The Chiefs rolled the Dolphins and advance into a divisional round matchup against an old foe, the Bills of Buffalo. The Bros recap the game and share their personal experiences from attending the coldest game in Arrowhead history, then look to next week and preview the Bills game. The Chiefs bade farewell to the upstart Bengals on Sunday in route to their third Lamar Hunt trophy in the last four years, while punching their ticket to the Superbowl! The Bros are feeling feisty in this week's podcast as they are finally able to unload on the Bengals after the Chiefs' 23-20 victory over Cincinnati. Mahomes had one leg, no WRs, no run game, and still got the job done. Meanwhile Joe Burrow got the ball twice in the 4th quarter with a chance to go win the game and produced a grand total of 0 points. Chris Jones turned in a career-defining performance and reminded the cocky Bengals that Arrowhead is indeed the home of the Chiefs, and no one else. The Bros roast the Bengals and their whiny, ref-blaming fans, give out gameballs, and take many a deep breath after the most stressful, but perhaps ultimately most satisfying, game in the Mahomes era of Chiefs football.
The Chiefs survive and advance in a gritty performance from a clearly hobbled Patrick Mahomes, but will grit be enough to beat the dastardly Bengals?
Super Wildcard Weekend lived up to its name this year. The Bros recap all of the games from Saturday, Sunday, and Monday including a Chargering for the ages and hopefully Old Man Tom's last game. The Raiders disrespectfully held their pregame huddle on the Chiefs' logo and then proceeded to take a dirt nap all afternoon as they got blasted into Oblivion to the tune of 48-9. The Raiders continue to suck and the sun continues to rise in the morning. All is as it should be. The Bros are coming off of a short week and so have a shorter podcast this week. What else is there to say about such a lop-sided beatdown? The Bros discuss the most recent iteration of Raider implosion and how much this game tells us about the state of the Chiefs. They also look forward to the biggest game left on the schedule this season when the Chiefs travel to LA to hopefully cement their division lead against the upstart Chargers. The defense looked like it might be rounding into form, special teams was excellent, and the offense continued to struggle through its mid-season slump.
