Follow Deanna on TikTok - Deanna was bullied into creating TikTok by some school students and now she uses it to stay in touch with them and provide ongoing mentoring after school visits.
In the latest 1on1 with Sohan and Lau, they discuss the state of affairs of the feminism movement. Touching on the history of the subject, an attempt to acknowledge the citizen status of women, and elevate their quality of life beyond househelp. The movement has since morphed in three stages, from the working and sexual rights of women to being an umbrella term for the rights of all minorities. Today the term is even used as an insult to describe 'difficult' women. The episode gets into why this is the case, and how we can still shift the conversation back before it strays beyond its roots.
