This episode, we dive into a really interesting conversation about Irish immigrants, how they eventually came to be recognized as part of the American story and what that journey says about humanity as a whole. Dr. Stephen Brighton, professor of anthropology at the University of Maryland, explains how Irish immigration to the US is similar to other diasporas throughout history, and what the concepts of prejudice, tolerance, assimilation and segregation say about humanity as a species.
