On the night of the 24th of December, laughter rings out from houses that line the streets, the cold holiday breeze gently sweeps and brushes against people’s cheeks, and dancing lights color the town in a sea of glimmering speckles, the perfect scenario indeed for Christmas Eve. However, while almost everyone is in their holiday spirits, prancing around town in their reds and greens and sipping on their big mugs of hot coco, not all people are on the same page. Some are down with a case of holiday blues, locked up in their rooms and just, well, not in their happiest. For some, Christmas Eve is just another work day, even when they don’t want to spend the holidays holed up in the cubicles of their offices, but have no choice, nevertheless. While Christmas is generally a day to be merry, it’s not always the case. And with that, we’ll look at the different Christmas stories from different people, with different perspectives.
Unmasking the many layers of yule, we’ll get to see the many faces of Christmas in this special episode where stories of grief, longing, indifference, and of course, delight, take center stage.
Life is full of up and downs -- maybe more on downs. We try to lift ourselves up, but in reality, we find ourselves buried under loads of pressure and problem. Time comes that we get so tired of it, that giving up is the only way that we can see. Don't worry, everyone feels the same way. Don't let the devastation destroy you. Pick yourself up, be proud of yourself for battling the storm. Embrace the pain because rainbows come after the rain. Take slow steps until you make it, don't rush. YOU are the boss of your OWN life.
Where am I? Who am I?
We often find ourselves in a situation where we lost our focus. Sometimes, we forget why are we even in this situation? Confusion, doubts, and dilemmas became a part of our everyday routine. Is it normal? Yes it is! Everyone gets stuck at a crossroad. But, it is where we find ourselves again. The moment that we almost forgot our core, crossroads remind us that we should prioritize our own to get back on the right track. Never compare yourself from others, we all have our own timing. Who knows, something even bigger might be for you? Just wait, and keep on fighting.
Breakdowns, tears, and failures are just part of the journey. Don't let them kill the spark in you.
Life would constantly throw us in a pit that would trigger our most sensitive nerves, but the feeling of weariness is just part of the game. It is okay to fall down, just make sure that you pull yourself up. Rest if have to. Never forget that we learn from our downfalls, so just go with the flow. Mistakes are part of the process.
Lakasan mo lang, 'wag panghinaan ng loob!
Hey there, such a long night, huh? We know you're exhausted, drained, and burned out. But look where you are now, you've come so far, champ!
This pilot episode of The Creative Nook goes out to all of us who are dog-tired, but kept on going, and those who are on the brink of giving up, but held on to the faint light of hope nevertheless. We dedicate our first ever episode to poke fun at our mishaps and the struggles we have faced, and of course, to celebrate our victories, whether big or small, and in any way, shape, or form.
So, here's to you, to you who is struggling, fighting, and failing, but still emerged as victorious in the end. And here's to us, because while there may still be many obstacles ahead of us, we definitely have reigned over our past battles. We've conquered it before, and we'll conquer it again in the future, no matter how many times it will take!
