Wendy’s Bio: Wendy Corner
Having had an abandonment experience aged 2, Wendy made the unconscious decision “My voice doesn’t matter!” Whilst she didn’t remember that incident and the Internal Script that she adopted for over 50 years, it coloured her life choices. As a child she made up her own language and played with voices, impersonating different regional accents in the UK. She chose Speech Pathology as a career as unconsciously she didn’t want anyone else to have that same feeling she had had about their voice not mattering.
Various life experiences gave her the opportunity to learn and practice resilience and determination: from the abandonment, moving to a different part of the country and leaving behind her brother and friends, not getting into Uni for 2 years on the trot, her husband having a nervous breakdown, finding him dead after a heart attack, migrating to Australia, losing her job and being threatened with deportation, then setting up a business which was all but wiped out because of COVID. Her Internal Script “He who perpetually lives under the surface will sooner or later drown!” helped her through.
Now, a x2 International Best Selling Author, Award winning Speaker Coach and Podcaster she works with speakers to craft and deliver their talks to the right audience from the right platform in a way they can hear and want to hear. She has worked with the TEDx UWA Coaching Team for six years and works with authors to take them from #Page2Stage so they take every opportunity to show Their Words Have Power. Her unique blend of working with the mind and body enables her clients to connect deeply to their audiences, both heart and mind and to Make A Difference with their transformational talks.

About your host: I'm Drew Deraney, the proud father of three children. For most of my life I've been concerned with what people thought of me and how I was supposed to act. I learned not to be my authentic self and instead became a people pleaser, a man wearing a mask.
In a 9-month span a few years ago, I endured four faith-shaking life events that caused me to question my existence.
I became determined to find a better way to live. Through intense self-reflection and awareness, I realized that in order to be happy, I must adhere to my standards of honesty, integrity and truth and needed to break free from the belief system that was anchored in me for close to 50 years.
I found my purpose and my mission in life. I've now become the man I know I am meant to be. My mission is empowering men ready to make a change to do the same.
My men's group and one-on-one coaching provide a safe space for men to share, without judgement, and transform. My male clients learn to release their inner greatness and stop self-sabotage, the #1 roadblock keeping them from reaching their goals.

Jeff’s Bio: Jeff Hahl
In a world where men are reclaiming their inner strength through vulnerability, my journey into the lives of young gang members has been an unexpected but profound one.
My childhood summering on Long Beach Island and school year in Colorado was far removed from the realities of gang life and the lives of these kids. But my own struggles with self-worth have served as a powerful bridge, allowing me to connect deeply with these young men on their own journeys.
My transformative experience as a 22-year-old living in East Africa instilled in me a desire to root myself in my own community in Denver, where a different kind of war rages, one fought in the hearts of these young men. Beyond the gang rivalries like the Bloods and Crips, lies an internal battle, an unknown desire to find their own sense of worth. The outward aggression and violence are but masks for the deep inner pain they carry.
As a mentor to these young men, I have the privilege of walking alongside them, revealing that they are worthy, and that they are children of God.

Ivy Woolf Turk Bio: Even the most well lived lives can contain moments when obstacles require us to find new tools to deal with adversity or the unexpected.…when life throws curve balls, and we feel stuck or “imprisoned” in one way or another. I sure did!
For almost 20 years, I co-owned and managed a multi-million-dollar real estate portfolio, survived cancer, divorce, and single parenthood. All of this culminated in the betrayal of my business partner and I unwittingly got caught up in a fraudulent scheme and was sentenced to five years in Danbury Federal Prison!
Hi, I'm Ivy Woolf Turk.
During my time in Danbury, I realized that I was imprisoned in my outwardly successful life long before I was actually sentenced to serve my time. And, by the time I walked out of my seven by seven-foot cube for the last time after living there for forty-seven months, I realized that it shouldn't take a stint in Federal Prison for a woman to find her worth. And although Federal Prison gave me nothing, it certainly took a lot away. It took my home, my business, my reputation, and my place in my family. I was isolated, humiliated and degraded.
Even though I was surrounded by 200 suffering strangers, I was so very alone. With no other way to grieve my overwhelming losses, I found myself turning within. And it was there that I found the real riches in my life. They had been there all along…I just didn’t know it!
Upon release, I needed a credential other than “ex-felon” to effectuate my dreams. So after a year of working odd jobs while pursuing my certification with Coaching for Transformation/ Leadership that Works, I became a certified professional coach. I founded Resiliency Coaching to work with individuals one on one and two years later, founded Project Liberation. Our trauma informed and healing workshops provide justice involved women the tools they need to create powerful and transformational relationships with self, other and community.
Ten years later, it has become crystal clear to me that there are many prisons in which we find ourselves- but most don’t involve bars and cement walls. After coaching thousands of individuals both one on one and in group settings, Ihave founded A Liberated Lifeseries for those who want to move from the life they have to one they may not have even dared to dream of!
As a Champion of Freedom, I utilize my story to inspire others, not only as a coach, but as a keynote speaker, workshop facilitator, consultant and as an author. I have spoken domestically and internationally at many conferences, at the White House and from high schools to Harvard, partnered with the Department of Health and the United Nations. I was named New Yorker of the week and have been featured in Forbes, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, The Telegraph/ India and many other media outlets.
But none of those platforms or my B.S from Boston University are as important to me as regaining my place as matriarch of my family. I am inspired every day by my four adult children and my two very special grandchildren.
This episode: About 13 years ago, when I was pregnant with my fifth child, I realized that I wasn't in a fulfilling marriage. Me and my husband's relationship wasn't what I really wanted.

Old Belief System (The One Given To Me) Once computers came, I started to get addicted to computers and to video games, and then the internet and then pornography, so I got a lot of addictions under my belt. I kept on going with that because it was safe, yet I was wasting years of my life year after year after year.
Caving In (The Defining Moment) Until I had like this this moment when I was playing a video game and this feeling and my higher-self reached out to me and said like hey, you need to stop. You need to stop playing video games and get help. And I was like, Whoa, what is this? So, I put down my controller and it was a bit flabbergasted. But I knew I was doing the right thing. I knew that I need to get help. So, the next couple of days I told my parents, I need to get help because I'm not doing anything with my life.
Coping (Managing Expectations) After that I went to see the doctor and he sent me to a therapist. She talked to me and she asked me, Vincent, what do you do with your life? I looked at her and I started to cry. I was like, I don't have a life. I don't do anything with my life. I'm just playing video games, watching pornography every single day. I'm not living! I'm dying! She’s like, “well, Vincent, don't worry. We're going to set you up with the right help. I don't feel you need medication but we're going to put you in group therapy. And from there the world open for me.
Crushing It (The Turnaround) I felt a better understanding about myself. I learned tools or tricks, but most important was my understanding of my trauma, the backpack that I was carrying with me my entire life. I have more light on that. And after that, I got really addicted to self-development. I started to read books and I started to learn more about myself, learn more about the world. It was also my downfall because I only wanted to keep myself safe. I wanted to read so many books and go to so many courses and get so many coaching that I don't feel any pain. I don't feel any sadness, but I wasn't taking any action, and I was struggling with that for a long time. That became my addiction. Just reading books but not taking action. I was living my life in fear. I was scared to go out. I was scared to have fun. I was scared to do anything. Then my higher-self reached out to me and told me “you need to make a change. And from there I just made it out there. I started taking action.

Old Belief System (The One Given To Me) Definitely my life is not, you know, A to Z type path like you're not going to just go do this, then do this and you can do this and you can do this. It's very much like A to H. You really don't know what life is going to have or what's going to happen to you. I was an accountant. I was very career focused.
Caving In (The Defining Moment) Back when he was little, we did not really realize that there was an issue. I didn't have any like reference points. I didn't have any kids around. And I think I was also a bit of denial. He didn't get to certain point and then it kind of just stopped. There was no spontaneous language.
Coping (Managing Expectations) And I was talking to some of the other people that were involved in the program. And I don't even know how it happened. It was just like one day a decision was made that we were gonna start an organization to help families be able to afford these types of therapies. And it just kind of one thing led to another and then 2018 We got approval.

This episode: And I've been given basically a death sentence.
Here’s what you’ll learn about:
Old Belief System (The One Given To Me) I had the number one job. I was pursuing that because that's what I thought I should be doing right now because it's what I wanted to do and it was the best way to provide for my family. My relationships I realized were not very fulfilling or all surface level and while I was contributing to my community, I really didn't have anyone that I consider as a close friend or confidant.
Caving In (The Defining Moment) Russell was a successful Chief Actuary for a Fortune 500 subsidiary, at the height of his professional career, and was diagnosed with a rare liver disease, Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC), at the age of 39.
Coping (Managing Expectations) And so thankfully, as you can tell I did receive a liver transplant so I'm here and you would think that would be the two by fours. But the two-by-four was really the time afterwards in my recovery. And it's when I started going back to the same life that I felt before going into that same routine, and recognizing that I just went through this, this crucible of a crisis that I don't really like what I've created in life.

This episode: And We Started a Journey Through What Was Hell.
Old Belief System (The One Given To Me) My dad worked for the same company his entire career, he actually worked for the same company his father worked for his entire career. There was a loyalty I grew up expecting and looking for. I went to start my career with this idea of you go to a company, you start at the bottom, and you do your loyalty thing and you just work hard you work your way up the corporate ladder of America. It was the 1950s through 70s model that I grew up thinking still existed. And that was a very straight line.
Caving In (The Defining Moment) My wife was pregnant with our second child. When my son was born, he had a lot of medical trouble. At 15 months my son was diagnosed with cancer. And we started a journey through what was hell. Within three months of his diagnosis, my wife and I found out she was pregnant. My health care benefits have never been more important to me. Then I was laid off from my Wall Street job. I realize my son doesn't have chemo treatment covered by insurance. My wife doesn't have a prenatal appointment covered by insurance. I went to work for another investment company. At which point I was told that I was given an option to be relocated to St. Louis, Missouri, or taking the check that was sitting in the envelope on the table.
Coping (Managing Expectations) And then about six months I started going to job fairs. And this guy leaned over the barrier. And he started just talking. He says come in and meet with me. We have this meeting that ends up taking me to lunch and we probably spent two hours just talking about who I was. As a father. What my son had gone through. He's a dad, he has kids and one of his kids has some challenges too.

I lived life with distortions. I chose to make the decision that landed me in a 20-year prison sentence. Still inside of that jail, not understanding the root of why I made the decisions I made, this sentence really forced me to step into some of my irrational thoughts and wonder what's up.

RJ fearlessly challenges those in society to step out of their comfort zone into the Prison Ministry arena.
Secondly, RJ’s unwavering dedication lies in supporting and empowering the men behind the prison walls, to discover that their purpose, value, and identity is not defined by their circumstances, but rather through their relationship with Jesus Christ.
RJ has made an intentional decision to live his life with transparency and vulnerability and is inviting you to join him in doing the same. RJ shares this is only possible through accepting Jesus into your heart and making Him your Lord and Savior.

This episode: So early on, I have a taste of money, how to make money. I delivered newspapers. I used to do cold calling, even the age of 14 with my parents’ agreement. I also used to put labels on products for a beauty product company. Making money was just a fun thing to do. A real pivotal moment was when my mom was buying a sweater for my brother for the new school year. And I was like, what about me? They were there for girls too. My mom said “well, you have your money, buy your own.” From that moment, I decided that I would not ask for money. I will make my own money. I'll never ask for anything again. That was a really pivotal moment. It’s what prompted me to even become more of an entrepreneur. I wanted to make money because that was my driver point.

This episode: Growing up I was taught to focus on my career and everything else will fall in place. That's not even close to true. I think the really low point was she left in November, two weeks before Thanksgiving. I'm there and I'm thinking, wow, everything. I did all this for my family and now it's gone. I thought, I'm gonna get through this. I'm gonna get through this. I went to counseling, which was a big deal, and it was the girls would go individually and I would go individually with the girls. I’m a type A personality and the first thing I said was, I want this to fix my daughter's suffering.

Education
This episode: Basically, I was that girl who did not want to be front and center of anybody's attention and made it a point to just stay away from everybody. So much so that the first guy who came along and said he loved me, I believed him. Well, that turned into a nightmare. About four years of verbal and mental abuse on top of being bullied and being abused all through school, I’m surprised I’m not the person that curled up into a ball. Just now I’m realizing that all that led to mental health issues. And I guess that's why I'm a huge advocate today for it.

This episode: I was still carrying this grudge towards this coach. This is stupid. He's not affecting my life. He doesn't even care. Which is like when they say it's like swallowing poison and hoping it will help hurt the other person. I went to a college in Ohio that didn’t have football and then I switched colleges with my girlfriend. Ironically, we broke up before I started school in Colorado. So I was captain of the team for two years. I was all-conference for two years. I kind of wasted College. It came easy for me. I didn't want to be there, but I was there to play football and have fun.

This episode: I learned that at a very young age that I was very passionate about emotional health, especially with kids. You characterize yourself as an unhappy child, or you think that was the case because you were told you were, and I also I think I was not the person I am now. I mean, I think I am the opposite. I was not comfortable in social situations. I didn't feel confident. That definitely developed big time as I went through high school and then went into college.

Jessica Bush Bio: For Jessica, “making learning personal” is not just a slogan – it’s the foundation on which she has built Tutor Doctor North Jersey. For the past 11 years, her instinct for uncovering the unique needs and desires of students and their families – and her passion for helping them achieve their dreams – have been the hallmarks of her tutoring practice.
Her commitment to helping others and sensitivity to mental health advocacy is something Jessica learned from her mother, and she credits her father for nurturing her love of art. Weaving together these twin legacies, she is guided by her intuition to find creative, out-of-the-box solutions to helping students of all abilities overcome even the most complex learning challenges.
Jessica and her tutors – many of whom have been with her for years – are sensitive to the range of issues students struggle with today. They understand that learning is often about more than just mastering academics. Whether it’s test anxiety, executive function, or school avoidance, their expertise lies in helping families address these concerns holistically.
Just as no two students are alike, nothing about the Tutor Doctor process is standardized. Jessica listens and observes in order to fully understand each student’s goals, frustrations, and unique dynamics, at home and in school. She then pairs the student with the ideal tutor, and together they create a customized game plan. Her aim is to build a support team with a shared commitment to seeing the student learn and grow.
Families know they can count on Jessica to be honest, responsive, and professional. She has earned her clients’ trust by being accessible and reliable, as well as by respecting their privacy and maintaining complete confidentiality. Whether helping parents learn to advocate on behalf of their student or navigate the college admissions maze, she is dedicated to making learning personal – every single day.

This episode: Yeah, and quite honestly, for your listeners, if you are experiencing a bully boss, it's not you. It's them. Get the experience, hold your head up high and then leave and be successful. And that's what I did. He was someone that I knew from a prior PR firm and He then started his own agency. And so I reached out he hired me on the spot and I started a few days later and I stayed for eight and a half years.

This episode: And the truth is, as I was that angry, scared little boy, was a kid, and with the money, the power, the status, I literally turned to the Wall Street lifestyle. I'm not kidding. I lived there for almost three years and it almost cost me my firm, my career, my friendships, my marriage, and if I kept myself there it would have cost me my life. What I hadn't dealt with is I grew up around a significant amount of violence, abuse, both inside and outside the home, and I never felt safe and as an 18 years old, instead of being the first person in my family to go to graduate college because I had all these scholarships, all these different universities, I went ahead and I committed a violent crime.

This episode: I lived in California, and I had a booming business. I was in the fitness industry, and I employed several other trainers, and I loved what I did. And that all changed in the blink of an eye when I was coming home from work, and I was on the Harley cruising down Ventura Boulevard and this SUV shot out a parking lot and T boned me and I was thrown 30 feet and by the time I finished sliding across the asphalt I looked down at my leg and it was just crumbled into pieces. And I didn't know at the time and thank goodness I didn't know because I probably would have been even more freaked out, but my femoral artery was actually severed.

This episode: Before my career change, I was in HR for 22 years, and I was very competent, I knew what I was doing every single day. I didn't have to worry about ‘do I know what I'm doing in my mind? Am I an imposter in this role?’ I'd never had that thought ever! I was very competent, certified and everything in that role and I was really confident and then you know, everything changed when I changed careers, and that confidence was lost for a while there. I didn’t always have the confidence I had in HR. I was very shy. I didn't like myself very much. You know, I was not very kind to myself, just because I didn't think I was worthy of anything.

This episode: One thing that I think I always find worth mentioning that I actually grew up in East Germany, behind the wall. It has shaped the way I see the world because when you grow up in a tiny country with no way out, you know there is something beyond those little borders. All I could see was the opportunity. The reason I find that's so relevant to how I live my life was because at that time, at 23 years old, I got to see that most of the things that people shy away from, for me, it's like, what's the big deal?

This episode: Every entrepreneur and really every person in life, knows life is never a straight line from point A to point B. It's always something new gets thrown into our path, a challenge, some obstacle, that we have to overcome. Scott had his own business and kept going back to working for others and part of him still had the bug of hey, I really want to be my own boss, run my own business. This episode: What I saw was very healthy man in his mid-40s within a couple of years, be not even 10% of the person that he was a couple of years ago. I made a vow that whatever I do in life I will never ever give up. Whatever happens to me, I will not put myself in that position where I give up. So, I moved from Kashmir to Manchester. So is a brand-new culture for me. It was the first kind of moment where I became self-aware in terms of coming to a new country, learning a new language, making new friends from nothing, and not actually being able to speak the language. I was in kind of a shell shocked.

Interview Content For Marketing and Training
________________________________________________
Marketing
Most marketing experts will tell you that you should have videos on your website. What if creating a storyboard, writing scripts and memorizing them and then going into a studio isn't what your team wants to do?
Interview content is the solution!
We'll record video interviews with your leadership team and influencers in your network to showcase the genius of your network.
Training
Most training systems feature one expert. We can work together to define the problem(s) you're facing, decide what solutions your team needs and then create a training system featuring interviews with multiple experts to put into an online “learning library”.

This episode: Mike and I discuss what it’s like when life throws you a curve ball and you were looking for that fastball. While teaching his kids the value of an education, he was reminded about his lack of education. That’s when it hit him that he was being hypocritical and he had to make a change.

This episode: I grew up in the 50’s and 60’s, stereotypical rural upbringing, distant emotionally repressed father, a good man, but he didn’t have any emotional intelligence at all. Quiet, dutiful mother, just very traditional. It was a general of “boys don’t cry.” My dad taught me that men never show their emotions on his sleeve. The problem was I was a very sensitive kid and couldn’t release them, so I suppressed them and turned to alcohol. In my 20’s is when I was forced to wake up.
To learn more about William, go to LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/in/williamgracefrost/ or his Website at mensfreedomformula.com
William Grace Frost Bio:
As a father and stepfather of 5 amazing and challenging young men, grandfather of two, ex-professional athlete and business owner of multiple enterprises, William has learned many lessons of manhood, teamwork, leadership and parenting through humbling trial and error.
At the apex of his career, sporting a 6-figure income and a 7-figure net worth, in the middle of a painful divorce, William walked away from it all to devote the next six years to parenting his three boys. During that time, he met an extraordinary woman, Quiana, who was to become his new wife.
Quiana brought with her two sons of her own, so the Frost clan quickly grew to the size of a basketball team. Having been a workaholic for many years, William soon discovered that “being fully present” with his boys, and being a stepparent, was harder than expected. But together, he and Quiana successfully navigated the labyrinth of parenting their band of wildly diverse young men. Today, their brood, all in their 30’s and scattered across 5 states and 4 time zones, have added a grandson and granddaughter to the mix.
William is passionate about supporting men of all ages and stages, who like himself, bought into society’s delusional story of what it means to be a man and to be successful -- have awakened to the emptiness of the external pursuit of happiness and all its trappings -- and are ready to shift into a life of authenticity, freedom and fulfillment.
He says that in his experience of men, that they are indoctrinated from a very early age to numb out their feelings, hide their inadequacies, cover up their mistakes and act tough. Consequently, when they grow up, they have mostly inauthentic and disconnected relationships with very few communication skills to help them cope and thrive.
He believes that in order to enjoy true intimacy, have fulfilling relationships and live healthy productive lives at home and work, men need to get real. They need to learn how to take good care of their bodies, minds and spirits, connect with others by sharing their feelings, live in integrity with their agreements, and prioritize their time based on values rather than blindly accepting antiquated blueprints of manliness and success. The foundation of which, is laid down in early years of parenting.
William has been participating in, training and facilitating, adult and teen groups since the late 70’s when he was first inspired by the poet, Robert Bly, and his ground-breaking book, Iron John. He was initiated as a Mankind Project New Warrior in 2007, and has participated in, and facilitated, weekly Integration Groups ever since. In I-Groups men 18 and older learn and practice the importance of self-care, emotional intelligence, defusing the power of negative self-beliefs and living lives of integrity.
In 2019 was when I feel like I hit my financial and business entrepreneurial, a rock bottom, so to speak. So almost exactly four years ago. I had plenty of self-limiting belief systems in my head that I could not be a successful businesswoman. Run a practice and be a successful mom at the same time. We were just talking about this before we jumped on right it was this idea that there was this work life balance idea, it's all an illusion, like very strongly had in my head that I couldn't do both and 2019 and really all came to a head where every single account that we had was down to zero. I business checking account, our personal savings, our personal checking, zero and my phone bill was due, and I had to swallow my pride and ego and call a friend and say hey, this is a situation that can I please borrow some money just to pay our phone bill? because I had three kids. I can't risk not having, you know, a phone that's functional and for a couple days. So, it was really, it was embarrassing it was an, and I remember feeling in that moment just I never want to do this again I'm so over this. I'm definitely, I'm just so tired of not feeling like I can cope with life optimal financial aspect of things.

This episode:
I don’t remember a time when I didn’t want to die. What was sad was that my parents, the people who I looked up to, who I saw how much they were working, they had nine kids to take care of. My mom was also in a wheelchair. And so my dad was constantly like, juggling everything. My mom was trying to keep sane with losing her ability to walk. And I just saw how much they were trying to do for their kids. And I felt like I was such a terrible human being for being miserable. I'm like I should love what they're doing. I love them. I'm grateful for all that they do for me and I hate life and I'm miserable inside and I was like, what's wrong with me? Why can’t I be better? Why am I not a better daughter? Why am I not just more grateful for things?

This episode:
The doctors told me like you're probably never going to be able to walk again because the heel bone actually fell out during the accident, that's how open the wound was. And I just remember not believing them for a second. I was like, yeah, that's not going to happen. Now. It wasn't the power of mindset then, it was being 16 and being like, I'm not going to be on crutches. It just was a vanity thing; I have to admit. I don't know who I would have been, I just know that I am thankful for all that stuff that I've been through. and to anybody listening to this who has a story, to me. it's like if I catch myself in victim mentality, if I live in that saying, ‘well that happened to me when the war happened and then I lost this’ and I'm giving too much power to those people and those events. And to me, I'm not doing that in this lifetime.

The special needs world is not something you choose, but you come to really appreciate it, the gift these children really are.

Joe Rude Bio
Solar companies are everywhere these days, there are good ones and scammers. I am Joe "Mr. Sunshine" Rude. I spent 25 years in the Wayne, NJ Police Force. When I retired, I wanted to do something that could make a difference in my life, and the lives of my children.
As a resident of Wayne, NJ I live and work in the area. I work to make sure that each and every one of my customers understand the advantages of solar and feel comfortable that it is truly beneficial to not only the environment but to their pocketbook.
We are local representatives for Powur one of the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing companies. The company is financially secure, and investor backed. Powur has well over 11,000 solar installations across the country. In fact, they were the first solar company to offset 100% of its emissions from manufacturing. To top it off, as a fully certified B-corp, Money from every installation goes to preserving millions of acres of the Amazon rainforest.
“It was really in that moment that my life shifted from being a kid to transforming to wanting to help. I initially studied the natural power of visualization. My why never stopped. Kris Benfry Bio
Ever since a near-death experience in a MVA at age 13 I’ve wanted to help people. Since then, I’ve naively wanted to help everyone and with my inquisitive mind I set on that journey. Along the way I continued to search why some people get better and some don’t. It was the realization that so many of the root of our issues stem from our emotional state.
As a coach, I teach and support you to live more consciously and consistently in your body, more present in the moment, which ultimately creates a space for better listening so you can follow the wisdom and guidance from the body so it can heal.
I specialize in teaching people to connect their mind & body by relaxing their nervous system to help them resolve chronic health issues, old wounds, traumas and triggers so they can feel more balanced, calm, happier and in better health.
“Medical intervention does not do the healing. It's a physical mechanism. The power of the healing is the power that grows your fingernails, the digesting of breakfast, that we had home, getting our heart beating… the whole spiritual or cosmic intelligence that does that. Further, God or the universe decided to make me unemployable, after two positions were eliminated. So I went through my valley of the shadow death, if you will.” In this episode, Christian and I discuss shifting from the glass is half-empty mindset to the glass is half-full mindset.

“I was off to a good start. I had two different jobs as an engineer and just after my second annual performance review in my second job where I got a very positive review, and a nice raise, a month later my boss calls me into his office and he says, ‘David, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you’re doing a great job. The bad news is you don’t have a job here anymore.’ And I was totally blindsided by this. ”David left corporate life and moved on to the non-profit sector for 23 years. Laban shares how he has a history of calling well-known, hard to access famous people and adding value. Laban Ditchburn Bio
A child badly affected by divorce and dysfunction, Laban sought validation and escapism in all the wrong places. But through self-discovery, not being afraid to ask for help and a ton of hard work, he conquered the full gamut of addictions—alcohol, sex, gambling, drugs, and negative self-talk. By understanding and then reverse-engineering the root cause of why he needed to escape, giving up his addictions was almost effortless. These days he gets his high from ultra-marathon running and searching the planet for the world’s best steak!
Today, he defines the word transformation. Reshaping his body by swapping sixty pounds of body fat with thirty pounds of muscle and bone, he discovered a simple cure for his “incurable” auto-immune disease in the process. Now physically, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally in charge of his own destiny, Laban’s journey continues to inspire those ready to change their lives. An exemplar and a revolutionary, he revels in unabashedly sharing what he’s learned: how to conquer the demons you don’t know you have, and how to be unstoppable in getting to where you want to be.
Laban’s debut and internationally acclaimed book “Bet on You” is a “can’t put down” must-read with its raw, real, hilarious, and inspiring message of hope. Known affectionately as The World’s Best Courage Coach, Laban shares his life with his smoking hot wife, the bravest person he knows, and the future mother of their children, Anna!
Clay’s very quick rise to growth and then very fast fall forced him to find his new way. Ready, fire, aim! had been his way to do things from a young age and his intense desire to make more and more money caused him to make bad decisions at a young age – it was never enough. Real estate helped him rise and also caused his demise. He started forcing things to happen and his lack of good decision making proved him capable but not competent. Clay lost it all just as fast as he made it. His wife asked him to leave and take his two daughters with him. He became a single parent and that was his defining moment. He was resilient, worked long hours and took care of his girls, and he realized he couldn’t do it by himself. He began to ask for help – from God.

He’s even been seen in fancy magazines like Inc. Magazine, Fast Company, The New York Times, and Forbes.
When your world comes crashing down on you with little warning, what do you do? The fear is too big to overcome. There is no light at the end of the tunnel. You have nothing to live for. Or do you? It turns out that getting results comes down to pushing past your comfort zone and limiting beliefs. By pushing his own boundaries, no matter what, his way out was through.

It once took 6 cans of Narcan to bring him back to life. Then came a weekend that changed his life. He attended an event with his sister. Then came the words his family had been waiting for years to hear… “I don’t want to do this anymore. I’m a shell of my true self.”
