This podcast is about anything and everything that I decide to talk about. Sometimes it'll be goal setting, sometimes it'll be mindset, and other times it'll be random musings or things that piss me off.
Happy 2024. The first episode of 2024 is to let you know that I have finally discovered my process to actual happiness and I'm finally in a place where I think I can help other people with that without feeling imposter syndrome. HTTPS://meditationdummy.comIs a new project I've started where I want to hold classes virtually to teach people and introduction to meditation. If you have experience with meditation it'll still be beneficial for you because it can be a reminder or it might give you different insight on the meditative process for yourself.
I talked about the importance of taking a breather multiple times a day and actual gratitude. Not being grateful for what you think society wants you to be grateful for but being happy for the small things in your life and actually finding something to be grateful for even if it's "egotistical"
Over the last 12 months I've really been able to achieve quite a bit and finally find peace and be content with my life. In this episode I lay out some of the basic steps that have helped me START to figure things out. I hope it helps you begin the process.
One of the reasons I think I've done so well with weight watchers is because I've already tried to do so many things and needed a strong mindset to try and believe that I was going to succeed with those things. Now that I'm seeing results believing that the goal is possible.. it seems easy.
Why haven't you heard from me on this podcast for a while? I took a massive step back from everything in order to try and find what I really want to do and what excites me. I haven't found that yet but I'm working on it.
2-year anniversary of this podcast that is all. Thank you all to everybody that keeps listening
In this episode I discuss spotify's podcast wrap up in the stats that I had for this thing in 2022. And some other ideas I had for 2023.
Still trying to find a hobby, I've got a new motor coming for my car and I'm currently nursing a back injury but still doing great
I made a bunch of promises to myself a few years back and it appears this year was the year I broke most of them and it actually worked out better. The only promise that I made to myself was that I would meditate every day for at least 10 minutes and I've kept that up for 283 days so far. The rest of the promises breaking them to myself seem to work out better.. enjoy the episode and let me know what you think
I'm super grateful. I got roses from work and a cheesecake and a card. Things are going really well and I just wanted to talk. I hope you like it
In this episode I talk a little bit about wanting to be able to bottle up what I've been getting out of my meditation and give it to people but I'm unable to do that. So I reflect on a few things in this episode and encourage you to try something new just for the sake of trying it and see if that helps expand your mind in any way.
In this episode I talk about the dumb mistake I made with blood pressure pills. This was based on my arrogance I also share a fun story of how I helped a friend get a job, and I made a good impression on some co-workers.
This episode I just share my reflections on what I want for the future and I talk a little bit more about meditation as usual. Enjoy
In this episode I go on a bit of a rant about ambiguous schools and being vague and how our brain likes to use that to make us feel like we're not doing enough. I also talk about how beating yourself up doesn't do anything positive. Especially if you do something for Joy like eat a bad piece of food or stay up late and watch another episode on Netflix. If you beat yourself up for that behavior then you've not only lost the joy of the thing that you did but then you feel worse on the other end.
In this episode I talk about a little bit more on why I've realized I don't release consistent podcast episodes anymore. It's because I'm not really obligated by any other than you listeners ( who I love and greatly appreciate) to force recording this. Which allows me to record when I feel inspired to do so. I truly believe that this makes for better, more fulfilling episodes
In this episode I talk about the fact that everyone seems to lay out steps on how to change things. You have millions of ways to set goals and change certain aspects of your life. But that advice is always kind of vague in my opinion. How do you create new things and replace old habits? I give insight into what has worked for me lately. Keep in mind what works for me may not work for you but try it and then let me know.
This one's pretty self-explanatory. Listen and enjoy also, sorry not sorry lol for the length of the podcast episode.
In this episode I talk about me hitting 90 straight days of meditating. I also discovered the benefits of not telling people about your goals so I discussed those benefits in this episode. Enjoy!
In this episode I talk about entrepreneurship and that not everybody is built to be an entrepreneur some people are built to be an employee and the things that I've done in the past help me appreciate a good job where I am an employee. I am a cog and a wheel and I'm proud of it. I also talk about my relationship with my parents and having the realization that they were once my age with young kids trying to figure life out. It gives me an insane amount of empathy and gratitude for them and what they tried to do and what they did for me and my sisters.
More reflection on meditation, habits and general updates of things that I've got going on in life.
As you can tell I'm running out of good titles for my podcast episodes, hahaha. In this episode I talk about 62 days of meditation and what it's done for me as well as working through thoughts and different things to be a little easier on ourselves and have a little bit more fun.
In this episode, similar to the last one, I go a little deeper into past experiences and how they actually lead up to everything that I've gone through and they give me a greater appreciation for where I am. It's different than what most people would say because they talk about their past experiences and failures leading them to their current success. I'm going more granular than that I'm simply talking about my past experiences have you give me a greater appreciation for the job that I have. Going to work and being able to do my job well and getting a paycheck and then being able to come home and not do anything if I don't want to. Or how it is my responsibility to find a creative outlet and other things that I need to do to balance my life.
In this episode I talk about meditation, my new job and how I've started to understand my past experiences and skills and how I can apply them in the future. Also if you want to be a guest or you have any ideas on different things I could do on a podcast please let me know. steve@stevebertrand.ca
Just a quick little update and a thank you. I hope you enjoy. Also, let me know if you want to be a guest on the podcast or if you know of anybody that might be a good guess that I can get on here because I want to step that up as well.
This episode Josh and I cover a lot of things. And just to be extra clear as a disclaimer: we no longer endorse or promote any of the things talked about in this podcast these are simply things that we have done. Make sure you do your own due diligence and check with your own professionals whenever you do anything. Enjoy
Thanks for sticking with me. Happy 2022 to everyone. I invite anyone to email me at steve@stevebertrand.ca or find me on social media to suggest topics that I can talk about just to change things up a little bit. Also if you want to be on my podcast as a guest let me know. Or if you know someone that might be a good person to have on the podcast and have a chat with let me know and put me in touch and I can connect with that person.
Merry Christmas hope everyone has a happy next few days and I just get into the next few projects that I'm working on and some goals that I've had for the last week of ending each day on a win and I list those in this episode.
In this episode I chat a little bit about what's been happening with me and the direction I want to go for a future episodes and do some more documenting of the process. I'll be talking a little bit more about my crypto purchases and some different things of that nature.
In this episode I talk about just being excited to have the skills that I have because of this podcast and because of my YouTube channel and because of all those things and I mentioned a little bit about being burnt out still and not wanting to do things on the internet which I've talked about before.
In this episode I talk about finally being at peace with not being a internet celebrity and having monetary success with my side projects.
In this episode I talk a lot about where I've been in the last couple of weeks and what I've been going through and I stepped outside myself a little bit. I wanted to take a look at what advice I would give someone in my situation if I wasn't me. And I talk about breaking things down even further and stretching them out even longer and I go through that process. I talk a little bit about the future and the future of this podcast. If you want to be a guest on the podcast please email me: Steve@stevebertrand.ca or Steve@rollingmotivation.com
In this episode I talk about my 4 tips for moving forward through life and being happier. 1. I talked about the word "yet". 2. Trusting yourself and your intuition 3. Take a detailed report of what you can do better next time oh, and also what you did well so you can continue that on. 4. Quit beating yourself up and forgive yourself.
In this episode I simply talk about my constant need to be driven forward towards a goal. Whenever I don't do a lot I feel lazy and then I beat myself up for feeling lazy. Do you ever feel that way? Thanks for listening-Steve
In this episode of talk about needing to let go of the reigns and find people to help me promote this as well as the YouTube channel and some other projects because what I've been working on hasn't helped as much as I want it to and I want to see if I can take this all to the next level. Email me steve@stevebertrand.ca Thanks
In this episode I talked about the power of not using Tony Robbins LOL. Saving myself roughly 780 bucks. And the power of a paper notebook with a dollar store pen.
I just ramble about a bunch of stuff in this I don't really have a contact for it except for I talked a little bit about wanting to change the need to talk about stuff all the time. And the irony that says I'm posting on social and I have a podcast on the YouTube channel but I want to talk about stuff less LOL.
What's up kids! We hear this advice all the time Don't get your hopes up! In my opinion it's probably the dumbest advice you can give someone. Not getting your hopes up only makes you enjoy the process less, you're still going to end up being just as disappointed. Start getting your hopes up and expecting things to go well.
In this episode I talk about almost every morning I have to get up and talk myself out of whatever weird subconscious dream that I had and sometimes it throws my head for a loop. This morning was particularly annoying and I had to work pretty hard to get myself moving in comparison to some other days. I talk about this in context of my seven-year-old self not having to change my behavior to be happy for the day. I woke up happy at 7 years old and whatever happened, happened. My default at 7 years was happy.
In this episode I talk about some days I don't feel good and some days I don't care how I feel and other days I feel great and they're all okay. I also tell a story about almost getting hit by a minivan I was exciting lol. I hope you enjoy!
In this episode I give details about what's been going on and what I've noticed I've come up against. Which is me not being authentic to myself and not being accepting of who I am. And no I don't have steps on how to fix it yet but I'm trying. Thanks for the support and stay tuned. https://podpage.com/rolling-and-rambling-1 steve@stevebertrand.ca
In this episode I talk about a revelation that a friend help me come to. I talk about the value of making lists of your past accomplishments in order to renew your energy and what it's done for me.
In this episode I talk a little bit about being in the news today for promoting an accessible public access to a beach that the city has created.
In this episode I talk about a blow up over text that I had with a friend well I guess former friend now and things I could have done differently and how things happen for a reason and all that fun stuff.

In this episode I talk about advancements accessibility and society's limitations on self-awareness.
In this episode I talk about LeBron James trying to build a super team and how much I hate Bill Goldberg from WWE for ending Bret Hart's career.
This episode I talk a little bit about what's been going on for about the past 3 weeks. Here's a list of my guests on each episode they were in: Anthony sanna episode 9, Joe Girard episode 26, my dad Wayne Bertrand episode 29, Carl Mitchell episode 42, Tomas Hansen episode 43, Lisa Adams episode 44. Mike Ilott episode of 45, 67, 89 and 100. Erica Rantucci episode 52.
In this episode I go into a little more detail about being semi-retired and how it's helping me find happiness. Now I ask you the listener.. what makes you happy? Please do some self-discovery.
In this episode it's a progress update and I just talked about being semi-retired and the mentality behind that and how it's helping my happiness.
I do some serious reflecting in this episode which I seem to do in a lot of them. I don't have much to say in the description but I hope you enjoy the episode.
If you email me steve@stevebertrand.ca and give me a random topic I will do another table topics style of speech on my next podcast for you. Other than that on this episode I discuss changing my routine again and why I have to keep going back to this process and why it's important to remind myself of all the things I know how to do. Simply put your brain wants the easiest path and wants to protect you from pain and struggle.
In Toastmasters there's something called Table Topics. Toastmasters is an organization that helps people get over their fear of speaking and one of the things that you do at every meeting is something called table topics. Table topics is where the table topics master (the person who is assigned table topics for that meeting) fix a random series of subjects or they may assign you one when you decide to participate. The goal with table topics is for you to create a little mini speech on the fly. I gave a little taste of that, let's see if I still got it. You be the judge, thanks.
In this episode I talk about my communication styles and my crutch words. I also talk about the importance of sharpening my skills during the pandemic. I think I'm going to be a better communicator when I get back into the real world and everything returns back to "normal."
In this episode I talk a little bit about boundaries and struggling with the acceptance that I can't do as much as an able-bodied individual and that it's okay to have bad days. My bad days are sometimes issues with function or mobility and that comes with a territory of being a person with a disability.
In this episode I talk about the NBA and air conditioners. After that I get into the depths of how I've been feeling and I come up with a bunch of other random things to talk about while I pour myself a cup of tea. I hope you enjoy it.
In this episode I talk about...does adversely actually create strength? I send an Instagram DM to Steven Seagal and I discuss a few different ramblings about my discovery since episode 100 and why it took me so long to get to that level. Also beware that out about the 5-minute marker this podcast I dropped my phone onto the ground so if you hear a noise that's what that is there you go.
In this episode Mike and I just talked about the past year and a bunch of random stuff I hope you enjoy it and now that I'm over this hurdle I look forward to 100 more.
In this episode of talk about my car, Aikido and Tony Robbins event unleash the power within and why will not take it again anytime soon. Why still think it's great for someone that hasn't taken it but taking it too often and for no real reason is not good.
In this episode I talk about a few Revelations. Which is not unlike a lot of other episodes but I discussed my struggles with pivoting two different topics other than self-help.
In this episode I talk about hindsight being 20/20 which I think I've mentioned before and the price of Internet Fame and the consequences that someone has to pay look like they are too high for me.
What is the future of the podcast? What do I want to keep talking about? In this episode I talk about all that stuff and I also respond to the thoughts in my own head and other people about the process I had in building the things that I've built, ie https://rollingmotivation.com, https://coolvehicles.ca, and https://wehatestairs.com
In this episode I just given update on where I was the last couple days and I talk very quickly about consistency and also taking care of yourself, knowing when you need to take a break.
In this episode I talk about a couple of videos that I just watched recently and it made me check my screen time and screen usage on my phone. Wow! I can't believe I use my phone that much. It's scary!
In this episode it's pretty obvious I ramble about a lot of things but I simply want to be your inspiration to start whatever project you're thinking about starting and having doubts.
I recall where I picked up the phrase isn't it interesting and why I use it so much. I also talked about another skill set that I've discovered and how previous experiences and people's beliefs of me shaped thoughts of my own skills.
In this episode I talk about the goal of owning property. I've mentioned this go before and I have my own justifications but I got a point where I wanted so bad that I don't have to justify to anybody else. I've noticed that everything I've been doing is pulling me closer and closer to that goal and that happened without me knowing or really being aware. This may sound like old news but it's the first time I've really believed it for myself and not just read it in a book.
In this episode Mike and I just talk about whatever we want to talk about. I hope you enjoy it.
In this episode I discussed being proud of the things you take for granted. What I mean by that is, you should be proud of the fact that you're up every day at a job, taking care of the kids and exercising. You should be proud of the fact that you're going back to school for retraining. Or you could be one of the people that has been working through this whole thing and helping the world continue on. Sometimes we take for granted the contribution we make in the world and I'm encouraging you to be proud of whatever you do even if it's small.
In this episode I progressed through the thought that I have no idea what I'm doing with life to how I have molded the last few months in a specific direction. I also mentioned the five love languages by Gary Chapman it's a great book. I also discuss my thoughts on how I progress to the point that I'm at in life.
In this episode I talk about being complemented by a friend and not knowing how to take that and being uncomfortable with someone mentioning my accomplishments.
Today I go on a little bit of a rant about Drag racing and how it helped me understand things like Dungeons and Dragons Magic Cards, World of Warcraft.
Holy macanoli, I was all over the place recording this episode but I decided to keep it as an example to everyone that hasn't started that thing they want to start. I think people have this idea that I always have it together and I'm such a great speaker and I really am good but I'm not great all the time. If I was great all the time I would be a robot. Sometimes you just have to power through and do the thing that you want to do.
I reflect on the importance of keeping promises to myself/yourself and I talk a little bit about my new chair and my feet swelling.
Pretty self-explanatory topic. I tell story about how I knew better when I did a few things and it bit me in the ass and just reinforces why I need to not take other people's opinion in certain situations.
In this episode I talk about a video that I saw that claimed that men are taught in society that if they quit their failure. I think that resonates for me a lot. That's why in this episode I talk about reframing failure and reframing your definition of what success is. I hope you enjoy it.
Enjoy the episode I don't really have much of a description I just tell a few funny stories and yeah enjoy.
In this episode I discuss another social media hiatus. Finishing my book. Also mapping all of my actions towards my North Star which is owning a house
Today I talk about a book that I started writing. I would almost call it the third or fourth version of the book that I've been trying to write for the last 10 years. I believe that all of my listeners to this podcast and having 78 episodes of a podcast have led me to a point to become a better writer. The other thing that I mentioned is someone reached out on my YouTube channel and I emailed him and what he told me blew my mind. It completely shifted my perspective and gave me an insane amount of gratitude.
In this episode I talk about the power of forcing yourself to do things that you know you have to do even if you don't want to. You'll end up feeling a better about yourself and I find it increases my confidence.
In this episode I talk about my evolution of goal setting and why I don't think it works the way that I was doing it before. I talk about what I think is missing as well as just sort of rambling through thought. I hope you enjoy it.
In this episode I talk a little bit about the podcasts that I like to listen to. Now I listen to them for different reasons. I still listen to them for educational or entertainment value but I also listen to them for production quality and how they put together a podcast.
In this episode I talk about new routine I'm on and how for the last six days four of them have gone really well the last two haven't gone as well and I wanted to beat myself up. But my success rate is still really good four out of the six days I did well. But I wanted to focus on the negative instead of the positive. So I go into that a little bit and talk about how that can translate into everything we do.
This episode I tell the story of a young guy that I met who has three jobs and is putting himself through school and he wants to be in management at some point. I reflect on my own excuses and my own beliefs around succeeding and having things.
In this episode I talk about all the experiences in the past that I thought were a waste of time in terms of my disability have led me to a lot of good things. I also challenge you to think about the way you see certain things and certain people. Let me know what you come up with I'd love to hear from you steve@stevebertrand.ca
In this episode I talk a little bit about how our actions in the past create things in the future. Now I make the point and say not every single thing that happens to us is based on a previous action I don't believe we have that much power but there is definitely a good chunk of things that happen to us based on what we do in the past. Thank you so much for all your support and I really appreciate everybody that listens to this podcast
In this episode I talk about what it's been like to go to bed at a decent time sleep more than I needed to and get up at a decent hour. I also wore a suit today and ate at regular intervals and I feel fantastic. Also not to mention the amount of water that I drink is a lot more than usual and I've done some exercise. I popped on social media for a few minutes to check a couple things and realize very quickly that I didn't need to do that.
In this episode I talk about what we focus on we tend to reinforce. I'm not sure if the quote is energy flows where attention goes or energy flows where attention goes. It's one of the two either way it makes sense what you focus on is what you get more of. You're going to put your energy into things that you have your attention on.
In this episode I talk about the addiction that I had to social media the fact that I'm still on tiktok but I took a break from instagram, facebook, Snapchat and I thought that was fine but it turns out eventually Tik Tok will get you too. I went down the rabbit hole with her guys post on tiktok about women only want to date a man that can support them financially. I just don't believe that's true and I go into that in a bit of detail and it's my own opinion take it or leave it. Enjoy the episode
In this episode Mike and I talk about anything and everything again and how we didn't plan this but he was on episode 45 and 67. So now he needs to be on episode 89 and 100 so it's 4,5,8,9 and 10 🤘
In this episode I talk a little bit more about internet gurus getting busted. Arguments I have with people over social media. Even some conversations that are not meant to be arguments that turn into negative things and sometimes the best course of action is just not to engage at all.
In this episode I talk about a lot of stuff everything from work to my CPAP machine to old relationships and a bunch of other stuff enjoy. also don't forget to email me at Steve@stevebertrand.ca if you want to have me answer any questions or if you want to be on the podcast.
I woke up feeling pretty messy today. My brain was telling me that everything's crap and you shouldn't talk to anyone because you need some time alone. I quickly realized that was my brain just trying to punish me and keep me in a poor state of mind. Well I forced myself to watch a couple videos and record this podcast and now I feel better. Always remember that your brain is trying to keep you in a crappy place, don't let it win.
In this episode I go on a bit of a rant about the fake it till you make a culture and everyone being fake on the internet I talked quite a bit about Jim Rohn and Zig Ziglar and I hope we give you guys some insight into the power of being patient and having a plan.
in this episode I talk about cleaning my apartment and taking the garbage out and the ordeal that that is but it feels good. I also talk about doing nice things for other people is not always seen the way that I see it. I also contemplate what I want to do with the rest of my life and I talk about a job that I applied for but I am really really affirming to the universe that I will get because it would be nice to have something steady and leave it at work and just come home at the end of the day. Even if that's metaphorically all the pandemic is happening.
In this episode I talk about moldy bread the noise from my neighbors and few other things
In this episode I express my gratitude and small amount of astonishment that I have gotten to 60 episodes and the majority of this episode is just me rambling about the roll up the rim to win contest and the fact that it started in 1986 and I had no idea.
In this episode I talk about the new book I'm listening to which is called Mindset by Carol Dweck. It's one of the first books in a long time that I've listened to /read that really made me rethink who I am as an individual in a good way.
In this episode I talk about the importance of reaching out to people you haven't talked to in a long time. I've been going through some stuff and I have some friends check on me and it felt really good to not have to initiate contact with them. And it's not that my friends were neglectful it's just most people wait until I reach out to them because I talk so much. But it was nice to have somebody check on me and you should do that with your loved ones especially people you haven't talked to in a long long time. you know who they are when I mention people that you haven't talked to in a long time you thought of at least two people so call or email them don't text make it personal and see how they're doing.
In this episode I talk about what I'm going to spend $150 on for the $40 to $1,000 challenge. I also talk about blood pressure and growing sprouts in my window. I hope you find this episode informative. Check out other episodes at https://podpage.com/rolling-and-rambling-1 if you have any questions or you need help with WordPress support or email support email steve@stevebertrand.ca
In this episode I talk about the dip in people listening to my podcast and talking about breaking through the noise. This episode is definitely more rambly than some of the others I hope you enjoy it.
In this episode I give an update on the challenge I said for myself in January which is to start with $40 and turn that into ,$1,000. It's been a little bit but I'm sitting in that positive about 150 bucks. I also talk a little bit about the network marketing company I'm involved in and some different things I have been thinking about.
In this episode I talked about people rushing through life and I give a few examples of times when I didn't enjoy the present moment and a result of that. As well as hindsight being 20-20. I did give some basic information about the RDSP which you can find on canada.ca website. Quick disclaimer! I'm not a financial advisor I do not take any responsibility for you or anyone else making financial decisions. Make sure you do your due diligence and contact a professional before you make any choices. Lastly I'm aware that I didn't give any specific information in this podcast, but I am just covering my butt.
In this episode I talk about the power of not sharing so much information, holding my cards closer to the chest and how that helps with my social media diet.
Erica rantucci is a friend of mine who is constantly challenging herself with fitness and goal setting and she's competed in bodybuilding competitions in the figure category. We talked about how she stays motivated and meeting Arnold Schwarzenegger and others.
In this episode I give a quick little recap of something that I seem to keep messing up and there are a lot of things that I do like that but I can't seem to get a hold of no matter how many lists I make or how much I try.
In this episode I share some life lessons that my parents have taught me. I honor them because February 27th is their anniversary 41 years together 33 years married however you slice that pie it's a long time and they're wonderful people. I love you both. Enjoy the episode.
In this episode I follow up on my feeling of being lost that I talked about in the previous episode. I talk about being more conscious about my thoughts. As well as doing my best to only stay in a grumpy or negative state for no more than 10 minutes. It's easy to spiral if you allow yourself to.
In this episode I discuss the career exploration test. Everything that that test has told me I would be good at I physically can't do. I love cars I like building things with my hands I have a brain for that kind of stuff but I can't do it physically. So what do I do now? Listen to the episode to find out!
In this episode I chat about arguing with people ends up just being a loop, a circle of drama. Just learn when it's best to turn the other cheek or leave the situation. A lot of times arguing with someone isn't going to get the solution you want. Most times when people are ready to argue they simply want to keep arguing they don't want to come to a solution and find peace.
In this episode I talk about the injury I had last week. As well as falling off the curb in the wheelchair and having a police officer help me while my pants fell down lol. As well as trying to be internally okay with not doing as much. If you have any questions or comments please email me steve@stevebertrand.ca or go to the website and leave a voice message https://www.podpage.com/rolling-and-rambling-1/
In this episode Mike and I discuss everything from my disability, his lifelong vigilance of type 1 diabetes and we share stories and anecdotes along the way. https://www.twitch.tv/dorktales/videos https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCynCyi2wO_zRrffrWTiNxXw http://gfxsigns.com

Empowering one person at a time.
In this episode my friend Tomas Hansen stops by and we chat about all of his projects and what it's like to try and do something for likes or being famous on the internet, compared to being genuine and having fun. Here are all the links where you can find Tomas' content: https://www.instagram.com/hansenssportscards https://www.youtube.com/c/HansensSportsCards https://twitter.com/HansensSCBreaks https://ebay.ca/usr/hansens-hall-of-fame-sports-card-store
In this episode my friend Carl Mitchell stops by and we just talk about a bunch of random things and what it's like to be living in the pandemic and also how people need to not be so reactionary and just be nice. This is a fun one there is some bad language but enjoy
In this episode I talk about the show undercover billionaire and how they attempt to build a business from nothing to a million dollars in valuation in just 90 days and I struggle to find how to make a few extra bucks here and there. I speak again on trying to find that thing that gets me excited to get up in the morning.
In this episode I talk about being stranded on the side of the road and people stopping to check on me. I also talk about a few times when young kids at the full serve gas station helped me out even though they're falser pumps were closed or it was close to closing time. Please remember to acknowledge nice things that people do and help bring us back together as a community.
In this episode I simply want to say thank you. Thank you for taking the time to listen to me and take time out of your day to fit me in. Thank you here's the link to lebert fitness that I mentioned. https://lebertfitness.com/?ref=RollingMotivation
So many people are having so much trouble nowadays. The thing that I'm noticing the most is that a lot of misplaced anger and sadness and upset is happening. Somebody freaks out at you or me and it actually is unrelated to whatever you did. That's okay. Be honest with people on how you're feeling and they'll respect that and it'll work out better. I also wanted to thank everyone that has been listening to this podcast. According to the analytics I have listeners in Canada, USA, United Kingdom, New Zealand, Nigeria, spain, and Romania thank you so much. And also remember that you're not alone.
It is episode I talk about it being okay that you're lost. It's okay not to know what to do it's okay not to set a goal and to drive in direction that you're not sure about it's okay. I am so happy that I have this podcast because it gives me something to look forward to on a daily basis and now that it's growing and people from other countries are listening I just feel like I have something new to look forward to and to be happy about. I hope through this process that maybe I help you find something for you that doesn't the same thing.
In this episode I talk about being restricted in life as a person was cerebral palsy and being a wheelchair. I also talk about the crime spree of a drug addict in Victoria. And lastly my love for 90s martial arts ass kicking movies comes up again. Enjoy!! https://www.podpage.com/rolling-and-rambling-1/ steve@stevebertrand.ca
In this episode I talk about overthinking and how it stopped me from doing things in the past. However, when I did a good deed today I returned someone's phone that they had lost outside my parents house. I drove it to them and it felt great I didn't hesitate at all and it was because I was doing the right thing. Interesting revelation overthinking tends to happen when you doubt yourself or you doubt whatever you're doing.
In this episode I talk about things being heavy and having so much meaning as well as Aikido techniques and the ability to let things go. leave me a message about things you want to talk about on the podcast or if you just want to leave a comment https://www.podpage.com/rolling-and-rambling-1/ Or steve@stevebertrand.ca
In this episode I ramble about social media and the fact that it makes me feel s*. I mention the fact that I'm leaning away from social media more and more to help my own mental health. I appreciate every single one of my listeners and thank you so much. I'll always respond to your messages and texts. You can still reach me on social media I'm just going to be spending less time scrolling aimlessly through people's feeds and commenting on everything.
In this episode I talk about a friend of mine telling me that I haven't achieved the level of success I'm looking for on all my previous projects because I haven't stuck with it long enough. Why do people find it appropriate to offer unsolicited advice. I've changed my focus I don't want to monetize everything and make it about money as the only driver for success. How can I help you? This is a question I have and I'm legitimately asking is there anything I can help you with? Also do you have any suggestions on what fun things I might want to try to expand my horizons and learn a new skill and maybe pick up a new hobby
In this episode I talk about why I like Aikido so much. Why I like traditional martial arts and the things that I enjoy about Aikido and the traditions. and then I go through a little breathing exercise near the end of this episode to help you focus on energy and feeling different things in the body.https://www.podpage.com/rolling-and-rambling-1/
In this episode I reflect on the fact that I made it to 30 episodes and a bit about what I learned in the last while and I talk about leaving Legacy and all of that stuff it's more of another rambly episode but I hope you enjoy it, so you can check out the web page dedicated to this podcast and you can even leave me a voice message on there if you want to talk about anything or leave me a question or comment. Thank you so much for your support and of course there will be more episodes. https://www.podpage.com/rolling-and-rambling-1/
On this episode my dad stops by and we talk about hot rods and I have them tell a few stories over a couple rum and cokes. This is a fun one for me. Enjoy!
In this episode I discuss some childhood memories. Some from WWE / WWF and then of course having my own wrestling matches with a friend and getting buried alive on a beach 😉. I hope you enjoy this share your stories with me. steve@stevebertrand.ca
In this episode I touch on the fact that I had a really really crappy day. I talk about changing my focus with regards to success and what I value. If you have any questions or comments please email me steve@stevebertrand.ca
Today on the podcast my Buddy Joe Girard stops by. We talk about why most people fail at sales, some things people can do to improve their relationships and communication. We also cover the one main thing that people miss when they're selling and it's why most people fail. You can check out Joe at https://joegirard.ca/ https://salesheroacademy.com/ and https://changegrowachieve.com/
In this episode I talk about why I think my podcast is boring sometimes. I also talk about why I think other podcasts work, the guests that I want to have on and not forcing myself to do something when I'm not in the right mindset. I think there's a difference between perseverance and pushing through and just simply not putting out a good product at your best.
I had no idea what to call this episode today because I really rambled about it quite a few things. But the 40 to 1000 challenge. Has already started my brain working in a different way and things are starting to happen people are asking me to do a little more work for them on the side and I just find it funny that it's working out that way. It's important to stay in that flow State and just try not to get sidetracked. And if I do get derailed to not beat myself up.
In this episode I talk about my $40 challenge to get myself to $1,000 so that I can use it to hopefully publish my book that I'm writing and whatever else I need. And I talk about why this stuff is important to me.
In this episode I talk about actually wanting to you take a few more risks and try and build something on the side. Using fiverr I'm going to pay somebody to promote this podcast after I get it onto Apple podcast as well. I will just see where it takes me. Hopefully it will inspire me to try other things and get other creative ideas to add to my seed money of $40 that I decided to start with.
In this episode I talk about my mishap with popcorn and a small fire. and my wonderful friends that are there for me and support me but make fun of me as well.also thank you to my mother and sister for coming to the rescue the next day and helping me clean up my kitchen. Find RollingMotivation on Instagram to see a picture of the popcorn craziness. And don't forget you can email me at Steve@stevebertrand.ca if you have any questions or comments about the episodes.
In this episode I talk about a funny spam email that I got. I asked anybody that had any questions or wanted me to talk about something on the podcast to email me at Steve@stevebertrand.ca
Today I rant about fast food portion sizes and napkins. What are some things that bother you that have changed since you were younger or in the last few years? Also if you have any thoughts or questions or want me to answer anything on the podcast email me steve@stevebertrand.ca
Tensions are high these days and there's often so much focus on moving forward that we don't talk about the fact that you'll move back if you don't keep trying to move forward. In this episode I mentioned what it's like to be able to put my pants on in the morning and how something that's easily frustrating can ruin your whole day.
In this episode I talk about why I have a poor sleep routine. And why I have a lot of trouble breaking the pattern. I talk about my struggles with sleep because of hypertension and sleep apnea that are now corrected but the bad habits are still there. And I discuss the ability to change the habits and why I believe I self-sabotage as a form of control in my life.
In this episode I talk about expectations. Both our own and the expectations of others. And I find it interesting that if we expect good things for ourselves and put that out into the world we're somehow delusional or arrogant. But yet if we do something nice for somebody and they don't reciprocated in the same way sort of your opinion of that person or your view that they didn't give whatever it was back to you is messed up. What I mean by that is if you give somebody a well wish and you expect it back from them is it really a selfless act? And another thought on that is what if the individual that you're giving that to doesn't have the capacity at the moment to reciprocate in the same way. If you change your expectations you'll change your happiness
Today I talk about getting inundated with information. And people seemingly telling everyone else how to live their life. Worse still if you don't do things the way other people want you to do them then you're wrong somehow!
I feel like I'm the king getting mad at stuff. Lots of stuff fires me up in a negative way. I think that's why I gravitate to the self-help / self-improvement stuff. It's really easy to get upset these days. I mean all you have to do is scroll through social media and you know two days after everyone had the Christmas spirit. More negative stuff coming down the pipe talking about something that's happening in the News that's negative. A neighbor pisses you off, you have an argument with your family or whatever else. It's so easy to get upset so easy to get mad at stuff. But it is dumb!
In this episode I talk about the Houston Rockets James Harden apparently getting a video taken of him at a strip club and violating covid protocols for the NBA. I talk a little bit about my sports history and what I like and dislike about the current game of the NBA. I also take a moment to take a shot at the person who actually took the video of James Harden in the first place.
When we're younger we just do whatever we want to do and we don't have the limitations that society or our environment puts upon us. What's something that you wanted to do for a long time and you just haven't done it? What would your 7-year-old version of yourself do? My guess is they would just go and do the thing they wanted to do. So do that!
Thank you for sticking with me past the vaunted "10 Episode podcast curse". There are some things I want to change about my behavior. Not that I want to change anything about my core person but there are things that I do on a daily basis I want to get better at or change. So I was inspired because I'm a huge WWE wrestling fan and I thought about the fact that they play characters either good guys or bad guys. Men and women switch back and forth between heel personas and face personas. So over the next 7 days I'm going to play a character that has the qualities that I want and the changes in behavior that I feel I need. Will you take the challenge with me? Is there anything that you want to change? Cheers
What do I mean when I talk about decreasing your barrier to entry. I mean if something seems too difficult we might not even get started. For example if you make a commitment to working out everyday for a half an hour that may be too much and you might not get started because you don't know where you're going to find your half an hour from. But if you can make a commitment to work out a half an hour every second day that may be more attainable. Or maybe it's 10 minutes a day. And you might say well 10 minutes a day isn't going to give me very much but it's going to give you more than not doing anything. And also be intentional have a target. It might just be to work out 10 minutes a day for 30 days and then see where you are at that point see what kind of improvement you've made. My goal with this podcast is the next time I have a guest like I did yesterday instead of it being an hour and a half I want to be able to bring value to you in 20 minutes. So my goal is to improve my podcasting skills and the direction of each episode, to make me better. I want to have the skill set that allows me to extract value from an individual in 20 minutes instead of an hour and a half.
Okay well he didn't really stop by. He lives in Nelson so we recorded the podcast with me and Victoria and him and Nelson. He's one of my best friends and online marketing smarty pants and a connoisseur of podcasts and communication. So we shoot the breeze and we talk about a whole bunch of different topics. A little about self-improvement, a little about podcasts and a lot about friendship and mentorship.
Last night I ended up having a crazy stomach ache and as a result I had to use the bathroom quite a bit. Usually my counter to that is to drink a bunch of water and it worked. I felt better quite quickly but as a result I didn't sleep very well I was at multiple times in the middle of the night to pee. And for someone with Cerebral Palsy and limited movement that could be very difficult and so I go into that sort of series of events in this episode.
Today I talk about electric cars being toted as the savior of our planet and a replacement for gas powered vehicles. While I agree they're going to help a lot I talk about the thing that needs to change the most. Our consumerism and the fact that we buy a new car every two years has a lot more negative impact on the planet than what we drive.
I didn't want to get out of bed today and do a podcast episode. But I did one and I'm happy that I did. I recognized that the commitment I made to myself could you daily episodes for at least 30 days was super important to me. I knew even though I didn't want to that I had to record this today. I would regret it tomorrow and probably for a lot longer than that if I didn't. Once I started moving and getting things going and once I hit the record button I started to feel better and I'm glad that I recorded this .
In this episode I talk about New year's resolutions and goal setting. I discuss why they typically don't work for me. I also discuss how to keep momentum whether it's New year's resolution goals or just regular goals. How motivation isn't always enough and there's some tips in this episode on how to help with long-term success.
In this episode I talk about being okay with who you are. Also understanding that not every person is going to like you and even if they do like you they're not going to be able to meet you at the same level that you meet them. What I mean by that is they're not going to always give and receive love in the same way that you do or give and receive friendship in the same way that you do and you have to be okay with figuring out the balance.
For many years I've been on the side of Ebenezer Scrooge and the Grinch. it's not that I didn't enjoy Christmas and getting gifts and buying gifts for people but I always felt stressed out by Christmas. The parties the obligation the annoying conversations when you didn't want to go to somebody's party. The people that love Christmas way too much and just wanted everybody to be involved in Christmas. Since the pandemic I've changed my view a little bit and I can see why a lot of people like Christmas and it's made me enjoy it a little bit more. I will enjoy it this year. And I also reflect on, how this represents life and not going to extremes. You don't need to hate Christmas and you definitely don't need to be a Christmas nut Job you can be somewhere in the middle. Just like life you don't need to work 18 hours a day and have a bunch of stuff. In turn you don't need to sit at home and do nothing because you don't want to work for the man . There's some definite benefits to having goals and having something to get up and get to.
In this episode I talk about accessibility advocacy. If you're someone that doesn't have a disability you can make a bigger impact on making society more accessible for people with disabilities. Also I have a mini challenge for able-bodied people over the next few days or a week . Thanks for tuning in.
In this episode I talk about getting started right away. Self-sabotage and why I finally started this podcast.
