This is an improvised clip from my show at El Mirador in Minca, Colombia.
Everything is improvised with Ableton Live, with a footpedal to control everything.
I use an afrobeat track as the base, I add a bass line, then a "guitar" type part.
I add a keyboard part, then a conga loop. I add a looped sax part, and then I add a clip from Dr. Dre's Next Episode.
I then solo on sax, then I add flute. At one point I solo only Dr' Dre's loop, then bring everything back in.
Then I freestyle rap. At the end I create a second sax loop. This was a great crowd.

English:
This is my live looping cover of Levitating by Dua Lipa. I combined two beats to get this sound, both of which I made with Native Instruments Maschine Mikro.
I use a slap bass part which is super fun, and then add a synth keys part. The play the melody on sax and improvise. The melody was a little difficult because it involves a lot of fast tonguing, but I think it sounded ok in the ended.
I really like this song a lot, and I'm a big fan of Dua Lipa.
Enjoy!

I didn't sing it, but instead I made up a melody. I tried to make it sound like I was talking.

Here is my Electronic Soul Jazz, influenced from playing with DJs. I use Ableton Live to create everything, on six instruments. I record each loop with a footpedal. Everything is completely improvised-no two concerts are the same.
I bring in a house track, then I add a bass line to it.
I add a keyboard chord pattern to the loop.
Then, I change the house track, to one that is more Afrobeat.
I add a new bass line and record it. Then I go to add a higher riff on the bass.
Then I go to the keyboard, and record a funky clavinet part. After this is recorded, I bring in Dr Dre's Next Episode on a loop.
Then over the top of everything, I start soloing on sax.
I record a sax line over the top. For a secord I let The Next Episode play, then I go bback to groove. I start rapping, which is part of California Love by Tupac.
I let the groove run to the end.
I hope you enjoyed this!

Here is jam that is a bit rock influenced, particularly Rage Against the Machine. I use Ableton Live to create everything, on six instruments. I record each loop with a footpedal. Everything is completely improvised-no two concerts are the same.I solo on flute over my original beat West Coast, using delay on the flute, as
well as singing into the flute, which creates a distorted sound.
I create a looped distorted flute line.
I double the synth bass with bass guitar.
After these are recorded, I bust out the sax and start soloing,

First with a chord structure. Then i add a sax riff, that I record in the loop. After that, I add a flute riff in the loop.

Hello!
I use Ableton Live to create everything, on six instruments. I record each loop with a footpedal. Everything is completely improvised-no two concerts are the same.
This jam starts with one of my favorite tracks, then I put a slap bass over the top, and then add a "guitar" line with the bass.
Then I start soloing with the flute.
I stop to record some chords with a Fender Rhodes keyboard song, then return to record a flute loop.
Then I record a couple words in a short rap loop.
Then I start to solo on the sax for a while.
Then I stop everything except the bass loops. At the right moment I bring track in.
Enjoy the groove!

I start with a drum and conga loop, then I add I repeated bass riff over the top. Once that is grooving, I bring in the organ. I bring in a repeated organ latin riff over the top, then I bring in chords again. Then i bring in the sax to start soloing. I find a sax hook, and record it with harmonies. Then I record a couple words that get looped as well.

Then I go to the keyboard and add a riff with a sound called "Duck". Then I begin to solo over the top on the sax, starting with slow lines. I add a repeated sax riff, then continue to solo. I add a rap phrase looped. I then add a harmony to the sax part I've already recorded. I add a second drum loop, a little funky. Then I continue soloing on the sax.
Then I stop the bass, and just let the drums and the sax loop keep playing. Then I bring the bass back in. Then I begin to get crazy on the sax. I silence everything except the sax harmonies, and cut out the mid to give it a "DJ" effect. Then I bring the drums back, so its just drums and sax.
Sick jam, I hope you enjoy!

First I loop a bassline over the track. Then I go to the keyboard and loop a Fender Rhodes sound over the top, jazz type of chords. Then i go back to the bass and loop a "guitar" part using the upper frets of the bass.
Then I add a flute loop over the top-with heavy reverb. Then I add a second drum beat to go with everything else. Then I add harmonica, and I solo for a while on harmonica. I loop part of the harmonica. I loop a a few words as well.
Then I bring the sax for some epic riffs. While doing this, I add another drum beat, this time one that is more rhythmic. I keep soloing on the sax and add to the groove. I stop everything except the drums, and loop a hook with the sax, with delay. Then I add a new bassline once the sax is recorded. Then I add a "guitar" line with the bass. Then I go to the keyboard and add a lead line in octaves. After the lead line, I record a keyboard repeated part. Then I turn off the mid eq for second, and bring it back in. I start soloing again on the sax, as it fades out. Enjoy! Feel free to share this music, for a party or whatever.

This is part of the the concert we did in Llano Grande, Colombia. We take well-known songs and improvise around them. This is Just the Two of Us by Bill Withers and Grover Washington.
We have Ruben on percussion, Carlos on keyboards, Santiago on bass, and myself on sax, flute and harmonica.
Let me give the road map of this jam.
We start with the melody, with Ruben on castanets, which gives a great feel.
I play the melody, and then start soloing.
I loop a sax line, while Carlos starts to solo on organ. While he is doing this, I make a harmony part to the first riff that I made.
As we build, Ruben switches to congas.
After the sax riffs are built, I take another solo. Great solo, I have to admit hahaha. Then Carlos takes a solo on synth lead, almost sounds like a hip-hop lead.
After his solo I play the melody again. We play the melody a couple times, and then we end on the famous sax riff.

Mientras construimos, Ruben cambia a congas.

Here I present our version of Chan Chan by Buena Vista Social Club.
Our idea is to play popular songs, and improvise around them.
Sometimes we play the song, sometimes we play an improvisation similar to the song.
This is part of a concert we did in Llano Grande, Colombia. We have Santiago on bass, Ruben on congas and percussion, Carlos on keyboards, and myself on sax, flute, harmonica and beats. Let me explain what we did in this version.
We start pretty simple, simple chords, with congas. I do some improvisation while playing the melody. Then Carlos switches to organ, and solos a bit. Then he switches to a piano sound and keeps soloing. Then I pull out the harmonica and solo on it. A very bluesy solo. Then I go back to the sax, and the band goes toward more of a salsa groove. Both Carlos and I solo at the same time, then I play a repeated riff. Then Carlos solos again, now on electric piano, with delay. Very spacey. Then he chills out and goes back to the chords.
I start to play the melody. I improvise in between playing the melody. Then we start lower the energy, while I repeat the melody. We end on a cadenza.

This jam goes on for a while, because I was able to build it.
I use Ableton Live to create everything, on six instruments. I record each loop with a footpedal. Everything is completely improvised-no two concerts are the same.
I start out with two beats simultaneously, Feijado and Dubstep.
I lay down a bass line very reminiscent of Motown.
Then I lay down the "guitar" parts.
The first one is basically a funk guitar riff. One I have that looped, I add a harmony part to it.
I go to the fender rhodes, and add some jazz chords. Then I add octaves.
I like the way it grooves with the bass. Then I add a little bit of a Wobbly synth, to add more sound.
I bring out the flute and start soloing. First without effects and then I add delay.
I record a looped line on flute, then delete it and record a new one.
Once that line is recorded, I introduce the harmonica.
I go back to the synthesizer to play a lead line, for a minute,
then I solo the loop without drums. I take out the mids just as a DJ would do. While this is going on, I start soloing on saxophone. The saxophone is muted because everything has no mids! Haha.
Then I bring in a new beat, while keeping the same loop, with all the instruments.
The beat grows, and I record a loop with the saxophone.
Finally you can hear the saxophone! I solo over the top of the loops.
I record a new sax loop and erase the old one. After that I move into another jam, which will be another video :)
I hope you enjoy!

Hello!
We are in week 131 with the them of Orgullo Patria, which translates to "Homeland Pride".
I'm originally from Alaska. I grew up in very remote parts of Alaska, only accessible by airplane.
My parents had one cassette tape called Alaska Hit Singles, full of strange songs about Alaska.
I didn't have a lot of connections with the outside world, so I remember all the songs on this cassette tape.
One song stood out in particular, it was called the Polar Bear Stomp.
It was a funk song with a saxophone. So, I've tried to re-create it here.
I had a change a couple of the lyrics, but it is pretty close to the original.
I made the beat with Native Instruments Maschine. I'm playing all the parts on bass, keys, sax, and vocals.
I decided to put it into a four-square video because I thought it looked super cool.
I put the Alaskan flag over the mirror that I usually have, to show my Orgullo Patria ;).
I left my parka in Alaska so I'm using the biggest jacket I have to record this song.
I hope you enjoy!!
Lyrics:
I hates the man
That said all bears go in the woods
Cuz I don't
Rar!!!
Cuz I'm a polar bear
I likes to eat seals
I find seals succulent
I like to suck em down, and then send them out the ice
I like to watch them slide, watch them glide
There ain't no trees where I peas
Uh uh, its a frozen wasteland
My land
If I meet you, I'm gonna eat you
I hates the man, that said all bears go in the woods
Cuz I don't
Rar!
Cuz I'm a polar bear

Then I get the flute, and I do the main riff on flute. Then I start to solo on flute.
I put distortion on the flute, so that it kind of sounds like an electric guitar.
Then Santiago starts to sing the lyrics to the song. Ruben switches to maracas.
Carlos sings together with Santiago.
Carlos and I play the opening riff together.
Then Carlos takes off on a solo by myself, using synths.
At the end of Carlos' solo, Ruben drops out and I start to solo on harmonica.
Then Ruben switches to congas. I switch back to flute, for the ending riff.
The band starts to switch to a salsa groove, and I stop the harmonica loop.
Carlos solos and then does repeats the riff.
I put delay on the flute, and we finish. What an adventure!
Please enjoy!

This was the first piece that we played, it is simply an improvisation. Later on we used famous works of music to give the impression of the song, while not actually playing the song as written.
We start out with kind of a reggae groove, and I create a melody over the top of the groove. Carlos is playing piano as well as organ, and Ruben is on shakers. I create a riff and then solo for a while. Then Carlos solos on organ. While he is doing that I get the flute, and create a couple background lines. The flute has a lot of delay, I really like the sound of delay on flute. After I create a solo on flute. Santiago changes the chord progression to create kind of a bridge. Then Carlos solos on piano. While he is doing this, Ruben and I stop playing. Then we both come back, but softly. At this point Ruben switches from Congas to Guiro percussion. I bring back the flute. Carlos goes back to the organ. Then I switch back to the sax. I really like this particular solo, you can hear how I suspend a high note almost as if its feedback coming from a guitar, my influence coming from Jimi Hendrix. During this band, we go back to the bridge that Santiago played before. We slow down, and end together with a cadenza from Carlos on piano.
I hope you enjoy!

Hi Hive Open Mic!
We are in week 130, with the theme Creativity and Freestyle. Maybe you have seen some of my other videos, but I wanted to share a little of what I like to do, which is what I like to call Electronic Soul Jazz. I mix electronic beats with six instruments and record it live with a looper. I control everything with a footpedal, and everything is improvised. I’m heavily influenced by soul and house music, as well as many others styles of music.
Let me give you the roadmap of what I am doing in this jam:
I start with a beat I made called Feijado, influenced by a trip to Brazil. I start playing bass until I find something that is funky enough to loop. I find a good groove, then record it with my footpedal.
I hop over to the keyboard and use a Fender Rhodes patch to lay down some jazzy chords.
Then I lay down a funky clavinet line. To complete it I add a lead line. I put a harmony at the end.
Then I go back to the bass to add the “guitar” part. I lay down two different parts that are in harmony with each other.
Then I bring in the flute. I’ve put a massive delay on the flute. I record a line with the flute.
Then I add an original beat called Dubstep, influenced by Dubstep.
I record a new flute line. Then I record a quick harmonica part. The delay is still present.
Then I add a rap to be repeated. “What? Coming on the scene, I’m not trying to be mean, I’m trying to be real.”
Then I get the saxophone. At first the sax floats over top of everything else. I improvise a solo over the beat I have created.
Then I add a repeated sax line to be looped.
Once this done I continue soloing over the loop, until the end.
I hope you like it!

Hola Hive Open Mic!

I really like this one, it turned out great. Let me give you the breakdown.
Ableton Live is my platform, I control the looping by recording it with a footpedal while I play.
Everything is improvised, nothing is planned.
I start out with the bass. The track is sort of an Afrobeat groove,
so I create a sick bass line. Over top of that, I record the "guitar" part.
Then I record a second "guitar" part an octave up.
Then I switch to the keyboard. I'm using a Fender Rhodes sound, one of my favorites.
I lay down a rhythmic pattern that changes chords.
Then I lay down a lead line, over top of the whole thing.
Then enters the sax. First there is heavy delay. I turn it off and get a straight sound.
First I improvise with the sax, creating some floating melodies.
Then I record a sax line, very reminiscent of James Brown, and his sax player Maceo Parker.
I record multiple parts so that the sax is in harmony with itself.
Then I continue soloing, just going with the groove.
Eventually a change to a beat with less motion and keep soloing.
At the end I add a beat with more movement, and fade out.
Enjoy!

¡Disfrutar!

I'll give you a breakdown of what I'm doing.
Like always, I'm using Ableton Live for everything and using a footpedal to control the looping.
I play six instruments, and the loop pedal controls this.
Everything is completely improvised.
I start out with a different beat but change it around to make it more chill.
I start with the bass line, it takes a sec because the track gets off, so I correct it.
This happens sometimes. Even though I have through every track systemically and programmed every single beat.
Then I add a repeated synth line called Duck Lead. Then I add another melody.
Then I add a rhythmic pattern with the Fender Rhodes sound on the keyboard.
After I've done that, I add a sound called Wobbly which is kind of a wahed sustained keyboard.
Then I add the flute. I've put some massive delay on the flute, which creates the sound that you hear.
I do some improvised soloing on flute, then I record a repeated line.
Enjoy!

Hi!
I'll give you a breakdown of today's jam. Everything is completely improvised, I use I Ableton Live for everything and use a footpedal to record with the looper.
I play six instruments: sax, bass, keys, flute, harmonic, and voice.
First I start out with an original beat which I made on Native Instruments Maschine, which I call
I Love the Maschine, hahahaha. I quickly add a bass line, which is very similar
to the bass line from Jimi Hendrix's Foxy Lady. I record it with the pedal on the floor.
Then I add a funk "guitar" line on the high range of the bass using the same method.
then I pop over to the clavinet and lay down a funky keys line.
Then I add a rhythmic flute part, with a slight delay.
Then enters the sax. The sax is like the lead singer. There is a little delay on the sax because the flute mic is picking it up.
It is just a straight improv solo. Then I add a sax riff. Then I add a harmony part to sax riff.
So the saxes are in harmony with themselves haha.
Then I add a vocal riff. Just a little hip-hop "what what what what"
that loops over the top.
Enjoy!

This is my cover of Seven Nation Army by the White Stripes.
This idea first came to me in a jam session. I had never played this before, but I was amazed at how good it sounded.
The saxophone takes a different spin on it. It doubles as the guitar and the voice.
It also sounds super edgy and works with the rock vibe, but adds almost a free jazz atmosphere.
I was super obsessed with Jimi Hendrix growing up, he was one of my biggest influences.
As such I'm always looking for an opportunity to play rock on the saxophone :)
In my version I play with the melody a bit, and improvise different lines.
I filmed and recorded the bass first, and then I filmed and recorded the sax.
I thought the background was super cool with the mirror.
I was able to do a split effect where it looks "we" are sitting on the same couch.
Here is the original video to check out:

Hi Hive Open Mic week 128! This is my first time posting in this community.
Following the theme of heartbreak, Desamor, I chose Ordinary People by John Legend.
It is a song that talks about how we are just Ordinary People, and don't know which way to go. I can relate this to this weeks theme. Sometimes bad things happen that we don't like, and we get our hearts broken, but its important to remember that we are ordinary regular people, no matter who we are, who get hurt but also make mistakes.
This a saxophone cover, I used three cameras to film it.
I hope you enjoy it!

Hola Hive Open Mic semana 128!
Lyrics/Letras:
Oh, oh
Oh, oh, oh
Girl I'm in love with you
This ain't the honeymoon
We're passed the infatuation phase
We're right in the thick of love
At times we get sick of love
It seems like we argue every day
I know I misbehaved
And you made your mistakes
And we both still got room left to grow
And though love sometimes hurts
I still put you first
And we'll make this thing work
But I think we should take it slow
We're just ordinary people
We don't know which way to go
'Cause we're ordinary people
Maybe we should take it slow
Take it slow, oh-oh
This time we'll take it slow
Take it slow, oh-oh
This time we'll take it slow
This ain't a movie no
No fairy tale conclusion ya'll
It gets more confusing everyday, oh
Sometimes it's heaven sent
Then we head back to hell again
We kiss, then we make up on the way
I hang up you call
We rise and we fall
And we feel like just walking away
As our love advances
We take second chances
Though it's not a fantasy
I still want you to stay
We're just ordinary people
We don't know which way to go
'Cause we're ordinary people
Maybe we should take it slow
Take it slow, oh-oh
This time we'll take it slow
Take it slow, oh-oh
This time we'll take it slow
Take it slow
Maybe we'll live and learn
Maybe we'll crash and burn
Maybe you'll stay
Maybe you'll leave
Maybe you'll return
Maybe another fight
Maybe we won't survive
But maybe we'll grow
We never know, baby you and I
We're just ordinary people
We don't know which way to go, yeah, hey
'Cause we're ordinary people
Maybe we should take it slow
We're just ordinary people
We don't know which way to go
'Cause we're ordinary people
Maybe we should take it slow
Take it slow, oh-oh
This time we'll take it slow
Take it slow, oh-oh
This time we'll take it slow
Take it slow, slow
This time we'll take it slow
Take it slow, oh
This time we'll take it slow

This is completely improvised, controlled with a pedal by my feet.
I play six instruments: sax, bass, keys, flute, harmonica, and voice.
It's kind of like a DJ remix, except that I use live instruments.
A mix between electronic, soul/funk/hip-hop, and jazz. I use Ableton Live for everything.
I'll give you a breakdown so you can understand what I'm doing in case it doesn't make sense:
First I bring in the track. Then I cut out the midrange using the mixer. I started playing bass and came up with a bass line. Once I get a good one, I record it with my feet. Then I loop another more "guitar" part, and then record it as well. So there is a bass part, a second bass part, and two "guitar" parts recorded on the bass. Once everything is recorded I switch to the keyboard. I use the clavinet first. I record a rhythmic clavinet part, then I add a synth melody over top with a different sound.
Then I switch to flute. I have a lot of delay on the flute to give it a "spacey" sound. I play short parts and let the delay continue. Once that is recorded, I pick up the harmonica. The delay is still on first, but then I turn it off to get a more blues harmonica solo. I don't use the sax on this particular recording, but sax is my first instrument.

Luego cambio a flauta.

I wanted to give you a breakdown of exactly what I am doing in this video, in order, so you can understand.
First off I started with a house track. I then pick up the bass to lay down a bass line.
Once I have something I like I press record with my feet with a pedal that is on the floor.
Once the bass line is recorded, I use the bass to record the "guitar part" by using the upper range of the bass to create chords.
This falls over one of the first drops in the house track.
I then go to the keyboard and add a sound called Wobbly. It is kind of a wah-wah sound with a long delay.
Then I add a synth line with a patch called Duck. These are both recorded with my footpedal.
I usually play it a couple times, and then I press record once I like it.
Then I pick up the sax and create an improvised solo. The sax is on a different track from the lop pedal.
But, a different mic picks up the sax as well, which is why it has a little bit of delay.
This mic is connected to the loop pedal. So I record a looped idea with the sax, and then continue soloing.
I add one of my own drum beats that I make in Native Instruments Maschine, now that the house track has ended.
I continue to improvise on the sax.
All house and drum tracks are syncronized so that they play together. I did this by programming each track.
Enjoy!
I will upload more later.

¡Disfrutar!
Subiré más más tarde.

I first heard this song in the movie 50 Shades of Grey.
Anyone who has seen that movie knows how sensual that movie is. It's a movie about sex, and S&M. This theme stood out to me.
I've also been a fan of The Weeknd, He creates so many different styles with his music.
I saw Florencio Cruz's saxophone cover of Earned It, and I wanted to try my own version.
I used three cameras to film this video. I filmed it in the bedroom of my apartment. I used a red light as the background lighting, as well as sunlight. Two of the cameras are more direct, and the third one creates kind of a side angle. I like the third camera because it adds to the atmosphere of the video. I'm barefoot for this video, shoes are for sissies :)
I like the mirror in the background, it gives an introspective approach to the video. The plants as well add a nice touch.
I put reverb and a little bit of delay on the sax. I really hope you enjoy it! This is my attempt at a cover of Earned It by the Weeknd.

Lyrics:
You make it look like it's magic
'Cause I see nobody, nobody but you, you, you
I'm never confused
Hey, hey
I'm so used to being used
So I love when you call unexpected
'Cause I hate when the moment's expected
So I'ma care for you, you, you
I'ma care for you, you, you, you, yeah
'Cause girl you're perfect
You're always worth it
And you deserve it
The way you work it
'Cause girl you earned it
Girl you earned it, yeah
You know our love would be tragic (Oh, yeah)
So you don't pay it, don't pay it no mind
We live with no lies
Hey, hey
You're my favorite kind of night
So I love when you call unexpected
'Cause I hate when the moment's expected
So I'ma care for you, you, you
I'ma care for you, you, you, you, yeah
'Cause girl you're perfect (Girl, you're perfect)
You're always worth it (You're always worth it)
And you deserve it (And you deserve it)
The way you work it (The way you work it)
'Cause girl you earned it
Girl you earned it, yeah
On that lonely night (Lonely night)
You said it wouldn't be love
But we felt the rush
It made us believe it there was only us (Only us)
Convinced we were broken inside, yeah, inside, yeah
'Cause girl you're perfect (Girl, you're perfect)
You're always worth it (You're always worth it)
And you deserve it (And you deserve it)
The way you work it (The way you work it)
'Cause girl you earned it, yeah
Girl you earned it, yeah (Earned it, no, no, ooh)
'Cause girl you're perfect
You're always worth it
And you deserve it

This is free-form improvisation with a beat. I have been experimenting with this concept for a number of years.
I was fascinated by the combination of "real" instruments with electronic music. I first went to play with a DJ and improvised over all his tracks, and it worked well.
This gave me the idea. Since I play so many instruments, I incorporated them.
My idea is to play whatever comes. House music is about creating energy. Jazz, is also, about creating energy.
I draw heavily on influences from soul and funk music, combining them with electronic beats.
Some of these are my own, some are sampled like a DJ. The tracks/beats are programmed in Ableton Live like a grid. But the instruments themselves are all played by me.
I record with a looper at my feet. I try to feel the mood, to figure out the next thing I should do. I particularly like the background for this video, It has a psychedelic appeal to it. The mirror creates a thoughtful vibe, while the plants create the natural connection. The blue couch reminds me of a psychedelic sixties party, or maybe something Prince would do :) Enjoy!

I filmed this in my using an iPhone 12, a GoPro Hero 8, and a Canon Vixia HF G40. They are placed at opposite sides to get a "stereo" effect. It looks kind of like a mirror effect.
I am running Ableton Live 11. In Ableton all tracks are synced to the grid, they are the same tempo. Then I figured all the keys for each song so it's written down.
I use a mix between house tracks and original beats that I make with Native Instruments Maschine.
These run together, then I use the built-in looper with Ableton. I control it with a Keith McMillen footpedal on the floor that allows me to record, overdub, play, stop, erase. In Ableton I have 5 tracks, drums, beat, house tracks, looper, and sax.
The bass, keyboard and microphone run into a sub mixer. I control the individual volume there. Then I run it out to my interface, an Apogee Duet.
The sax has a wireless Shure microphone, the receiver is plugged in directly to interface. The microphone works for flute, harmonica, and vocals. I sometimes use delay or other effects on the microphone. This is the structure, and then everything that comes out is completely improvised. It is a different show every time. I never repeat the same jam twice. Enjoy!
Estoy ejecutando Ableton Live 11.
¡Disfruta!

This is my own slide creation. The joke is that this is how I pay for travelling around the world.
Everywhere I went in the world, I took pictures of signs. Any type of weird of funny sign, it went in my sign collection.
Anything from Cheap Divorce, to Genuine Fake Watches, and everything in between.
I even included a sign of me from Antarctica.
I put it to the tune of Yakety Sax.
I hope you are able view the signs, and that you enjoy it!

So I had a pop show, but if it's a saxophone show, isn't it wierd that there is no jazz?
I had heard Tito Puente's version of Take Five, and I was absolutely entralled with it.
I was also a little worried about introducing jazz in a pop show.
The joke about Lucas not liking jazz is a lie, he loves jazz : )
I really liked this version, and it allowed people to dance a bit.
Take Five is in 5/4 time, but Tito Puente's version is solidly in 4, allowing people to dance salsa freely.

I really did raise emus. They have no fear of people. My family used to send me out by myself, because they were scared to feed the emus.
I had a few dangerous situations with the emus. But, they were also super fun. And when they wanted to be friendly, they were friendly. They loved to be sprayed with water. There were many other unusual things about them. They laid their eggs in the winter time, because they from Australia. The female emu is the dominant one-she is larger and more agressive.
The story about lassoing the emus is absolutely true. We had a neighbor that lived down the road who was a cowboy.
We called him up when the emus got out, and he rode down on his horse and lassoed them.
It's true I did have a lot of time on my hands in that place, and I learned a bunch of instruments.
This medley combines a couple different songs. First Mustang Sally, but with a different keyboard arrangement-something I came up with. Then we switched to Money-That's What I Want. Finally we finish with James Brown's I Feel Good.
I sing, play keys, and do the sax riff. But the keyboard has a job for this show. At the end of the medley, his job is to put the parka on top of me, the same way James Brown used to used to cape.
Please enjoy this medley!

This Spooky, originally by Buffalo Springfield, from the '60's.
We are doing an arrangement that is basically a copy of an arrangement by the sax player David Sanborn.
David Sanborn has been a HUGE influence on me.
When someone would ask me who my favorite musician is, I would say, I can't give you just one, but if you put a gun to my head, I would David Sanborn, The Beatles, and Jimi Hendrix.
David Sanborn inspired me so much. I didn't originally like the saxophone, I wanted to play an instrument that was "cool". But then I heard David Sanborn. His ability to play sooo smooth but also get sooo raunchy and dirty really inspired to do a similar thing. And as far as tone is concerned, I really have tried to copy David Sanborn.
I'll attach the lyrics, even though this version is designed without lyrics.
Lyrics:
In the cool of the evening
When everything is getting kind of groovy
You call me up and ask me
Would I like to go with you and see a movie?
First I say no, I've got some plans for tonight
And then I stop and say all right
Love is kind of crazy with a spooky little boy like you
You always keep me guessing
I never seem to know what you are thinking
And if a girl looks at you
It's for sure your little eye will be a-winking
I get confused, I never know where I stand
And then you smile and hold my hand
Love is kind of crazy with a spooky little boy like you
Spooky
If you decide some day to stop this little game that you are a-playing
I'm gonna tell you all the things my heart's been a-dying to be saying
Just like a ghost you've been a-haunting my dreams
But now I know you're not what you seem
Love is kind of crazy with a spooky little boy like you
Spooky
Ahh, ahh, spooky, mmm, spooky, ahh, ahh, ahh, spooky, ooh, spooky
Ahh, aah, aah, spooky

Santana's Smooth. Really this is a lift, we haven't really changed the arrangement except to put a sax on lead.
This was one of the opening songs from my show Just Sax.
I hope you enjoy!
I've attached the lyrics in case you want to follow them.
Lyrics:
Man, it's a hot one
Like seven inches from the midday sun
Well, I hear you whisper and the words melt everyone
But you stay so cool
My muñequita, my Spanish Harlem Mona Lisa
You're my reason for reason
The step in my groove
And if you said this life ain't good enough
I would give my world to lift you up
I could change my life to better suit your mood
Because you're so smooth
And it's just like the ocean under the moon
Oh, it's the same as the emotion that I get from you
You got the kind of lovin' that can be so smooth, yeah
Give me your heart, make it real, or else forget about it
But I'll tell you one thing
If you would leave it'd be a crying shame
In every breath and every word
I hear your name calling me out
Out from the barrio
You hear my rhythm on your radio
You feel the turning of the world, so soft and slow
It's turning you round and round
And if you said this life ain't good enough
I would give my world to lift you up
I could change my life to better suit your mood
Because you're so smooth
Well, and it's just like the ocean under the moon
Well, it's the same as the emotion that I get from you
You got the kind of lovin' that can be so smooth, yeah
Give me your heart, make it real, or else forget about it
Well, and it's just like the ocean under the moon
Oh, it's the same as the emotion that I get from you
You got the kind of lovin' that can be so smooth, yeah
Give me your heart, make it real, or else forget about it
Or else forget about it
Or else forget about it
Oh, let's don't forget about it
Give me your heart, make it real
Let's don't forget about it (hey)
Let's don't forget about it (now, oh, now, oh)
Let's don't forget about it (now, now, now, oh)
Let's don't forget about it (hey, now, now, oh)
Let's don't forget about it (hey, hey, hey)

This is absolutely one of my favorite modern pop songs.
I love the lyrics. They are so sad, but honest. I think these types of situations are so common these days.
Communication is the key, for almost everything.
This is an instrumental version, but I've attached the lyrics, because the lyrics are really great. This was performed at the Ritmo y Sabor restaurant.
Lyrics:
We don't talk anymore
We don't talk anymore
We don't talk anymore
Like we used to do
We don't love anymore
What was all of it for?
Oh, we don't talk anymore
Like we used to do
I just heard you found the one you've been looking
You've been looking for
I wish I would have known that wasn't me
'Cause even after all this time, I still wonder
Why I can't move on
Just the way you did so easily
Don't wanna know
Kind of dress you're wearing tonight
If he's holding onto you so tight
The way I did before
I overdosed
Should've known your love was a game
Now I can't get you out of my brain
Oh, it's such a shame
That we don't talk anymore
We don't talk anymore
We don't talk anymore
Like we used to do
We don't love anymore
What was all of it for?
Oh, we don't talk anymore
Like we used to do
I just hope you're lying next to somebody
Who knows how to love you like me
There must be a good reason that you're gone
Every now and then I think you might want me to
Come show up at your door
But I'm just too afraid that I'll be wrong
Don't wanna know
If you're looking into her eyes
If she's holding onto you so tight
The way I did before
I overdosed
Should've known your love was a game
Now I can't get you out of my brain
Oh, it's such a shame
That we don't talk anymore
We don't talk anymore
We don't talk anymore
Like we used to do
We don't love anymore
What was all of it for?
Oh, we don't talk anymore
Like we used to do
Like we used to do
Don't wanna know
Kind of dress you're wearing tonight
If he's giving it to you just right
The way I did before
I overdosed
Should've known your love was a game
Now I can't get you out of my brain
Oh, it's such a shame
That we don't talk anymore
We don't talk anymore
We don't talk anymore
Like we used to do
We don't love anymore
What was all of it for?
Oh, we don't talk anymore
Like we used to do
We don't talk anymore (don't wanna know)
Kind of dress you're wearing tonight (oh)
If he's holding onto you so tight (oh)
The way I did before
We don't talk anymore (I overdosed)
Should've known your love was a game (oh)
Now I can't get you out of my brain (whoa)
Oh, it's such a shame
That we don't talk anymore

This is what I finished my show, Just Sax, with. It's a classic groovy dance song.
Stevie Wonder's Superstition. Following continously in the idea to make a show of gritty rock pop sax.
This is a jam song, but I've attached the lyrics anyways.
Lyrics:
Very superstitious,
Writing's on the wall,
Very superstitious,
Ladders bout' to fall,
Thirteen month old baby,
Broke the lookin' glass
Seven years of bad luck,
The good things in your past
When you believe in things
That you don't understand,
Then you suffer,
Superstition aint the way
Hey
Very superstitious,
Wash your face and hands,
Rid me of the problem,
Do all that you can,
Keep me in a daydream,
Keep me goin' strong,
You don't wanna save me,
Sad is the soul
When you believe in things
That you don't understand,
Then you suffer,
Superstition ain't the way,
Yeh, yeh
Very superstitious,
Nothin' more to say,
Very superstitious,
The devil's on his way,
Thirteen month old baby,
Broke the lookin' glass,
Seven years of bad luck,
Good things in your past
When you believe in things
That you don't understand,
Then you suffer,
Superstition ain't the way,
No, no, no

The Classic Luis Miguel. I knew who Luis Miguel was, but I really knew almost none of his music.
That was until I went to live in Mexico.
I got a gig during the pandemic, in a hotel in the middle of nowhere.
I played for no one, in between the waves and the jungle.
I lived in a cabana, making friends with mosquitos and geckos.
This was where I learned much of my Mexican repetoire.
They told me Somos Novios was one of the songs I absolultely MUST learn.
Along with a few others.
So here it is, live from Ritmo y Sabor.
There are no lyrics but I've put the lyrics just in case you'd like them.
Lyrics:
Somos novios
Siempre novios, eh, eh y eh

This is the opening to my show, a Public Saxophone and Other Bedtime Stories.
I heard David's Guetta's The Rain which has a sickkkkk sax solo and intro at the top.
So I decided to use that as my intro. Entering from back of the house,
in a dinner theatre Supper Club. After that, it's just straight Tequila, no chaser.
The classic that we all love.

Titanium, by David Guetta and Sia.
I love this version with just piano, it really speaks to me the kind of emotional aspect that we can have.
This was filmed in the Ritmo y Sabor restaurant.
There are no lyrics, but I've attached the lyrics as well.
Lyrics:
You shout it out
But I can't hear a word you say
I'm talking loud not saying much
I'm criticized but all your bullets ricochet
You shot me down, but I get up
I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, you take your aim
Fire away, fire away
Shot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
Shot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
Cut me down
But it's you who'll have further to fall
Ghost town, haunted love
Raise your voice, but sticks and stones may break my bones
I'm talking loud not saying much
I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose
Fire away, fire away
Ricochet, take your aim
Fire away, fire away
Shot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
Shot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
I am titanium
I am titanium
Stone-hard, machine gun
Firing at the ones who run
Stone-hard as bulletproof vest
You shot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
Shot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
Shot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium
Shot me down but I won't fall
I am titanium

This story is also true.
I was in Victoria, Canada on the cruise ship, and they changed the back on board time after I got off the ship.
I had to take a bus, a ferry, another bus, and arrive to Vancouver, Canada in time to make the ship.
I had to make the ship because the next port was Los Angeles.
Usually people get fired for this, but in my case I became a living legend but I was the only person that missed the ship and didn't get fired :)
But it was quite exciting to run around Canada in the middle of the night without a passport trying to catch a cruise ship.
I chose Tico Tico as the soundtrack for this story because it sounds a little frantic, kind of like my experience.

This is Ordinary People by John Legend.
The first time I heard this song, it incredibly moved me.
As humans, we are really just all ordinary people, we don't know which way to go.
We are confused, in this hour of world confusion, it speaks worlds to me.
We need to have compassion for one another, and realize that we do our best, but at the end of the day we are human.
We make mistakes, and we are emotional.
I heard this as a saxophone version, and I thought it was great.
I decided I wanted to play it.
Please enjoy.
Here are the lyrics as well.
Lyrics:
Oh, oh, oh, oh
[Verse 1]
Girl, I'm in love with you
But this ain't the honeymoon
We're passed the infatuation phase
We're right in the thick of love
At times we get sick of love
It seems like we argue every day
I know I misbehaved
And you've made your mistakes
And we both still got room left to grow
And though love sometimes hurts
I still put you first
And we'll make this thing work
But I think we should take it slow
[Chorus]
We're just ordinary people
We don't know which way to go
'Cause we're ordinary people
Maybe we should take it slow
Take it slow, oh-oh, this time we'll take it slow
Take it slow, oh-oh, this time we'll take it slow
[Verse 2]
This ain't a movie, no
No fairytale conclusion, y'all
It gets more confusin' every day, oh
Sometimes it's Heaven sent
Then we head back to Hell again
We kiss, then we make up on the way
I hang up, you call
We rise and we fall
And we feel like just walkin' away
As our love advances
We take second chances
Though it's not a fantasy
I still want you to stay
[Chorus]
We're just ordinary people
We don't know which way to go
'Cause we're ordinary people
Maybe we should take it slow
Take it slow, oh-oh, this time we'll take it slow
Take it slow, oh-oh, yeah, this time we'll take it slow
Take it slow

Baby, you and I
[Outro]
We're just ordinary people

This is a jam that I created over Bruno Mars' Perm.
I added the beat from Michael Jackson's Billie Jean, and then the other instruments are looped over top.
I wanted to create a "live remix" which is kind of exactly what I have done.
Intended to be a little more popular than the standard house groove.
Here's the lyrics in case you want to follow along.
Lyrics:
Man, look at you, been walking in here
Looking all pretty and angry and mean and good (haha)
Now I know you didn't get your hair done
So you could just sit down and just sit still
Hey, we tryna have a good time tonight, let's go baby!
It's my birthday
(No, it's not)
But I still look good though
(Hot comb hot)
I bet you want an autograph
For you and your friends
Gotta do it in the penthouse
That's where I keep my pen
What you can't dance, ain't got rhythm?
What you got a man? I don't see you with him
Put your phone down, let's get it
Forget your Instagram and your Twitter
Got me like whoa, wait a minute
You need to take a minute
Loosen them shoulders up
Pour it up, let's work
Throw some perm on your attitude
Girl, you gotta relax (ooh)
Let me show you what you got to do
You gotta lay it back
Matter of fact, band, show her how to lay it back!
Show her how to lay it back
Show her how to lay it back
Ow, show her how to lay it back
Alright!
Come on baby, I love you
(No you don't)
You never know, I might though
Can't say I won't, ah
There's that smile I'm looking for
Was that so hard?
If you ever need to smile again girl, take my card
Razzle-dazzle, never gon' stop
What you want is what I got
You wanna get down? You gotta get up
Don't be stingy with your big ol' butt
You got a booty like whoa, wait a minute!
I'm just playing with you
Loosen them shoulders up
Pour it up, let's work
Throw some perm on your attitude
Girl, you gotta relax (ooh)
Let me show you what you got to do
You gotta lay it back
Matter of fact, band, show her how to lay it back!
Show her how to lay it back
Show her how to lay it back
Ow, show her how to lay it back
Alright!
Hey, now you got it baby
You tryna have some fun tonight
You just gotta follow these simple instructions, you ready?
You need to activate your sexy (activate your sexy)
Silky, smooth and snap (silky, smooth and snap)
Now lean with it (lean), throw a lil' sheen in it (sheen)
Then pat, pat, pat 'til it's flat
One more time, you need to activate your sexy (activate your sexy)
Silky, smooth and snap (silky, smooth and snap)
Now lean with it (lean), throw a lil' sheen in it (sheen)
Then pat, pat, pat 'til it's flat
I'll sing it again
Throw some perm on your attitude
Girl, you gotta relax
(Ooh)
Ooh, let me show you what you got to do
You gotta lay it back
Matter of fact, band, show her how to lay it back!
Show her how to lay it back
Show her how to lay it back, now
Ow, show her how to lay it back right now
Alright!

The theme to Sesame Street, a show many of you may have watched as kids.
The story at the beginning is true. I grew up in very remote parts of Alaska.
My only real connection with the outside world was a couple VHS videotapes that my grandma mailed to us, so we could watch them on our black and white TV.
Later on, my dad made a book about me. It describes the contrast between living in an extreme remote area, and the city, which was Anchorage, Alaska. The events described are a pretty real depiction of what it is like. He made the book by cutting up construction paper and arranging by color.
I decided to put Sesame Street with the book, as kind of a soundtrack, to describe the feeling of the experience.
The last slide is quintessential, NOW I PLAY SAX ON A BOAT.
Lyrics:
Sunny Day
Sweepin' the clouds away
On my way to where the air is sweet
Can you tell me how to get?
How to get to Sesame Street
Come and play
Everything's A-OK
Friendly neighbors there
That's where we meet
Can you tell me how to get
How to get to Sesame Street
It's a magic carpet ride
Every door will open wide
To happy people like you
Happy people like
What a beautiful
Sunny Day
Sweepin' the clouds away
On my way to where the air is sweet
Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame Street...
How to get to Sesame Street
How to get to...

A song by the band Clean Bandit from the UK. The first time I heard this song, it was their music video,
filmed in Japan, about a fan that starts hallucinating about the band.
I became moderately obsessed with this song and started listening to it every day.
I have done many versions of the song, some where I am beatboxing.
With this version, we tried simply to keep it close to the dance original just add saxophone as the melody.
There's no lyrics, but you can follow along anyways.

In my opinion this is one of Michael Jackson's masterpieces.
Honestly, he has so many, so realistically this is one of many.
This song almost makes me want to cry. Especially because it addresses racism. And I believe saxophone is a great fit for this song. I like the emotion portrayed with the sax.
There are no lyrics, but I've posted the lyrics here as well.
Lyrics:
I'm gonna make a change
For once in my life
It's gonna feel real good
Gonna make a difference
Gonna make it right
As I, turn up the collar on
My favorite winter coat
This wind is blowin' my mind
I see the kids in the street
With not enough to eat
Who am I, to be blind pretending not to see their needs?
A summer's disregard
A broken bottle top
And a one man's soul
They follow each other on the wind ya know
'Cause they got nowhere to go
That's why I want you to know
I'm starting with the man in the mirror
I'm asking him to change his ways
And no message could've been any clearer
If they wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change
I've been a victim of a selfish kind of love
It's time that I realize
That there are some with no home
Not a nickel to loan
Could it be really me pretending that they're not alone?
A willow deeply scarred
Somebody's broken heart
And a washed out dream (washed out dream)
They follow the pattern of the wind, ya see
'Cause they got no place to be
That's why I'm starting with me
I'm starting with the man in the mirror (oh)
I'm asking him to change his ways (oh)
And no message could've been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change
I'm starting with the man in the mirror (oh)
I'm asking him to change his ways (oh)
And no message could've been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make that
Change
I'm starting with the man in the mirror (oh yeah)
I'm asking him to change his ways (better change)
No message could've been any clearer
(If you wanna make the world a better place)
(Take a look at yourself and then make the change)
you can't
(Then you close your) close your, your mind
With the man in the mirror, oh yeah
I'm asking him to change his ways (better change)
No message could've been any clearer
If you wanna make the world a better place
Take a look at yourself and then make a change
gonna feel real good now
I'm gonna make a change
It's gonna feel real good
Come on (change)
Just lift yourself
You know
You've got to stop it
Yourself (yeah)
I've got to make that change today
(Man in the mirror) you got to
You got to not let yourself brother
(Yeah) you know
(Make that change) I've got to get that man, that man
You've got to
You've got to move
Come on
Come on
You got to
Stand up, stand up (yeah, make that change)
Stand up
Stand up and lift
Yourself, now
(Man in the mirror)
Gonna make that change come on
(Man in the mirror)
You know it
You know it
You know it
You know
Change
Make that change

Originally by Stevie Wonder, but covered by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, I tried to get both versions with this arrangement.
I wanted to get the rock sound, as well as the soul. This was originally written for sax trio with drums, but then I reochestrated it for a band with instrumental sax.
There are no lyrics in this verion, but I've posted the lyrics just in case.
Lyrics:
People keep on learnin'
Soldiers keep on warnin'
World keep on turnin'
'Cause it won't be too long
Powers keep on lyin', yeah
While your people keep on dyin'
World keep on turnin'
'Cause it won't be too long
Oh, no
I'm so darn glad He let me try it again
'Cause my last time on earth, I lived a whole world of sin
I'm so glad that I know more than I knew then
Gonna keep on tryin'
'Til I reach my highest ground
Lovers keep on lovin'
Believers keep on believin', um yeah
Sleepers just stop sleepin'
'Cause it won't be too long, oh, yeah, yeah
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah
I'm so darn glad He let me try it again
'Cause my last time on earth, I lived a whole world of sin
I'm so glad that I know more than I knew then
Gonna keep on tryin'
'Til I reach my highest ground, whoo
'Til I reach my higher ground, oh no
No one's gonna bring me down
They're sure gonna try

The joke at the top that I say, "Now we're going to play something by my favorite band, they're called the Beatles".
The Beatles are very possible my favorite band ever. However that is really debatable, because I like so much music.
I wanted to get that early rock and roll kind of sound, especially with the sax.

Lyrics:
Well, she was just seventeen
You know what I mean
And the way she looked
Was way beyond compare
So how could I dance with another
Ooh, when I saw her standing there?
Well, she looked at me
And I, I could see
That before too long
I'd fall in love with her
She wouldn't dance with another
Ooh, when I saw her standing there
Well, my heart went "boom"
When I crossed that room
And I held her hand in mine
Oh we danced through the night
And we held each other tight
And before too long
I fell in love with her
Now I'll never dance with another
Ooh, since I saw her standing there
Well, my heart went, "Boom"
When I crossed that room
And I held her hand in mine
Oh, we danced through the night
And we held each other tight
And before too long
I fell in love with her
Now I'll never dance with another
Oh, since I saw her standing there
Oh, since I saw her standing there
Yeah, well since I saw her standing there

Feeling Good is one of the most famous songs by Nina Simone.
It's only been recently that I've really gotten into Nina Simone.
Most people think of her as a singer, but she is actually originally a piano player.
She combines so many different styles of music.
I've played Feeling Good an uncountable amount of times on cruise ships,
so I decided to cover this song while I was performing at the restaurant Ritmo y Sabor.
This arrangement is the version of Michael Buble, which is also worth checking out.
There are no lyrics, but I've posted them just in case.
Lyrics:
Birds flying high
You know how I feel
Sun in the sky
You know how I feel
Breeze driftin' on by
You know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good
I'm feeling good
Fish in the sea
You know how I feel
River running free
You know how I feel
Blossom on a tree
You know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good
Dragonfly out in the sun, you know what I mean, don't you know
Butterflies all havin' fun, you know what I mean
Sleep in peace when day is done, that's what I mean
And this old world is a new world
And a bold world
For me
For me
Stars when you shine
You know how I feel
Scent of the pine
You know how I feel
Oh, freedom is mine
And I know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good
I'm feeling good
I feel so good
I feel so good

I first heard a saxophone version of this song from Matt Corey.
He has a great show. He basically just takes pop songs, makes a great arrangement, groove, and then improvises over top.
This to me, this is basically a modern continuation of Jazz.
So I wanted to do an arrangement that was similar.
Just pop and dance music, fronted by a saxophone.
Even though it's instrumental, I've included the lyrics.
Lyrics:
Greetings loved ones
Let's take a journey
I know a place
Where the grass is really greener
Warm, wet n' wild
There must be something in the water
Sippin' gin and juice
Laying underneath the palm trees
(Undone)
The boys
Break their necks
Try'na to creep a little sneak peek
(At us)
You could travel the world
But nothing comes close
To the golden coast
Once you party with us
You'll be falling in love
Ooh oh ooh oh oh ooh
California girls
We're unforgettable
Daisy dukes
Bikinis on top
Sun-kissed skin
So hot
We'll melt your popsicle
Ooh oh ooh
Ooh oh ooh
California girls
We're undeniable
Fine, fresh, fierce
We got it on lock
West coast represent
Now put your hands up
Ooh oh ooh
Ooh oh ooh
Sex on the beach
We don't mind sand in our stilettos
We freak
In my jeep
Snoop doggy-dog on the stereo oh oh
You could travel the world
But nothing comes close
To the golden coast
Once you party with us
You'll be falling in love
Ooh oh ooh ooh oh ooh
California girls
We're unforgettable
Daisy dukes
Bikinis on top
Sun-kissed skin
So hot
We'll melt your popsicle
Ooh oh ooh
Ooh oh ooh
California girls
We're undeniable
Fine, fresh, fierce
We got it on lock
West coast represent
Now put your hands up
Ooh oh ooh
Ooh oh ooh
Toned, tan
Fit and ready
Turn it up 'cause its gettin' heavy
Wild, wild west coast
These are the girls I love the most
I mean the ones
I mean like she's the one
Kiss her, touch her
Squeeze her buns
The girl's a freak
She drive a jeep
And live on the beach
I'm okay
I won't play
I love the bay
Just like I love L.A.
Venice Beach
And Palm Springs
Summertime is everything
Home boys
Bangin' out
All that ass
Hanging out
Bikinis, zucchinis, martinis
No weenies
Just a king
And a queenie
Katy my lady
(Yeah)
And looky here baby
(Uh huh)
I'm all up on ya
'Cause you representing California (oh yeah)
California girls
We're unforgettable

Fine, fresh, fierce

The story in this completely true.
I was on tour with a reggae band. We stopped in Austin, Texas. There was a Texas thunderstorm going on.
We walked downtown. We saw a man walking his dog. On top of the dog was a cat. On top of the cat was a white rat.
So it was a rat on top of a cat on top of a dog walking through downtown Austin in the middle of a thunderstorm. Not making it up.
This gives me a chance to really use my harmonica skills. I'm personally a huge fan of Stevie Ray Vaughn. We wanted to do some Texas blues in honor of Austin.
Lyrics:
Well, you've heard about love givin' sight to the blind
My baby lovin' cause the sun to shine
She my sweet little thing
She my pride and joy
She my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy
Yeah, I love my baby
Heart and soul
Love like ours won't never grow old
She my sweet little thing
She my pride and joy
She my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy
Yeah, I love my Lenee
She long and lean
You mess with her
You'll see a man get mean
She my sweet little thing
She my pride and joy
She my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy
Well, I love my baby
Like the finest wine
Stick with her until the end of time
She my sweet little thing
She my pride and joy
She my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy
Yeah, I love my baby
Heart and soul
Love like ours won't never grow old
She my sweet little thing
She my pride and joy
She my sweet little baby
I'm her little lover boy

I love this song. I had a CD of Funk songs growing up, and this was one of my favorites.
I am also on my mission to make the saxophone as funky and dirty as possible. I wanted to do it instrumental, so that sax basically functions as a voice.
This features Mike Hurlehy on guitar. Rock out!
There's no lyrics, but I'll post them so you can follow along to the melody.
Lyrics:
Play that funky music
Play that funky music, white boy
Play that funky music
Play that funky music, white boy
I'm back and I'm ringin' the bell
A rockin' on the mike while the fly girls yell
In ecstasy in the back of me
Well that's my DJ Deshay cuttin' all them Z's
Hittin' hard and the girlies goin' crazy
Vanilla's on the mike, man I'm not lazy.
I'm lettin' my drug kick in
It controls my mouth and I begin
To just let it flow, let my concepts go
My posse's to the side yellin', Go Vanilla Go!
Smooth 'cause that's the way I will be
And if you don't give a damn, then
Why you starin' at me
So get off 'cause I control the stage
There's no dissin' allowed
I'm in my own phase
The girlies sa y they love me and that is ok
And I can dance better than any kid n' play
Play that funky music Come on Come on
Play that funky music, white boy I can't hear you, say it,
Play that funky music say it, say it, say
Play that funky music, white boy it, come on
Yea, a
little bit louder
now come on, come on
Stage 2 -- Yea the one ya' wanna listen to
It's off my head so let the beat play through
So I can funk it up and make it sound good
1-2-3 Yo -- Knock on some wood
For good luck, I like my rhymes atrocious
Supercalafragilisticexpialidocious
I'm an effect and that you can bet
I can take a fly girl and make her wet.
I'm like Samson -- Samson to Delilah
There's no denyin', You can try to hang
But you'll keep tryin' to get my style
Over and over, practice makes perfect
But not if you're a loafer.
You'll get nowhere, no place, no time, no girls
Soon -- Oh my God, homebody, you probably eat
Spaghetti with a spoon! Come on and say it!
Play that funky music
Play that funky music, white boy
Play that funky music Come on Come on
Play that funky music white boy Let's do it
VIP. Vanilla Ice yep, yep, I'm comin' hard like a rhino
Intoxicating so you stagger like a wino
So punks stop trying and girl stop cryin'
Vanilla Ice is sellin' and you people are buyin'
'Cause why the freaks are jockin' like Crazy Glue
Movin' and groovin' trying to sing along
All through the ghetto groovin' this here song
Now you're amazed by the VIP posse.
Steppin' so hard like a German Nazi
Startled by the bases hittin' ground
There's no trippin' on mine, I'm just gettin' down
Sparkamatic, I'm hangin' tight like a fanatic
You trapped me once and I thought that
You might have it
So step down and lend me your ear
'89 in my time! You, '90 is my year.
Play that funky music
Play that funky music, white boy
Play that funky music Come on, Come on, I
Play that funky music white boy can't hear you
You're weakenin' fast, YO! and I can tell it
Your body's gettin' hot, so, so I can smell it
So don't be mad and don't be sad
'Cause the lyrics belong to ICE, You can call me Dad
You're pitchin' a fit, so step back and endure
Let the witch doctor, Ice, do the dance to cure
So come up close and don't be square
You wanna battle me -- Anytime, anywhere
You thought that I was weak, Boy, you're dead wrong
So come on, everybody and sing this song
Say -- Play that funky music Say, go white boy, go white boy go
play that funky music Go white boy, go white boy, go
Lay down and boogie and play that funky music till you die.
Play that funky music Come on, Come on, let me hear
Play that funky music white boy you say it, say it
Play that funky music A little louder now
Play that funky music, white boy Come on, Come on, Come on
Play that funky music

This is sort of joke, because I was born in Alaska, so I was Born to be Wild.
But I have sooo many wild stories from Alaska. Of living in incredibly remote places.
Where there is nothing except nature. It's beautiful. Really I think it's something many of us strive for,
to be free. To be, really wild. This is why so many people are drawn to Alaska.
I wrote this version as a mashup between the version by Steppenwolf, and the version by Wilson Pickett.
I mashed the two of them together. I also stole a riff from Guns and Roses Sweet Child of Mine at the end to make it truly Rock and Roll.
Who says you can't play rock and roll on a sax? I truly think I do it justice :)
There are no lyrics in this version, but I'll put them here anyways:
Lyrics:
Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Looking for adventure
In whatever comes our way
Yeah, darlin' gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space
I like smoke and lightnin'
Heavy metal thunder
Racing with the wind
And the feeling that I'm under
Yeah, darlin' gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space
Like a true nature's child
We were born
Born to be wild
We can climb so high
I never wanna die
Born to be wild
Born to be wild
Get your motor runnin'
Head out on the highway
Looking for adventure
In whatever comes our way
Yeah, darlin' gonna make it happen
Take the world in a love embrace
Fire all of your guns at once
And explode into space
Like a true nature's child
We were born
Born to be wild
We can climb so high
I never wanna die
Born to be wild
Born to be wild

One of the classics on sax. I had never heard of this song until an old British guy came up to me on a cruise ship and asked me to play it.
He was amazed that I had never heard of it. But I really grew to love this song.
The story goes that the main riff of the song was supposed to be recorded on guitar,
but the guitarist didn't show up, so they recorded on saxophone instead.
This was filmed at Ritmo y Sabor restaurant. About 300 yards away is the beach.
This is an instrumental version, but I will post the lyrics anyways.
Lyrics:
Winding your way down on Baker Street
Light in your head and dead on your feet
Well, another crazy day
You'll drink the night away
And forget about ev'rything
This city desert makes you feel so cold
It's got so many people, but it's got no soul
And it's taken you so long
To find out you were wrong
When you thought it held everything
You used to think that it was so easy
You used to say that it was so easy
But you're tryin', you're tryin' now
Another year and then you'd be happy
Just one more year and then you'd be happy
But you're cryin', you're cryin' now
Way down the street there's a light in his place
He opens the door, he's got that look on his face
And he asks you where you've been
You tell him who you've seen
And you talk about anything
He's got this dream about buying some land
He's gonna give up the booze and the one-night stands
And then he'll settle down
In some quiet little town
And forget about ev'rything
But you know he'll always keep movin'
You know he's never gonna stop movin'
'Cause he's rollin', he's the rolling stone
When you wake up, it's a new mornin'
The sun is shinin', it's a new mornin'
You're goin', you're goin' home

Part of my jam session with myself :)
I wanted to do a version of Careless Whisper that was different.
We are so used to hearing the ordinary George Michael version,
or maybe we'll hear a saxophone cover it exactly the same.
I wanted to do something different. I made an original beat,
and then I put the bass and keys over top. I want to give it more of a feeling of slow R&B,
romantic. I know the song is about an affair, but I wanted to make it about love.
And the sax on top plays the sax riff, the melody, and then improvises.
This is part of a larger session that involved many songs, this is just one.

I lived in Argentina for about 8 years. Note the tango while I'm telling the story.
It opened up my mind to so many things.
It started out as a pretty crazy trip, and it continued to be a crazy trip :)
My band is all from Colombia. Some of my best friends are from Colombia :)
I wrote this version as sort of a mashup of styles.
Obvious the Beatles wrote this song, and then I heard Tito Puente do it and I thought it was incredible.
Also, I felt that it needed some influence from rock and hip-hop.
The two artists that really came to mind were Santana and Jay-Z.
The rap in the middle is original, written by me, I hope my Spanish isn't too terrible.
This song is a great inspiration to me. In this crazy world, it reminds us that we are much more similar than we are different.
And we need to Come Together, and understand each other.
Here come old flat top
He come grooving up slowly
He got joo joo eyeball
He one holy roller
He got hair down to his knee
Got to be a joker he just do what he please
He wear no shoe shine
He got toe jam football
He got monkey finger
He shoot Coca-Cola
He say I know you, you know me
One thing I can tell you is you got to be free
Come together, right now, over me
Rap:
Vamos Juntos, adelante
Vengan cerca, escuchan las parlantes
Estamos en el mudno
No es tan profundo
Quedamos en un barco
Por un momento muy corto
Somos diferente en cuerpo y en mente
Somos distinto pero es casi lo mismo
Vengan cerca, escuchan las parlantes
Estamos en el mundo
Vamos juntos!
He bag production
He got walrus gumboot
He got Ono sideboard
He one spinal cracker
He got feet down below his knee
Hold you in his armchair you can feel his disease
Come together, right now, over me
He roller coaster
He got early warning
He got muddy water
He one mojo filter
He say, "one and one and one is three"
Got to be good looking 'cause he's so hard to see
Come together, right now, over me
Oh
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah
Oh
Come together, yeah
Come together, yeah

An instrumental sax version of Shawn Mendes' (with Camila Cabello) Senorita, performed at the restaurante Ritmo y Sabor.
I really love this song, and I especially love the way it sounds on sax.
I really hope you enjoy this version.
Thanks for listening!
Lyrics:
I love it when you call me señorita
I wish I could pretend I didn't need ya
But every touch is ooh, la-la-la
It's true, la-la-la
Ooh, I should be running
Ooh, you keep me coming for ya
Land in Miami
The air was hot from summer rain
Sweat dripping off me
Before I even knew her name, la-la-la
It felt like ooh, la-la-la
Yeah, no
Sapphire moonlight
We danced for hours in the sand
Tequila sunrise
Her body fit right in my hands, la-la-la
It felt like ooh, la-la-la, yeah
I love it when you call me señorita
I wish I could pretend I didn't need ya
But every touch is ooh, la-la-la
It's true, la-la-la
Ooh, I should be running
Ooh, you know I love it when you call me señorita
I wish it wasn't so damn hard to leave ya
But every touch is ooh, la-la-la
It's true, la-la-la
Ooh, I should be running
Ooh, you keep me coming for ya
Locked in the hotel
There's just some things that never change
You say we're just friends
But friends don't know the way you taste, la-la-la
'Cause you know it's been a long time coming
Don't you let me fall, oh
Ooh, when your lips undress me
Hooked on your tongue
Ooh, love, your kiss is deadly
Don't stop
I love it when you call me señorita
I wish I could pretend I didn't need ya
But every touch is ooh, la-la-la
It's true, la-la-la
Ooh, I should be running
Ooh, you know I love it when you call me señorita
I wish it wasn't so damn hard to leave ya
But every touch is ooh, la-la-la
It's true, la-la-la (true, la-la)
Ooh, I should be running
Ooh, you keep me coming for ya
All along I've been coming for ya (for ya)
And I hope it meant something to ya (ooh)
Call my name, I'll be coming for ya
Coming for ya, coming for ya, coming for ya
For ya
For ya (oh, she loves it when I call)
For ya
Ooh, I should be running
Ooh, you keep me coming for ya

A live mix of Duffy's Mercy. I included my live instrument looping to create a mashup.
I first make a groove using bass and keys, then start Duffy, and add harmonica, and sax.
Similar to a DJ remix, just done with live instruments. I use Ableton Live to combine everything.
Lyrics:
Hit the beat
And take it to the verse, now
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I love you
But I gotta stay true
My morals got me on my knees
I'm begging, please, stop playing games
I don't know what this is
'Cause you got me good
Just like you knew you would
I don't know what you do
But you do it well
I'm under your spell
You got me begging you for mercy (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Why won't you release me? (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
You got me begging you for mercy (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Why won't you release me? (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
I said release me (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Now you think that I
Will be something on the side
But you got to understand
That I need a man
Who can take my hand, yes I do
I don't know what this is
'Cause you got me good
Just like you knew you would
I don't know what you do
But you do it well
I'm under your spell
You got me begging you for mercy (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Why won't you release me? (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
You got me begging you for mercy (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Why won't you release me? (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
I said you'd better release (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I'm begging you for mercy
You look at me and think we're the same kind
'Cause you don't know what I got and
Yes, why won't you release me?
I'm gonna get more than I'm asking for
But I just don't want to waste my time
I'm begging you for mercy
You know that I'll be the other girl
Just like there's nothing in this world
You got me begging
I know that I'm gonna get me some
I just don't know where to get it from
You got me begging
You got me begging
Mercy (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Why won't you release me? (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
I'm begging you for mercy (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Why won't you release me? (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
You got me begging you for mercy (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
I'm begging you for mercy (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
I'm begging you for mercy (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
I'm begging you for mercy (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
I'm begging you for mercy (Yeah, yeah, yeah)
Why won't you release me, yeah! yeah!
Break it down
Mercy, begging you for mercy
You got me begging
Down on my knees
You got me begging
Begging you for mercy
You got me begging
Eeeeh, eeeeh
Eeeh, oooh

Happy by Pharrell Williams, as an instrumental sax version.
Complete with crowd interaction, moving in and out of the audience.
Also features Franz the keyboard player on a rendition of Toccata and Fugue :)
I really like this song, I think it connects people all around the world,
helping us to realize positivity.
Lyrics:
It might seem crazy what I am 'bout to say
Sunshine, she's here, you can take a break
I'm a hot air balloon that could go to space
With the air, like I don't care, baby by the way
Huh (Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do
Here come bad news talking this and that (Yeah)
Well give me all you got, don't hold back (Yeah)
Well I should probably warn you I'll be just fine (Yeah)
No offense to you don't waste your time
Here's why
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do
Uh, bring me down
Can't nothing, bring me down
My level's too high to bring me down
Can't nothing, bring me down, I said
Bring me down, can't nothing
Bring me down
My level's too high to bring me down
Can't nothing, bring me down, I said
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do
Uh, bring me down (Happy, happy, happy, happy)
Can't nothing (Happy, happy, happy, happy)
Bring me down, my level's too high
To bring me down (Happy, happy, happy, happy)
Can't nothing (Happy, happy, happy, happy)
Bring me down, I said
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you (ayy, ayy, ayy)
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you (hey)
(Because I'm happy)
Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do

An original beat dedicated to an incredible person that i got to share some of my life with.
Filmed in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
https://3speak.tv/watch?v=cooperwhite/gtokxmpa
Filmed in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with my friend Yanina.
We filmed many songs, this is Bill Withers' Ain't No Sunshine.
We filmed in a garage to give the kind of vibe we were looking for.
We filmed everything twice because we only had one camera, haha.
The beat is mine, and of course the instruments as well.
Lyrics:
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
Wonder if she's gone to stay
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone
This house just ain't no home
anytime she goes away

This is Bill Withers' Ain't No Sunshine.
We filmed this in Buenos Aires, Argentina. My friend Yanina is on vocals.
We filmed it in a garage because we wanted that smoky vibe.
We had to film everything twice because we only had one camera!
It of course features me on bass, keys, and sax. We are also using one of my original beats.
Please enjoy!

Wonder this time where she's gone
Wonder if she's gone to stay
Ain't no sunshine when she's gone

This is an original beat that I created. It is based slightly on the song Low Rider, so I named it LA Sunshine after the band War from Los Angeles.
War was an interesting band. They fused funk and latin music to create a completely different sound.
As well, their "horn section" is a harmonica player and a sax player. Very unique.
I filmed this while living in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. I'm just doing some improvising over top of the beat. The beat was created on Maschine Mikro.

You will see my show in action, but this time mixing in popular songs,
like Bruno Mars, Duffy, Katy Perry, and many more.
I'm using a looper, and combining these pop tracks with house tracks,
and my original beats.
With the looper, I'm combining sax, bass, keys, harmonica, and flute to create an amazing experience,
with only one person!
Please enjoy, or share with friends for a party!

This is a four square video I made during lockdown in Anchorage.
Everything is original, I love to make videos like this.
I also like to change shirts for every video :)

This is a little snippet of the show that I was part of for three years.
It's a rock musical based on the movies of John Hughes, like The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueler, St. Elmo's Fire, Wierd Science, etc.
It was super fun because the sax player was a character in the show. The sax player is a student that shows up in various parts of the show.
The music is all music from the 80's, much of it falling in the category of New Wave. David Bowie was some of my favorite music from the show.
In addition to costumes, I had have makeup, and change my hair. I had to wear rocker eyeliner, and for the first six months I had a mohawk, after that I dyed my hair half green and half blue.
They would fly us to Los Angeles for rehearsals, which was amazing. We got to stay in a huge house in Hollywood. Then, they would fly us to a cruise ship, where we would perform for six months.
It was an unforgettable experience, one that I will remember forever.

I filmed this video right outside of the town of Whittier.
This is with one of my original beats.
This is another one of the short videos I filmed during lockdown in Alaska,
combining nature with my original beats.

Jungle Sax!!! Was the inspiration of sax player Lenny Pickett, and then I arranged the songs myself.
We did Stevie Wonder's Higher Ground, and Jimi Hendrix's Fire.
The name Jungle Sax inspired costumes, so we decided to all dress up with whatever we had.
One of us is wearing a toga, the other wearing snorkeling gear, and I am wearing a parka.
The drummer is wearing winter clothing also.
We performed the show while working on a cruise ship.
The show was part of a captains meeting, where all the crewmembers come together.
As such, we decided it would be a good idea to run through the crowd.
I hope you enjoy... JUNGLE SAX!!!

This is a video I made in Alaska during lockdown.
This is filmed in Anchorage, Alaska, and features me on all the instruments.
This song is from a famous album called Alaska Hit Singles featuring many comical songs about Alaska.
I wanted to incorporate the scenery of Alaska in the video.
Lyrics:
I hates the man
That said all bears shit in the woods
Cuz I don't
Rar! Cuz I'm a polar Bear

I filmed this in Alaska, on the Trail of Blue Ice.
It's about one hour from Anchorage, its a nice trail with scenic mountains.
I filmed this clip right as the sun was dipping.
Interesting to know though, the light really never leaves in the summertime in Alaska.
The sun might leave for a few hours, but the twilight/half-light remains.
I put this clip with one of my original beats, called Train Man, which was inspired by a section from the move The Matrix.
I made this beat with the Maschine Mikro, which is amazing for music beat production.
This is one of a series of videos to combine my original beats with shots from nature.

This is a medley that I wrote, entitled Sax for Money.
It's part of my show, A Public Saxophone and Other Bedtime Stories, which I also recommend checking out, it's a great show

The joke with this medley is that these are the songs that I play for money, and this is how I can afford to travel so much.
Let's see if you recognize all the songs, but I'll list them here as well:
Careless Whisper-George Michael
Just the Two of Us-Bill Withers/Grover Washington Jr
Just the Way You Are-Billie Joel
Pick Up The Pieces-Average White Band
Let me Clear My Throat-DJ Kool
Thrift Shop-Macklemore
I'm Worth It-Fifth Harmony
Talk Dirty-Jason Derulo
Problem-Ariana Grande
GDFR-Flo Rida
Smooth Operator-Sade
Pink Panther-Henry Mancini
Ants Marching-Dave Matthews Band
Baker Street-Gerry Rafferty
Calabria-Enur
Saxo Beat-Alexandra Stan
Who Could it Be Now?-Men at Work
The Heat is On-Glenn Frey
Born to Run-Bruce Springsteen

I wrote the song to myself, to remind myself to believe in myself.
This is especially important in the music industry, but important for everyone in everything they do.
Sometimes we doubt ourselves, it's important to believe in yourself, and that you will make it.
With this song, I wanted to replace singing vocals with saxophone, similar to a pop song where the vocalist sings the chorus with a rap breakdown. I originally wrote lyrics for the sax melody. So the sax is basically functioning as the singer.
The beat/track was created by me in Logic. I also used other programs like Reason. The guitar was recorded by Garreth Gittins from England.
The video was filmed on a cruise ship in Santorini, Greece and in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I had a lot of help with the filming from Brayden Kyle Clark from Calgary, Canada.
The Buenos Aires section I filmed myself. I got a friend Ella Virtanen from Finland to be part of the video and we filmed in front of La Flor in Buenos Aires and in the Japanese Garden. The city scenes I got by getting in a taxi and driving around the city in circles a few times.
I did all the video editing myself. The point of the girl was that there was something/someone mysterious that you never really get to see their face until the end.
I wanted to use different effects to try make the video a little psychedelic. The glasses are very John Lennon, which also reminds us to Imagine.
The second rap with filmed in my apartment. I wanted to line up the shots like a record scratching.
I hope you enjoy!
Here are the lyrics so you can read along
You’re gonna make it
You know that it’s true
You’re gonna make it so believe in you
I’m not trying to be a playing
I know what I’m a saying
I’m not coming of nothing cuz I know I’m something
You think you got it
I know that you got it
Guide in you and ain’t nothing can’t stop it
It’s all gonna come
So do it for the fun
Just let it go
Believe in You
Drive it like you stole it
Man just like I told ya
Take the world and own it
Ain’t nothing can control you
You begin to win, and you see it til the end
Follow what I’m saying, if you get it tell a friend
Losing without choosing it ain’t something that you want
Mind over matter, it’s like a deck of cards
Thinking and believing what you think is what will be
Follow all your dreams, let your mind be free
You’re gonna make it, you know that it’s true
You’re gonna make it, you know that it’s true
You’re gonna make it so believe in you
You’re gonna make it so believe in you
You’re gonna make it so believe in you
You’re gonna make it so believe in you

Here is my cover of War's Low Rider. Filmed on cruise ship.
The background you see is Salento, Italy.
I decided to change shirts for every different part of the song haha.
Yours truly on beatbox, keys, bass, sax, harmonica, and voice.
All my friends know the low rider
The low rider is a little higher
Low rider drives a little slower
Low rider is a real goer
Low rider knows every street, yeah
Low rider is the one to meet, yeah
Low rider don't use no gas now
Low rider don't drive too fast
Take a little trip, take a little trip
Take a little trip and see
Take a little trip, take a little trip
Take a little trip with me

This was filmed near the Byron Glacier in Alaska. It's a couple hours away from Anchorage. The glacier is really incredible because you can actually walk inside the ice caves!
Super fun. I decided to couple it with one of my original beats. This beat is called San Francisco.

Stand By Me clip featuring yours truly on all the instruments. This is was created in a sound booth in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The neighbors got tired of me practicing so we built this. This is the first video that I made. I'm using Ableton Live as the primary looper. The beat I made with Maschine Native Instruments.

An original song featuring me on all the instruments. Electronic soul jazz. This was recorded in Anchorage Alaska during lockdown. I stayed with my dad in a house in the forest for 8 months. It was great to be in nature. This video is dedicated to a dear friend of mine that died that year. His name is Richard Benneville, he was the mayor of Nome Alaska, a town where I lived. He had a great story. He was an actor, and had worked in New York on broadway. He became an alcoholic and moved to Alaska. There he started a new life. He was a huge inspiration for me. He told me, dream big, but don't worry if you don't get exactly where you want, because you'll get somewhere, and you be proud of how far you came. This is an original beat, and the song was written by me. I recorded it on a cruise ship in Europe, and first performed it off the coast of Brazil while performing on a yacht for Carnival. It still doesn't have lyrics, maybe some day.

Electronic Soul Jazz. A combination of house music and original beats.
with live looping on sax, bass, keys, flute, and harmonica. Filmed in Quintana Roo, Mexico. I was performing in a hotel in the small beach town of Mahahual. A friend of mine and I decided to film this video. We needed to have a super long cable to reach to the end of the dock. But everything went well, and this is the video that you see here.
