What does it look like to live a life of Fearless Generosity? Willingness to give to those in need without getting anything in return. Not only that, but to do it openhandedly with confidence in the Lord that everything will turn out just fine. It’s an incredible outpouring of your inward spiritual life and devotion to the Lord.
“Here am I, send me” should probably be the motto of every Christian who desires to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. We’re called to go and tell the world the Good News of Jesus Christ. Why? Because people matter deeply to God, and they should matter deeply to us as well. This is beautifully illustrated by Jesus’ encounter with the woman at the well.
There are plenty of things that we can involve ourselves with because we believe that we’re advancing the cause of Christ. Maybe we are, and maybe we’re not. But following in the footsteps of Jesus with Good News and Good Deeds is the promised way of advancing the cause of Christ. It opens the doors of faith while at the same time, pointing all glory and praise back to God.
God can and often does use many different experiences in life to help us spiritually grow and produce good fruit. However, one thing is for certain. Spiritual growth comes through God’s word (the bible). Through God’s word, the Lord speaks and guides us today.

Healthy spiritual growth should be the pursuit of every follower of Jesus. But how is it pursued and what gains are there to be had? The answers are closer than you might think.
Rarely does anyone gather without a purpose. Even if the purpose is simply to hang out, the gathering still has a purpose. What is the purpose behind a church gathering? The answer may just cause you to rethink what you’ve always thought, and possibly reconsider what you’ve allowed to compete with church!
Hebrews 10:25 says, "Let us not give up meeting together!" Why is that? The list of reasons for why is quite long. Simply put, faithfulness in church attendance helps us grow more like Christ in more ways than one can imagine.
Just like an infant who craves its mother's milk for nourishment and growth, Christians crave the same kind of spiritual growth and nourishment from God's Word. The result is maturity in our faith and a deeper walk with Jesus! We were born to grow!
Psalm 133:1 says, "How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!" How true that is! God loves when individual believers and churches are unified. He describes beautifully how His blessings flow when unity is experienced. So, let us make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
Have you ever felt like you would rather babysit a full gown lion who hasn’t eaten for three days, while you're IN THE CAGE! Rather than say yes to serving. Would it surprise you to find out that you're not alone? This week Pastor Eric from Exodus will lighten your load by revealing that one of the greatest heroes of the Bible felt the same way. From the story of Moses we will see together that God desires our availability over our ability and that He will always be with us as we intentionally say yes to serving Him.
One of the most famous and well-known moments in the bible happens in 1st Samuel 17. With God's help and strength, a young shepherd boy emerges victorious over a mighty warrior. We all have giants we face in our lives as well. Like with young David, we must face our giants. With the strength of the Lord, we too will be victorious!
Jesus lived an intentional life and made an impact as He met people at their point of need. Each one of us is on a journey and God desires to make an impact through us if we will live intentionally. God cares very much how we live our lives. Throughout the Bible, God reveals His point of view concerning our daily walk with Him. How does God want us to live our lives? What is His point of view on this question? The Bible is very clear and answers this question in many places—Perhaps none clearer than Micah 6:8. "And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."
Mr. Rogers made the phrase "Won't you be my neighbor" famous. However, long before Mr. Rogers, the question "Who is my neighbor" was asked of Jesus. The way Jesus answered this specific question teaches us a valuable truth concerning God's point of view on how we are to live our lives.
What is our role in evangelism? Guest speaker, Eric Epperson, uses John 17 to explore how we can make space for others by loving well and speaking truth.
"If you could say in one word what you want more of in life, what would that be?" How do you suppose God might answer this hypothetical question? In reality, the bible clearly tells us what God truly desires. He desires that everyone be saved. The challenge for Christians is this—do we desire it as strongly as God does?
What is God's point of view when it comes to us? How does God view us? These are foundational questions that must be answered if we're going to see things from God's point of view. Starting with the first chapter of the bible (Gen. 1) we begin to see God's point of view clearly about the people He has made.

The resurrection of Jesus was amazing all by itself. However, the fact that Jesus “called his shot” so to speak, before it happened makes it even more incredible! He called it, it happened, and we believe it!
One of the saddest moments in the Old Testament takes place in Exodus 32. The Israelites turn from God and worship an idol. It was the ultimate “stabbed God in the back” moment of the exodus. How Moses dealt with their idolatry is how it should be dealt with today. Idols must be identified, and completely removed from our lives. God and God alone is to be worshiped. Nothing could be clearer from this last message in the Rescued series!

How does God draw near today? In the Old Testament, it was through the tabernacle. Today, we draw near to God through Jesus Christ and through Jesus Christ alone. What God started with the Tabernacle, Jesus finished with the cross. The veil of separation has been torn away and God desires to commune with each of us individually.
When someone says “seal the deal” - we understand that to mean that an agreement has been reached and it’s time to sign the dotted line. In Exodus 23 and 24, God will seal the deal with the Israelites and the Old Covenant was born. A covenant built on trust and obedience. This covenant still has much to teach us today as followers of Christ!
In Exodus chapters 21-24, God will deliver the law. These laws will define the nature of their relationship and clarify how God expects the Israelites to deal with one another. Are these rules from yesterday still in play for Christians today? Pastor Joe unpacks this question and others in our Rescued series.

Clarity between God and the Israelites is what Exodus 19 is about. It’s time to define this relationship (DTR). God is a holy God, and the Israelites are called to be a holy people. Much has changed since the days of the exodus. However, has that much changed concerning the kind of relationship that God desires with His people?
The Israelites have been tested with food and water and now they’ll be tested in battle. Who will they trust, themselves or the Lord? It’s the same question we are confronted with every day. Keep the Lord and His Word raised high and trust the Lord!
“Same song, second verse” could be the phrase easily applied to Exodus chapter 17. The Israelites were still grumbling about their drinking water and still continuing to put God to the test. When are they going to learn? Where the Israelites failed in the wilderness, however, Jesus will succeed. And in doing so, he’ll model for us that he truly is the savior who provides us living water.
Trusting God in everything often takes time to develop. That is certainly the case for the Israelites after their dramatic Red Sea rescue. They must learn to trust God every step of the journey. It is what we must learn too! Every step of life’s journey we trust and seek Him first!

After a 22 year long separation, Joseph is reunited with his father Jacob. It’s a tremendous step towards fulfilling the promise that God made to Abraham about the future of this family. Not only does God rescue Joseph’s family from the famine but God will use an existing prejudice against shepherds in Egypt to prosper this family. At the same time, there are some tremendous lessons for us today about the Good Shepherd.

The sovereignty of God is a reference to God‘s greatness and supremacy. It means that there is nothing that happens in the universe that is outside of God’s influence and authority. This sovereignty is clearly seen in chapters 40 & 41 of Joseph’s story. His sovereignty is also clearly seen in our lives today. The Lord is intricately involved in our lives and that is good news.
Every story has a hero. The book of Genesis is no different. Joseph is that hero, but he doesn’t look the part when we first meet him. The hero of any story is rarely the one who flees. However, that is exactly what Joseph does in our text today and in doing so makes it obvious that God is with him. Have you ever felt like your life was on a downward trajectory? Then Genesis chapter 34 has a message for you. No matter how many times we failed the Lord, we can go home again if we truly repent and obey!
Our society has a knack for labeling. We label everything, including people. If you’ve ever been labeled, then you know how hard it can be to shake it. However, when Jesus comes into your life he gives you a brand new label! Jacob, in Genesis chapter 32 reminds us that when we surrender to God our sins and old identity, then the Lord will make you brand new!
Turning points in life are big deals! It’s a moment of great awareness or a shift in momentum that point us in a new direction. We all have them in life. In Genesis 30 & 31, Jacob will experience a turning point in his life. An awareness that God is not done with him and a new attitude and direction is forged. Perhaps you are about to experience your own turning point.
Today we continue our series Origins and discover that Jacob fled from one unhappy home to find out he has created another. Years of drama, infighting, and jealousy fill their daily lives. Everyone is pursuing what they want with little regard towards what God wants. Genesis 29 & 30 is a good reminder that we need to put God first in everything!
“What goes around comes around” basically means that eventually you get what you deserve. Liars get lied to, thieves get robbed, and deceivers eventually get deceived themselves. All of this is true in our text today, but so is the reality that God has a plan and never gives up on anyone. Join us today as we continue this incredible journey of God’s promise through Abraham’s family.
Sibling rivalry is alive and well in Genesis 25. These twin boys, Jacob and Esau started fighting even while they were growing in their mother's womb. It will follow them into adulthood and provide the world with many examples of how not to be. Above it all, one brother will do the unthinkable and it still serves as an example to us all today that our actions can have severe and irrevocable consequences.
How do you respond when life gets hard? What do you do when your faith is put to the test? Abraham faced the toughest test of his life when God told him to do the unthinkable. What unfolds in Genesis chapter 22 serves as a tremendous example to us today of how to thrive when our faith is put to the test.
Genesis clearly teaches us that God is both creator and judge. We see this all over the pages of Genesis. We see it once again in Genesis 19 with the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. Abraham and Sarah will learn this first hand in Genesis 16 of just how devastating it can be when the “Cart gets before the horse!” From their shortsightedness, we learn a valuable truth today about waiting for God‘s perfect timing—and that is, God‘s timing is always better than ours.
Promises are a big deal! When God makes a promise, He keeps it! Believing what God says forms your faith and is foundational in you being found righteous in God‘s eyes. In Genesis chapter 15 God will remind Abraham of his great promise. On top of that, he promises to be Abraham’s protector and provider. Incredible promises for us today as well.
Nobody likes family drama! Not you, not anybody. We learn from Genesis 13 that not even some of our greatest biblical heroes could avoid family drama. Such is the case between Abraham and his nephew Lot. Abraham takes the lead and chooses to be a peacemaker. In doing so, provides us a wonderful example to follow today.
In Genesis chapter 12, God’s endgame starts to become clear. God would work through Abraham and his descendants to bring about the Jewish nation, the Bible, and ultimately the savior of the world, Jesus. God has always had a plan that involved redemption, blessing, and eternity with his creation. Through Abraham, all peoples on earth will be blessed.
Noah and his family came out of the Ark to a whole New World. However it did not take long for the same old problems to arise. Man’s free will was not destroyed in the flood and neither was sin. Noah would sin by getting drunk and his son Ham would sin by acting in such a disrespectful way to his father. Disobedience and rebellion would fill the earth as it was re-populated. God told man to spread over the earth, but they wanted to glorify and fortify themselves with the tower. God must’ve seen in their heart that this was only the beginning of a bigger plan of more rebellion. Thank the good Lord that at the end of the day He is still Lord of the nations. God has a plan of salvation for the whole world. That plan is Jesus!
