We tell stories of the different facets of life from the lenses of a young Kenyan woman, stories of love, life after college, feminism, spirituality, the climate crisis, women rights.....and we occasionally gush over elephants.
We are most definitely not a bones podcast, we marrowly escaped that..
Cheers
"Rejection is redirection", is one phrase that I don't vibe with. If i get rejected, I feel bad about it, sulk and sit in my failures, I give up and when the sun shines on my skin the right way, I try again.
Welcome to my sob story episode, I have lost so many times, I don't know how to act now that I seem to be winning.

Happy New Year!!!I hope you are well in into January, I have missed this space so much. Let's get into it. In this episode we delve into the Prince Harry /royal family drama. We briefly talk toast and avocado and the Taliban. We also also set the tone for how we are moving this year, outrageously delusional. May the lucky girl syndrome be with you through this year. Stay hydrated!!! Cheer!!!

Heeey!! There are very little things to smile about these days, but heeey, we are still showing up!! This episode is me ticking the ''what are you doing about the climate crisis register?" And giving you guys i glimpse into my food print(Is that a thing?lol) I also take on Kenyan politicians and the state of our reproductive rights. We are living the harsh realities of the climate crisis, in all extremes. The conversation around climate change, dictates what is available for us to eat, the quality of our air, it is our very lives and getting to be on the know is very key. Please get your local leaders talking about it. And in this episode I tell you in what small ways I am trying to reduce my carbon foot print, and how weak my nails have gotten(sighs and continues to get stressed about it.)
Have a lovely week ahead. Cheers!!!

Heeeey, we are back from a small break and in this episode I give you a number of tips, that have worked for me in building my professional network and how to actually shoot academic shots. Also I'll tell you about my Physicist friend who happens to be a culinary master and about my short-lived career as a painter.

Merry Christmas **Boners, I legit said that unprovoked. I hope you are well. It's a slow day over on my side, I am even posting Christmas content in May. This episode was an emotional round up of my 2021, and I had my very good friend over, the only emotional action I got was in the last two months of the year, and trust it was A LOT!! Isn't it beautiful that I can't even remember his name now, that is a cue for you and I to live in the moment.
Despite just tackling heterosexual relationships, this platform respects and supports the LGBTQIA+ community, I am so broken that I don't have any representation of relationships across the spectrum, and I just want to say that you can always reach out to me, if you want to tell a story or just chat about your dating experience as a queer person.
Cheers!!

Hey, In this episode, I take up as part of my responsibility to the true crime community to pass a few tips on how to keep safe. The tragic and heart breaking stories of missing persons has become a dreaded but very present evil in our day-to-day lives. Crime Junkie Podcast which is a true crime podcast came up with an 'If I go missing folder..' to help locate you if ever you went missing. Our digital footprints have become so big, and these very prints can help piece a story as we have seen in different investigations. Please take your time to listen to this episode and don't forget to fill in the If I go missing folder(I have attached the link to the crime junkie version of it).
I also talked about the community based and led initiatives that help locate missing persons in Kenya; the Facebook page of the Kenya Missing and Unidentified Persons(KMUPS) and the @MissingChildKe. twitter account are linked below as well. You can donate to this initiatives using official details provided at their different platforms to help them continue to do the great and difficult job of finding missing persons and more specifically children in the case of @MissingChildke. You can help amplify the voice of these initiatives as well by following and retweeting important alerts and information.

Hey All my Bones, I trust you have been well, or you know trying at the least.
It's still a difficult time for the world especially up in Ukraine, sending prayers and love,(it hurts how helpless it feels that there isn't much we can do). I'll link some organizations you can donate to support the people of Ukraine.
This episode is a tad late, I am almost sorry(it won't happen again) again guys I am such an emotional person and I tend to be so affected by the world's problems and that translates into my work as well. I need to set some boundaries with this side of the earth(deep exhausted sighs).

Okay now, you can google wtf a pangolin is...Is there a proper way to get over the sadness that creeps in on Sunday afternoons? This episode is an attempt at interviewing myself. I time travelled, and you know what, you will be okay. You asked(well I asked) and we delivered, here is the next Bones Podcast guest, in the spirit of Valentine's day, we talk love and relationship. We had quite the conversation on different aspects of a relationship, dating (and does dating multiple people at a go equate to cheating), we also talked about friends in relationships and some how managed to drag a one-year old into our talk. Enjoy and don't forget to leave us a message. Happy Valentine's Day in advance. Cheers!!
p.s the surprise thing is just in the next episode(heavy winks).

Happy New Month All my Bones, and welcome to Season 2 of our Podcast. Ready to delve into everything love, relationships and Lord of the rings. that latter part, not so much, but enough to keep us from forgetting how gorgeous Gandalf is. I introduce the new season and I get into the love business, don't mind me I'm just as good as you are, totally clueless on the love and whatnot business. Are you among those folks that find their soul mates in college, what in the name of Cupid did you pray for? I have the excuse of saying that at least I knew my course mates(albeit the faces not names) and I didn't necessarily bag me a 'happily ever after'. I'm also taking this time to let you know that Lewis Hamilton is back!!!!

In this episode we talk validation, how much validation affects our daily lives. Seeking approval for things we do is such a natural thing, but is it really necessary? How do you navigate through your life in absence of validation from external faces. I know, i know it's very hard to continue to do and believe in things that people don't seem to get or agree with, but what happens in the absence of this approval, how much can self affirmation push us?

I often muse about the friendship between the sea and the palm trees. What are young snakes, snakelets? This episode is the happiest one i have done yet. I catch you up with my life musings. I'll tell you why you need to talk to a toddler and maybe why you should consider becoming a buffalo. Does the same sun out in San Diego still the one that shine over Nairobi. If ever you need a pick me up, this episode is it. Cheers!!

On this episode, we delve into the previously proposed Reproductive Healthcare act 2019 by Senator Susan Kihika, and we get down to its particulars, and why there's a need for this act of parliament. We debunk the narrative that motherhood is the crowning of all womanhood. Wehave a first book club meeting, that actually lasts so short you won't mind it.
Cheers

Hey Bones, I'll definitely find a better name for you lovelies, I have always wondered about my role in the climate crisis, and the intersection of this crisis, that is already with us, with the subject of human rights. In this episode we delve into that and I tell you of a vegan bulldog.

In this episode I share a conversation I had with one of the many people I look up to (Trisha Shetty), of some details I have found helpful in my journey as a feminist. A disclaimer is that I am not an educator, this talk is a compilation of my thoughts and my take on things as a learning and at times struggling feminist. Thanks , and do engage with us, leave us a comment , on whichever platform you get your podcast from and on our Instagram page too. Cheers!!

In this episode I let you in on a secret theory of the workings of my white blood cells, It is very serious business, wear your thinking caps into this one. I have so much time on my hands I tried a hand at being a eulogy critic, like how low can I go, very low I tell you, to ensure that we all embrace the idea of life and our lives and all that we have to offer. This episode focusses on how we handle grief and loss, and how we celebrate our loved ones who have departed from this world, It's not a manual of do's and don'ts but a conversation of grace, love and resilience(of some kind). We talk of Janet Bett Karoney( The lady whose eulogy went viral because she wrote it herself) and a couple other things...white blood cells. Cheers!!

First off, apologies for the background noise, I really tried to work off of this episode but you know kids, even a software can't seem to know what to do with them. Today we talk FOMO, and I tell you guys about my 'Kipchoge' days, a whole runner and a track star, I can't even keep a straight face typing this. In this episode I talk what it feels like to see people doing things you thought you ought to be doing(turning to a grammar lesson guys) please dive in and send messages to our instagram @allmybonespodcast if either of those things resonate with you , tell me what FOMO got you doing or are you a staunch member of the JOMO, those that take pleasure in missing out. Cheers.
