Teaching-stories are seed bombs for the mind. Story of the Day draws exclusively from the vast collection curated over 40 years from across the Middle East, and South and Central Asia by the thinker and writer Idries Shah. Though many are whimsical and entertaining, they are designed to help improve the way we see ourselves and the world. Listen to the exploits of the incomparable wise fool, Nasrudin; selections from the World Tales collection, which includes classic tales shared across cultures since time immemorial; and the equivalent of story super smoothies from Tales of the Dervishes and Wisdom of the Idiots. 'So little is known to the academics, the scholars and the intellectuals of this world about these materials that there is no word in modern languages which has been set aside to describe them.
