Wassup Church is a podcast about one man's journey to chase after God. Host Daniel Jordan sits down weekly to candidly discuss all the things surrounding his faith in Jesus Christ. The victories, the struggles, testimonies, biblical insights, and anything else he feels like talking about. This isn't a bible study podcast or anything like that. This is simply one man's audio journal and journey to be in His presence. Hope you enjoy it.

Wassup Church! Hope you are all well from any weather issues, depending on where you live. In this episode I want to talk about putting my faith in cruise control and how that is really dumb...for me. I am learning more and more about the reality of His presence and what I need to do to be in it. Enjoy!

Wassup Church! No, I wasn't kidnapped. Yes, I am back with more recordings and stuff. My schedule was hectic but I wanted to share the message I gave recently about my testimony. Not the part that you have heard, but the part I never knew existed, until recently. I had to come face to face with my spirit of gluttony. I hope you enjoy.
Wassup Church! I am back from vacation. Sorry I missed you last week, but I am back and recording. In this episode I wanted to reflect on the different churches I have experienced in life and how those experiences have shaped my faith today. It was those experiences that have made me value where I am at and where I am going. I hope you have a blessed day!
Wassup Church! In today's episode I wanted to revisit the idea willful sin and how that is different from just sinning. I am becoming more and more aware of how my spiritual battles creep into my life through the backdoor. I don't put the same level of concern on certain temptations, as I do others, and that is when I fall short.
Wassup Church! In this episode I really wanted to dive into potential. We all have potential in our lives, but are we really living up to it? I look at the story of Samson and how his story is a tragic tale of unrealized potential. We can easily judge him, but are we guilty of the same attitude?
Wassup Church! What is justice? Why do I desire punishment to those I disagree with over their forgiveness? Why am I like Jonah? In this episode, I finish the book of Jonah and try to understand how Jonah could be mad at God's compassion and forgiveness of Nineveh. More importantly, how I act the same way today.
Wassup Church! Why don't we recognize it when God is trying to get our attention? I was reading Jonah, and it amazed me that the "secular" sailors immediately knew their storm was a spiritual battle. Why does our generation ignore that today? Why do I ignore/avoid/run when God is peaking to me? That is what I wanna talk about in this podcast.

Wassup Church! Today I get real honest and ask myself the question...Could I have been able to walk with Jesus? Will would like to think this would be a no-brainer, but when I really start reading the scriptures, really look at how Jesus talked, and what Jesus said to people...the question is much harder than I thought.

Wassup Church! What is up church!? Once again we are in John and I am rediscovering stories from the bible that I thought I knew. My goal is to get rid of the familiarity with some of the most famous moments in the bible and try to see them with fresh eyes. Well...the story of the blind man (Charlie) who gets his vision back in John 9 is that story. I can't wait to share my thoughts and how I am seeing this entire story with new eyes...just like Charlie.

Wassup Church! What is up church!? Today we are talking about a classic story, but with a new focal point. We are all familiar with Lazarus being raised from the dead, but I was just reading it with new eyes and I was drawn to Martha and her experience in the story. I just really identified with both Martha and Mary in this story, but really identified with Martha and her approach to her faith.

Wassup Church! We are continuing our conversation of Once Saved Always Saved. In this discussion we really wanted to dive into scripture. We take a hard look at some of the dominant scriptures both for and against this belief, and how they can either be right or wrong. We let scripture interpret scripture here, but we obviously do our best to explain our positioning with each.

Wassup Church! This episode is going to get meaty! Well…the next three episodes to be exact. We are going in on the belief/concept/idea/theology of “Once Saved, Always Saved”. Let me start with the disclaimer in saying that this discussion isn’t meant to criticize or condemn anyone…but it is meant to provoke thought, and hopefully that thought will inspire you to do your own homework on this issue. Theologians and students of the Word have been debating this topic since Calvin introduced it. My hope is that you enjoy this, and it inspires you to truly know where you stand with your Creator!

Wassup Church! Today's podcast is hopefully self-explanatory...am I building my kingdom or His? Really I try to get to the "heart posture" of my decisions since I left Vegas. Being analytical, it is frustrating when I realize that the thing I told myself I was doing for a good reason ends up being a selfish reason. Even something like pursuing the Lord...am I doing that to get closer to him or closer to his promises, gifts, anointing, etc?! I take a hard look at where my heart is focused.

Well...we get personal and brutally honest today. On this episode I go hard into pornography. Specifically, how pornography shaped my life and became my fiercest addiction. How that addiction shaped my youth, my life, and how it tried to destroy my identity and my marriage. Fortunately, we serve an amazing God and loving Father who wants the best for His children. While my story is hard for me to even want to remember, I am so thankful that He is is good and faithful. Although I don't spend a ton of time addressing them, my smooth stones #3 & #4 are in this episode...
Smooth Stone #3: Romans 12:2 - And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Smooth Stone #4: 2 Corinthians 10:3-6 - For though we walk in the flesh we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, costing down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Oh man...did the Lord do a number on me this morning! In this episode I talk about my prideful convictions being exposed for what they are/were. How I so easily made idols out of my own opinions and ignored what the Word says. I love having friends who are going after God because this whole episode is a result of a that. I can truly admit that I had a Redwood sized log in my eye when it came to my faith, walk, and view of God.

Wassup Church! Welcome to Episode #4 and our journey down my 5 smooth stones. Today we go deep into Smooth Stone #2...
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not own your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path. - Proverbs 3:5-6
This scripture is so special to me because it evokes such a level of faith. Like being immediately aware of how much faith I have, or don't have, in Him. Do I trust Him? Plus I love how this scripture takes me to so many other parts of the bible...Hebrews, Daniel, and Job...and we go super deep on that. I love, love, love, love the phrase "But if not," which I explain in this podcast. I hope this podcast triggers something in you to take your faith to another level and your relationship with Him deeper.

Wassup Church! Today I am introducing the 5 Smooth Stones concept of holding onto 5 scriptures that help you fight your giants. I want to share with you the FIRST scripture that really laid me flat...
But Jesus said to him, ""No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God." - Luke 9:62
This is my first smooth stone and I love talking about how amazing it is. It touches your past, your future, your identity, your focus, your priorities, your heart posture, and just so many things. I hope you end up loving and appreciating this scripture a little more today than you did yesterday.

Sooooooooo, yeah. This is a pretty condensed version of my testimony. My whole goal with this episode was to provide any of you joining this crazy train to have a decent understanding of me and my perspectives. And I truly believe hearing, even if briefly, my testimony is the best way to help you understand the lens and vibe of this thing. I will be the first to tell you that there was so much let out of this thing, details about healings, prophetic words, etc...that are definitely going to be showing up in future episodes.
