Thanks to globalization, internet and that is relatively easy travel while learning and experiencing from many cultures of the world. Arises the opportunity to learn from all the traditions, religions and theories that were developed through the whole history we have recorded. With all this as a base and aiming to generate “the theory of everything” Ken Wilber started the Integral Approach.
Here we have the luck to talk with Filip Kirilov that inspired by M.D. Dimitar Pashkulev become a trainer in the field of Integral Approach. He is also a specialist on permaculture design and regenerative agriculture. And together with her companion Barbara, are running Vegetarium project in the Balkan mountains (Bulgaria). Vegetarium it literally means “the perfect environment for growth”.

In this interview Filip Kirilov shares some of his knowledge and wisdom about how to develop a healthy lifestyle and routine (here I leave some extracts).

How to facilitate the transition from competition to cooperation based relationships?
Jo Claeys talks with Jose about non formal education and how it can be applied in different ways and different shapes. We also explore the question: How we can apply non formal education to support the development of rural communities?. Empowering whole communities by the continuous conscious questioning of Who says that?
We went deeper and talked about the values that we follow and the way this impacts our way of being active citizens in the World.
Jo is a father, a lover and also chose to be a non formal educator as lifestyle. Jo is currently living in Vila da Marmeleira, where he started the social enterprise: Produções Fixe. He has been working in the field of Non formal education at European level for more than 20 years and locally he started the concept of “Rural centers of Non Formal Education”.

Guy and Jose talked about legal frameworks that favour mutual aid and cooperative relationships, explored the potential of technology and blockchain for regeneration. Bárbara y José, el camino del Zen y de cómo fue introducido en Europa a través de su maestro Taisen Deshimaru. Hablamos de ego, dualismo, fé y finalmente sobre transformación social y en sus palabras, “Si la vida es un sueño... entonces hay que soñar!”
En los últimos 15 minutos podemos disfrutar del Kusen impartido durante la práctica de Zazen en el templo Shorinji luego de nuestra conversación.

Bárbara Kosen Richaudeau nace el 7 de junio de 1951. Estudia escultura y modelaje, también Historia y Arqueología en la Universidad de la Sorbona durante los años convulsos del París posterior a Mayo del 68. Allí, en un taller informal durante una huelga en su facultad, las palabras de un estudiante en su declaración de lo que para él significa ser budista producen en ella una íntima resonancia. Poco tiempo después, bajo la influencia de esta revelación, conocerá al Maestro Taisen Deshimaru, de quién recibirá la ordenación de monja Zen en 1975 y le acompañará hasta la muerte de éste en 1982.
El linaje Soto Zen que llega hasta Barbara Kosen, y el cual custodia, sostiene una actitud resuelta de actualizar el Zen en cada época y lugar, así como de primar la práctica de Zazen. Es el Linaje revolucionario que se inició con Shakyamuni, el Buda, reformador de la espiritualidad en la India. Es el linaje y senda también de Bodhidharma, quien regeneró el budismo al trasladarlo a China donde, al calor del Tao, germinó como Ch’an, Zen chino. Siete siglos más tarde Dogen también hará su viaje a China desde Japón; al regresar de este viaje establecerá, con su obra vital y escrita, los principios de la práctica más pura y profunda: Shikantaza -sólo sentarse-, iniciando el Zen Soto en su país.
En esta misma línea de no estancamiento el Maestro Kodo Sawaki, “Kodo sin morada”, estudioso del “Shobogenzo” de Dogen y renovador del languideciente Zen en Japón, encomendará en 1967 a Taisen Deshimaru la introducción del Zen en Europa, creando las condiciones de su evolución y rejuvenecimiento al sumergirlo en nuevas culturas y formas de pensamiento.
Siguiendo esta forma de actuar Bárbara Kosen parte a Suiza tras la muerte del Maestro Deshimaru, ocupándose de dirigir el Dojo Zen de Ginebra durante ocho años. En septiembre de 1993 recibe la Transmisión del Dharma de las manos del Maestro Kosen Thibault y a continuación se trasladará a España, concretamente a Madrid, donde en 1994 funda el Mokusan Dojo y la Asociación Zen Taisen Deshimaru.
Buscando un lugar apropiado en el cual desarrollar la Práctica en la acción, en el año 2001 erige el Templo Zen Shorin-ji bajo los riscos de Gredos en un bosque de la comarca de la Vera para continuar difundiendo el espíritu de la Vía y la práctica de Zazen. En este lugar, en el cual la directa manifestación de los fenómenos o cambios de la Naturaleza y la íntima vivencia del trabajo físico cotidiano se entremezclan familiarmente con Shikantaza, la Maestra Kosen imparte su enseñanza exacta y radical más allá de las contradicciones de una sociedad europea estupefacta, actualizando la esencia del Zen con actitud abierta, desapegada y fresca.
