Linda Stanbridge is no stranger to Project Zion Podcast. As an advocate for Harmony and the LGBTQIA+ community and as a minister of invitation, Linda has had lots of great things to share ... all of which have been laced with personal stories and passion. But there’s more to Linda’s story. She is back again, but this time it’s all about her personal faith transition story ... a story of searching for and finding a community that offered “a God that she could love,” and that, because of the ordination of women (among other things), has created a place for her to express her giftedness and caring ministry... especially for the marginalized.Download Transcript

Mags Edvalson, a convert to Community of Christ, struggled to find her place in the LDS church as an asexual young adult. In addition to brushing up against strict gender roles and expectations, Mags found issues with other contemporary teachings in Mormonism. Her involvement in Community of Christ has taken her to Kirtland and Independence, and she has been able to reconcile her sexuality, spiritual autonomy, and interest in church history in her new church home.

Evan Sharley joined Community of Christ without ever meeting anyone in the church face to face. After years of deconstructing and reconstructing his faith, he was reintroduced to the church through online forums. While connecting online with various congregations and groups during the pandemic, Evan was able to recognize this church as a place he could live out his discipleship.
