We discuss at what causes culture and creativity to evolve, the role of each in understanding humanity, and the requirements for a society most hospitable to human nature, a dynamic society that embraces - rather than suppresses - creativity. These chapters further discuss the important idea that humans are different than both computers and other animals. We are universal constructors.

In these chapters, the author discusses the role of epistemology (knowledge about knowledge) in open societies, his defense of the multiverse as an explanation for observable quantum mechanical effects, and the role of bad philosophy (philosophy that actively prevents the growth of knowledge) in hindering philosophical and scientific progress. We continue to make the case that this book presents a big tent, under which we can all meet. "The way to converge with each other is to converge upon the truth."
