Dylan Robinson, who was convicted this week of second-degree murder in the death of his father, Kenneth Robinson of Worcester. Dylan Robinson was 15 at the time his father was shot and killed. The three-day trial had several twists and turns, but the defense did not present a case to defend Robinson, which we found unusual.
The Juneteenth celebration in Oneonta on Saturday, June 19.
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum announced more changes to the 2021 induction. In accordance with the easing of state COVID restrictions, tickets are no longer needed for lawn seating and there is no longer a cap on attendance numbers.
Section championship chips and banners went out across the county last week, except to Oneonta tennis champion Chris Catan, who is regarded as one of the best players in the region and a legend in OHS tennis.
This week's Summer Dreams section looks at a farm in Middlefield and the farmers' attempts to use genetic breeding to help solve some of the environmental problems caused by animal agriculture.
