Paul Vanderklay is the pastor of Living Stones Christian Reformed Church in Sacramento California. While his position includes teaching a group of people in person, Paul teaches a much larger pool of people on a weekly basis via his youtube channel with a weekly series called "Rough Draft for Sunday" where he gives a first pass at delivering content he's putting together for a sermon the following Sunday. His channel has amassed a fairly large following, partly due to his engagement and commentary on the ideas of the thinkers in the IDW and Meaning Crisis movements, such as Jordan Peterson, John Vervake, Jonathan Pageau, and the Weinstein brothers. Joshua Rasmussen is Assistant Professor in the #philosophy department at Azusa Pacific University. He earned his Ph.D. in philosophy at the University of Notre Dame. His area of research is in analytic #metaphysics, with a focus on basic categories of reality such as objects, ideas, and #necessary existence. He has published more than a dozen articles on these topics in peer-reviewed journals and has recently published a book, Defending the Correspondence Theory of Truth (Cambridge University Press). He is currently working on his second book, Necessary Existence (forthcoming with Oxford University Press and co-author), which presents new arguments for necessary concrete reality. Rasmussen values humble-minded, rational inquiry and collaboration across disciplines and perspectives.

Inspired Conversations is a little idea that I have been kicking around after reading some of the work of Nicholas Berdyaev. In the wake of the 20th Century catastrophes, Berdyaev was calling for a creative revolution that somehow was not taken up seriously among Christians. Yet the task of which he speaks - the full awakening of the people of God into that creative task remains in front of us, and this will require ordinary Christians to get together talk and gain a clearer understanding of that task in front of us. Luke is a cool guy that has a lot of interesting ideas that I felt would make for a great discussion, and it did. We cover a lot of ground in this conversation, and there might be some insights in it for those who want to take the time to check it out.

Her books have been translated into 12 languages. She is professor and scholar in residence at Houston Baptist University. Critically-acclaimed author and evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins and world-renowned theoretical physicist and author Lawrence Krauss discuss biology, cosmology, religion, and a host of other topics at this event entitled 'Something for Nothing'. This video was recorded at The Australian National University on 10 April 2012. Richard Dawkins FRS is the Charles Simonyi Professor of the Public Understanding of Science at the University of Oxford. Born in British colonial Africa, he was educated in England, where he now lives. He did his doctorate at Oxford under the Nobel Prize winning zoologist Niko Tinbergen, then was briefly an Assistant Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1967 to 1969, after which he returned to Oxford, first as a Lecturer in Zoology, then Reader, before being elected to his present professorship. He is the author of nine books: The Selfish Gene (1976, 2nd Ed 1989), The Extended Phenotype (1982), The Blind Watchmaker (1986), River Out of Eden (1995), Climbing Mount Improbable (1996), Unweaving the Rainbow (1998), A Devil's Chaplain (2003), The Ancestor's Tale (2004) and The God Delusion (2006). Lawrence M. Krauss is a renowned cosmologist and science populariser, and is Foundation Professor in the School of Earth and Space Exploration, and director of the Origins Project at Arizona State University. Hailed by Scientific American as a rare public intellectual, he is also the author of more than three hundred scientific publications and nine books, including the international bestseller, The Physics of Star Trek, and his most recent bestseller entitled A Universe from Nothing. He received his PhD from MIT in 1982 and then joined the Society of Fellows at Harvard, and was a professor at Yale University and Chair of the Physics Department at Case Western Reserve University before taking his present position. Internationally known for his work in theoretical physics, he is the winner of numerous international awards, and is the only physicist to have received major awards from all three US physics societies, the American Physical Society, the American Institute of Physics, and the American Association of Physics Teachers. Krauss is also a commentator and essayist for newspapers such as the New York Times, and the Wall St. Journal, and has written regular columns for New Scientist and Scientific American and appears regularly on radio and television. I sit down with Philosophy PHD dropout Jon Badiali (IsDoBe.com) to talk about his journey into Christianity. In a first for this channel, here's a real, live debate between me and Oxford University PPE undergraduate Josh Parikh on the topic of fine tuning, with regards to my response to a video called "How a Dice can show that God exists", which was produced by Justin Brierly, the host of this radio show. I'm glad to be able to share this with you, it was a fun discussion.
Critics and skeptics of the Bible have often charged that the Bible is full of contradictions. In this engaging presentation, Tim Chaffey shows that God’s Word can be trusted from beginning to end, and although it does have some difficult passages, it does not contain any contradictions. Many of the common mistakes of the critics are explained and answered. Tim also describes why God allowed these difficulties into His Word, and using several examples, he teaches believers how to deal with these Bible difficulties. Tim Chaffey is the content manager for the Ark Encounter. He speaks regularly at the Creation Museum, camps, schools, and churches, and has authored numerous books.

In the 2020 Natalie Boymel Kampen Memorial Lecture, Dan-el Padilla Peralta explores the historical and contemporary implications of the discipline of Classics in epistemicide, a concept popularized by the postcolonial theorist Boaventura de Sousa Santos to designate the extirpation of locally rooted ways of knowing as a direct result of imperial violence. Drawing on the writings of Avery Gordon, Saidiya Hartman, and César Sánchez Beras, Padilla Peralta generates some critical momentum around the premise that Classics is a ghostly matter, haunted by its participation in global projects of race-making but insistent on denying responsibility for the violences committed in its name. Dan-el Padilla Peralta is Associate Professor of Classics at Princeton University. He is the author of the forthcoming Divine Institutions (Princeton UP), co-editor of Rome, Empire of Plunder: The Dynamics of Cultural Appropriation (Cambridge UP, 2017), and author of Undocumented: A Dominican Boy’s Odyssey from a Homeless Shelter to the Ivy League (Penguin, 2015).
