Josefina López started the theater CASA 0101 in Boyle Heights, California, in 2000. Having grown up there, her vision was to bring live theater and her educational and cultural experiences to the predominately Spanish-speaking immigrant community of Boyle Heights. Her play, Real Women Have Curves, went on to become an HBO film in 2002.
