Aditya created an online community among first year students to ensure and create a true sense of community in a year of online university. This episode explores their thoughts, hopes and reasons for starting such a successful page, as well as an insight into planning large scale events in a pandemic.

This week, Malini and Sikemi are joined by the president of the African and Caribbean Society at the University of Cambridge, Alicia.
In 2020, 137 black students were admitted, a rise of just over 50% on the 2019/20 academic year, but the conversation about diversity is not over. Alicia and Sikemi discuss their experiences being black in such an institutionalised university and highlight how race should never deter prospective applicants. Alicia also reveals how ACS helped her settle into Cambridge so well and how her she hopes to continue this in her role as President for the next year.
