Navigating Early is a hybrid realistic fiction-fantasy book about two boys, who go on a journey on the Appalachian Trail. They meet some very unusual people and also find things that they never knew about themselves and the world around them. This book is amazing and I highly recommend it to readers 10 and up because it can be a bit emotional.
Island of Thieves is an action-adventure, novel, written by British author Josh Lacey. It follows a young boy name Tom who accompanies his uncle to a trip to Lima and soon gets caught up in a treasure hunting adventure. This book is intriguing, suspenseful, and funny. I recommend it for ages 8+
Guys Read : Thriller is a collection of stories written by famous authors all around the world but are all related to one thing: suspense. Thriller is a great book and I recommend it for ages 10+ because there can be some violence.
Maizy Chen’s Last Chance is about a girl who goes to Last Chance, Minnesota to take care of her sick grandfather and ends up staying longer than she planned to. She makes good friends and explores ancient secrets in this wonderful novel.
Honestly Elliot is a wonderful book about learning to be yourself. It follows an 11 year old kid named Elliot with ADHD as he learns to navigate his life and his passion for cooking.
Ghost is realistic fiction novel by Jason Reynolds. It’s a great story about a child with a passion for running. It has some violence and scary parts so I recommend it for kids 10 and up.
Stormbreaker is the first book in the Alex Rider series written by Anthony Horowitz. This book is good for kids 10 and up and has plot twists and suspense at every turn.
This week we will be featuring When You Reach Me as our Book of the Week. This award winning book has a unique style that will delight readers ages 9-12
This week for the Young Reader Book Review we’re gonna be reviewing Bomb by Steve Sheinkin. This book is really exciting, really intriguing, and very unique. I think this book is perfect for kids 10 to 14.
The third episode of the Young Reader Book Review features The Maze of Bones which is the first book in the 39 clues series written by Rick Riordan. Cleverly written, humorous, and entertaining, this book is perfect for readers ages nine and up.
In this episode, we will review Fart Quest by Aaron Reynolds. It is a humorous book with lots of adventure and action mixed in. Fart Quest is a great book for all ages.
