https://www.facebook.com/bigedfishing/Episode Notes – BAM Podcast with Big Ed Everhart
Guest: Darryl Burkhardt
Topic: Building Long-Term Sponsorship Partnerships in Bass Fishing
In this episode of the BAM Podcast, host Big Ed Everhart sits down with accomplished angler and marketing strategist Darryl Burkhardt to break down what it really takes to build lasting, meaningful partnerships in the bass fishing industry.
Darryl shares a practical, step-by-step approach to securing sponsorships at both the local and national levels. Rather than focusing on short-term deals, he explains how anglers can position themselves as long-term marketing assets to businesses—both within and outside the fishing industry.
Throughout the conversation, Darryl addresses common fears that hold anglers back from pursuing partnerships, including how to approach potential sponsors, what to say, and how to present value with confidence. He outlines proven techniques for connecting with non-endemic companies and shows how anglers can offer real marketing solutions instead of simply asking for support.
A major highlight of the episode is Darryl’s “Seamless Marketing Package” concept, a structured system designed to help anglers attract, retain, and grow sponsor relationships. This approach focuses on consistency, professionalism, and delivering measurable value to partners over time.
Key topics covered in this episode include:
How to build long-term partnerships instead of one-off sponsorships
Approaching local and national businesses with confidence
Working with non-endemic sponsors outside the fishing industry
Creating value-driven marketing proposals
Overcoming fear when pitching yourself
The structure and benefits of Darryl’s Seamless Marketing Package
This episode is a must-listen for anglers who want to elevate their careers, improve their marketing presence, and build sustainable partnerships that support their fishing goals for years to come.
