In this episode I featured several charismatic leaders speaking in tongues and tested their tongues with Language Identification Software. In every case the tongues were false. This is proof that the modern charismatic tongues are not the same tongues spoken of in the Bible. This is part of the Great Deception of the last days with great false signs and wonders. These tongues are powered by the wrong spirit, the spirit of demons.

The church is full of men that do not fulfill their God-given responsibilities to provide, teach and protect their families. These passive men love their sports, hobbies and pornography more than God or their wives and children. The church is full of corruption because these passive, selfish so-called Christian men have not stood up and confronted falsehood or false teachers in the church, but have just sat by and allowed the American church to fall into apostacy. As a result they have become worse than an unbeliever. So, where are the real men of God today?

The modern gospel promotes a false idea that you can just have an easy "believism" of God and be saved without any thing else being required. Often you hear "faith only" or "Jesus plus nothing" or "grace only" or "just believe", etc. and you will be saved unconditionally. None of these concepts are based from biblical studies but come from the traditions and teachings of men and are deadly to the soul if the other requirements for salvation are met.
Biblical grace is very different that the teachings and treaditions of men in the modern American Church.
Religious traditions overtake most people because "this is what we have always done", without any consideration of what the bible actually says. The danger is when teachings about salvation are accepted because this is "what we have always believed" without checking the scriptures and people are mislead into believing falsehoods and lose their souls.

We used to be a Christian country. But look at us now. The moral depravity, the greed for material possessions, the obession for godless entertainment, the disregard for the things of God and the terrible condition of the church.

So, what has happened to our modern-day “Christianity” is that the serpent (Satan) has led the minds of our modern church leaders and members astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ by creating all of this “Christian” confusion, complication and chaos with many denominations, many ways to heaven, and with many different “jesuses.”

Remember that the modern American Christian church is full of sin and worldliness. Today's church uses grace as a license for sin and teaches the easy escapism doctrine of the rapture. It also teaches unconditional eternal security and the false doctrine of salvation by “sinner's prayer” rather than repentance for forgiveness of sin. It's no wonder the church is full of sin. The narrow way has been eliminated by modern paid hireling pastors, and now this modern church that is so full of sin teaches its members that they can appease their conscience and please God by singing a few songs on Sunday and call it a “worship service.”
This is such an insult to the Almighty, All Knowing, Master Mind of the universe, who is far more intelligent than every human on earth put together. To suggest that this awesome, super-genius, magnificent God and Creator---has a phsical need to wait until everyone can get together at church and start the music for Him to be worshiped is absolutely insane. How could anyone think that all He wants from us is to gather together weekly and sing Him a few songs on Sunday as if we were mechanical robots being directed by a “worship leader”?
Have you ever noticed that the sign in front of the “church” building reads something like this: “Worship Service” 10:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evening, and 7:30 on Wednesday evening. Of course, some meet on Saturday or possibly other days of the week, but the message is still about the same. The subtle suggestion is that worship is something that has to be done in a building at some specific address and at some set point in time. But is this what the Bible teaches about worship for the New Testament church?
It seems that here in the “Bible belt” of the south, that most everyone claims to be a “Christian.” There are approximately 43 million Baptists worldwide as well as 1.2 billion Catholics and 66 million Lutherans. And a large percentage of those numbers are here in America, especially here in the south. That is only considering three of the major denominations. If you included all the many, many other denominations, you would have to realize there are many more millions that claim to be “Christian.” So, almost everyone in America has been exposed to some kind of church or religious experience at some point in their life. Everything from attending church meetings to Christian camp to vacation bible school to Sunday School to a personal friend or family member telling them about the gospel. In these various contacts situations, most people have been compelled to pray the “sinners' prayer” or asked to “believe in Jesus” or told to just “accept Christ”, etc. It didn't matter if they were 5 years old, 10 years old or older. And once they were convinced to take one of these easy and quick steps to be saved, they were told that now they were saved and that heaven was guaranteed.
So, there is nothing new. Even thousands of years ago in Jeremiah's day, there were preachers doing the same thing as we have today— telling the people of God that they will have peace and that no calamity could come upon them, even though they walked in the stubbornness of their own hearts. Obviously, these preachers had not stood in the council of the Lord that they should see and hear His Word. And if today's modern preachers had heard from God, they would have turned the American “Christians” away from their sins, rather than giving them a license to sin. Remember, as it says in Psalm 81, those who despise the Lord are the ones who pretend obedience to Him while they refuse to obey God and continue in sin. So, it is the same in the American church today.
Last Week I covered Part 2 of the myth of unconditional eternal security. I pointed out that a believer does have eternal security in his salvation, but that his security is conditional. As long as the believer meets those conditions, he is secure in his salvation. Last week, I also discussed several more of the biblical exceptions to the doctrine of once saved, always saved. Today I am going to continue to discuss even more of those exceptions with part 3. A common doctrine concerning salvation today is called “once saved, always saved.” The belief is that once someone has been saved, nothing can be done, either by an outside force or by the person himself, to cause him to lose his salvation. Some Scriptures, taken alone, seem to support this belief, while many other Scriptures seem to completely contradict this belief. So, it seems today that many, many preachers and Bible teachers are focusing on a few Scriptures which seem favorable to this doctrine, since it is popular, while completely ignoring the many, many other Scriptures that contradict the belief of “once saved, always saved.” Any time someone picks out a few Scriptures to support their own view, they have opened themselves up for deception and error. This practice is the recipe for heresy and all false doctrines. This is the very reason we have so many denominations and different doctrines being preached today. In this message, I will use many more than a just few scriptures to prove that there are clear Biblical exceptions to the idea of unconditional eternal security. I hope you will listen with an open mind to the Word and really examine the Scriptures carefully as if the life of your soul depends on it, since it really does. Check it out for yourself to see if what I am saying is true. What can it hurt for you to do that?
Let me start out by saying that there is security for a believer in his salvation. But that security is conditional, not unconditional as is mostly taught today. Often in the Scriptures a promise is preceded or followed by an “if ”, or a “but”, or the condition to receive the promise is discovered by further study. A statement in the Scriptures that is taken by itself, (out of context) and not considered in the light of other Scriptures might lead someone to conclude that the promise has no conditions, when in fact it does in view of the rest of the Bible. So, it is important not to just pick and choose verses that please the hearer, but to take the whole counsel of God to get the true and complete understanding concerning salvation.
For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. (Ephesians 2:8–9)
There are two kinds of works in the Bible.
-
Works of the law (religious works, good deeds, missions, church programs, rituals, ceremonies, rules, etc.) that will not save you.
-
Works of obedience (obeying God and His Word). Without these works of obedience to God and His Word, you cannot be saved.
Most grace teachers do not distinguish between these two kinds of works (works of the law vs. works of obedience) and teach that any effort on your part to be saved is wrong because they say that Jesus “did everything for you”. They teach that any kind of works or effort on your part will not affect your salvation, but only belief or faith in Jesus will save you. I have even heard one preacher on TV go so far as to say that to repent or even forgive others is not necessary for salvation, but to only accept Jesus and believe in Him and you will surely be saved. He suggested that for you to do something, even do anything such as repentance or forgiveness, in order to be saved, is nothing more than an attempt at “works” for salvation.
Last week I shared about the original true eternal gospel that has been around since the beginning and contrasted that to the modern gospel of today. Todays message is going to be part two of “what ever happened to the Gospel”? For your information, there are many different gospels around today, but there is really only one true gospel. I hope that what I am going to share with you today will stimulate your thinking and have you checking with the Lord and His word to see which gospel you have received. If you have the wrong gospel then you have the wrong Jesus and as result of the wrong Jesus you have the wrong spirit which is not the Holy Spirit and you very well may miss heaven in the end.
Gal 1:6 I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel;
Gal 1:7 which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you and want to distort the gospel of Christ.
Gal 1:8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed!
Gal 1:9 As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed!
Gal 1:10 For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.
There is a tremendous difference between today's modern gospel and the gospel of the bible. The original gospel has been around since the beginning of the creation. It is an eternal gospel that was established before the foundations of the world and has never been changed by the Lord or His Word but has been greatly perverted by modern teachers. The true gospel has been watered down to satisfy men's desires to live according to the ways of the world while promising them freedom and salvation without a radical change in their lives.
This modern gospel takes away the very elements of true salvation such as total surrender to God, repentance from sin, the fear of the Lord, whole-hearted obedience to the Lord, denying oneself of worldly desires, carrying one's own personal cross, bearing good fruit or being cut down, overcoming the flesh—the devil---and the world, plus enduring to the end, all of which are required for salvation.
Last week I spoke again about the myth of the paid pastor, and it was the second part of a three-part series. Also, there are other broadcasts there you may want to listen to as well including the myth of the tithe. Today I am going to continue with the Myth of the Paid Pastor part 3. It is important that you hear all three of these teachings to get the whole picture. Speaking of paid pastors, have you ever noticed the trend for pastors to make their own son the replacement pastor when they retire? Is the church some kind of dynasty where the son inherits the kingship? Isn't this like a dictator of a third world country making his son the heir of his kingdom? It doesn't matter if the son is qualified or called of God, it only matters to the pastor that he can keep the good thing he has going on in the family business. So, again the hireling is like a king!
Paul was a preacher and a tent maker. Paul did not consider preaching to be a vocation. No one in the Bible had a vocation of preaching. Paul's vocation was making tents. He had freely received the gospel from the Lord, and for free, Paul preached it. Even though Paul had a right to eat food as a minister of the gospel, he did not exercise that right. That right was never about taking money or being paid as a preacher, but only about whether or not he would eat someone else's food. In fact, Paul did not eat without paying for his food and he admonished all ministers to follow his example in this. This is New Testament instruction! Again, see how far we have drifted from the will of God and from what the Scriptures teach!
Today I am going to discuss the subject of paying pastors from a biblical point of view vs the traditional practice. This will be the first of a three-part message on this subject since there is so much that needs to be said to draw a complete picture.
Last week I shared about the myth of the tithe and how the tithe has never had anything to do with money or the church. Today I want to question the motives behind pastors promote this old Jewish law that came into the church around 600ad by the Catholic Church. This was just another way to extort more money from all of the people and it was especially hard on the poor.
From the multitude of sermons on “tithing” you would get the impression that God had filled the Bible with hundreds of verses on paying the tithe to the church. But the fact is that there are fewer than twenty verses in the whole Bible that talk about the tithe and almost all of them are in the Old Testament and all of them are associated with the Old Testament Jewish law. It seems, with many pastors, that a tithing message comes up frequently as if that is one of the main things God has on His mind. Many Christians have been beaten down with this message and left to feel guilty, if for some reason, they could not come up with the ten percent to put in the plate. It seems that many preachers stress that the tithe should be paid even before a past due mortgage or an unexpected medical expense. But what is the tithe? To whom was it to be paid? What was the purpose of the tithe? Does it have anything to do with the church today? Did any of the New Testament churches pay tithes? Did Paul instruct any of the churches to pay tithes? Let us find out if the modern teaching on tithing is a biblical truth or a myth?
For several weeks I have been sharing about the state of the American church and the various “easy believism” teachings being taught today. And how these easy believism teachings have given the typical church members a false sense of security believing that they will have unconditional eternal security concerning their salvation even though the American church is morally bankrupt and lives exactly like the world by practicing sin. These false messages have been promoted by our modern pastors who have watered down the gospel to make it more popular so they can tickle ears for the sake of numbers and offerings. These pastors leave out one's own personal cross, repentance of sin, overcoming, self-denial, bearing fruit, enduring to the end and entering by the narrow and difficult path which is the only way to eternal life.
Many teachers and preachers today are saying that Jesus did everything for us on His cross and there is nothing else we have to do to be saved except just believe in and accept Jesus. This statement suggests that if you do believe in Jesus and accept Him that you will be saved unconditionally and have eternal life no matter what you do after that and that nothing else is required for your salvation. These teachers sum up this “easy believism” in the statement “Jesus plus nothing”. This really sounds good and will certainly tickle ears, but is this all that is required for one to be saved?
There are various teachings on the “rapture” today, but the most popular one says that “Christians” will be taken away first and those who remain will go through great tribulations and troubles here on earth. Since the term “rapture” does not appear in Scripture and since the doctrine of the modern “rapture” has only been around for a couple hundred years, it would be wise to see what the Bible says about it. Pay careful attention to the order in which the end of time unfolds.
Most Christians today have no idea how to identify a false teacher or a false doctrine. It probably is because the churches in America are full of false teachings today because they are full of false teachers. This is a result of Satan influencing the church to adapt the ways of the world devising false teachings that make sin acceptable in the church and perverting grace into a license to sin. As a result, the gospel is presented as an easy “believism” message of faith plus nothing, as I covered last week, without the call to repentance of sin, without having a changed life, without walking on the difficult, narrow way, without denying oneself of worldly desires, without carrying one's own personal cross and without the giving up of one's life totally to the Lord. This is the great falling away that was spoken of about the last days. www.Christainmyths.org
But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will also be false teachers among you, who will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing swift destruction upon themselves. Many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of the truth will be maligned; and in their greed they will exploit you with false words; their judgment from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep. 2 Peter 2:1-3. These false words are words that create an easy "believism" message deceiving hearers into thinking that faith without action or faith without works of obedience are going to save them. Listen and find out if that is true.
The grace of God has been turned into a license to sin by the modern Amercian Christian Church. The pastors love to tickle ears for their own personal gain of power, approval of man and the unjust gain of money. This false grace has mislead millions and caused said many other millions to go to hell. If you are practicing any known sin willfully, then you are not being saved by grace.
There are so many churches, so many denominations, so many doctrines, so many traditions and teachings of men. All of these divisions have mislead countless members to think they are saved by their participation in religious practices, when none of these have anything to do with salvation. In this podcast I challange everyone to check to see which gospel did you receive and which Jesus did you get and which spirit came with it. There is really only one church and only one gospel and only one true Jesus. Jesus is not a Baptist or Catholic or Methodist or anything other than the exact representation of His Father in Heaven.
They tell you to just pray the sinner's prayer and you will be saved and go to heaven. Where in the Bible did anything like that ever happen or was anyone ever told to do such a thing. There are many times that men were told to seek God and told to turn from their sins and idols. They were told to bear fruit and endure to the end. They were warned and warned over and over again that sin would cause them to be separated from God. The teachings of men have reduced the requirments of salvation to just say some words or raise your hand or just stick up one finger. Many souls have been lost because of the false methods and many more will be lost if men don't wake up and repent while they still have time.
As I have said before the Amercian Church is full of sin. This leads to a conclusion that the church must be full of lost people who think they are saved. Lost people practice sin, that is their nature. The bible says that no one born again practices sin, so it is reasonable to conclude that if anyone is practicing sin, he must not be born again. In this podcast I go into three major reasons why the church is full of false converts who believe they are going to heaven. I also explain how some who actually were born again, have passively accepted the church system, settled down with the week to week attendance and have become lukewarm. Lukewarm believers, even though they may be generally good people, will end up in hell according to Jesus in the book of Revelations.

How did America drift so far from the noble and decent and Christian country we once were. Is it not because our church leaders made various compromises with the world in previous generations. And didn't they do to please people rather than God? And didn't they please the people so they could keep their position of power and income? So, is not the church also corrupt today with there being no differnce in the conduct of the average church member than the rest of the world? So, now instead of the church setting the moral standards for society, the world has taken over the church.

As I listened to a radio broadcast on Moody Radio this week, I was very disturbed by the false statement i heard. The speaker said that once we were saved that all of our sins of the past, all of our presents sins and all of the sins we will ever commit in the future are already forgiven. This statement is very misleading and terribly false. In this podcast I compare this statement with the words an old testament prophet, Jesus, Paul, Peter, James and again with Jesus from the book of Revelation. The truth is very evident once you stop listening to men and start listening to the Word of God. The whole American church world has become a place of great deception. The most dangerous place to go is to church in America today without being on the alert and having a knowledge of the Scriptures. We were warned to NOT BE DECEIVED with empty words. False teachers tickle ears for power, money and the approval of man. They are wolves in sheep's clothing. Beware!
The first requiement Jesus had for anyone who wished to follow Him was to deny self. Jesus will never share the throne of your hear with yourself. That is why He said that you have to lose you life in order to find it. Today's false gospel says otherwise. There are even tracks produced that picture a man's heart with self on the throne of his heart and Jesus de-throned lying beside the self throne. This is typical of todays modern gospel that teaches that you can keep your sin and selfishness and still go to heaven. But it has never been this way with God. From the old days of the children of Israel and the prophets of old until this very hour, God has always required a whole heart for men to be forgiven and saved. The present gospel preached almost everywhere today is not the gospel of the Bible or of any of the prophets of old nor of any of the Apostles of the new testament and certainly not of Jesus Christ as He spoke when He walked on this earth.
America and the American church is supercharged with sexual lust. It is now normal for most church members and pastors to be involved in pornography, adultery, fornication, homosexuality, incest, same-sex marriages, sex with children, prostitutes and virtually every other kind of sexual sin. As a result divorce is rampant in the church and familes are being torn apart with children scattered to the wind and souls are being lost by the thousands. All the while the pastors of the American church say little and do even less to address the porn epidemic or the moral decline of the church today. They are more interested in keeping the members entertained with programs while those very members are on the way to hell in their sins. The reason they tickle ears is because they love the approval of man and the unjust gain of being paid by members who work for a living. Our whole country is corrupted from the federal government to our school system. And the church is corrupted by pastors who will not take a serious stand against sin and those who practice sin in the church. As a result whatever the world is doing, so is the Church.
Jesus said more than once for the one who had ears to hear let him hear. Obviously he wasn't talking about natural hearing but spiritual hearing. The world is falling apart, wars and rumors of wars, the government is corrupted from top to bottom, the educational system is corrupted from top to bottom and the church is corrrupted from top to bottom. We are certainly living the the last days and the coming of Jesus is eminent. Are you ready to meet Him? Is there any sin or idol you are holding onto? Do you have ears to hear what the Spirit is saying to the people of God at this time?
The ways, the sins and ideology of the world has taken over America from our government, to our colleges, to our schools, to our politicans, to our social clubs, to the movie industry, to the music industry, to the social media, to television programing, to the local news stations and also to our American churches. What is even worse is that it has also prenetrated our so-called Christian schools and the thinking of most American Christians to some degree or the other. Not only have we lost the concept of holiness, simplicity and purity, but America and it's church system have become sexually supercharged with sexual lust because of pronography and the entertainment industry. Every kind of sexual sin and perversion is in the church today from adultery to incest and from pornorgraphy to sex with children. And a great number of American pastors are also doing the same things. The greatest danger to the souls of Christians is the compromises they are making with the world and it's evil ways. Almost every day there is another report of pastor being exposed for sexual sin or a school teacher having sex with a child. This is true for women teachers as well as men. As the chruch goes so the country goes. How can the church have any moral influence on society when it is guilty of the same sins, especially sexual sins?
Virtually every time I hear the so-called gospel presented today, whether on the radio, on the internet, on “Christian” television or on a printed track the word repent or repentance is missing. Yet the words, the terms or the principles of repentance appear in the bible at least 200 times from the old testament throughout the new testament. Repentance always has been the only basis by which men could come to God and be forgiven for sin. Yet it obviously missing from the modern gospel presented today by almost every denomination and ministry.
There are many gospels and many spirits associated with many different denominations with each one having a different Jesus. There are also many different methods given to men to be saved. This podcast will challange the most common methods in modern Christianity used to "lead" people to Jesus. If you have been led to the wrong Jesus by a false method then you might be in danger of eternal destruction. Please listen with an open mind and see if you are being deceived by your church and/or pastor. Gal 1:8-10 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to what you received, he is to be accursed! For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.
It is commonly believed in American Christianity today that no matter what we do, that God will never forsake us. This comes from a few scriptures that are taken out of context and doesn't reveal the exceptions. Every promise of God has conditions and exceptions. The false teachers cherry pick scriptures out of context in order to tickle ears for personal gain of money and power to boost their careers. Their idea of success is in numbers, offerings and buildings for their own glory. Listen to this podcast and see if there are any Biblical reasons whey the Lord would forsake a Christian. So, what does it mean to confess your sins? There at two kinds of confessions. Really only one kind of true confession and we can call the other kind---ADMISSION
Admission of sin and conviction of sin are not the same thing.
A godly sorrow comes when a person is convicted of sin in their heart by the Holy Spirit, and they are humbled, grieved and broken over their sin and will do anything they can to get free from that sin. This kind of godly sorrow leads to repentance without regret because it leads to salvation.
A worldly sorrow comes from when someone is caught is sin or exposed for their sin by another person and then they feel sorry for it and apologize for it. God is not looking for apologies. A worldly sorrow then produces an admission of wrongdoing because someone else exposed the sin and the sinner wants to save face so he admits his sin, but his admission does not lead to a heart change, so the sin will come back again and again.
False Christians also call their sins a mistake. They say since they are not perfect, they just made a mistake when they willfully sinned.
The scriptures are clear about it being necessary to love God with all your heart and to love your neighbor as yourself or you cannot enter eternal life. In this podcast I break down some of what it means to love God with all your heart since it does not seem clear to many who claim to love God what it means. Love is not just words but is a heart issue. Worship is not something you do from time to time at a building but is something you do all the time from the heart. If you don't obey God you don't love Him or worship Him.
We need to remember how blessed we are and not dwell on the things of the past. We need not be ungrateful for what God has done for us and not be jealous of others who may seem to do better. We should never compare ourselves with others. We should be reminded to keep our minds on things above and not on this earth. Also we need being reminded that our past sins are removed as far as the east is from the west and we should be moving forward to overcoming. Things like hurt feelings, bitterness, self-pity, grudges, angry tempers, etc. should not even be named amoung us. We need to understand the "human dilemma". Also, we should live in simplicy. And our prayers should not be made using meaningless repititions, but should be heart felt with tears and desperation for God to hear us and to move on our behalf.
This is a message delivered to our local church by Don Britton. The first point is about the need for unity in the body and how the people of God should be on one mind, one heart, one voice and walk in agreement. The second point focuses on the "self" problem, being selfish and discussing serveral of the self issues like self-centered, self-pity, self-willed, etc. and how we are called to deny ourself and take up our cross and follow Jesus. The third point is about walking in the light with no deception, no hiding, no game playing, no hypocrisy, etc., but being true, honest and open and even exposing the things of darkness. The fourth point is about what true repentance is versus just saying some words. Just apologies and words themselves are not true repentance, but a changed heart that forsakes sin and turns to God with a whole heart. This podcast explains why we need correction in the church. Most pastors and elders today will never correct a member who is living in sin because their goal is to keep up church attendance and offerings. The true bride of Christ will confront and correct and even rebuke one who is sinning and will remove that member from the church if they are not repentant of their sin. The false bride spoils her children by allowing them to do as they please without any correction or rebuke for their sin. This is why the modern American church is so filled with hyprocrites today. False teachings like "once saved always saved" or "we are all just sinners saved by grace" or "just accept Christ and you wil go to heaven" or "just believe and you are saved" or "we will not judge your sin we just love you" and things like this have caused the church to be filled with liars, adulterers, fornicators, pornographers, gossips, homosexuals and angry, greedy, bitter, jealous, and lustful people who love the world and it's ways more than God. The gospel has been watered down to such an extent that sin is now ignored and repentance is rarely ever mentioned. Therefore the church of today has become a religious social club and is on the broad way that leads to destruction.
Jer 23:21 "I did not send these prophets, But they ran. I did not speak to them, But they prophesied. Jer 23:22 "But if they had stood in My council, Then they would have announced My words to My people, And would have turned them back from their evil way And from the evil of their deeds.
There is much to question about modern tongues as spoken today vs what the purpose and practice of Biblical tongues as spoken by Jesus and the New Testament church. We were warned long ago that there would be false signs and wonders in the last days that could deceive even the elect. It was foretold that Satan would come with all power to do great signs and wonders. That includes false miracles, false healings, false manifestations and false tongues. Jesus warned us-----"For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect. "Behold, I have told you in advance. Mat 24:25, 26. Paul warned us----For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only he who now restrains will do so until he is taken out of the way. Then that lawless one will be revealed whom the Lord will slay with the breath of His mouth and bring to an end by the appearance of His coming; that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. For this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they will believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness. 2 Thess. 2:7-12. In the modern signs and wonders movement, the emphasis is on miracles, healings and tongues rather than repentance, holiness and a crucified life that imitates Jesus. Most of what we see today in signs and wonders is performed by the “unholy spirit” rather than by the Holy Spirit. False teachers and false prophets have supernatural power given to them by Satan and allowed by God, to perform signs and wonders to deceive those who don't obey God with a whole heart. Just because a miracle happens doesn't mean it is from God or just because someone got healed doesn't mean the minister is of God and just because someone can speak in tongues does not mean he has the Holy Spirit. Satan can heal, Satan can perform miracles and Satan certainly can speak in tongues. We live in very dangerous times and only a few will enter heaven. It is time to seek God and to repent of false religion, of sin and of unbelief. It is time to overcome the flesh, the world and the devil. False conversions from Sinner's Prayers. The sinner's prayer was invented just a little over a hundred years ago and was never used by anyone in the Bible. Why didn't Jesus just lead the rich young ruler in a simple “sinner's prayer” and then tell him he had eternal life? Why didn't Jesus just tell the man to ask Jesus into his heart? Why did Jesus say that it was so hard for a rich man to be saved if all he had to do was pray the “sinner's prayer”? That is what the vast majority of today's ministers would have told the rich young man had to do, to just pray the “sinner's prayer,” and then they would tell him he was saved. Especially since the man obviously was a “good” moral person and he was also wealthy. He would have been welcomed into virtually any church in America today, and then shortly be given a position of leadership or teaching. He would have also been given special treatment because of his financial status. Churches and pastors love to get members who are well off financially. They are much more able to support the pastor's programs and his salary than poor people are. They are often referred to as “big tithers.” And then when the rich church member dies, he would get “preached right into heaven” and the pastor would speak about how great a man he was and how generously he gave to the “work of God.” This scenario has been repeated millions of times all over America during the last hundred years since the “sinner's prayer” was invented. Modern day false prophets are here now. This podcast will go further on exposing false prophets by explaining how to identify a false prophet or a destructive heresy. After stating in the previous podcast that one of the major reasons for the church being full of sin is because of the falsehoods being spoken by modern prophets, pastors and teachers, I go on to expand my message to explain more of why this is true and how to identify a false prophet or a destructive heresy. I also compared some of the modern prophesies I have heard on recent podcasts, YouTube and in some of the church meetings I have been in in the past, with what the Lord is always saying to His people, especially His people who are not right with Him. A lot of what is called the work of the Holy Spirit today is not of the Holy Spirit at all but is another spirit that is being marketed as the Holy Spirit for gain by preachers. God only gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey, not to unrepentant sinners. Included in this podcast are more on the use of false grace to excuse the condition of the church today. I also expose the fact that even the so-called spirit-filled churches do not seem to have the discernment of what prophesies are false and which prophets are false since they are not really exposing them as the prophets of old did. In this podcast I used several scriptures from the old testament prophets as well as the new testament to make the points about how prophesy is being misused so much today. In addition to all this, I showed how the true prophet is not very popular and is often hated, rejected and mistreated by the religious majority and that it has always been that way. There are many religious Images to be had. No image we take on will allow us to enter heaven except for the Image of Jesus Christ. Since American Christianity is divided up into more than a thousand denominations there are as many images that one could be conformed into. The only image we should be conformed into is the image of Jesus Christ. Today we have many, many denominations all claiming to be of Christ (Christian). Each one is different in spirit, in practice and in doctrine. The problem is that if you start going to “brand X” denomination you will start being conformed into the image of “brand X”. But if you leave the “brand X” denomination and start going to “brand Y” denomination, you will begin to lose the “brand X” image and start taking on the “brand Y” image. And of course if you leave the “brand Y” denomination (or non-denomination) and start attending the “brand Z” denomination, you will begin to take on more of the “brand Z” denomination image and start losing the images of the other brands. All of this was presented to me in the beginning of my walk. I went from non-denominational to Baptist to Presbyterian to Charismatic to Pentecostal and a couple of others. When I came to the Lord at 32 years of age (in 1979), I gave up my worldly images and idols and every sin I could think of. I turned to the Lord with all my heart and began to attend a “brand A” church. But I didn't conform very well to it because I had questions and concerns. So, I took my family and moved to a “brand B” denomination. There I was given a different gospel and was offered different doctrines. I raised more questions and had more concerns about not being able to accept the image that was being presented to me there. So, I tried “brand C”, “brand X”, “brand Y” and “brand Z”, etc., over the next three years. Each one had a different spirit and a different gospel, so after about 3 years, I left the denominational world and took my family home so I could do everything in my power to find the truth and be conformed into the image of Jesus Christ through much study and prayer. Entertainment has replaced true worship. I will examine why the modern church has redefined worship as something that is done in a certain location at a certain time. To be clear, worship is not about singing or making music. Singing is singing, and music is music. Worship is about what your heart goes after and the god you serve from within. If your god is money, you don't gather people around you and get a band of musical instruments together to make music and sing songs about money in order to worship the god of money, do you? Of course not! You just practice greed from your heart. The way you worship any of the other gods is to give them your heart, your affection, your love, your devotion, your obedience and you do everything in your everyday life you can to satisfy your desire for that god. It doesn't matter if that god is pride, sex, lust, greed, selfishness, anger, jealousy, sports, money, or any one of many of other gods offered by this world. If you worship and serve the god of sexual lust, you do so from within your heart every time you entertain lustful thoughts, commit immoral acts, view sexual content or participate in dirty jokes. You don't have to sing any songs about lust in order to worship the god of sexual lust, just serve lust from within your heart and your body. If your god is your denomination, you will defend its errors and false practices, make excuses for your pastor, say your church is “different”, and you will do so until your death, because you love it more than God. www.christianmyths.org
Jesus warned us of false signs and wonders. Jesus told us that in the last days that Satan would come with all power producing false signs and wonders. Let us be honest with ourselves. If God has granted Satan power to perform false signs and wonders to deceive, then could Satan heal someone through a false prophet or work some other kind of miracle? Doesn't Satan come as an angel of light? How does he come as an angel of light? Is it not through a preacher or a ministry that appears to do good? But is that ministry saying what God is saying about sin and wickedness in the church and is the focus of that ministry on outward healings and the supernatural or is it on the sinful condition and the more serious need of the church to be healed morally from sin and rebellion to God? Does this prophet or ministry cause people to seek after signs and wonders and the supernatural or cause them to seek after holiness and purity of devotion to Jesus Christ and to be healed of all sin and every practice that is not of God? Does that ministry or preacher seek for your donations? Does he bring glory to himself by making it a show of his “power” or is he humble and refuse to make a show of praying for anyone to be healed? Concerning healing---If a TV evangelist says on TV that he senses that someone out there is having a certain kind of physical problem---wouldn't it be likely that out of thousands listening, that someone would have that exact problem? www.christianmyths.org
During the gold rush of the 1800's a man named Darby and his uncle went to Colorado to find gold. They staked their claim and began to dig with pick and shovel. They soon discovered a vein of gold and were very confident that they would become rich. So, they covered up their find and went back home to family and friends and borrowed enough money to buy the equipment needed to properly mine the gold. Upon returning they did recover more and more gold. They sent a few carts of ore to the smelter and just knew they would be rich. They now only needed a few more carts of ore to pay back all their debt. But suddenly the gold vein disappeared. They drilled and drilled for several more months but found no more gold. Finally, they gave up and stopped searching for any more gold and sold their equipment to a junk dealer for a few hundred dollars. The junk dealer sought out advice from a mining engineer and then he resumed the drilling and discovered one of the richest veins of gold ever found only three feet from where Darby and his uncle stopped drilling. Sometimes humans who call themselves Christians are only three feet from eternal life, only to give up or fail to enter since the walk is often difficult because of the hardship of overcoming, bearing their own cross, suffering rejection of family and friends, or just unwilling to give up their favorite idol or sin.

There are Many False Pastors and Prophets. This podcast will reveal how these modern pastors and prophets are one of the major reasons the church is full of sin. After proving in earlier podcasts that the church is full of sin and practicing sinners, I have also given many reasons why the church is in the condition of moral decay from previous podcasts. In this podcast, I will expose the biggest reason the church is full of sin. It is because of the pastors, prophets, evangelists and teachers who are speaking lies. These modern ministers are mostly giving ear tickling, prosperity, blessing, health and wealth messages. These modern prophets are giving prophesies that don't address the person's heart concerning their sin, but only promises blessings and tickles the ears. They are not addressing the terrible condition of the church today in America and they certainly are not exposing the many, many false teachers, false pastors and false prophets that have secretly invaded our modern American Christianity. Nor are they exposing the many false doctrines that give Christians a false hope and give them a license to practice sin. If you become familiar with the prophets in the Bible and the messages that they had from God, you will find a huge difference with the modern prophesies and the genuine prophesies of men sent by God. We have begun a new year. Have we taken to heart the things the Lord has taught us last year or the previous years? We are instructed to not dwell on our past hurts, abuses, pains, dissappointments or our past sins if we have repented and been forgiven. We are to keep our minds on thing above and to remember how God has brought us to where we are today and to keep our hope before us for our eternal future. We must walk in love and that leaves no room for bitterness, unforgiveness, holding onto hurts or having jealousy. We never should compare ourselves to others and what they have. We should also live a quiet and simple life and not be like the world in the way it is excessive about everything it does. Is God really real to you? Do you pray like He is alive and able to answer or is He just an abstract concept in your mind rather than a solid belief in your heart? What does the coming of Jesus mean to you? For the masses, even most who think they are going to go to heaven, it will be a terrible day of judgment for them. My question for you is this, are you ready? Are you ready to face the Almighty God, the God who knows and sees everything you have every said or done and knows your heart from the inside in spite of how you present yourself on the outside. So, what will the day of the Lord be to you? Have you really thought about it? "For the day is near, Even the day of the LORD is near; It will be a day of clouds, A time of doom for the nations. (Eze 30:3) Alas for the day! For the day of the LORD is near, And it will come as destruction from the Almighty. (Joel 1:15) Blow a trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm on My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, For the day of the LORD is coming; Surely it is near, A day of darkness and gloom, A day of clouds and thick darkness. (Joel 2:1,2) Who is blowing the trumpet today in the church sounding the alarm, warning all those who claim to be Christians that the day of the Lord is coming and that it is near and it is a day of darkness and gloom rather than a day of peace and safety for all those who still live in sin? Isn't the message today more about having salvation without a cross, blessings rather than judgment, prosperity of material things rather than holiness and healing of the body rather than of the soul. Who is warning about the dangers of sin and worldliness today? When is the last time your pastor of prophet preached a message that brought the fear of the Lord upon you? So, do you really want Jesus to come, do you know what you are hoping for? Do you really think you are ready because you prayed the sinner's prayer or because you belong to a church somewhere? Do you think you are ready because you got baptized or speak in tongues or was confirmed by a priest or because you donate money or because you did some good deeds? The Jesus who is coming is the Almighty God, the God of love and the God of wrath. False pastors living a soft easy lifestyle. In this podcast I am going to talk with about the king principle and how it works in most pastors and preachers today. Paid preachers love being called “Pastor” or “Doctor” or “Reverend”, just like the Pharisees loved to be called “Rabbi.” They love the respectful greetings wherever they go. If these men didn't want to be honored this way, they would not let people use special titles in place of their name or give them special honor. Paul was an apostle, but his name was Paul not apostle Paul. A man can be a leader, but his name is not leader Bill. A man can be a pastor, but his name is not pastor Smith, nor should his name be preceded by “pastor” when someone speaks of him or to him. God hates these labels that separate and elevate some men above others. And it approaches blasphemy for anyone to call a man “Father” or “Reverend” since only God is our spiritual Father and only God is to be revered. The word reverend comes from the word revere, which means to be worshiped, revered and feared. It also indicates that one is to be honored, adored, and highly respected as being most holy. Also, there is no such thing as the “clergy”. This is another title of elevation developed by men to Lord it over the rest of the flock that they have labeled as the “laity”. It is a slow fade when we let the world influence our mind and heart. All that is in the world is the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life. Never before has the danger been so great with the invention of technology. The internet, televesion, computers, smart phones, social media, movies, music, sports, video games and man-made religion all are being used by the god of this world, Satan, to distract us away from the one and only true and living God. Satan is going about like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. Satan is not seeking to devour a lost person of the world because he already has them, but is seeking to take a true Christian away from the Lord by presenting temptations and distractions to cause the true believer to stumble and fall away from God. ----Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. 1 John 2:15-17---- "Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE," says the Lord. Do Christians have to tithe? This podcast will examine what the tithe is and what its purpose was. This question will be answered concerning the church and tithing. After examining the scriptures, it is obvious that the modern teachings on tithing are nothing more than falsehood. They are teachings of men that have been handed down to us for the purposes of men. This tradition has robbed many widows and poor people by extorting money from them, money they often could not afford to pay, by preachers who falsely teach that they must obey the “Law”, or they will be cursed. Sadly, many dear souls who struggle to make a mortgage payment and feed their children are under the same false impression that they must give ten percent of what they earn to the church or a ministry. This false teaching has resulted in many feeling guilty or fearful of being cursed as well as coming under condemnation for feeding their children and paying for their home first, when they did not have enough left over to pay the ten percent to the church. Many Christians are deceived into thinking that evidence of the Holy Spirit is connected to supernatural spiritual gifts like prophesy or tongues. The Biblical evidence teaches otherwise. No one can bear fruit without power. The evidence of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is shown by the power of the fruit of the Holy Spirit in the person's life, not in signs and wonders. The evidence of the Holy Spirit is not speaking in tongues as some have said it is or in the supernatural gifts. In fact, not everyone speaks in tongues any more than any one person has every other spiritual gift. The Bible plainly says, “all do not speak in tongues, do they?” We were warned by Jesus about the great deception in the last days of false signs and wonders. The devil can speak in tongues, the devil can prophesy, the devil can perform signs and wonders, even great signs and wonders and he does it all the time through false brethren, false pastors and false prophets. God has given the devil power to deceive. Just because someone speaks in tongues or can perform a sign or wonder does not mean that he is doing it by the Holy Spirit. Remember the Egyptian magicians, the sorcerers, those who practice divination, the fortune tellers, the spiritualist, the medians, the readers of omens, etc. All of these supernatural spiritual powers are from the devil and they can and do work today through the false prophets in the forms of the “word of knowledge”, speaking in tongues, prophesying of future events, dreams and visions, various revelations, healings, supernatural manifestations etc. But if the fruit is not right and does not line up with scripture then it is a bad tree, a false brother, a false prophet and a false sign or wonder. You must look at the fruit, not the sign. If you see a prophet who performs signs and wonders and he does not have the fruit of humility or he takes your money for himself or he does not address your need for repentance or he makes a show of his ministry for his own personal glory and many such things like this which are completely out of character with Jesus, then he is a false prophet. Remember that Jesus told us that they would come in sheep's clothing but inwardly be ravenous wolves. John the Baptist called them a brood of vipers. The clergy of today are like the Nicolaitans. The Nicolaitans were those who taught and practiced that the ministers of God were superior and were to be elevated about the flock. The doctrine of the Nicolaitans was created by those who claimed to have a superior status over the laity of the Church; the laity was the rest of the household of God. This doctrine created a division between the people of God known as the clergy-laity divide and prevented the doctrine of the “priesthood of all believers” from being practiced in the Church then and continues today. Those who followed the doctrine of the Nicolaitans assumed superiority over the people. They exercised authority and power over the people using the positional, top down hierarchy system. This doctrine taught that only those who served as the official clergy were the ones who could hear, understand, and knew what God was saying to the people. It is clear, that Jesus hated the doctrine (teaching) of the Nicolaitans, which would exalt one believer above another. The doctrine of the Nicolaitans led to the one bishop ruler prevailing in the Catholic Church, followed by a pope over all the Catholic churches, which Christianity also adopted during the Reformation by replacing the priest and pope with the pastor. Much of our thinking and our Christian traditions came out of the Reformation and are simply not according to the apostles' faith, doctrines, and practices. The doctrine of the Nicolaitans is still practiced today when we exalt or elevate a priest, pastor, elder, bishop, five-fold minister, or clergy member to a hierarchal position of rank, authority and power over the other members of the family of God. In modern Christianity, we have put the doctrine of the Nicolaitans into practice by exalting one believer over another believer, through the use of a hierarchal positions and titles. The church has been hijacked by the Nicolaitans. Not all signs come from the Holy Spirit. We live in dangerous times with many false signs and wonders resulting in many manifestations of spiritual gifts also being false. The word of knowledge is simply speaking what you know about something. In the context of edification, it is speaking what you know about the Lord, His Word and His will. When you see a “prophet” on TV or in a meeting, saying that he senses that someone out there has pain in their left leg or that someone just lost their job and God is about to give them a better job or someone is about to get a raise at work or someone is going to get a new car or a better house or is going to be healed of a disease, etc., etc., etc.---THIS IS NOT A BIBLICAL WORD OF KNOWLEDGE! It does not edify---it does not build someone up in the understanding of God's will and purpose---It does not enlighten or inform them concerning God's Word. This is just like fortune telling---it is just like being physic, but not by the Holy Spirit, but by spirit of the Devil---Yes, he may have knowledge that was supernatural, but so does the devil. The devil knows if your leg is hurting or if you lost your job or if you are about to get a raise at work, or you are wanting a new car, but this knowledge does not bring you any closer to Jesus and holiness and does not convict of sin. The physics do the same thing. The sorcerers do the same thing, the witches do the same thing. Stuff like this happens all the time in the new age movement and in the church today. No one in the bible ever used the word of knowledge the way it is used in the “spirit filled” churches today. God is far more concerned with the souls of His people than he is about them getting a new car. And don't you think the Lord would have someone with the knowledge of the Word of God to speak about the sin that is in the church today and call men to repentance rather than just focus on earthly matters? And concerning the gift of healing, time and time again, different faith healers have been exposed as being fake. Signs and wonders don't lead to salvation. The true gospel is the POWER that leads to a transformed life. Signs, healings, wonders and prophesies are not the power that saves. Jonah preached repentance at Nineveh and about 120,000 people, the entire population repented and were saved without any signs and wonders being performed, just from the power of the gospel, the Word of God spoken. More than 50 times in the NT, Jesus or the apostles told people to believe the gospel and to repent in order to be saved. They never told anyone to believe in miracles to be saved. Today there is a false message being spread all over American by false prophets that the power of God is manifested in signs and wonders. I tell you that is not the power of God that saves---the power that resurrects the dead soul into a living soul with eternal life---the power that transforms a man into a new creation---the power that gives a man a new heart---the power that conforms one into the image of Jesus--- or the power that causes a man to bear the fruit of the Holy Spirit. There is no greater miracle than someone being born again, and that only happens by the Power of the Gospel, not from seeing the supernatural. Countless people were healed by Jesus and saw Him perform many, many miracles, but only a very few were saved, and He only revealed the mystery of the Kingdom to the few who gave Him their whole hearts. Everybody else just got their healings, were delivered from demons, or ate the fishes and the loaves. They were seekers of signs and wonders or the free food but were not seekers of God for repentance of sin. After Jesus had performed countless miracles over a three year period including raising several from the dead and having become well known through-out all of Israel as one sent from God, even as the Messiah and who supernaturally healed probably tens of thousands of people, possibly hundreds of thousands---only a few believed His message in their hearts, only a few were saved and only a few were present on the day of Pentecost to wait on the promise of the Holy Spirit. Most Christians have become lukewarm. America has transitioned from being a Christian nation to a secular and godless country and the church paved the way for this to happen. As a country, America has certainly left her first love. Originally, America was a place for religious freedom and independence from oppression and a place of freedom to worship and serve God. Men came here from across the ocean leaving everything behind in hopes of escaping the persecution from the powerful and oppressive churches of Europe like the Catholic church or the church of England who were all powerful and controlled governments and could imprison you or put you to death if you didn't agree with them or spoke against them. Our original founding fathers framed the constitution from biblical principles and faith in God. It was their intention to give us freedom from religious oppression and the evil of tyranny from corrupt governments. They knew that this was not possible unless men looked to God for wisdom and godly principles. So, how did America fall like she has? Is it not because the church has lost its moral influence on society that it once had and has made compromises to please the people? Could it be that the American church has left its first love, the love of God and His son Jesus Christ? So, what has happened to the church in say the last 100+ years? Well 100 years ago if you were in sin, you would be very nervous about going to church because the Spirit of God was there back then. At that time preachers did not preach easy “believism” and false grace but preached with power against sin and conviction from the Word of God. In those days a preacher was a farmer, a rancher, a blacksmith, a carpenter or factory worker. They did not worry so much about pleasing people as pleasing God. There is a false concept today today that teaches that in order to get over your past you have to keep revisiting it, dealing with it, talking about it and working through it in order to be healed of the abuses, pains, wrongs, sins, and dissappointments caused by others or done by you in the past. But according to the Word of God our past is hidden in Christ and our sins are removed as far as the east is from the west and God does not remember our past sins or our past hurts anymore because if we have been born again, we are born into a new life and a living hope with a fresh start and we now have a new life in Christ. Old things have passed away and new things have come. I go on to expound on the walk of love and how love does not speculate about others and have evil suspicions but thinks the best until it has reason not to. This walk of love is also related to living a quiet and simple life free from anxioity, fear, excessness, business, worry and just overdoing things in general. The Lord has called us to peace and simplicity with singleness of heart and a simple and clear view of reality.
Three of the most-deadly sins abound today. All sin is deadly, but three particular sins stand out as possibly more dangerous because of the type of strongholds they produce. Often when we think of the most terrible sins, the most disgusting sins, the most-deadly sins that someone can have, we usually think of somebody else's sins, other than our own sins. The Pharisees in their self-righteousness viewed the tax collectors and the prostitutes as being the most disgusting of all sinners while they viewed themselves as righteous because they didn't do what those “sinners” did. But the truth is that Jesus said that the tax-collectors and the harlots would get into the Kingdom of God before they would. The reason is that the pharisees refused to believe that anything was wrong with them, they refused to believe the Word of God but held to their own views of themselves and their traditions and they refused to believe that they needed to repent of anything. After all, they believed that what was wrong with society was all those sinners in Israel, not themselves. Yet Jesus condemned the pharisees because of their self-righteousness and hypocrisy, and Jesus reached out to the tax collectors and prostitutes simply because the pharisees believed they were faultless, and yet the sinners knew they were sinners and needed God. www.christianmyths.org
The wrong kind of connections are dangerous. Today's social media platforms offer a false sense of reality but mostly leave the participant with an empty and meaningless experience. Social media “seems” to fill the need to be connected, the need to be accepted and the need of belonging to something greater than ourselves. But at the end of the day it is mostly meaningless because it only offers feelings without any purpose. After one has connected with a thousand other people on Facebook or looked at 500 images on snapchat or Instagram, they have not really accomplished anything meaningful. Even though they belong to a large group of so-called friends, nothing worthwhile has happened. Only a feeling that flees shortly after closing the app only to hunger again for that same feeling. So, the addiction is accomplished by the need to belong to something, the need to be accepted by others and the need to connect. All of this connecting is meaningless unless the connection is directed for giving help to others, to offer godly advice, sharing the gospel and generally for giving something for good rather than trying to fulfill your own need for a feeling. Again, there never is satisfaction until one belongs to the Lord, belongs to the Kingdom of God---There is nothing greater one can belong to than the Kingdom of God. If you join any of the social medias, it should be for a meaningful purpose like sharing about the Lord or posting a good YouTube video or a good podcast or a good article that gives honor and glory to the ways of God, but should not be about you trying to fulfill your own human need for connection and feelings apart from the Lord. Gossip is a deadly sin. Gossip is all about curiosity about others, keeping up with what people do, being nosey about others, talking about what others are doing and so forth. What if you are not ready? Most American Christians are no where near ready to meet the Lord. The practice of sin, love of idols and false teachings have left them unprepared. Not only are we commanded to be ready, but we are told by Jesus and the apostles what it takes to be ready. But for the most part their warnings are ignored today and have been replaced with an easy and false way to heaven. The false prophets teach that it is no longer necessary to bear your own cross or give up your old life to have heaven. They say that all you have to do is to accept Christ and believe in Him. They promise eternal life, peace, security, blessings, prosperity and freedom while they are slaves of corruption. As a result of all this ear tickling teaching, most American Christians have bought the lies and are far from being ready to meet the Lord Jesus when He returns. The scriptures describe the great and terrible day for most of being a time of terror wishing for the rocks and mountains to fall on them so they can escape from the wrath of the Holy One. Be ready when the Lord Returns! Most Christians today think that they are ready to meet the Lord when He returns, but according to the condition of the church, they are not ready. The foolish virgins in Matthew chapter seven belonged to the Lord. They were his own virgins but when He came called for them enter the wedding chambers, they were not ready because they were out of oil for their lamps. This is the condition of the American Church today, millions of members whose lamps are out of oil. Oil is like the Holy Spirit that convicts of sin and leads and guides into all truth. The American church today seems to have little or no conviction of sin since she is just as guilty of every sin and to the same degree that the world is. Also, the lack of truth with all the false doctrines and false teachers proves that the Holy Spirit is absent. So, the warning by Jesus is to be ready or He would come like a thief in the night when no one expected Him. And if He doesn't find you ready when He comes, He said that He would cut you to pieces and assign you a place with the unbelievers, the place is called hell. The term “cut you to pieces” is a covenant term from the old testament indicating what when anyone made covenant and walked between the pieces of the slain animal that they agreed that if they broke covenant that they would be cut to pieces just like the animal was. Everyday that goes by, is time that is lost forever, and that time should be spent in preparing to meet the Lord. Just praying a sinner's prayer or getting baptized or joining a church or making a profession of faith is not enough to be ready. The clergy of today are the Nicolaitans. The Nicolaitans were those who taught and practiced that the ministers of God were superior and were to be elevated about the flock. The doctrine of the Nicolaitans was created by those who claimed to have a superior status over the laity of the Church; the laity was the rest of the household of God. This doctrine created a division between the people of God known as the clergy-laity divide and prevented the doctrine of the “priesthood of all believers” from being practiced in the Church then and continues today. Those who followed the doctrine of the Nicolaitans assumed superiority over the people. They exercised authority and power over the people using the positional, top down hierarchy system. This doctrine taught that only those who served as the official clergy were the ones who could hear, understand, and knew what God was saying to the people. It is clear, that Jesus hated the doctrine (teaching) of the Nicolaitans, which would exalt one believer above another. The doctrine of the Nicolaitans led to the one bishop ruler prevailing in the Catholic Church, followed by a pope over all the Catholic churches, which Christianity also adopted during the Reformation by replacing the priest and pope with the pastor. Much of our thinking and our Christian traditions came out of the Reformation and are simply not according to the apostles' faith, doctrines, and practices. The doctrine of the Nicolaitans is still practiced today when we exalt or elevate a priest, pastor, elder, bishop, five-fold minister, or clergy member to a hierarchal position of rank, authority and power over the other members of the family of God. In modern Christianity, we have put the doctrine of the Nicolaitans into practice by exalting one believer over another believer, through the use of a hierarchal positions and titles. The church has been hijacked by the Nicolaitans. Today's American Christians are typically barren of fruit. There is a great misunderstanding concerning the difference in bearing the fruit of God vs church activities. If we are to be the good tree firmly planted by streams of water (living water) and a tree that bears fruit in its season and whose leaf does not wither, then we must avoid the counsel of the world and not stand in the same path that sinners walk in and make sure we don't sit in the seat of scoffers but delight ourselves in the Word of the Lord and mediate on it day and night. Jesus said that a good tree cannot bear bad fruit and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit. So how can this be since none of us are perfect all of the time? If a good man or woman (a good tree) happens to sin and quickly repents of that sin, confesses his sins to God and to others, makes everything right with those who were wronged and restores anything needed to correct the situation, then that is good fruit and that tree is certainly good with good fruit. Being a good tree that bears good fruit is not about always being perfect in order to be a good tree, but is about how you handle your sins and faults that determines whether you are a good tree or a bad tree. But if anyone claims to be a good tree (to belong to Jesus) but doesn't repent quickly when falling into sin and are unwilling to humble himself and confess his sins to others, nor does he make anything right with others he may have wronged, he is a bad tree. Or if he does not forgive from the heart those who have wronged him or her then he or she is a bad tree. If Jesus passes by you to get some fruit off your tree, will he only find leaves on your tree? Leaves are things like church attendance, paying tithes, singing at worship service, supporting missionaries, teaching Sunday school, preaching, prophesying, speaking in tongues, etc. Leaves are not fruit. www.christianmyths.org
False prophets entice by fleshly desires. They promise freedom, salvation, and prosperity while they themselves are slaves of corruption with greed for money and power. False prophets arose among the people before and they are among you and me today. They introduce destructive heresies. A destructive heresy is any teaching that causes you to feel safe and heaven bound, while you are either lukewarm, passive, worldly minded, greedy, unforgiving, selfish, barren of fruit, disobedient or just living in sin. Today's American church is saturated with all of these spiritual conditions and more. It is partly because the pastors are introducing destructive heresies and partly because the members love it so and have accumulated for themselves teachers to tell them what they want to hear. Peter also said that these false prophets would follow their sensuality and because of them the way of truth will be maligned, that is perverted. These false prophets will exploit you with false words, exploit you for money and power with words of peace and safety, with words of prosperity, with words of hope and happiness, with words of blessings, and with words that all is well. False prophets don't have a sense of urgency for souls and for those who live according to the flesh or those who sin or those who are just lukewarm. As long as people show up at church and give their money, they will always be exploited with false words and have their ears tickled. False prophets also entice by fleshly desires. Jesus said only a few would enter life. The impression left by today's pastors, prophets, evangelists and teachers is that most people in church are on the way to heaven. It seems that here in the “Bible belt” of the south, that most everyone claims to be a “Christian.” There are approximately 43 million Baptists worldwide as well as 1.2 billion Catholics, 66 million Lutherans and many more millions of Pentecostals and Charismatics. And a large percentage of those numbers are here in America, especially here in the south. That is only considering a few of the major denominations. If you included all the many, many other denominations, you would have to realize there are many more millions that claim to be “Christian.” Your family and friends won't mind you going to church, as long as you don't really change. Attending church, singing a few songs and paying your tithes are not really too hard. There is no cross to bear in that. It is the easy way, the broad way, that most so-called “Christians” choose to take. Did you ever hear of a pastor or evangelist telling someone to calculate the cost of following Jesus first? The cost is this---loss of one's old selfish life, loss of old sins, loss of friends, loss of ungodly family members, loss of one's religion, loss of idols, loss of worldly pleasures and the loss that comes with rejection, persecution, trials, tribulations and difficulties associated with going through the small gate on the narrow way. Many Fathers have failed their children. We have a whole generation of men who have not been the spiritual leader in their home and have forsaken their duty as fathers. Today the children of so-called Christian men are falling away from what is called the faith, at an alarming rate. Most of these kids go to college and then buy into the world's philosophy of humanism. Even when these kids were still at home and attending church, they were doubtful about Christianity because they saw so little reality in it as it is today. They see how their parents live when away from the church and then how they act when they get around the church or other church members. They see how dad is more excited about the football game than about anything of God. They see how dad pretends to be a Christian when around others who claim to be Christians and how he talks with his friends and to his mother at other times. They see how dad never sits down with them to talk with them about the Lord or teaches them the Word of God. They see how dad is more interested in his sports, his hobbies, his games, his work or his business than anything to do with the things of God. And since the children see all this, they don't sense that there is any reality in the church stuff and so they learn to pretend and play Christian just like dad does. As a result, they pursue their own pleasures and desires just like dad and then go to church and play Christian when they are there. Satan has confused reality with false doctrines. Most people in American Christianity today have no idea how to tell the difference between the doctrines of God vs the devil. Let us consider the nature of false doctrine and true doctrine. Satan is behind all false doctrine and God is behind all true doctrine. God has called us all to repentance, righteousness, holiness, forsaking this world, obedience, faith, love, hope, loving him with all our heart, loving our neighbor as ourselves, taking up our own cross, denying self, fearing God, enduring to the end, etc., etc. God has said over and over, if you do these things you shall live forever and belong to Him. God has also said over and over that if you do not do these things, you will be destroyed forever. Satan on the other hand has only one goal, to stop us from entering into eternal life. Satan confuses reality. Satan has men saying things God never said and doing things God never asked for just to keep men confused and busy with religion so He can lead them to destruction. Men have always been confused this way, this is why they killed Jesus and routinely stoned all the prophets God sent throughout the ages. The people were so confused by their religion and tradition, that they did not even recognize the truth when it came. And they were always filled with anger and so offended. It is exactly the same way today. So all the doctrines of Satan will be designed to confuse reality, give you a false sense of security, a false salvation, a false hope, a false peace, a false faith, a set of myths, a tickled ear and an excuse for your sin. www.christianmyths.org
What does the coming of Jesus mean to you? For the masses, even most who think they are going to go to heaven, it will be a terrible day of judgment for them. My question for you is this, are you ready? Are you ready to face the Almighty God, the God who knows and sees everything you have every said or done and knows your heart from the inside in spite of how you present yourself on the outside. So, what will the day of the Lord be to you? Have you really thought about it? "For the day is near, Even the day of the LORD is near; It will be a day of clouds, A time of doom for the nations. (Eze 30:3) Alas for the day! For the day of the LORD is near, And it will come as destruction from the Almighty. (Joel 1:15) Blow a trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm on My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, For the day of the LORD is coming; Surely it is near, A day of darkness and gloom, A day of clouds and thick darkness. (Joel 2:1,2) Who is blowing the trumpet today in the church sounding the alarm, warning all those who claim to be Christians that the day of the Lord is coming and that it is near and it is a day of darkness and gloom rather than a day of peace and safety for all those who still live in sin? Isn't the message today more about having salvation without a cross, blessings rather than judgment, prosperity of material things rather than holiness and healing of the body rather than of the soul. Who is warning about the dangers of sin and worldliness today? When is the last time your pastor of prophet preached a message that brought the fear of the Lord upon you? So, do you really want Jesus to come, do you know what you are hoping for? Do you really think you are ready because you prayed the sinner's prayer or because you belong to a church somewhere? Many Christians are deceived into thinking that evidence of the Holy Spirit is connected to supernatural gifts. The Biblical evidence says otherwise. No one can bear fruit without power. The evidence of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is shown by the power of the fruit of the Holy Spirit in the person's life, not in signs and wonders. The evidence of the Holy Spirit is not speaking in tongues as some have said it is or in the supernatural gifts. In fact, not everyone speaks in tongues any more than any one person has every other spiritual gift. The Bible plainly says, “all do not speak in tongues, do they?” We were warned by Jesus about the great deception in the last days of false signs and wonders. The devil can speak in tongues, the devil can prophesy, the devil can perform signs and wonders, even great signs and wonders and he does it all the time through false brethren, false pastors and false prophets. God has given the devil power to deceive. Just because someone speaks in tongues or can perform a sign or wonder does not mean that he is doing it by the Holy Spirit. Remember the Egyptian magicians, the sorcerers, those who practice divination, the fortune tellers, the spiritualist, the medians, the readers of omens, etc. All of these supernatural spiritual powers are from the devil and they can and do work today through the false prophets in the forms of the “word of knowledge”, speaking in tongues, prophesying of future events, dreams and visions, various revelations, healings, supernatural manifestations etc. But if the fruit is not right and does not line up with scripture then it is a bad tree, a false brother, a false prophet and a false sign or wonder. The Lord appointed men to lead, teach, protect and to provide for their families. We now have a generation of men who are lazy and passive. When I say lazy and passive, I mean in the responsibility of engaging with their wives and children in meaningful conversations and teaching them the ways of God. Most men do go to work at a job and bring home a paycheck but their contribution to the family usually stops there. The men of this generation have given up their God called duty of teaching and guiding their family over to the broken and morally failed American church system. The modern church is teaching deadly false doctrines and avoiding moral and sin issues leaving the people with the impression that grace covers sin, and that all is well. So, as a result there is no soberness or urgency about sin anymore, much less the fear of God. The church is filled with members who are deeply connected to the world and live carnal lifestyles according to the flesh and the pastors do not address any of this because they fear man and the loss of their monetary support. To you Mr. Lazy, passive man---it is because of you that the church has become morally bankrupt. It is because of you that divorce is rampant in the church. Jesus warned us of false signs and wonders. Jesus told us that in the last days that Satan would come with all power producing false signs and wonders. Let us be honest with ourselves. If God has granted Satan power to perform false signs and wonders to deceive, then could Satan heal someone through a false prophet or work some other kind of miracle? Doesn't Satan come as an angel of light? How does he come as an angel of light? Is it not through a preacher or a ministry that appears to do good? But is that ministry saying what God is saying about sin and wickedness in the church and is the focus of that ministry on outward healings and the supernatural or is it on the sinful condition and the more serious need of the church to be healed morally from sin and rebellion to God? Does this prophet or ministry cause people to seek after signs and wonders and the supernatural or cause them to seek after holiness and purity of devotion to Jesus Christ and to be healed of all sin and every practice that is not of God? Does that ministry or preacher seek for your donations? Does he bring glory to himself by making it a show of his “power” or is he humble and refuse to make a show of praying for anyone to be healed? www.christianmyths.org
There are many religious Images to be had. No image we take on will allow us to enter heaven except for the Image of Jesus Christ. Since American Christianity is divided up into more than a thousand denominations there are as many images that one could be conformed into. The only image we should be conformed into is the image of Jesus Christ. Today we have many, many denominations all claiming to be of Christ (Christian). Each one is different in spirit, in practice and in doctrine. The problem is that if you start going to “brand X” denomination you will start being conformed into the image of “brand X”. But if you leave the “brand X” denomination and start going to “brand Y” denomination, you will begin to lose the “brand X” image and start taking on the “brand Y” image. And of course if you leave the “brand Y” denomination (or non-denomination) and start attending the “brand Z” denomination, you will begin to take on more of the “brand Z” denomination image and start losing the images of the other brands. So, where did the rapture doctrine come from? It all started with a woman named Margaret MacDonald in 1830. She gave a “prophesy” concerning end times. Her “prophesy” was written down and later published in 1840 and again in 1861. From this “prophesy” a man named John Nelson Darby began to promote the concept of the rapture “theory” and it began to become popular. C. I. Scofield, a well-known theologian of the late 1800s and early 1900s, liked the rapture theory and began to include it in his annotated Bibles, and from there, it became widely popular in most American churches. False conversions come from using the Sinner's Prayers. The sinner's prayer was invented just a little over a hundred years ago and was never used by anyone in the Bible. Why didn't Jesus just lead the rich young ruler in a simple “sinner's prayer” and then tell him he had eternal life? Why didn't Jesus just tell the man to ask Jesus into his heart? Why did Jesus say that it was so hard for a rich man to be saved if all he had to do was pray the “sinner's prayer”? That is what the vast majority of today's ministers would have told the rich young man had to do, to just pray the “sinner's prayer,” and then they would tell him he was saved. Especially since the man obviously was a “good” moral person and he was also wealthy. Today's modern gospel is being presented by a new “hyper-grace” giving believers a false sense of security while they live in sin. Almost none of the grace teachers today distinguish between these two kinds of works (works of the law vs works of obedience) and teach that any effort on your part to be saved is wrong because they say that Jesus “did everything for you”. They teach that any kind of effort on your part is just an attempt at “works” salvation and they teach that faith alone in Jesus will save you. I have even heard one preacher on TV go so far as to say that to repent of sin or to even forgive others is not necessary for salvation, but to only accept Jesus and believe in Him and you will surely be saved without doing anything else. He suggested that for you to do something, even do anything such as repentance or forgiveness, in order to be saved, is nothing more than an attempt at “works” for salvation. He even said that we didn't have to do what Jesus said, because Jesus was speaking under the law and that we are now under grace. Even though it is a popular teaching today that because of grace you have no part in your salvation, don't be deceived into thinking that there is nothing you have to do to be saved. False pastors living a soft easy lifestyle. In this podcast I am going to talk with about the king principle and how it works in most pastors and preachers today. They love the honor of men and the unjust gain they receive from the members who work for a living. They are acting more like kings and princes than like humble servants of the people and of God. Kings live a life of ease, exalting themselves above the rest of the people and taking what they need from the people, so it is with todays pastors, prophets and ministry “leaders”. "They (the pharisees) love the place of honor at banquets and the chief seats in the synagogues, and respectful greetings in the market places, and being called Rabbi (pastor, reverend, doctor, etc.) by men. "But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. "Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. "Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ. "But the greatest among you shall be your servant. Entertainment has replaced true worship. I will examine why the modern church has redefined worship as something that is done in a certain location at a certain time. To be clear, worship is not about singing or making music. Singing is singing, and music is music. Worship is about what your heart goes after and the god you serve from within. If your god is money, you don't gather people around you and get a band of musical instruments together to make music and sing songs about money in order to worship the god of money, do you? Of course not! You just practice greed from your heart. The way you worship any of the other gods is to give them your heart, your affection, your love, your devotion, your obedience and you do everything in your everyday life you can to satisfy your desire for that god. It doesn't matter if that god is pride, sex, lust, greed, selfishness, anger, jealousy, sports, money, or any one of many of other gods offered by this world. If you worship and serve the god of sexual lust, you do so from within your heart every time you entertain lustful thoughts, commit immoral acts, view sexual content or participate in dirty jokes. Don't blame the devil for everything. There is a certain mentality going around today in the American Church that the devil is the cause of every negative thing that happens to us as Christians. Today, I am going to go further on the topic of false shepherds who are misleading God's sheep. Another one of the Great Deceptions today that comes from the false teachers is that the devil is the cause of all your problems. They say that the devil can make you sick, ruin your finances, bring curses on you, destroy your marriage, cause many other serious problems for you and even kill you. Many False Prophets, But Few True Prophets. There are multitudes of false prophets predicted by Jesus to be arising in the last days. Jesus also predicted that multitudes of people would be deceived by these false prophets. If the message is only about blessings, healings, prosperity, wealth and earthy things, while not addressing the sin and spiritual condition of the person, he is a false prophet. If he is taking your money for ministering to you, he is a false prophet.
