Dancing is a great way to express yourself even if you're not conscious about it. For me, it became source of immense joy and freedom.
Seeing anybody do what they do best is just beautiful.
The documentary and biopic film of Diana Nyad's story fired me up.
Her 5th attempt in 2013 @64 y/o, with the support of her team, her coach and bestfriend. They embarked on another try. After 53 hours, 110 miles almost 3days of swimming, she made the impossible possible.
Nyad asked herself, am I living the life that I can admire?It's not what I want to do but am I everything who I want to be?
Nyad's story is incredibly amazing and inspiring. My takeaway is to what ever shore there is you want to get, get there. Find a way to get there.
This year I have no goals. Of course I do, It's not the regular new year's resolution we say every year - but never really follows. I stopped doing that. I say, I will continue to do whatever I'm doing.
Growing up, I didn't have a voice. I cannot speak my mind when I want it too. I often get frozen, but something in me has changed in the last 6 years.
It's fascinating what we can learn , It is our responsibility to ourselves to do the work. As my favorite poet and writer Dr. Maya Angelou once said, "when you know better, you do better". I

Negative feelings can reside in our own homes without us noticing it. While these feelings came from something, not processing them can weigh us down. Sharing some negative feelings I'm still learning and recognizing in my own home and trying accept them and hopefully be able to slowly clear them out. Easier said than done but here's to hoping that it'll shed a light to all of us.

Have you ever got a favorite poem when you were a kid? I have one that's been stuck to me all through the years, It's amazing I didn't forget my favorite verse, I didn't know the title nor the author but the verse I remember ever since. This poem introduced me very early on into the world of poetry, how I appreciate beautiful words now and life itself I believe is thanks to this poem.
A Little Song of Life
by
Lizette Woodworth Reese
Glad that I live am I;
That the sky is blue;
Glad for the country lanes,
And the fall of dew.
After the sun the rain;
After the rain the sun;
This is the way of life,
Till the work be done.
*All that we need to do,
Be we low or high,
Is to see that we grow
Nearer the sky.*
I'm all about improving myself, learning more, and over last 2 years I'm paying more attention with my speech/communication skills.
Every time we say to ourselves “I’ll be happy when …” what we’re really saying is “I can’t be happy now.” Reaching a milestone can feel good, but eventually we start to look for the next milestone, and then we’re back to thinking “I’ll be happy when …” all over again. The habit of saying “I’ll be happy when …” keeps us wishing and searching instead of enjoying and living.
What should you do if you’re still figuring out what feels meaningful to you or if you’re drawn to many different things?
Dorie Clark, a consultant and keynote speaker said by Thinking long term and Optimize for interesting. It means, Identifying our goals to make adjustments needed in our lives to move towards achieving them and following the advice of “Whenever you have a choice of what to do,” , “choose the more interesting path.”
Having to know something and Wanting to know more.
Some of the words I live by are from Maya Angelou. She said, "Do the best that you can until you know better and when you know better, do better."
I tried this exercise once and I got an emotional response. I will do it again to get know more of my WHY.
Also this exercise is "to inspire your people to find and do the things that inspire them." - Simon Sinek
Do you know some tools for mind cleansing? Meditation? What else? Like a breather to take a moment and slow down and reflect. Here are some habits for a healthier + happier mind.
Take One! And I remember the M- word after hearing my recording. Ha!
I think I'm just scared to admit deep down at some point I want to be a speaker too as I used to deny that I don't want to be :D
Hear me get lost in my thoughts, literally! I've been slacking and putting this episode on hold. I had to do it already.
My question for you is...
How do you inspire yourself? ( I inspire myself when/by ..... ?)
How do you inspire other people? (I inspire through people when ..... ?)
SELF COMPASSION - is the one thing I want YOU to do for yourself but failed, so let's carry it over once more.
They say listening is the holy grail of communication. I always say that I'm a better listener than a speaker. But I still try to improve myself on both ways. Still struggling sometimes to just listen and not react, and of course to speak articulately. It's a never-ending learning for me. Everyday, trying to get better than my previous self.
Today marks my 3rd year in EE, 5 years total living in abroad. 🥳 I also shared something about how I'm feeling during pandemic and about decision fatigue.
In this episode I talked about how I ended up here in Tallinn. I got asked a lot everytime I'm meeting new people for the first time, I basically already have a template on answering it 😄
For quite sometime I've been struggling to come up of what my first episode would be, and this came few days ago and I thought this is the perfect first episode. But its quite a long one, I still need to figure out or remember the other half of the list. This is my first time, please go easy on me? And I can't run it perfectly, I keep having few seconds of dead air and mumbling of words, so bear with me :)
