Malagash Bible Camp exists to bring glory to God by promoting the Gospel of Jesus Christ by means of operating a year-round retreat and summer camp ministry. This podcast will accomplish that mission by connecting with current and former staff, campers and executives and sharing their stories of how God transforms their lives.
Eyael Ermias, Brooklyn Goree & Stanley Nyale are currently grade 10 students in Halifax, NS. They are "camp friends" whose friendship carries through into the off season, whether that would be at youth group or doing devos together at lunchtime. Between them, they have volunteers in every capacity, and looking forward to next summer. You won't find three people who have more fun talking bout Malagash Bible Camp.
Johnathan Forsythe from Dartmouth, NS is a Jr. high math and science teacher in the Halifax Regional Municipality. Johnathan has attended Malagash Bible Camp since he was four years old and has spent at least one week of every summer (besides one) there. He has spent a total of six summers on full time staff in various roles, most recently serving as one of the interim camp managers for the summer of 2021 with his wife Rachel.
Josh Docksteader from PEI is a husband and father, and works as a pastor in PEI. He worked as full-time staff from 2003 to 2005. Listen as he shares his heart for God, and how God walked with him through some very difficult times.

Sarah Reagan, from Halifax, NS first attended Malagash Bible Camp in 2010. She began volunteering in 2018, and was on full-time stafff in 2021. She is currently taking a bachelor of science in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University.

Tyler, originally born in Quispamsis, NB, but now residing in Halifax, NS was the on-site camp executive director and manager from 2015 to 2018 along with his wife, Annette and his two children. He has a long history of working with children, youth and families with a variety of churches and Christian organizations.
In 2018 Tyler felt the call of God to become better equipped to support families, so he returned to graduate school to complete his master's degree in marriage and family therapy. Today he works as a professional counsellor in Bedford, NS.

Amy Eckhart of Antigonish, NS starting attending camp in 2016. After graduating high-school in 2020 Amy spent the year in Maui, Hawaii completing a missions training program with YWAM. In 2021 she was the full-time summer female volunteer with Malagash Bible Camp.

Nathan Jollimore is from Dartmouth, NS and he has been the Editor for the Malagash Bible Camp Podcasts and other various projects. Nathan will be starting his first year at Kingswood University this September 2021 and he is taking a Bachelor of Theology. He also currently attends and works at Hillside Wesleyan Church in Cole Harbor, NS. Nathan has been connected and going to camp every year since 2008, he has been in many roles throughout the years, including camper, volunteer and program directing. Nathan credits Malagash Bible Camp as being a main driving guide in his spiritual walk with Christ.

Sarah and Jeremy live and serve the Lord in Fall River, NS. They were married in 2004 at Malagash Bible Camp and both have a long service record towards the ministry of Malagash Bible Camp. They are parents to three boys, currently aged eight, eleven and twelve. The ministry of Malagash Bible Camp has been a big part of both of their lives. Sarah first attended camp at age ten, and then didn't miss a summer, attending as a camper, volunteer and full-time staff for twenty-seven straight years. Jeremy first attended camp as a four-year-old and served at least one week each of the summers between 1998 and 2018. Between them they have served in the kitchen, on maintenance, as cabin leaders, staff coordinators, camp directors, and even served one summer as interim camp managers. Jordan Draper of Halifax, NS attended camp has a child and youth and went on to serve as a volunteer and then as full-time staff in 2004, 2005, 2007 & 2009. Mary Main is a proud resident of Bible Hill, NS. She first attended camp in 2008, and served on fulltime staff from 2014 to 2015. After working as a photo retoucher, she graduated in 2021 with a degree in Linguistics from Memorial University, and intends to use her education and passion to to work with/in Indigenous language revitalization.

Scott Kohler, from Lake Echo, NS is a husband and father and currently the pastor Gentle Shepherd Community Church in Fredericton, NB. He is a habitual family camp attendee and has blessed Malagash Bible Camp as speaker on several occasions. Jordan is from Halifax, NS and runs a design company. At Malagash Bible Camp he volunteered as kitchen staff, then a Junior Cabin Leader throughout Jr High and High School. Jordan was a Senior Cabin Leader from the years 1997-2001.
The ministry of MBC was instrumental in helping Jordan pursue other Christ-centered outreaches such as soccer with Athletes in Action, and music full-time with a Christian alt-rock band. He is so thankful for the summers spent at Malagash Bible Camp and for the comradery with other believers, being able to listen to insightful teaching from gifted Pastors, and opportunities to see Jesus at work.

Mitch Foren of Timberlea, NS is a husband and father and is currently a full-time missionary in Mexico with Youth With A Mission. He attended Malagash Bible Camp as a camper in 2010 through 2013, and spent the summer of on full-time staff in 2014. Hudson Trenholm of Debert, NS works full time as a pastor, and was a perennial speaker at Malagash Bible Camp from 1999 - 2009. Amazon Mansell of Lower Sackville, NS has been attending Malagash Bible Camp as a camper since 2016. She has volunteered since 2018, and was on full-time staff in 2020. Stephen Michels, of Dartmouth, N.S., is a long-time follower of Christ, has an extensive background with Malagash Bible Camp, and serves in a variety of ministries in the Christian community.
Stephen, a husband and father, works as a teacher at Halifax Christian Academy and as a chaplain in the Canadian Armed Forces. He often preaches on Sunday mornings at various HRM churches.
Stephen, at age 17, attended a winter teen retreat at Malagash Bible Camp, an experience he credits as setting a major course direction in his life. The following spring, in 1986, he was encouraged by his church leadership to apply for a summer staff position at MBC. He did, was accepted, and went on to serve as cabin leader for nearly a decade. He then moved into roles such as speaker, director, interim camp manager and executive board member. He continues to serve as a regular speaker, and on specialized committees.

Ryan McMullen, from Truro, NS is a husband and father and works as a high-school teacher. Ryan grew up going to Malagash Bible Camp as a camper, and credits the ministry of Malagash Bible Camp as a key driver in faith journey. He received God's gift of salvation at Malagash Bible Camp in the summer of 2006 and was on full-time staff in 2007 & 2008. He has served as a camp director and speaker as well. Andrew Leiper, from Halifax, NS, is a husband and father, and currently works as a Financial Planner. He attended Malagash Bible Camp annually as a camper from grade two through grade 12. He presently serves on the executive board of Malagash Bible camp, was a full-time volunteer in 2001, and worked as full-time staff in 2002 through 2005. Riley Fillmore, from Truro, NS was a perennial camper at Malagash Bible Camp since he was in grade 3. She first attended Malagash Bible Camp when she was serving with Athletes in Action in 2017 and then was on full-time staff in 2018. Derek Thorne, from Tantallon, NS has attended Malagash Bible Camp since 2012. He served five summers on full-time staff from 2015 - 2019.
