In this episode, Destini, Lauren, and TJ breakdown their experiences with how the Church has often demonized and not promoted therapy and good mental health practices, rather favoring a Jesus/God only mentality rather than fostering a balance between physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health and modeling good practices for each. This one hits close to home as Destini and Lauren are both licensed therapists currently working in the field, and TJ is married to a licensed therapist and was the executive director of a statewide mental health advocacy nonprofit for several years in Tennessee.
