How I Learned to Drive is the 1998 Pulitzer Prize winning play written by Paula Vogel and is currently being produced by The Vortex Theatre. Under the guidance of Theresa Carson, a very talented cast lead us through a story with intense themes, some negative and some positive, to what could be an inspiring destination. David Jones has had a profound impact on the stages of the ABQ. David has done so much; a UNM professor who founded The Vortex Theatre, conceived the idea of what is now the NM Shakespeare festival and has directed at most theatre's in the ABQ that have come and gone. Actors' Studio 66 is producing Gruesome Playground Injuries by Rajiv Joseph at The Black Cat Cultural Center. Director Stephanie Grillo is tasked with steering this ship and she tells how she and her two-person cast have weathered this white squall of a script.
