There's also plenty of other news, including sales data, Doug Bowser stepping down, and a couple of game delays - including Borderlands 4. We're also playing of games, from the horror-fueled Cronos to Wild Hearts S, plus plenty of RPGs in between. Last week, Nintendo treated us to yet another Nintendo Direct, this time an Indie World Showcase. The presentation squeezed 18 indie games into 15 minutes, including Mira the Hollower, UFO 50, Well Dweller, Ultimate Sheep Raccoon, Herdling, Undusted, Go-Go Town, and much more. We go through the entire list and give our thoughts on this exciting batch of Switch and Switch 2 titles.
This week, Jem, Kirk, and Trev delve into the latest Partner Showcase from Nintendo, which aired 31 July. The presentation delivered news on 26 games, with 14 of those for Switch 2. We go through our high (and low) points. There's some exciting new content, some ports, and plenty in between. We'd love to hear thoughts on the Partner Showcase,too, so let us know!

It's an exciting time to be a fan of the series, and we love talking about it as we begin the long journey back into Hyrule!
This week's all-star lineup features Jemma, Trev, Kirk, and Justin as we discuss our theories, hopes, and dreams for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. The long-awaited sequel to Breath of the Wild is almost upon us, and we dedicate this show to discussing everything we know so far, from where those Sky Islands come from to whether the game is set before or after BotW. Trev, Jem, and Barry dissect the final Tears of the Kingdom trailer, shadow-dropped by Nintendo late last week. We talk about the mysterious Nintendo Live 2023 event due in September, speculating about what it means and what fans can expect. Finally, Barry runs through the latest gems to receive the Premium Edition treatment, from a brand-new NES title called Bobby Six Seven to a Zelda-esque dungeon-maker called Super Dungeon Maker that seems too good to be true. There's also a new Kickstarter to get excited about, plus much more!

Two more dropped recently, and we're both more excited than ever to see the movie when it comes out in April (arguably, Jemma was always this excited about it). A new wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe tracks dropped recently and we discuss these in detail. This batch is our favorite to date, with a Christmas-themed track that makes us smile. Which is your favorite track?

We're loving our indie games at the moment, with quirky, fun titles like Inscryption, Buddy Simulator 1984, and Once Upon a Jester providing weirdness, cereepiness, and laughs respectively. It's that crazy time of year again! This week Roger and Jemma talk about Black Friday - what does the day even mean? And are there any good sales on the Nintendo eShop?
The biggest news from the team this week is the release of our latest issue of Pure Nintendo Magazine. This issue is all about Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, with a cover story co-written by Jemma herself along with her colleague Cody.
This leads the pair into a discussion of the games we're playing lately. Sadly, neither of us have managed to pick up Pokémon Scarlet/Violet just yet (we'll revisit that topic next week). Thankfully, another Japanese-themed game has had Jemma enamored. Yes, it's a little game about big monsters, something called Ultra Kaiju Monster Rancher. And it's really good.
Roger also delves into his latest gaming review, a quirky little title called Once Upon a Jester. This interesting-sounding game is full of humor and Roger works hard at convincing Jemma it's worth a play. Spoiler alert: she didn't take much convincing.

Roger has been playing the likes of Fall Guys, even completing a group challenge - nice work! He's also been getting into the latest Shovel Knight outing, Shovel Knight Dig. This game takes our "Mario of the series" to the place he belongs: underground. Yes, it's all about digging for treasure, as a knight weilding a shovel is wont to do.
Finally, we touch on the latest Sonic title, with Sonic Frontiers hitting the Switch this week. Is this a game we'll be playing? Do we think it will do well? Again - time will tell!

Welcome to another episode of The Pure Nintendo Podcast! This week we continue our discussion on those addictive amiibo, with a few new additions to Jemma’s collection. She’s reached the 30 mark now – will she be overtaking Roger anytime soon?
Jemma and Roger also discuss which franchises they’ve somehow missed over the years, from Splatoon to Sonic the Hedgehog. So many games, so little time.
We do a deep dive into the many games we’ve been playing lately, including some review games. There’s a wide variety to choose from, including the beat ‘em up stylings of River City Saga to the platforming nuances of Dyna Bomb 2. This leads into a look at the importance of good marketing for games.
Roger debriefs us on his latest review games, including the interesting-sounding Circus Electrique, as well as the newly released Disney Dreamlight Valley. We talk in-depth about this one, which seems to be one of the bigger releases of the year, at least from Disney’s perspective.
