Welcome to "Project Life" the podcast that is focused around well-being, motivation, and affirmations. I plan on sharing stories through my own personal journey in finding my peace, vulnerability, and becoming a more multi-dimensional human being. Each episode I will share stories about myself, my experiences through therapy, and what advise I can share with you in order to live a more fulfilling life. I am not a therapist, but I am a person who believes when you put good out in the universe, good will be returned to you.
Its been a while sense we last spoke, but when you wear multiple hats you become busier than ever. This episode I want to share my approach to disengaging from social media and how to maintain my mental health.
The goal in life is to learn from your past mistakes, this way you're not repeating the same lesson over again. When you know better you do better!
This episode gets a little heavy, as I talk about social injustice and how it affects me in the workplace and my personal life.
This week I brought on another guest, Jarel Mac who is the host of "Guys Talk Too" Podcast. In this episode we talk about how to stay true to yourself even when life pulls you in multiple directions. Jarel shares his journey and process that got him to where he is now, and what's next for him moving forward.
Friends can be anyone who has been by your side and never left. On this episode, let's get acquainted with someone who I would consider a friend ChaseKassidy, who I gained a connection with due to our similar experiences dealing with major surgeries that affected our lives profoundly. In this episode we will sit in the uncomfortable space and explore how to get comfortable.
A lot of people ask me "What made get into Therapy?" and I always tell them its a long story so buckle up. In this episode I tell a shorten version of that story and speak about the different layers of myself I had to pull back in order to become the person I am today. I speak about the death of my grandmother, and the healing process to become whole again. The journey to peace and happiness doesn't happen over night, the road to healing takes time and regardless of how long that road is, the process along the way is worth it!
If you keep giving yourself to everyone, what is left for you? How do you show up for yourself? We tend to think that we have a responsibility to be there for everyone. In reality the only person we have to be there for is ourselves. I use to lose myself a lot because I was so worried about the role I had to play in other people's lives. However, through my own journey I learned that the only person that I need to show up for is myself.
