Misericordia is the Latin for "mercy", derived from misericors, "merciful", which is in turn derived from misereri, "to pity", and cor, "heart". Listen to weekly recordings wherever you are, to soothe the soul, replenish the spirit, and to connect with our Lord.
(Genesis 14:18-20; Ps 110(109):1. 2. 3. 4; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26; Luke 9:11b-17)
Theme: The Eucharistic: The Sacrifice is Made Present, Real, and Consumed
Today’s solemnity is about what and who we receive at the sacrifice of the Mass. The Mass or the celebration of Holy Eucharist is an anamnesis (a memorial or emembrance) of our Lord Jesus' last supper, His passion, death, resurrection, and ascension, first described by St. Paul in first Corinthians 11, written about the year 53 AD, and later by the authors of the synoptic gospels.
Before their exposés on the institution of the Holy Eucharist, the Evangelists relayed some stories of our Lord Jesus’ miracles or signs, which made present the rituals of the Old Law and foreshadowed the realities of the Lord’s future salvific plans. Thus, the miracle of the five loaves and two fish relayed in today’s gospel (and present in all the synoptic gospels) re-echoes the Exodus experiences of God’s people and foreshadows the breaking of the bread of the new covenant, which has become the food that satisfies our spiritual needs for physical emancipation.
Thus, like the multitude in today’s gospel, we come each day to the Lord’s table, not only to hear the Lord speak to us but also to make present the sacrifice of our salvation. When we gather to listen to His Word, to partake of His body and blood, we do not repeat but bring to life our Lord Jesus’ agonising sacrifice of love and the events of His resurrection. This celebration is repeated because in the Mass, we consume the same sacred and real food of life.
That is why we must prepare ourselves through the sacrament of confession to recall and make present the sacrifice of our salvation, in which the Holy Spirit is invoked, to make present and real the Lord’s Body and Blood. Therefore, this life-giving food is our Lord Jesus’ parting legacy entrusted to the Apostles, the Church and believers in Christ Jesus, willed by Him to be renewed until He returns in glory.
Just as the apostles were called to serve the multitudein today’s gospel, we are called not only to receive this gift of life but also to invite others to the Lord’s banquet.
Here, the gaps created by life’s challenges are filled with words of empowerment, given to those who embody the virtues of the Eucharist. Like Melchizedek in today’s first reading, a forerunner of the Eucharistic peace andrighteousness, we are called to bless, break, and share this transforming food. This food gives us the power from within to be greater than those who seek worldly satisfaction. In Christ alone, we find hope and courage to defend and offer the peace and happiness of the Eucharist.
THE SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY TRINITY
(Proverbs 8:22-31; Psalm 8:4-5, 6-7, 8-9; Romans 5:1-5;
John 16:12-15)
THEME: Our Deep Connection with the Triune God
Today’s Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity causes us to reflect on our core belief in the existence, unity, and unbreakable love of God. However, we must reiterate that this paradoxical belief in One God revealed to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit is a relationship and community of persons with a common purpose, and not a mathematical problem or a puzzle for logical analysis.
The Psalmist reminds us that we are deeply tied to the relationship between these three autonomous persons, yet incommunion with each other, for we were made a little lower than the angels and given dominion over God’s creation. Hence, St Paul reminds us in today’s second reading that we were made righteous in Christ Jesus and granted access byfaith into the mystery of God’s community.
Thus, we must reconcile with our God the Father, who made known to us His wondrous mystery by sending into the world the Word of truth and the Spirit of sanctification. In this Mysterion, silence is golden, words are lost, faith is alive, and humility compels us to worship God, relearn the essence of true love, justice, equity, and peace.
Although we struggle to comprehend this dynamic love and unity, by faith we believe that the Father sent the Son into the world for our deliverance; that the Son has revealed the Father’s love and blessings; and that the Holy Spirit helps us tojourney without fear, knowing that the Lord who is Transcendent and Immanent is with us.
Therefore, we must acknowledge the grace upon which we stand and by which we are enabled to have a relationship with God’s Wisdom, present at the Creation of the world, who was incarnated, suffered and died to make us share in His life and love without reservation.
Thus, the Wisdom of God prompts us to ponder the existence and power of our Transcendent God, and to give thanks to our God, who is Immanent and willing to enable us to relate with God our Father and to reveal Him in love, kindness, peace, forgiveness, and unity.
Therefore, the work of the Trinity is ongoing in our hearts and minds, as well as in our world. We can participate in that work of love if our faith is constantly guided by the Holy Spirit, who continually renews our access to God and keeps alive our hope in the glory of God.
(Acts 2:1-11; Ps 104(103); Romans 8:8-17; John 14:15-16, 23b-26)
Theme: Renewed and Missioned by the Parakletos
Let us give thanks to the Lord for pouring out His unending love and mercy into our hearts from the beginning of Lent, and for guiding and leading us by grace obtained from gospel messages of Easter to this day of Pentecost, also known as Pentecoste in Greek and Shavuot in Hebrew.
We gather not to mark the Jewish harvest festival of Shavuot, which is celebrated seven weeks after the barley harvest or the Feast of Unleavened Bread (also known as Passover), but to commemorate as stated in today’s first reading the day the Apostles were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in different languages as the Spirit gave them the ability to express themselves.
The filling of the Apostles and disciples of our Lord Jesus with the wind or breath of God’s Spirit evokes the ruach Elohim’s hovering over the surface of the earth as described in Genesis 1:2. It was witnessed by thousands of Jews and pilgrims from various parts of the world who had gathered in Jerusalem for two major feasts mandated by the Lord in the Torah: the Passover (which had evolved into the feast of God’s deliverance of His people from Egypt) and, fifty days later, the feast of Shavuot (which had also become a feast for the reception of the Torah on Mount Sinai).
Yes, it was the Lord’s doing that many should be present to witness the Apostle’s reception of the Life-giving Spirit and the commencement of the spiritual establishment of the body of Christ, empowered to renew the face ofthe earth tainted by original sin. Thus, those reborn in Spirit will no longer suffer from the pains of original sin because our mortal bodies now can have life here on earth and in eternal glory through the Lord’sSpirit in us, as noted by St Paul in today’s second reading.
St Paul also says that the Spirit enables us to cry ‘Abba! Father!’ That is, to have a personal relationship with the Lord and, like the Psalmist, to bless and rejoice in the Name of the Lord, especially for the wonder of being recreated in His Spirit and what He hopes to achieve with us.
Therefore, guided, comforted, and counselled by the Parakletos, our Lord Jesus says in today’s gospel that we canuphold His commands, love God, and assist in increasing the household of lovers of God and His people. Thus, as Easter concludes with Pentecost, we are urged to call on and collaborate with the Holy Spirit in reviving God’s love, imparting His trustworthiness, establishing His peace, demonstrating kindness, and nurturing hope for a glorious tomorrow.
(Acts 7:55-60; Ps 96; Revelation Apoc. 22:12-14,16-17,20; John 17:20-26)
Theme: Committed to the Service of the Lord
On Easter Sunday, we all renewed our promises to be with and serve the Lord. We reaffirmed our commitment to remain in His love, to listen, follow, obey, and actualise His commands and teachings. During these Sundays of Easter, we have heard gospel messages that strengthen our faith and inspire us to uphold mercy, true love, obedience, and seek God’s glory.
We have now reached the climax of the Easter message based on the Gospel of John, where our Lord Jesus declared that His Hour had come and interceded for us before HisFather. Thus, He prayed for His Apostles and prayed for us, “those who have come to believe in His word”, that we may be one with Him, glorified in Him, and loved until we are eternally glorified.
Yes, the Lord has secured our past, present, and future, and has indeed blessed us. However, our work for salvation is only just beginning; although the Lord has cleansed ourhearts and minds, and the hearts and minds of all people on earth, our task is to continually come to the Lord and lead others to the streams of living water, which must be shared freely.
It is, therefore, our mission to offer them the Gospel of mercy and love, which prompts our daily return to the Lord; thegospel message of obedience and faithfulness through which we are shaped to become upright and just; and the gospel of hope and trust that enables us to forgive, as Stephen did his persecutors. The gospel empowers us to seek the glory that aligns us against cruelty and aggression and to remain steadfast in anticipation of our reception of the joy, success, and eternal happiness promised to those whoheard and stand before the Spirit and the Bride.
If we have not heeded the call of the Spirit and the Bride; if we have not invited our friends, brothers, and sisters, to our Lord, the I AM, Alpha, Omega, the First, the Last, the Beginning and the End, we are called to note that wewere specially created for our Lord; hence let us imitate St. Stephen, St. John, and our Lord Jesus in turning our hearts to the Father in prayer.
First, let us seek a renewal of His Spirit, requesting the grace to participate in revealing the glorious presence of our Lord, and let us pray in hope that our service will enable us to behold God’s glory.
THE ASCENSION OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST
(Acts 1:1-11; Ps 47(46); Hebrews 9:24-28; 10:19-23; Luke 24:46-53)
Theme: Not a Physical Ascent, But an Entry into God’s Dominion Over All Things.
Let us join the Psalmist of this day’s celebration in saying, “All peoples … cry to God with shouts of joy; sing praise for God, sing praises to our king, sing praises;” for we believe that the Lord has gone up, taken out in a cloud, carried up toand rightly seated in the heavenly places with shouts of joy and trumpet blast.
6TH SUNDAY OF EASTER YEAR C (2025)
(Acts 15:1-2,22-29; Psalm 66(67); Apocalypse 21:10-14,22-23; John 14:23-29)
Theme: The Mission of a Hearer and Keeper of His Word
As true believers, hearers of God’s word, and bearers of His love, we are called to proclaim the universal reverence of the Lord by persistently acknowledging that our existence and positions in the world are blessings and manifestations of the overflowing love of God gained through our Lord Jesus’ sacrificial love, for which we give thanks in the Eucharist.
See the attached text.
FIFTH SUNDAY OF EASTER, YEAR C
(Acts 14:21b-27; Ps 145(144); Revelation 21:1-5a; John 13:31-33a, 34-35)
Theme: Glorifying the Lord Glorified in His Word and Sacrificial Love
This Sunday, we are invited to glorify the Lord for restoring us to the image of God and enabling us to participate in His glory, as manifested in the exaltation of our Lord Jesus Christ, in whom the Father was glorified and whom the Father glorified on the cross, a symbol of the most dreadful andhumiliating form of capital punishment of His time. Thus, through Him, men and women were liberated, God’s unending love was bestowed, and all things were made new.
FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER, YEAR C, 2025
(Acts 13:14, 43 b-52; Ps 100(99):1-2. 3. 5.; Revelation 7:9, 13a, 14b-17; John 10:27-30)
Theme: Listen, Follow His Voice to the Gathering of Peoples
The advancement of communication technology has made the spread of God’s word easier; hence, “the import of God’s word has increased, from which the sheep of God’s flock is born, by which she lives, and upon which it is built.” (Post-Synodal Apos. Exhortation, Benedict XVI).
THIRD SUNDAY OF EASTER
(Acts 5:27b-32, 40b-41; Psalm 30(29); Revelation 5:11-14; John 21:1-19)
Theme: He Can, He Will, He Wants to Transform Us
SECOND SUNDAY OF EASTER (Divine Mercy Sunday)
(Acts 5:12-16; Ps 118(117); Revelation 1:9-11a, 12-13, 17-19; John 20:19-31)
Theme: Divine Mercy Sunday through the Lens of Pope Francis
Our Papa Francis has returned to his LORD, for whom Hewas Vicarius Christi. We believe and pray that the Lord will shower His mercies upon him and grant him rest in HisKingdom.
Assured by our sense of faith, we dare say that He isalready before the Lord, and that our Lord Jesus will be merciful because not only were we satisfactorily atoned for by His redemptive sacrifice and price, but His Resurrection has also restored divine filiation with God and rekindled our Resurrection faith in the Cornerstone. Moreover, our hope has arisen and endures; hence, we are certain that salvation is assured to those who work for and live in the name of the Lord.
FIFTH SUNDAY OF LENT, YEAR C
(Isaiah 43:16-21; Ps 126(125); Philippians 3:8-14; John 8:1-11)
Theme: Return and Behold the Mercy of God
We are called today to behold the mercy of the Lord, embody His power of conciliation, heed His Spirit of emancipation, and draw strength from His unending promises given to those who are returning to Him, those who have given and contemplate giving their hearts to Him, and those who strive to be like Christ and to be found in Him.
Today’s Psalmist says our mouths will be filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy, and our tearful sowing will be reaped with songs of praise. Thus, let us behold our Father, who has made it known through Christ, who secured our propitiation on the cross, that He wants us to be vivified in Christ.
Therefore, we must continue to pursue true conciliationand share its benefits, for our Lord Jesus has createda path through the cross where none seemed possible. The Pharisees obstructed the flow of mercy toward the woman caught in adultery, but our Lord Jesus opened the way. Thus, amid our busy lives, the burden of paying bills, the pains caused by selfish leaders, and the confusion brought about by life’s twists and turns, the Lord has promised to guide us.
Like our Lord Jesus, who stripped Himself – not of the Godhead but of His glory – taking on human nature for our salvation, St. Paul encourages us in today’s second reading to let go of the things that prevent us from accepting the surpassing knowledge ofknowing our Lord.
In fact, for the immense value of granting us mercy and restoring us to grace, He paid the ultimate price for our emancipation. In other words, for a brief moment, for our sake, He did not think of His equality with God as something to cling to; He faithfully and powerfully took on the form of a slave, hence, offering us an opportunity to start all over, to become children of God, and learn from our past mistakes.
Thus, that is the great deed the Lord accomplished forus, for which we must offer not a holocaust or sacrifice, but an open ear and a repentant heart, for the Lord delights more in obedience to His voice and in assisting those who are sowing in tears around us. Like the woman in today’s Gospel, let us approach the Lord in silence, praising, adoring, blessing, and upholding the Lord’s Name. We must also create opportunities for others to attain happiness and peace in this world.

Like God's people in the day of the prophet Ezekiel, we have rebelled against the Lord. We find it hard to listen and follow God's way. Man's thoughts, ideas, and designs have become the only way, leaving no room for faith or God's true word and designs. As a result, we are almost locked in man's horizontal dimension.
Therefore, like St. Paul, we are constantly grappling with the thorns in our lives. Some of us are in a constant battle to overcome those pains, temptations, and life distractions. Others, unfortunately, have succumbed to the influence of the angel or Satan, giving up the fight against their Achilles' heels and losing interest in the Lord's gospel of life. But we must remember that those struggles are meant to strengthen us.
Although the Lord permits us to be tempted and is aware that we have weaknesses that humble us and make us dependent on His grace, He expects us to pray and to use the graces given for self-upliftment and enlightenment. Even when life becomes weak and weakness invades our bones, we are expected to wait in communion with the Lord.
However, like the people of Nazareth in today's gospel, we often refuse to listen to the Lord and follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit. We are stuck in our ways, stuck in unbelief, and unwilling to endure or bear our sufferings, which are sometimes sent to teach us to pray, to help us to pray, and to remind us that we must call on the Lord's name. But sometimes we fail to pray. We fail to call on the Lord's name. In fact, some have stopped praying because they have succumbed to the assailment of their pains and the thoughts of a distant God who cares less for His people.
But the psalmist reminds us today that our eyes must be on the Lord until He shows us His mercy. The Lord has always shown us His mercies, either when He denies us our request in love for a greater good, or when He permits us to suffer in order to empower us with the spirit of endurance, patience, trust, and hope in Him. And so, my brothers and sisters, we must have faith and trust in the Lord in times of rebellion, struggle, and temptation.
It is our unwavering faith and trust in the Lord that will guide us, reassure us, and comfort us. Let us hold on to Him, our Lord. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Our Lady Sister Muslim prayed for us. He says to us through St. Paul today, My grace.

Welcome, my brothers and sisters, to this week's reflection on the readings for the solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, celebrated on the 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year B. Our first reading is taken from Acts of the Apostles, chapter 12, verses 1 to 11. The Psalm for this Sunday is Psalm 34. The second reading is from St. Paul's second letter to Timothy, chapter 4, verses 6 to 8 and 17 to 18. The Gospel reading is from St. Matthew's Gospel, chapter 16.
Today, we celebrate the feast of two unlikely and unique apostles of the first century: Simon the fisherman, renamed Peter, and Saul the persecutor of Christians, renamed Paul. Despite their pasts, both were transformed by the Holy Spirit into pillars of the early Church. Peter, who denied Jesus, and Paul, who persecuted Christians, were chosen and empowered to spread the message of mercy, love, and peace.
Their lives, poured out as a libation to the glory of God, serve as powerful examples of transformation and mission. Bishop Robert Barron describes Peter and Paul as elements of order and mission, representing the Church's energy, impetus, and life. We, too, are beneficiaries of their legacy, rescued from sin and death, and nurtured in God's mystical body.
Our task today is to look towards the Lord and help our brothers and sisters do the same. We must remain hopeful that the Lord will aid us in rebuilding a society of unity and peace, using our gifts to rescue and support those in need. As we commemorate Saints Peter and Paul, let us also pray for Pope Francis, Peter's successor, that he may continue to lead with strength and peace.
May the Lord bless us all and continue to use us for greater things to His glory. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Our Lady Seat of Wisdom, pray for us.

He Pents Up Our Storms

AI's Summary
Glory, glory, glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Welcome, my brothers, my sisters, to what is the message of the Lord. We are reflecting on the readings for the 12th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year B.
The first reading will be taken from the book of Jude chapter 38 verse 1 verses 8 to 11. Our psalm for this Sunday is Psalm 107. The second reading will be taken from the second letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians chapter 5 verses 14 to 17. The Gospel reading will be taken from St. Mark's Gospel chapter 4 verses 35 to 41.
The theme of our reflection this Sunday is, "He Calms Our Storms."
Who among us has successfully, without a scratch, navigated the mighty waters of life, space, and time, roiled by our own vices, frailties, and transgressions against the Lord? Who then can boast that they have the power to rescue us from the stormy waters of regret, adversity, pain, and the myriad worries of life? Is it the great philosophers, the celebrities, the positivists, or the mind readers?
The tempestuous nature of life's storms, whether financial, relational, or spiritual, has made it difficult, if not impossible, for human figures and powers to rescue us from our distress because we are all surrounded by death's pangs. We are all victims of the underworld. In other words, my brothers, my sisters, we are all sufferers of the fear of the floods of the ungodly and the snares of death. Hence, human figures, successes, and powers cannot lead or grant us the haven of calm and peace we desire in life.
There are many things in life we cannot control. Thus, that haven or calm can only be granted by Him whose love overwhelms us. And because we live for the Sovereign Lord with power over the winds and seas, our safety, success, and wellness belong to Him. The book of Proverbs chapter 21 verse 31 reminds us, "The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory and deliverance rests with the Lord."
However, my brothers, my sisters, the reality of today's human condition makes us wonder whether the Lord is interested in rebuking our winds of pain and calming our worries. Nonetheless, anyone truly in Christ knows that the Lord is also on board our flight to success and happiness. Although our Lord sits in our hearts and consciences as a quiet observer, He knows when we cry. He is aware of our doubts. He knows we are approaching our breaking point.
Hence, we must not panic or lose control of life. Rather, let us cry out to the Lord, especially when life makes praying impossible. Let us also learn to relax and stay positive before the Lord in adoration, because the Lord is always at work amid our storms. His time is glorious and His time is beautiful. In His time, the Lord will turn things around. Let us remain hopeful amid the storms of life. May the Lord grant us the strength and courage to remain focused on Him.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Our Lady, Seat of Wisdom, pray for us. St. Michael the Archangel, pray for us.

Glory, glory, glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Welcome, my brothers and sisters, to what is the message of the Lord. We thank the Lord for granting us a new Sunday. We are reflecting on the readings for the 11th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year B. The first reading will be taken from the prophet Ezekiel 17, 22-24. Our psalm for this Sunday is Psalm 92. The Second reading will be taken from St. Paul's second letter to the Corinthians.
My brothers, my sisters, the first reading's allegorical passage from the prophet Ezekiel, the second reading's metaphorical verses from St. Paul's letter to the Corinthians, and St. Mark's gospel account remind us of God's kingdom and why we must be partakers of that kingdom if we are not. Having been evangelized and catechized, we can all testify as a community of faith that our Lord Jesus has undone and is undoing the enemy's work in our world today. He has planted and continues to nurture God's kingdom here on earth through the salvific actions of the church.
Furthermore, our Lord has made us God's people and constantly offers us the necessary graces to flourish and bear fruits that will last and lead us to his heavenly kingdom. Having witnessed its enduring character, my brothers and sisters, we can also say without hesitation that our Lord's kingdom revealed in his pilgrim church where God's will is being done daily is God's everlasting establishment monitored and nurtured by him. Hence, we can rest assured that there is no wrong in him, our Lord himself. He is ever faithful. He is our constant ally. His power is permanent, and our alliance with the Lord will surpass our moments of pain, our moments of trouble, and our confused moments. Our partnership with the Lord will surely overcome those moments of hardship.
And so, based on that confidence in the Lord, if we are intent on pleasing Him, giving Him thanks at this hour, rising from that failure, healing the broken hearts of our loved ones if we are intent on rejecting our bad habits, injecting a positive vibe in our families and communities, and if we are intent on proclaiming and blessing constantly the goodness of the Lord, then we must not just be passive observers. We must actively renew our agreement with the Lord, plant with Him, nurture our gifts, and transform lives with Him. We are not just recipients of God's grace but active participants in His kingdom. Those are citizens of God's kingdom and co-workers in God's church.
We have work to do. We are not just workers but messengers, stewards, and servants of God. Our work is not just a job but a mission; no one is too young to partake in that mission. And so, whatever mission we undertake for the good of our families, communities, and friends must be centred on Christ, for He alone guarantees our successes and transforms our failures.
Therefore, in the face of opposition, headaches, and troubles in our world, my brothers and sisters must remain faithful to God's work and steadfast in prayer. If you are a parent, remain faithful. If you are a husband, remain faithful. A wife, remain faithful. If you are a leader, remain faithful to your citizens. Remain faithful to the one who sent you and those who elected you. If you are a minister, please, we must remain faithful to our promises and vows to the Lord. And the Lord, in his infinite mercy, will always come to perfect the work of our hands. May the name of the Lord be praised now and forevermore.
Our Lady, Sister of Wisdom, pray for us. Saint Michael the Archangel, pray for us.

One With the Lord Enjoys Mercy and Victory

AI Summary
Glory, glory, glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
Welcome, my brothers and sisters, to this inspiring message from Father Anthony Uche as we reflect on the readings for the 10th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year B.
The first reading is taken from the Book of Genesis, chapter 3, verses 9 to 15. Our psalm for this Sunday is Psalm 130. The second reading is from St. Paul's second letter to the Corinthians, chapter 4, verse 13 to chapter 5, verse 1. The Gospel reading is from St. Mark's Gospel, chapter 3, verses 20 to 35.
The theme of our reflection is, "One with the Lord enjoys mercy and victory."
The psalmist today rightly says that with the Lord, there is fullness of mercy and redemption. We must not be afraid to ask the Lord for the forgiveness of our sins and the strengthening of our relationship with Him. The Lord's question, "Where are you?" in today's first reading, shows God's concern for His people and His readiness to lead those who cry out to Him from the valley of darkness to the mountain of illumined truth and love.
However, we must ask ourselves, are we longing to attain and yearning to remain within the realm of illumined truth and love? Adam and Eve were sent packing from Eden not only for acting against the Lord's injunction but also for trying to play God, unwilling to stay within the parameters of God's divine and revealed truth and love.
Today's world is chaotic because some people believe they have the power to erase the universal and eternal commands of the Creator. True believers, however, listen to God's voice, praying and seeking day and night to attain the illumined mercy, truth, and love of our Lord. The work of God in our hearts and lives cannot be undone by any man or woman.
In today's second reading, St. Paul urges us to uphold our faith in our Lord Jesus, by which we are renewed and able to reject those voices that seek to undo God's work of unity, love, and peace in our families and communities. We must strengthen our faith through prayer, adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, studying the scriptures, and doing good to others. These exercises of faith empower us to discern and discover the tricks of the tempters who aim to destroy the work of God.
Like the relatives of our Lord Jesus and the scribes in today's Gospel reading, we have people and forces in our midst constantly planning and scheming to override the gifts of life, inclusion, and equality in our communities. We must be spiritually prepared for these battles. We must come out of our comfort zones and allow the Lord to change our attitudes if we desire to do His will and win the battles of life.
We must not be afraid of following the Lord because He is the stronger man in today's Gospel and will always be the stronger force who fights with us against the enemies of truth, love, justice, inclusion, and equality. He is the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Let us long for the Lord day and night and ask Him for His mercy and help.

AI Summary
Welcome, my brothers and sisters, to another enlightening message of the Lord by Father Anthony Uche. In this episode, we reflect on the readings for the Solemnity of the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus, also known as Corpus Christi.
We begin with the first reading taken from the book of Exodus, chapter 24, verses 3 to 8, followed by Psalm 40 and Psalm 116. The second reading is from the letter to the Hebrews, chapter 9, verses 11 to 15. The Gospel reading is from St. Mark's Gospel, chapter 14, verses 12 to 16, and 22 to 26. The theme of our reflection this Sunday is "Corpus Christi: The Fruit of the New Covenant."
Father Anthony delves into the significance of the old law and the new covenant, both sealed with the Lord's life-giving and purifying symbol, reminding us of our communion with God. He contrasts the old law, which required the yearly use of the blood of bulls for priestly and community cleansing, with the ultimate sacrifice of our Lord Jesus, who offered Himself for humanity's salvation.
In the second reading, we are reminded that Jesus is the High Priest who entered the sanctuary not with the blood of goats and bulls, but with His own blood, winning eternal redemption for us. As both priest and victim, Jesus instituted a memorial sacrifice on Holy Thursday, commemorating the new Passover from death to life, and the new covenant of love ratified on Good Friday.
Father Anthony emphasizes the importance of preparing ourselves for the reception of the Eucharist. Our behaviors and attitudes must align with the sacredness of the Lord's presence within us. Any unbecoming actions or thoughts can desecrate this sacred space and cause us to miss out on God's blessings and intervention.
The episode concludes with a call to surrender completely to the Lord, to receive His goodness, mercy, love, protection, companionship, and consolation. As we partake in the Eucharist, may the Lord strengthen our resolve to follow Him and uphold us in all that we do, sealing us in His love.
In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Our Lady Seat of Wisdom, pray for us. St. Michael the Archangel, pray for us.

A1 Summary of Pentecost Sunday
Welcome to this powerful message by Father Anthony Uche, where we discuss the pervasive influence of the Holy Spirit, as we mark the Feast of Pentecost. In this reflection, we primarily draw from readings of the Bible, including the Acts of the Apostles, St. Paul's letter to the Galatians, and St. John's Gospel.
Throughout the discourse, we delve into the profound significance of the Pentecost - from its roots in Jewish culture, as a day marking the reception of the Torah on Mount Sinai, to its embodiment in the Christian faith as a day of divine intervention and renewal. We explore the transformative effect of the Holy Spirit on the apostles and how this laid the groundwork for the faith we uphold today.
Our faith urges us to love God above all else, shed our self-indulgent behaviors and attitudes, and to embrace a life of truth and spirit through Christ. As we commemorate our consecration in truth on Pentecost, we are reminded of our crucial role in upholding unity, peace, love, and the perpetual growth of God's work.
We conclude with a prayer invoking the strength of the Holy Spirit in our mission to remain pure in our mission of propagating God's redeeming salvation. May Our Lady's Seat of Wisdom and Saint Michael the Archangel intercede for us, and may the Lord who made heaven and earth be our unwavering help.

Welcome to "What is the Message of the Lord" by Fr. Anthony Uche. In this episode, we reflect on the readings for the seventh Sunday of Easter, offering deep insights into God's abiding presence, love, and mercy.
We dive into Acts of the Apostles 1:15-17, 20-26, Psalm 103, 1 John 4:11-16, and St. John's Gospel 17:11-19. The central theme revolves around the belief that our Lord Jesus ascends, but His Eucharistic presence never departs from us. He sets his sway in heaven but rules the earth, displaying His love through the works of His enduring presence.
Our reflections underscore the crucial need to acknowledge the Lord's undying love and mercy. We should remain humble, offer gratitude, and strive to live daily in God's presence. It's a call to change attitudes, seek wisdom to fulfil our roles within the body of Christ and share the fruits of the Lord's presence with others.
Philippians 4:11-16 motivates us to uphold love and peace in our communities and families. That love should be generous and sincere, forgiving when peace calls, and letting go when humility demands. It's reinforcement that we should shield our communities from evil and believe in our capacity to overcome as our help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth.
Join us in this episode as we pray for wisdom, love, peace, and humility - to navigate life's challenges, knowing that our Lord Jesus has sway in heaven, but His kingdom rules the earth.

A Summary of the text
Join Father Anthony Uche as he guides listeners through a profound reflection on the Ascension of our Lord Jesus. Drawing from scriptural readings, his insights delve deep into the incredible mystery of Jesus' transition from our temporal world into the eternal realm.
The first reading comes from Acts of the Apostles, chapter 1, verses 1 to 11, followed by the soothing words of Psalm 47. Our day's exploration continues with St. Paul's letter to the Ephesians and concludes with a gospel reading from St. Mark's gospel, chapter 16, verses 15 to 20.
Our focus is to comprehend the profound mystery of Jesus' Ascension - His departure into an eternal order of life and communion with God the Father and the Holy Spirit. This transition does not mark an end but a glorious beginning, realigning him closer to us and free to extend his divine care. Despite his ascension, his presence remains unshakeable among us, guiding, caring, and preparing us for an eternal life that he promises.
We are not simple spectators in this divine communion, but active contributors, united wholesomely with our ascended Lord and Savior. As partakers of his eternal sacrifice, we witness his marvellous deeds and radiate his divine news through our words and actions. Always remember, we are the citizens of Heaven and hold within us the power and gifts to build a dynamic Christ's body on Earth. This unity ushers peace in our lives and the world while we wait his return in glory.
As Father Anthony concludes, let us continue to rejoice in the knowledge that our Lord Jesus is always with us, guiding us in love. May these prophetic insights bless and inspire you and fortify your faith journey in the light of the Ascension.

AI Summary
This podcast episode dives into the readings and solemn reflections associated with Good Friday, focusing on the prevailing theme of 'Victorious Death and Confident Life'. The session begins with readings from the scriptures, notably Isaiah 52.13-53.12, Psalm 31, Hebrews chapters 4 and 5, and the Gospel according to St. John.
The core of our reflection centers on the triumphant death and assured life. Drawing from sacred scripture, we recognize the prophetic suffering servant - our Lord Jesus Christ, who endured the crucifixion on Good Friday, embodying our human weaknesses and temptations yet remained without sin. His ultimate sacrifice brings about our salvation.
As the children of God, we concede with deep reverence that our Lord Jesus died for us. Yet, we take solace and find confidence in the knowledge that our savior, scorned and rejected by men, maltreated and sneered at by the crowd, led like a lamb to the slaughter, holds the keys to our mercy and deliverance.
Turning to our own existence, we interpret Jesus Christ not as a stumbling block but as the avenue to bliss, the unwavering truth that overturns ungodly forces, and the source of life that empowers us to endure worldly challenges while promising eternal joy and hope.
The reflections implore believers to renew their faith in Jesus Christ, seek refuge in His mercy, and confidently secure their place in the kingdom of God. While life can be difficult, believers are urged to hold steadfast to their faith, acknowledging that salvation is found exclusively in Christ. It sheds light on Christ's role as a Socratic exemplar who, upon the cross, offers a path to salvation and freedom.
Delving into the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas, the compelling reflection affirms Christ's vital role in liberating mankind from the shackles of sin, exposing the mortality of human nature, eradicating the fear of death, and instructing humanity in overcoming vice.
The episode concludes with an empowering call to join in the veneration of the sinless victor on the cross, who conquered sin and death, guiding us to achieve true happiness in this world and the next. Amen.

Summary of the Text
Welcome, my brothers and sisters, to the reflective teachings of Father Anthony Uche on the readings for the fifth Sunday of Lent year B. This episode is centered around the life-altering hour when our Lord Jesus submitted Himself for glorification in suffering and death. That particular hour represents the fulfillment of the lasting new covenant prophesied in Jeremiah and reiterated in our readings today.
This humbling act established us as God's people and turned our hearts into an abode of love, mercy, kindness, and peace. We were liberated from the shackles of sin through the salvific blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, who presented Himself as the enduring source of our salvation.
We are reminded of the reverence and adoration we owe our Lord Jesus, who sacrificed His life for our salvation. As we stumble in sin, we are called to seek His mercy and the renewal and purification of our hearts earnestly.
Unlike the Greeks in today's Gospel, our request to see God has been ratified through our Lord's eternal sacrifice. Infused with the Spirit of God, we are better equipped to withstand life's sufferings and horrors such as racial attacks, kidnappings, and unjust killings of loved ones. Transformed into disciples of God, we are given the strength to embrace the cost of discipleship and the courage to bear our crosses.
As we serve God and His people, the Lord assures us of His honor and blessings. It is His promise to be with us until the end of time. May his blessings and peace abound, through the intercession of our Mother Mary, In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

AI Summary of today's Message
"Embracing Holiness: Love God, Love Neighbor," a spiritual reflection by Fr. Anthony Uche.
In this episode, we dive into the Scriptures of the first week of Lent, drawing from the book of Leviticus, Psalm 19, and St. Matthew's Gospel. Join Fr. Anthony Uche as he leads us through the exploration of a fundamental truth - the intertwining essence of our love for God and our love of our neighbors. Our journey towards Holiness begins here.
Fr. Anthony prays that his words and thoughtful reflections on scriptures will bring us closer to God, Our Rescuer and Rock. Delving into the first reading, we are invited to heed the Lord's calling through Moses, to be holy, just like He is. As children of God, the quest for holiness is inherent in us. It's like a thirst that we yearn to satisfy. Fr. Anthony beautifully illustrates this using Psalm 63.
Moving forward, he urges everyone to understand that our call to holiness is intensely rooted in love - love for God and love for our brethrens. Having built our desires for the Lord through prayers, self-denials, and alms giving, we are encouraged to extend this love to our neighbors without distinction or preference. We are called upon to share this Godly love. Notable reference is made to Elder St. John's letter iterating that loving God and loving our neighbors are inseparable expressions of God's selfless and sacrificial nature.
In conclusion, we are reminded that our acts of love towards the needy will significantly contribute to our final judgement. Feeding the hungry, quenching the thirsty, welcoming immigrants, housing the homeless, and visiting the sick or incarcerated are acts of worship situated in the love of Christ. Fr. Anthony concludes that holiness is fully realized not just when we show charity, but when our integrity and relationship with others are secured and motivated by Christ's love.

Summary of the Message
Welcome to 'The Message of the Lord' with Father Anthony Uche. In this episode, we delve into the readings for the first Sunday of Lent, Year B, from the book of Genesis, Psalm 25, the first letter of Saint Peter, and the Gospel of Saint Mark. The theme of our reflection today is "Tempted But Not Harmed".
Our journey through the 40-day spiritual season of Lent starts with Ash Wednesday, a period for more intense prayer, self-searching, reconciliation, self-denial, and sharing of blessings.
St. Peter in our second reading today reminds us that our Lord Jesus, despite being led by the Holy Spirit into the desert after his baptism at the River Jordan, battled against Satan's troubling voices - and emerged victorious. He turned the tide for us, overturning Satan's victory in the Garden of Eden and opening the door to the sacraments that lead to God.
We ourselves are in a similar battle against those voices and spirits that do not lead us to God. Our challenges, our struggles, today, are God's battles and God's worries. However, in Christ, we are assured of victory over our own personal battles.
During these trials that we face, let us not lament but rather rediscover who we are and where we are with God. The Lord will reveal the truth about our being and present a path to true life and happiness.
Lastly, as we await God's intervention while we navigate life's challenges, let's remember the symbol of the rainbow in our reading from Genesis - that God will never give up on us. So, in the name of Jesus, pray with us for victory over temptations and for our battles to not result in harm.
Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. Pray for us, our Lady Seat of Wisdom; pray for us, St. Michael the Archangel. In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
In this episode, we dive into Father Anthony Uche’s enlightening exploration of the message of the Lord in an episode titled, ‘Embracing Healing and Restoration: A Reflection on the 6th Sunday in Ordinary Time Year B.’ Delving into various biblical texts, including Leviticus 13, Psalm 32, First Corinthians 10.31-11.1, and St. Mark’s Gospel 1.40-45, we discuss the theme of healing and restoration in our individual and collective lives.
We begin by reflecting on our broken world and the need for humanity to undergo a spiritual makeover. We identify the traps of evil and the need for God’s reign to reinforce our lives. The transformational power of healing, as demonstrated in the story of the leprous healing in the Gospel, is vividly contrasted with our broken world and the steps to repair it.
As we proceed, we explore the process of understanding and identifying the causes of our fragmentations, using the leper’s experience as an analogy. We delve into the Jewish law on purity and dive deeper into the healing encounter between the leper and Jesus, establishing the transformative power of Jesus’ touch that not only heals but reintegrates individuals into community and family life.
The closing sections encourage us to present our fragmented parts to the Lord and seek His mercy, healing words, and touch. It concludes with a call to action urging us to touch others with compassion and love, helping them regain trust in the Lord, and renewing our love for God by strengthening others. Our listener is taken on an exceptional journey of resilience and faith, empowering them to face their challenges, big and small.
