Today we invite Maxine Yang, a first generation Taiwanese American and current MD/MPH student, to share her experience getting into medical school and how she aspires to break the stigma of Western medicine in AAPI culture. One of Maxine’s passions is mentoring others towards achieving their own goals, particularly getting accepted into medical school, and is well-known on the social media platform, TikTok. She is also a huge proponent of body positivity and helps other women in her community become confident in their own skin.
