Over quarter of a century on, South Africa’s 1996 iconic Afcon triumph remains the high point for Bafana Bafana. But the two-time Olympic champion’s first legal success after two failed appeals in sports’ highest court and the Swiss supreme-court came with a major caveat. Amid her bid to be allowed to run again without restriction and go for another gold at next year’s Olympics in Paris, today's judgment, while major, did not immediately result in the rules being dropped. Semenya has a medical condition known as hyperandrogenism, which is characterised by higher than usual levels of testosterone, a hormone that increases muscle mass, strength and haemoglobin, which affects endurance. Another day, another major news coming in from SAFA. Remember this man? I bet you do. SAFA President Danny Jordaan's former associate Russell Paul is said to be returning to the body as CEO in the country's bid to host the 2027 Fifa Women's World Cup. Now Paul, a former acting CEO at Safa, is expected to be announced as head of the country's bidding committee for the 2027 showpiece. You'll remember Paul left Safa in November 2019 to be part of the organisational team for the Qatar 2022 World Cup where he was believed to have been appointed as a tournament director. Something really despicable is alleged to have happen at TTM recently. A white coach spitting on a black player.

In 2023? Is it not rather disgusting, inhumane and unacceptable? Or is it not shocking to you? Is this a case of, in the moment emotion"? Or is it a racially motivated action?

We have come so far as the beautiful game of football and certainly as a country.

The big question I suppose is do we still have coaches, tangled from privilege and myopia, still refusing to see there is no difference in color? Do we? I'll let you deliberate on this.

I will challenge our coaches though today and say that the effort to combat racism in our leagues needs the best and most secure coaches to acknowledge the problem. It needs them to influence change. Inevitably, it means respected coaches must exit the dressing rooms and take a stand. They are not needed to be saviors or racial justice warriors but simply responsible stewards of a sport that has made phenomenal strides towards inclusion.

Let's get to the bottom of this disturbing allegations and how this respected gaffer got spitted off his role for spitting on a player. Mind you this coach has been around our touchline for a very long time. Coach Johnny Ferreira joins me tonight to take us through what happened

The Premier League is slowly but surely coming to a close and oh boy, what a season it's been. Extremely unpredictable and thrilling. This past weekend was no different and the seats got a bit too hot for some coaches.

Now two more gaffers lost their jobs over the past 48 hours, taking the season's top-flight tally to 12. Sacked Chelsea manager Graham Potter is the new favourite to replace sacked Brendan Rodgers at Leicester City.

Potter's sacking follows after a largely unimpressive reign, with the decision coming after the Blues were beaten 2-0 by Aston Villa on Saturday. Crazy how things went sour for Potter, who enjoyed a promising start to life at Chelsea by going nine games unbeaten after signing a five year deal a few months back. The former Brighton boss took charge of 31 games, during which he won 12 games, drew eight and suffered 11 defeats, leaving him with a win percentage of 39%.

City on the other hand confirmed the departure of Rodgers on Sunday afternoon, the Northern Irishman leaving by mutual consent following a 2-1 loss at Crystal Palace 24 hours earlier.

Now that result left City in the Premier League relegation zone and extended their winless run to six games whilst Chelsea's loss saw them slipping into the bottom half of the table. SowetanLIVE

Onthatile Zulu is without a shadow of doubt the golden girl of the South African national field hockey.

She recently became the first female Red Bull Athlete in South Africa.

Born and bred in Pretoria at the turn of the new millennium (2000), she started playing hockey at the tender age of six. In 2019, she enrolled at the University of Pretoria and a year later, she earned her first national team call up in a qualifying event for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Stellenbosch, of which she made the cut for.

Naglesmann's replacement by Thomas Tuchel at Bayern has paved the way for Spurs chairman Daniel Levy to try and court a manager he has admired for some time. The 35-year-old was on Levy's radar when they sacked Mauricio Pochettino and replaced him with Jose Mourinho in 2019. They also unsuccessfully attempted to replace Mourinho with the German in 2021, shortly before he joined Bayern.

John Moeti was indeed a rare breed. A cut above his peers as far as discipline is concerned. Humility personified.
I can go on and on and on because hey, this is a man who wore any jersey he donned with pride and diligence. Maruma Gallants have decided to place head coach Dan Dance Malesela on, wait for it, a special leave. This isn't the kind of leave you take at your work my friends, this one is special...

Suspended Marumo Gallants coach Dan "Dance" Malesela reckons the club's owner Abram Sello is close to traitorous people, implying his suspension was a sabotage job.

On Monday Marumo released a statement confirming Malesela had been placed on special leave amid the slump in form. The club roped in mentor Dylan Kerr as a consultant with assistant coach Raymond Mdaka filling in as interim head coach. Marumo are winless in their last eight league games with six defeats and two draws. Their last league victory was when they beat Cape Town City 2-1 last October.
