WELCOME BACK TO CHASING THE CHALLENGE! We're so excited to be back into a rhythm with the podcast. This week, we talked about the themes of our Challenge levels, what the strands entail, our hopes, expectations, goals, and fears.

Our verse this week was Colossians 3:13, "bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive."

This year is going to be great! Join us for the ride.

Spending time with God is something most Christians know we’re supposed to do to grow in our relationship with Him, but how exactly do we do that?

As a Christians, there are a lot of things that are hard to find. That goes from good music, wholesome TV shows, to appropriate swimsuits and shorts. We've made a list of great things to take advantage of this summer and throughout the year!

Here is a link to a Google Doc containing all that we talked about and listed, as well as some extras.

We are often told to use our time wisely. During the summer, we have a lot of it to spare. It can often fly by before we realize that it didn't incorporate much besides rest and fun. Both of those are good things, but they should not be the only purpose of summer.

On our first summer episode, we discussed what using our time wisely this summer means and how to honor God with our time.

We recommend you...

  • Spend Time with God
  • Serve Others
  • Exercise
  • Get Outside
  • Hone in on or Develop a Skill
  • Read at Least One Book

Guys, congratulations! We've made it to the end of our 2022-2023 school year. We pray that this podcast has blessed, encouraged, and helped you through this school year! Today, we discussed the Challenge Program. We talked about what it is, compared it with other co-ops, and broke down each of the strands.

We read through Philippians 3:7-14, and we talked about how much Christ is worth in comparison with earthly treasure and how to fight to see Him as such.

We quizzed each other on old CC memory work and had a surprising winner!

We hope your summer is going wondefully. We will be back on Friday, June 9th with an episode on stewarding summer and honoring the Lord with the use of our free time! See you then!

As we reach the finish line of the 2022-2023 school year, Nadia and Anna reflected on the past year. They discussed ways they've grown, ways they hope to grow next year, accomplishments, failures, and memories. We encourage our listeners to think on these questions themselves and maybe even jot down their own answers as we go into summer and are expectant of the 2023-2024 school year! The verse we discussed this week was Matthew 25:21, which says, “His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.” Stick around to hear Anna and Nadia's Top 10 Rainy Day activities as well as our summer schedule! Don't forget to send in questions or comments for our fifteenth episode. By the way, we're sorry that this episode is late; Anna got sick and wasn't able to record. We thought it'd be better just to push things back a week!

Hey, everybody! Welcome back to Chasing the Challenge. This week, Anna and Nadia discussed what, besides schoolwork, we should prioritize and how to do so. Some of the answers we came up with were Bible time, family time, sleep, exercise, and outdoor time.

Our verse this week was James 1:5, which says, "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him."

Which superhero did Anna and Nadia almost start a podcast about? Can they remember the quotes from all of his movies???

Welcome back to Chasing the Challenge! We hope everyone had an amazing spring break and is enjoying the Easter season.

This week, we brought three very special people onto the show. Meet Carolina, David, and Aaron, our three other siblings! We can't wait to talk about the joys and struggles of having siblings and being a big family. We discussed questions from "How do you handle an argument with a sibling?" to "Who has the stinkiest feet?" The answers may surprise you. They certainly surprised me.

IMPORTANT NOTE: We couldn't remember if we've shared this before, but Carolina and David were adopted just a year ago and at the time spoke only Spanish! Some of that will be discussed in the episode. Their English is coming along amazingly! As you listen consider that they've only been learning for a year!

This week Anna and Nadia interviewed each other and learned a lot about each other's learning style, workload, thoughts on class size, and more!

The verse we focused on was 2 Timothy 2:22, which says, "So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart."

Do you really know someone if you don't know their favorite color? Wait... who got excommunicated?

Next week is our spring break, so we'll be taking a break from podcasting, as well. NO NEW EPISODE FRIDAY, MARCH 24TH.

We're almost two-thirds of the way through the year. This week, we took time to reflect on our favorite parts of this year of Challenge, things we've learned, ways we've grown, and our biggest struggles.

The verse this week was Psalm 16:6, which says, "The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance."

Wait... Anna's worst nightmare involves a rocket and a blade of grass? She called Nadia a what?????

Spring break is March 20-24, and we will not be releasing an episode on Friday the 24th.

Wow! Can you guys believe we're past the halfway point of Semester 2? Crazy, right? Today on Chasing the Challenge we dove into the debate strand and talked about how to draw the world, memorize IE's, and prepare for Team Policy Debates.

The verse of discussion was 1 Peter 3:15, which says, “but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.” We also each shared five facts about the other person... it was a rollercoaster, and we apologize for any necessary ramblings.

Feel free to contact us with any questions, verses, or topic ideas for us to discuss. We are doing this for you all! Q&A box on Spotify, and voice message link below. Oh! And get excited for our Blooper Reel!

Welcome back to Chasing the Challenge! This week we take a dive into exposition, talk about the books we're reading, and Anna has a few rants about her new hero, Booker T. Washington!

The verse this week was Galatians 6:9, which says, "And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up." Our theme seems to revolve around hard work and not giving up!

Is "working your socks off" an expression? Can Anna remember anything from the Challenge A exposition books???

We appreciate any downloads, shares, listens, and ratings and reviews!

GIVE IT UP FOR OUR FIRST GUEST...

This week on Chasing the Challenge, our dear friend Abigail, a Challenge 4 student, joined us to answer a ton of questions about CC, Challenge, and homeschooling in general. She's been in CC for years and is about to graduate! We are so thankful for the time and wisdom she shared with us.

In Episode 6 we discussed Proverbs 4:23 which says, “Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.” Loved hearing Abigail's thoughts on that.

Please excuse the squeaking chair, occasional voices, and footsteps in the background!

Join us in Episode 5 for a talk about reasoning, a hilarious original skit, full of fallacies, performed between fits of giggles, and a game of 20 questions.

Our verse this week was Romans 8:1-2, which says, "There is therefore no more condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death."

Can Anna remember the European capitals? Who was right about the tally marks? Does Jimmy want to go to jail?????

BE SURE TO TUNE IN NEXT WEEK FOR AN INTERVIEW OF A BELOVED CHALLENGE 4 STUDENT! We can't wait to bring our friend Abigail onto the show next week; you're not going to want to miss it!

Episode four was quite an adventure... we took a deep dive into the research strand and 1 Corinthians 10:13, which says, "No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." We talked about how to take the offered escape, and discussed times we chose to do so.

Join us for lots of beautiful singing, a tally mark debate, and updates on our mandatory lessons in hair styling!

In Episode 3, Nadia and Anna talked through Week 3 and took a deep dive into Latin. Take a listen to hear their thoughts on why it's important to learn Latin and how to best study it. Even though... Latin is a dead language, dead as it can be! First it killed the Romans, and now it's killing me! Our verse this week was Psalm 8:3-4. "When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?" Is it legal to peel an orange in a Californian hotel? It is legal to look your fellow podcast host in the eye while recording??? Wait… how many dresses can one person wear? (By the way... Thanks for all your support, everyone!!! We can't believe the play numbers. Nadia and I are so thankful for our listeners! -Anna) --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/chasingthechallenge/message

Our verse this week was Proverbs 12:24, which says, "The hand of the diligent will rule, while the slothful will be put to forced labor." Will the girls decide on which podcast (besides their own, of course) is the best? What is Anna's favorite kids' show? Could it be a Disney Channel Soap Opera??? Does that even counts as a kids' show??--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/chasingthechallenge/message

The verse we focused on this week was 2 Chronicles 16:9a, which says, "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward him."
