The NBA Conference Finals are underway, a number of teams have replaced their Head Coaches, and the 2021 CEBL season is underway!
It's a busy week of news! As we go into the final rounds of the playoffs, the Dallas Mavericks see some leadership changes and the OKC Thunder acquire Kemba Walker. The Suns will face off against the Clippers in the West and the Bucks wait to see whether they will face off against the Hawks or the Sixers.
The NBA Playoffs are into round two and there are a lot of interesting series underway. Milwaukee vs Brooklyn, Atlanta vs Philadelphia, the LA Clippers vs Utah, and Denver vs Phoenix.
The Phoenix Suns eliminate the LA Lakers to make it into the second round! The second round is underway in the East and games will be starting this week for the West.
The First Round of the Playoffs is underway, one series has been completed and a few more are looking to wrap up soon.
We still don't know if the Lakers are in the Playoffs or if they'll have to fight their way through the Play-In Tournament! Adam makes his predictions for the 2021 NBA Awards.
LeBron James doesn't like the idea of the Play-In Tournament and his team may have to take part if they can't make up a place before the end of the regular season, Russell Westbrook has tied Oscar Robertson for the most regular season triple-doubles, and Nate Bjorkgren is treading water as the Indiana Pacers underperform this season.
We're back after two weeks off! The NBA is fast approaching the end of the season and the much anticipated Play-In Tournament for the 7-10 seed teams to fight for the 7 and 8 seeds in the Playoffs. The Phoenix Suns have clinched a playoff position for the first time since 2010, Jayson Tatum matched Larry Bird's record season scoring record, and the Milwaukee Bucks offered free Pfizer COVID-19 vaccines to eligible attendees to their game on Sunday against the Nets.

A quiet week overall, but a few important games have had strong showings from the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers. In addition, the Brooklyn Nets seem to be strong where they're optimized but their lack of depth may be a problem. The Milwaukee Bucks' big three (Giannis, Jrue, and Middleton) are beginning to work together well; it'll be interesting to see how they perform going forward.

Brandon Ingram (New Orleans Pelicans) and Domantas Sabonis (Indiana Pacers) are named players of the week in the West and East respectively after the first week of the 2021 season. TJ Warren of the Indiana Pacers has suffered a stress fracture to his left foot and is expected to be away indefinitely.

New Orleans has hired Stan Van Gundy as their new Head Coach, Daryl Morey has signed on as the President of Basketball Operations for the Philadelphia 76ers, and Stephen Silas will be the new head coach of the Houston Rockets. As the NBA is planning to begin their new season on December 22nd with 72 games to be completed prior to the 2021 Olympics, the Toronto Raptors are looking for their home away from home.
The NBA (the League) and the NBPA (The Players' Association) are renegotiating the CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) which would be normal except that the pandemic has thrown the expectations for next season into the air. We should hear more soon.
Daryl Morey has stepped down as the General Manager of the Houston Rockets with the intention of spending more time with his family. He's really transformed basketball during his career so we wish him the best and hope that in better times he's able to return to the sport.
The LA Clippers have signed Ty Lue as their new head coach. We look forward to seeing if he is able to turn his talent at controlling the locker room into a successful team.
The Lakers take the victory in game 6 against the Heat. Lebron James takes the FMVP and the team as a whole performs fantastically. The Heat fought tooth and nail to get this far and they did very well, but they couldn't hold up against the might of the Lakers. Oh, and J R Smith called it in Fabruary.
The Los Angeles Lakers took the first two games in their championship series against the Miami Heat, but in Game Three the Heat were able to keep up and prevailed to make the series 2 to 1 for the Lakers. Will the Heat be able to overcome some injuries and rally for a comeback, underdog win or will the Lakers be able to get their momentum back and take this championship?
The LA Lakers beat the Denver Nuggets 4-1 and the Miami Heat finish off the Boston Celtics in 4-2. The Lakers will be hoping for another strong series again the Heat, but this may be their toughest matchup yet. Will Bam Adebayo be a match for Anthony Davis? It remains to be seen.
Both Conference Finals are in progress now. The Lakers are fresh and looking good against the Nuggets who have just fought for a game 7 victory. The Celtics are poised to make a comeback against the Heat with Hayward back in play after falling behind 2-1 with close losses in games 1 and 2.
The Eastern Conference finals are getting ready to start while the Western Conference Semifinals are looking to wrap up in a game seven finale.
