Sometimes life gives you a nudge. . . and other times, it gives you a big ol’ shove.
In this episode of the Powerful Content Podcast, Mel pulls back the curtain on a season of big change and why stepping back from her full-time business (and into a couple of Christmas casual jobs) was one of the best decisions she’s made.
This wasn’t a planned pivot. But it brought more joy, clarity and perspective than she could’ve imagined. Mel shares what it looked like to shift her business into side hustle mode, how it’s helped her reconnect with what matters most. Add to this the surprising benefits she’s experienced - like a boost in creativity, moving her body more and actually feeling excited about business again.
She also shares six powerful lessons from this experience and how she’s continued to build recurring income (without burning out) using Kajabi.
If you’ve ever felt like your business no longer fits the season you’re in, this one’s for you.
You’ll walk away with gentle questions to reflect on, so you can check in with yourself, your business, and what success really looks like right now. For you.

Have you ever wondered how to stay visible without having to be in all of the places, all of the time.? Trying to do visibility the way the experts tell you to can feel like you’re constantly stuck in a never-ending to-do list. But what if there was another way? A way that actually felt… aligned, spacious, and sustainable?
In this episode of The Powerful Content Podcast, Mel Daniels chats with introvert visibility coach Bree Boucher about what it really takes to show up without burning out.
Mel and Bree discuss the importance of aligning visibility strategies with your strengths, your personality, and your season of life, because visibility doesn’t have to mean being everywhere, all the time.
They unpack the mindset work that supports sustainable visibility, the role of manifestation in taking aligned action, and how collaboration can feel easier (not energy-draining).
You’ll also hear Bree’s practical ideas to shift unhelpful beliefs, identify your best-fit visibility platforms, and start putting yourself out there in a way that feels good.

Let’s be honest, email list growth can feel like a lot. Between expert advice that says you need fancy funnels, a hundred freebies, or to be everywhere all at once, it’s no wonder it feels overwhelming. But it doesn’t have to be.
In this episode, Mel Daniels guides you through a more grounded, purpose-driven way to grow your email list - one that prioritises connection over conversion, ease over hustle, and quality over quantity.
You’ll hear how the client journey (Connect → Subscribe → Nurture → Convert) can help simplify your strategy and give your email marketing more meaning. She’ll also walk you through what makes a powerful lead magnet, how to get it in front of the right people, and how to nurture your subscribers with heart.
Mel shares how she personally uses Kajabi to keep things simple; like setting up opt-in pages, automated emails, and even quick digital offers that support list growth without the stress.
Make sure that you take the time to ponder the reflective questions to help you journal your way to a more aligned and intentional approach to growing your list.

Hi, my name’s Rowena Preddy and I’m a small business branderer and magazine designer.
In Preddy Creative, I have two sides to my branding business. On one side, I design magazines (yes, that’s a thing!) and on the other, I create branding that feels familiar as soon as you see it.
While I’ll boldly back my mad design and branding skills every day of the working week, the part of the branding that I do (and I love the most) is how I work with small businesses. They love themselves sideways knowing that they can get the best business branding in two days and they can get it done and dusted without the branding bank balance being busted (aka, it’s absolutely afford-do-able!).

Do you believe that engagement is the most important thing when it comes to your social media content?
Well, despite what you may have been told, it’s not.
In this episode of the Powerful Content Podcast, Mel Daniels challenges the common belief that social media engagement is the most critical metric for business success.
She argues that while engagement—likes, comments, shares—is often touted by experts and algorithms, it does not necessarily translate to increased clients and revenue. Focusing on these 'vanity metrics' can distract from creating a holistic content strategy that leads potential clients through a journey to conversion.
The episode includes insights on why seeking validation through engagement is misleading, highlights the low engagement rates of successful businesses, and encourages a shift towards metrics that reflect meaningful actions, such as landing page visits, downloads, and sales. Mel also announces her upcoming masterclass, ‘Clicks to Clients,’ aimed at providing strategies to create content that converts. Tune in to learn why it's time to move beyond social media engagement and focus on what truly drives business growth.
