Today we decide about tomorrow podcast is a book transformed into a living document because it can be openly discussed, disputed and help discover the gems needed to make sound decisions that’ll spring forth a promising tomorrow and this concepts works in all areas of life. Hopefully this podcast can prove useful for many as it is for the narrator himself.
What they see so shall they become..we want one thing yet put a different lifestyle on display. Children tend to become a product of their environment so observe the obvious and become intentional about the experiences that you want them to have. Their regular routine shapes their life. Let's start at home, no more cursing out the teacher first before checking our impact. Quit requiring things of your kids without providing the necessary circumstances to produce the results you want. The future is bright and the options are endless but they only know what their exposed to! Let's be great as a family, not just through the children. Accountability, on the account of your ability to be there as the parent you know you should be. We're in this together!
All Rise! It's time we discuss the transitional phases of life, life according to Paul is geared in three phases. Confronting the past while accepting things for what they were and learning from the experience. Leaning into the concept that every lesson learned truly is a lesson earned. Paul, a great man of God is regarded with so much grace in modern day because of his status. This is seen routinely amongst the modern era because fandom and idolatry has us treating celebrities with the same grace depending on our individual interest in them. The public court of opinion matters none in the grand scheme of things and we are to be aware of that because desiring approval has driven many to ruin. Paul's story through a cursory glance depicts a horrific past and how he was received by others but that past wasn't a roadblock but rather benchmark to be remembered and studied. It's important to be honest with your self about yourself, it's truly the master key to evolving. Hopefully my transparency helps to drive the point home.
Friends! How many of us have them, friends? Ones you can depend on, friends! Episode 24 will be graced with the wisdom and insight of two individuals who I have known for more than two decades. These gentlemen have experienced and overcame all life has thrown at them. Travis Corley, who is a fellow podcaster (Gaining Control Podcast), is also an ex. college professor with a master’s degree in nonprofit organization. With dreams to inspire the world through motivational speeches, he has set out to speak with several urban youth groups in his hometown of Miami as well as Oklahoma City. It's truly an honor to have his voice on this episode.
The other guest speaker is none other than the neighborhood spiderman, D'andre Sherill. De'andre, or should I say Dreday, is an entrepreneur. This two-time national champion strove to leave a legacy so he created the brand "I Can I Will". Its meaning: “no matter what life’s struggles and obstacles have thrown at me, I can and will overcome them if I just Believe.” “ICIW began as I was diligently working to obtain a scholarship at North Carolina A&T State University which was then taken from me without a justifiable cause.” He empowers his clients to not only believe in themselves but to live life with the ICIW mindset. It is said you are the sum of your friends. I didn't agree with that statement until I came to the realization that resilience is embedded in our DNA. Our brotherhood was forged by the desire to prevail over the obstacles and hardships that were out of our control. Join in as we walk down memory lane describing events that helped shape the men we are today and what we are currently deciding on today that will affect our tomorrow.
There are a few people in this world that have a constant energy about them no matter their surroundings, Mrs Jacqueline happens to be one of few. In a world where identity is the common struggle for most it's encouraging to hear from some one who cracked the code! Jacqueline speaks from a familiar place regarding the inner desires to fit in and receive validation. Come and listen to a dialogue that has me contemplating a sequel! Sorry for the delay, life has gotten the best of me! This is no excuse for lack of content but please accept this episode as my apology...Get It While Im giving' it out for free!!
Who'd ever think that one would have to wonder if they support themselves but truth of the matter is most of us struggle in this department. Struggle to believe in ourselves. Consistently giving ourselves excuses instead of expectations. Self sabotaging and denying ourselves luxurious accommodations and amazing accomplishments just because we can not relinquish habits that have corrupted and damaged our trajectory. The sky is the limit but you have to believe you can fly! I comes before U in the alphabet and adolescents learn that, let's create self loyalty. Whose team are you on?
Last episode we discussed how men suffer in silence and how idols and ideals play such a catastrophic role in the constant struggle. This episode we venture out into no man's land(literally) because as a male the narrator admits to not being a subject matter expert but to decided to research and brought an interesting perspective to the table. Enlisting statistics supporting how many women are currently prescribed some type of medication for depression, anxiety, ADHD and mental health disorder and 1 out of every 3 have or consulted with the idea of cosmetic surgery. Modern day women are stated to be unhappy even with all of the freedoms and etc and it shouldn't be this way. Come have a listen today and see what we can decide on about tomorrow!

Depression is a mainstream topic in the modern era, most of it is subjugated with simple antidotal remedies. Ex. "Call in at work", "go on vacation", "Suck it up and be a man", "Stop Whining all the time". Has anybody ever thought of why we're so depressed, what is it that has us all feeling like total failures even when a great percentage of us have accomplished more than our ancestors? Though you've traveled far you still feel as though you haven't came far enough. On today we decide about tomorrow podcast I wanted to be transparent and introspective. I believe we struggle because of two things: Idols and ideals
Idol a person or thing that is greatly admired, loved, or revered.
Ideals: a person or thing regarded as perfect. Standard of perfection.
We live our lives striving for the approval of others, desiring to be wanted, accepted, and championed. Longing to meet the criteria of the general public based on the ideologies we've observed and were taught to succumb too. Let's discuss some statistics and observations and then allow me to show you were I fell on the spectrum.... Episode 20
On the episode Color Me Grande, we discussed how we see ourselves. We’ve tackled how we must heighten the scope in order to create drive. These ideals focus on how you, see you. Although challenging, I believe it is imperative that we become introspective. Now it’s time to get surgical. On episode 19, we are going to address legacy in a sense. How do you want to be perceived? Even better, how would you like your story to be told? Currently, you're welding the pen to compose your memoir. As the author, what do you think of your story thus far? If it came to an abrupt end, would the story encourage or disappoint? I challenge you to leave a legacy. A name that leaves an impact on those you encounter even after you're no longer around to edit the files. My Uncle Cranfort Wilson did this for me. I am because He was! He wrote an insightful memoir with his actions as will I.

On this episode of TDWDAT we have a very introspective dialogue with my brother Keith. This was a very special episode because we've never discussed personal experiences due to a lack of fostering a consistent relationship. We lived completely different lives so it weighed heavy on the relationship plus he never desired that I would walk in his likeness so he preferred the distance. This episodes really allows me to understand his ideals in terms of parenting, why he gravitated to the lifestyle he lived and what life has taught him throughout the years. Sorry in advance for the audio but again this was recorded during one of his calls from prison. Hope you enjoy! Remember today we decide about tomorrow!!

What is it worth? No achievement comes without sacrifice so with that in mind ask your self how important is this objective. Based on that you can determine what you're willing to sacrifice. Something has to die off in order for this objective to live. Be honest with yourself, nothing can be done with lies except delays. It's a new year and a new day, what are you deciding on? What is it worth......

One of the biggest errors we make in life is misusage, we misuse the moments and opportunities that arise in our lives. Sometimes we have to have foresight and know that we will need certain information for the moments that are upheld so listen and learn when failure doesn't cost you a lot. Cease the need to lead before the appointed time. Unless forced into position take heed to information while being a student is assessable because when it's time to guide the orchestra you will not have time to read the manual and complete the task at a high level, the distractions behind your back will interrupt your focus. Lead with standards, strive for excellence and that when its your turn someone will watch and sit in your seat. Be prepared.....
How well do you know yourself? Where are you currently on this journey? Can you make it? You have to know yourself and be honest with your self in order to carefully assess your situation. This episode will serve as a review for everyone who has been following the Pod for a while now! What are we deciding on today that we will want to see the fruit of tomorrow...

Perception is important, we have to be honest with ourselves and look at life or what it is while at the same time the students of ourselves. I’ve learned that sometimes I view life from a pessimistic standpoint And it’s move me to respond in a negative way so now here I am educating you to view life differently. You’re in charge of your own destiny so grab the wheel and direct it as such. Remember many men have died as somebody they were not in search of who they were supposed to become. Remember I could always be worse but even better it could always be better. Today we decide about tomorrow

No middle grounds part 2, the constituent! Often this person is mistaken for the confidant because you tend to share so many ideals, passions and even circumstances but these individuals aren't into you but into the mission or cause that you share. You have to be mindful because these individuals will sway at the blink of advancement that comes in their favor from another avenue. Lets weigh the roster and measure the influence...Who in the group best describes this person? There are no limitations to time, you'd be surprised how long some one will hide their true intentions.
Years ago Bishop TD Jakes spoke on the four types of friends we will encounter in our life and it lead me to expound on how we wrongly appoint people in our life. We don’t monitor or Assess the relationships so now it’s time to decide today about our friends!

No matter where you're at in life remember that you can always change the direction and get to the destination, but you have to first be honest with yourself and point out where you currently reside on the journey...Now doesn't always define later, but you have to make a choice today about tomorrow. Look at change and embrace it or face change and lose to it because no matter what this world can and will continue to evolve, the goal is to advance as well. Choose change over comfort, willingness over stagnation! Break the cycle!

The mind is a dangerous neighborhood if used poorly, in this study we find that the rats proved to scientists that the brain creates habits out of the desire to save effort and so we as human being highly intelligent must harness this discovery and counter bad habits but seeing how the process works. He’ll never operate outside of what he believes in himself which is why in sports coaches and teammates have to give someone a “pep” talk…said person needs to be motivated by revealing that they aren’t operating at a level fitting of their skillset. Today we decide to look at our self in a different lighting because a little change of perspective today could impact tomorrow in ways you’d never understand….
