Bio:
- Justin currently teaches physical education and health, in Central NJ. He previously taught in Springfield, Mercer County Special Services and Lambertville Public School. He is the brains behind #slowchatpe and slowchatpe.com. He is also the co-creator of voxerpe.com, nlpc.us, and the Voxer physical education chat which has 500 physical education teachers from all over the world. Justin is also the technology director for the NJ AHPERD which is the NJ state organization for Health, Physical Education, Recreation, Dance, and Drivers Education programs. Justin provides professional development to school districts across the nation as well keynoting conferences. In his spare time, he helps organize EdCamps, attends conferences, and raising his family.

Dr. Nicolette James is a master educator, coach, trainer, and entrepreneur. She serves as an administrator and full-time instructor at a suburban secondary high school and is an adjunct professor at several local colleges. Nicollete is a staunch wellness advocate and empowerment coach. Her passion lies in the areas of self-care, self-development, and social-emotional practices for teaching, leading, and learning. She coaches and mentors educators and students in pursuing their professional and academic aspirations while cultivating and maintaining holistic health lives. Nicolette is the founder of NPowered Education and Life Design and Intentional Educators, small businesses designed to support doers and difference-makers in teaching, learning,and living the best practices of mindset, mindfulness, and reflection for personal, academic, and professional success. Nicollette earned her doctorate from St. Johns’ University and holds several post-graduate and professional degrees in various areas.

Lorena Germán is an ELA teacher, teacher-leader, curriculum designer, author, and speaker. She is an advocate for culturally sustaining pedagogy anti-racist education. Derek has over 20 years experience as a middle school principal, assistant principal and middle school math teacher. He is passionate about serving others and helping teachers and teacher teams change their practices, beliefs, and skills to meet the needs of schools and school communities. In 2014, Derek was recognized as a National Digital Principal of the Year. And, in 2018 he was asked to join a panel of experts on Capital Hill to discuss how to rethink middle school education with lawmakers and address critical needs.
Derek is also the co-author of the book: The Revolution: It’s Time to Empower Change in Our Schools.
