This week we had the pleasure of chatting to Jun, owner and chef at Cafe Pomelo, about all things business and food. We discussed the process of opening Cafe Pomelo, the biggest struggles of being a business owner and also the most rewarding parts. We picked Jun’s brain about where the inspiration for Cafe Pomelo came from and what his biggest piece of advice would be for someone thinking about opening their own business!

Of course, we also discussed the food and asked Jun about where he takes inspiration from when developing the menu, who taught him how to cook and what his death row meal would be!

Jun, you are an inspiration and we’re an absolute delight to speak to - thank you so much for coming on this episode!

Watch this space, big things are coming for this guy!

Ps - swipe for some banging food pics, Cafe Pomelo have some pop ups coming up soon so make sure you check out their Instagram page and book in before it’s too late 🍜

Heyyyyy friends, welcome back!

In this episode we revisit our old friend imposter syndrome but look at it through a fresh set of specs. We discuss how social constructs allow many people to believe they have imposter syndrome when they don't necessarily, the negative impacts of hustle culture and the realisation that even those you think most likely to avoid mistakes, likely make them every day!

We also discuss the importance of backing yourself and taking that leap of faith... it could lead to great things.

Before we chat about any of that however, please do enjoy a solid 20 minute catchup on our lives and a good old ramble - it's what we do best.

In today's episode we are lucky to be joined by the lovely Isla to chat about how she finds life being (mostly) social media free. We discuss the pros and cons of life without social media, and Isla gives actionable tips on how to reduce social media time. We also get to hear how living without Instagram has helped Isla to stop seeking validation for her looks from Instagram likes, or from fitting the “instagram aesthetic”. She also explains how ditching the socials allows you to reclaim control not only over your time, but all aspects of your life, including your thoughts and interests. We found this episode super interesting and eye opening - we hope you do too!! - C & A xxx

Hellloooo everyone and Happy Sunday!!

In this week's episode we talk about the things you can do to reclaim yo life! We discuss the concept of time, how we use it, and how we should view it. Each person has an average of 4000 weeks on this planet, but we discuss how this does not mean that you should be feeling stressed to use everyday "productively", but rather doing the things that bring you joy - which we have found it a harder concept to get our head around than you would think!

We also discuss the importance of confidence, and whilst it is not necessarily something that we all have bags of, we can do things every day to help build and maintain our confidence levels.

We hope you enjoy this episode!

Also a massive thanks to everyone who participated in our polls this week - it’s always much appreciated!

Happy Sunday guys!!

Well it is likely that you, like most of us in this weird and wonderful world, suffer from negative bias. In this episode we discuss what exactly negative bias is, where it comes from, how it affects us and lastly how we can overcome it! We hope you enjoy <3

Hellooo everyone,

Today we are Muddling Through the contraceptive pill.

In this episode we discuss the experiences we, and some of our friends have had with the pill and the changes it has made to the way we feel mentally, physically and emotionally. We also discuss the results of the poll that many you kindly voted in. The contraceptive pill can be an amazing thing for many women, and we are so grateful for it, but it can also cause issues for women too and we feel like these should be highlighted and discussed through people's stories so that women can understand some of the trade offs the may be making and have the knowledge to make educated decisions about their health.

Please remember, if you are feeling like you are having adverse side effects, there are always other options to explore and consider!

In our first episode back we Muddle Through Sexual Harassment. We share some of our own experiences with sexual harassment and also discuss the results from our Instagram poll which sadly has provided an all too predictable set of results.

P.S. As always, our Instagram DM’s are always open, and we will also post the details of organisations which can provide support to those who have been subjected to sexual harassment.

Hello and welcome to the first episode of our new podcast, Muddling Through! We're Charlotte and Antonia, two best friends who met at university, became flat mates and have been inseparable ever since. We spend soooo much time having chats about anything and everything so we wanted to create this podcast together.

We chose the name Muddling Through as we believe we can muddle our way through any situation! The road may not always be smooth but we always help each other through sticky situations and we thought we would make this podcast to share our experiences with you guys! Hopefully it makes you see that you are not alone in how you feel.

In this episode we chat about how easy it is to constantly compare yourself to others, and the best ways to deal with it. We also discuss imposter syndrome - what it is, how it affects people, and how to combat it.

We hope you gain a little something from listening
