We like to do things completely different than everybody else. We like to go through the bible, one verse at a time, and just completely study what the bible is trying to teach us.
You've heard of the fruit of the Spirit, but have you heard of the fruit of repentance?
John the Baptist boldly preached repentance to anyone who would listen. He is quoted saying, "Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand." In other words, get your heart right now because the King is coming.
This message is still true for us today. We must all repent before King Jesus in order to be saved. Some people will, others will take offense, harden their heart, and turn away. What will you do? In this podcast, we thoroughly explain what true repentance is and give some practical examples of what the fruit of repentance could look like.
We hope you tune in and enjoy. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask us at diggingdeeper247@gmail.com.
Oct 31st is a big day for Christians - it's the day of Reformation!
About 500 years ago, Martin Luther famously nailed his "95 Theses" to the door of the Wittenberg church, protesting the unbiblical teaching and practices of Roman Catholicism. He, and many others, boldly took a stand against the dominating religious teachings of his day, calling on them to return to God's Word as the sole authority defining salvation, church function, and Chrisian living.
Today, we celebrate the existence of Protestantism and the freedom of Christianity from the corrupted grip of Roman Catholicism. But, the reforming is never complete. We must study the Word for ourselves and have the boldness and courage of the early reformers to stand against unbiblical church teachings and practices today; compelling them as well to return to the authority of Scripture in all matters of salvation, church operations, and Christian living.
In this episode, we answer the questions with a biblical worldview-Are witches real and is witchcraft real?
We've compiled most of the references and miscellaneous Scripture verses that mention Jezebel in order to analyze her character. In this podcast we discuss Jezebel as a leader / influencer and as a woman, as categorized in three main points:
She was a leader / influencer who used her position to lead others into sin, namely sexual sin.
She led others away from God and into idolatry, even as far as witchcraft.
She hates and persecutes those who work for the Lord and hold fast to His authority.
This is a 3-part miniseries in the midst of our Jezebel study. We hope you tune in and learn something new with us! If so, please leave us a comment and let us know! Please like, share, and subscribe, we appreciate all the support we get. You can reach us directly at diggingdeeper247@gmail.com.
(If you have watched this and have felt convicted in any way and want to make it right with God, we lead you through a prayer in part 2C, the third part of the miniseries, in which you can follow along and receive God's forgiveness once and for all! Alternatively, you may reach out to your local church / congregation for assistance, and if that's not possible, please send us a direct email!)
Our podcast today focuses on 1 Kings 16:29-32 the introduction of Jezebel in the Bible.
We talk about the "sins of Jeroboam" that Ahab took lightly & give the background of the Baal-worshipping Sidonians that Jezebel hails from.
This podcast begins our Biblical study on Jezebel, we encourage you to grab your Bible and study along with us!

We continue to discuss Jesus as Lord and Savior in this podcast!
"Our Lord and Savior - Jesus" That's a phrase we often hear, say, and pray. But how often do we actually think about it? What does it really mean for us when we call Jesus "Lord" and "Savior"? Lord of what? Saving us from what?
In this podcast we focus on Jesus as Savior.
What do we need to be saved from?
Why do I need to be saved?
How did Jesus save us?
Who can be saved?
Will everyone be saved?
I want to be saved, how can I do it?
We hope you tune in and enjoy!
Part 1 of this podcast was posted to YouTube on 3-16-23 and is entitled "IF YOU DO THIS, YOU MIGHT NOT BE SAVED... BUT THERE'S HOPE!" In this podcast we focus on Jesus as Lord.
What does it really mean to give Jesus lordship over our lives?
Is His lordship a requirement for our lives?
What if we disagree with Him?
How do we know what He wants us to do?
How do I practically live with Jesus as Lord?
What if I want to be lord of my life and not Jesus?

In today's podcast, we discuss some common reasons people offer to prove they are saved. Usually, when a person responds one of these ways it really indicates that she doesn't have a firm understanding of how salvation works. And unfortunately, if she doesn't understand how salvation works, can we really say that she is saved?
If there is one thing we want from this podcast ministry - it's for our listeners / viewers to get saved if they haven't already been. It's our hearts' desire to see women hear the gospel, repent of their sins, trust in Jesus for salvation, acknowledge Him as Lord, and be transformed into a new creation!
This is a 3-part series that will help you understand what salvation really means, what "Jesus as Lord and Savior" really means, and how to get saved if you are afraid that you haven't yet been.
We hope you enjoy this but most importantly that you understand the message. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out to us at diggingdeeper247@gmail.com.
And please like, share, and subscribe so this message can go out to many other people! Lastly, if you were impacted or even got saved from this (!) please leave a comment so we can celebrate and be encouraged by you!

In today's podcast we are rebutting Dr. David K Bernard's argument of the Bible's confirmation for women taking teaching and authoritative leadership positions in the church.
We discuss:
Deborah
Phoebe
Priscilla & Acquila
Junia
Tryphaena and Tryphosa
Philip's four prophesying daughters
Acts 2:17 "sons and daughters shall prophesy"
We compare Dr. Bernard's words side-by-side with Scripture and see some shocking word twisting, adding, and deleting of text.
Our goal here is to let the authority of Scripture provide clarity in this sensitive issue and guide women towards God's beautiful truth for their ordained design.

Divorcing the heart and mind while singing worship music is risky business, especially when there are music producers out there who sneak their false beliefs into people through tantalizing worship songs, thereby evading that pesky “intellectual barrier” of the mind. At least that’s what Bethel Church’s pastor Bill Johnson claims.
We continue to expose Bethel in this podcast today by focusing on two of their popular worship songs, “Come Out of That Grave (Resurrection Power)” and “It Is Well”.
It’s time Christians hold worship music lyrics to the same standard as the sermon; if it’s not Biblical, don’t be a part of it.

This podcast is part of a larger series focused on worship. Today, we share some truths about Bethel Church in Redding CA in an attempt to expose their false teachings. We find this necessary because, by their own admission, they use their worship music as a mechanism in our Christian churches to draw people to themselves and to their teachings. We use this information today as evidence for next week’s podcast in which we encourage Christians to stop listening to Bethel music, stop playing their music in worship services, and stop supporting them in any other way.

John 4:23 "true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth"
In today's podcast we begin a series about worship. We learn from the Bible that worshipping God is so much more than singing for 45 minutes on Sunday morning. In fact, we can be worshipping God in the seemingly small and insignificant things in our lives, if we do them all for the glory of God, according to the truth about God as revealed in Scripture.

We have a job as Christians: to make disciples. Part of that requires teaching them "all that Jesus has commanded". We discuss what that means in this podcast, including:
Who has the responsibility to teach new believers the basics of our faith?
Shouldn't Pastors do that?
What should a Pastor care about?
What if I don't feel prepared or able to teach anyone?
What if I don't want to, or can't because I'm too busy with anything else?
Can't I just take someone to church with me?
Can't I just share devotionals, sermons, or Christian-y books with people?

Our society has a distorted view of the character and work of Satan. And that's exactly what he wants.
When we don't know the truth about the enemy, we end up looking for him in all the wrong places. In reality, he's been right in front of our faces the whole time.
In this podcast, we go straight to the Bible to find out the facts about the beginning of Satan, his real goal, and how he accomplishes it.

We are wrapping up this series today with part 3! In this podcast we give an overview of the subject matter in Titus 2:1,3-5 and comment on these bullet points:
1. The text is addressing Christians
2. The text is only addressing the older women, therefore they are the ones with the responsibility of teaching the younger women.
3. While this text doesn't exactly hold the younger women accountable to seeking out wise counsel; there is this exact encouragement in other parts of Scripture.
4. Satan can use anyone, no matter how long they have been a Christian.

The Bible tells us that "all who desire to live godly lives in Christ Jesus will be persecuted" (2 Tim 3:12). Unfortunately, this isn't always the message we hear preached from pulpits today. The truth is that everyone who determines to hold fast to their faith will suffer in this life.
In this podcast we discuss types of temporary suffering we could experience and how to keep a Biblical perspective and persevere.

In this podcast we propose a New Year's Resolution for all Christians: to be effective for God's purposes. Did you know that all Christians share the general calling of "going and making disciples"? The truth is, we all have our own ministry; we're right in the middle of it. God has sovereignly brought us right to this place in our lives, surrounded by the very people we're surrounded by every day, to be used by Him for His purposes. How are we doing with our ministries so far?
Our prayer today is for all of us Christians to resolve to exercise self-discipline and diligence to show ourselves approved, prepared, and passionate for our callings.

It happens to all of us. In a moment of trying to encourage someone, we throw out a commonly-used phrase without much consideration. Unfortunately, some of these well-known phrases can be harmful if believed because their meanings are opposed to Biblical Truths. In this podcast, the phrases we discuss are: "we are all children of God", "God will never give you more than you can handle", "Heaven gained another angel", and "It's not in the cards for me".
Further studying for God's relationship to His children:

Finally, Peter addresses the men directly in his letter! In this podcast we continue on with our Bible study series through 1 Peter. We explain what Peter has to say to the men and how they should treat their wives. There is true beauty in God's original gender role design. Tune in and see for yourself!
You can reach out to us at diggingdeeper247@gmail.com if you have any questions!
We've been seeing many blogs online lately claiming that "gender roles" are not a Biblical concept. When addressing the marriage unit they tell us that wives and husbands are called to mutually submit to one another, and that both positions share equal responsibility in the leadership of the home. Is this really Biblical?
We talk about this today as we follow along with one article in particular.

We love when the Bible points to itself to provide examples and encouragement for us. In this podcast we are led to remember the life of Matriarch Sarah, and realize that her struggles of long ago are very familiar to us women today. Particularly when women choose to obey God by submitting to their husbands.
We also can’t pass up the underlying truth here: that the Word of God alone is authoritative in defining morality; what the Bible calls praiseworthy is praiseworthy, what the Bible calls worthy of condemnation is worthy of condemnation.

Submission to the Government
Today, our podcast crosses paths with a "taboo" topic: submission to government authorities. As much as we would like to skip pass this subject and just focus on the more heart-warming and less convicting parts of Scripture, we just can't do that. We can't pick and choose the parts of Scripture we want to study, understand, and obey.
Watch our video as we explore what the Bible actually says about government, including their God-ordained authority and purpose, and our civil obedience.

Peter continues his exhortation to Christians to pursue lives of quiet submission and peace, even when those in authoritative positions are unreasonable. In these verses, he narrows his focus specifically to wives in unequally yoked marriages.
Join us in this podcast as we discuss the beauty God’s originally designed role for women, the Fall of Eve that ushered in an unrelenting internal battle for women, and the secret to winning an unsaved husband to Christ.

ALL FOR YOU
Sometimes in our Christian walk, we forget or just “get used to” the basics of Christianity: that our salvation is not of ourselves, but a gift of God. We need to remember the mercy God first had on us, His possession He now has on us, and the work He has planned to do through us.
Our lives are all for His glory and the hope to come to those who are still lost. Join us as we talk about “seeing through the flesh” and focusing on the Truth.

ALIVE, BUILT UP, SET APART
In a few simple words, Peter portrays a special relationship Christians have with God through Jesus; we are set apart for special privileges simply by our position.
As is our passion, we dig deep this week searching for the true, powerful implications of Scripture on our lives. In this podcast we face questions such as: what exactly does “spiritually dead” mean? Who would be considered "spiritually dead"? Does God hear the prayers of unbelievers? Are we intentionally made to fill a role in the Kingdom of God? Why are we called part of a priesthood today?
Tune in and join us as we uncover some deep truths!

1 TIM 2:5
The Bible is very clear about the meekness and humility of Jesus, to empty Himself of His glory and willingly lay down His life for the sake of others. Peter tells us that was an example for us today. Do we willingly empty ourselves of our rights and lay down our strengths, all for conscience sake towards Jesus and to the benefit of others? Or do we find ourselves fighting for the worldly comforts and happiness that we want?
Join us today and keep in perspective the purpose of every Christian's life here on Earth.

SPIRITUAL SACRIFICES
With the special access to God and privileges we enjoy through our relationship with Jesus, we are expected to offer up “spiritual sacrifices”. In this podcast, we walk through some practical examples of what that could look like in our everyday lives.
Interestingly enough, however, not all sacrifices are accepted by God. God is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, and at least one thing is clear throughout the Bible: to obey is better than to sacrifice. To sacrifice without obedience is at best routine and at worst an abomination.

This is a tale of a solid stone. To some a corner stone which never disappoints; to others a stumbling stone which will eventually crush them.
In this podcast we dig deep into these metaphors (breaking our hearts in the process). Which stone is Jesus to you? How can you tell? Grab your hard hat, we’re going deep!

God the FATHER & God the JUDGE
It's important to remember that the God of the Bible is both a loving father and a righteous judge. We cannot separate these two titles of God in our Christian walk. Peter tells us in 1 Peter 1:17 that we ought to remember this, and in doing so "conduct ourselves in fear during our stay on the earth." How does information lead to biblical "fear"? By the way, what exactly is "biblical fear"?

In this episode we will be digging into Acts 17. The people from Thessalonica follow Paul causing trouble and starting riots. When Paul arrives at Athens, he finds they are worshiping many different Gods and Idols. This is where he finds the altar that reads The Unknown God. We also look into Hosea 4: 1B-3A and also Romans 1: 18-23.
